We had dinner with friends at this cozy gem of a restaurant. The ambiance is amazing, you get the feeling of being in a small town in Italy. All dishes we tried were full of flavor and the service was fantastic. The owner stopped by our table to check up on our experience, and we greatly appreciated that gesture.

Piazzi in Frenchtown lives up to the hype, and then some. Stepping inside this BYOB gem feels like a transportive experience, instantly whisking you away to a rustic Tuscan trattoria. The meticulously crafted decor creates an undeniably authentic atmosphere. McKenzie, our server, was exceptional, offering insightful recommendations and providing flawless service. The food? Simply outstanding. We savored the rich penne vodka, hearty spaghetti bolognese with perfectly cooked meatballs, the crisp wood-fired margarita pizza, and the star of the night, my wife's beloved black-seasoned scallops with creamy risotto. To cap off a perfect meal, the delectable desserts and expertly crafted cappuccinos were the ideal finale.

Thank you Karim and team for making family night a huge success! All of our dishes were delicious and beautiful. Service was attentive and efficient. The pasta was out of this world. You don’t leave feeling bloated…. No need to drive to the city for excellent Italian. Very lucky to have this gem in our area. BYOB as well.

We were lucky to get a table since this is a small restaurant. I highly recommend making a reservation and asking for a table away from the door since there's a blast of cold air every time the door opens. The food was delicious! We were surprised there was no bread brought to the table and we weren't asked if we'd like coffee or tea when we ordered dessert. The desserts were average but the entrees were wonderful. I think this will be a very nice addition to the Frenchtown restaurants.

Ordered takeout from Piazzi after hearing a lot of great things by word of mouth. The margherita pizza was bland and the sauce didn't have much flavor. Chicken milanese was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Pappardelle bolognese was good but felt that it could benefit from more sauce. Pesto and vodka sauces were good. Sauce on the ravioli was the best out of them all. Pasta had a nice bite to it and cooked well. Overall, we thought it was too pricey with the relatively small portion sizes. We were also suprised that they didn't provide bread with our order.

We sat outside on a great day. My friend had a special arugula pizza I had the normal Margarita pie. He had tons of topping I could barely find my fresh basil? Ever go to a restaurant and your friend orders something that looks good and your choice seems disappointing by comparison??

Very friendly, hostess and Chef were amazing. The new building architecture and interior design is cozy and fun. Fresh pastas are delicious. Can’t wait to go back to try the pizza and salads. It’s byob and pricing is great considering everything is super fresh and authentic.

Delicious home made pasta. Definitely order the bread and save room for dessert. We had the home made tiramisu which was excellent. Attentive service. Highly recommend making a reservation.

Yelp
We went right as they opened with no reservation and were the only ones seated. We were given a very small table and I laughed inside when the waitress was bringing food and looks at me as to say where do you want me to put all this food? There were a couple other encounters the waitress was not the sharpest, but the food more than made up for it. The Chicken Milanese was exceptional as well as the Bella Italia Pizza. We look forward to visiting again and working our way through the menu. I will make a reservation moving forward, even if it is a time that doesn't need one.

Yelp
Omg amazing!! Wow Piazzi has left me speechless. I have been waiting for a good homemade italian restaurant around here and this is it. We had no problem finishing every single dish. The portions are good size and prices are a steal for the quality of the food. The service was amazing. All the staff were kind and so sweet. They gave great recommendations to what to get. We can't wait to go back! The ambiance was amazing, it felt like you were at your nona's house. It's such a small little place where it feels like you are part of the family. Even though it is on the smaller side it is definitely big enough so you're not sitting on top of people.

Yelp
We've been to Piazzi a few times. We love it. The food is always so delicious and we enjoy the cozy atmosphere. We've been fortunate to have Andrea care of us; he's an exceptional person. Makes us feel right at home. He is always happy to speak Italian with me. I'm practicing for our upcoming trip to Italy.

Yelp
When it's the only game in town, you gotta play. Well, we didn't really have to but we did. Started off good because they fit us in without a reservation on a Saturday at peak dinner service. Like another Yelper said, they pack so many tables in there that I'm hitting people's backs with my size 18 butt & knocking over people's little lampshades with my gut. The tables were so close together you could hear who was on a first date and what that husband & wife were arguing about. Anyway, because there's so many tables the small space gets loud. Irrationally loud. Our waiter comes & tells us they use flour imported from Italy and their pasta is made on premises. Sounds impressive right? We weren't impressed. My Pane was not a dipping-in-evoo type bread. It was hard & crispy. Crisp pizza crust is what it was. My meatballs were mid. Definitely not Razza's. My friend enjoyed her Margherita pie. But my other friend who got the rigatoni left hungry. That $22 portion was skimpy. Overall, just not a good experience and the food didn't make brownie points for it. The bathroom was nice though.

Yelp
Just had another great meal at Piazzi. Did not have reservations but friendly/professional owner managed to seat us in lovely outdoor patio. Started with arancini (rice balls) and fennel salad. I enjoyed Rigatoni Vodka- cooked al dente, sauce was perfect. Friend enjoyed a margherita pizza- that smells and tastes like ones we've had in Italy. Our own wine, a beautiful late spring night dining outdoors and attentive service. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Second time for this spot. Walked away disappointed. Had a reservation for 4:30. The RESY app for reservations did not work so we called for a reservation. We got there about 10 min early, the restaurant was empty. We were seated basically in the kitchen. My wife sat in the hallway between the kitchen and the main dining area. It was hot, uncomfortable and the table was small. We were finished by 5:20. The restaurant was still very empty at 5:20. Not sure why we needed to sit in front of the pizza oven. The portions were small and expensive. The food was good but, there are plenty of other places you can go for less money, better quality and better surroundings.

Yelp
The place is way over crowded and busy...... Just like the Cafe next door (Same owner) I did place a pizza take out order just to see how the food was and it was mediocre at best. The place is tacky looking on the exterior and doesn't blend into the local area, it belongs in a strip mall or pad site. TIP! Go across the street to Daniels or Napoli pizza for a good dinner without rubbing arms and legs in a "cozy" overcrowded over priced pizzeria. This place was hit and destroyed by an out of control truck years ago and hopefully history doesn't repeat itself while over occupied.

Yelp
I have been to PiAzzi close to a dozen times since it opened and all I see is happy people enjoying delicious food and smiling when they leave. The menu offers a great selection of authentic home-style Italian dishes. That said, the coffee rubbed filet is the best steak in Frenchtown for certain. And it's BYOB!!!

Yelp
This is a perfect place to go if you're looking for great food. For appetizers we got the Pane and Traditional Meatballs, both were great and not too heavy. For our entrees the portions were perfect and the dishes were amazing. For dessert we got the Tiramisu which was a delicious way to finish our meal. Our server Karim was friendly and outgoing.

Yelp
The place is amazing , great service .. I highly recommend this Place .. Best italian food !!!

Yelp
PiAzzi is simply exceptional. After seeing so many rave reviews, I had to experience it for myself, and it exceeded every expectation. The food is phenomenal--some of the best I've ever had in this area. The decor and ambiance create the perfect setting, and the staff's warmth and helpful guidance made the experience even better. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Excellent, 10/10....everything on the menu is incredible. Pesto pasta is amazing. You need to make a reservation and is byob. The owner is excellent and really cares about the customer experience.

Yelp
The food is excellent. They are using quality ingredients from the appetizers to the desert. The menu is small that being a plus for us. Even the espresso was excellent. Our waiter Mike was a great server. The atmosphere is very cozy and it's a joy to see this restaurant open on a Monday when most are closed. My family will frequent Piazzi. We recommend you try them and I will trust you'll be satisfied. John Brunetto Milford NJ / Hancock NY

Yelp
Food was delicious!! Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. It was so good we came back a second time in the same week! It was an overall tremendous experience and I'd highly recommend Piazzi if you're looking for a fun night and a great meal!

Yelp
Fresh, homemade & delicious. Staff was incredible and welcoming. Can't wait to go back

Yelp
I am local and was really looking forwarded to eating at Piazzi after years of watching the place be built. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The space is uncomfortable; there are too many tables crammed into a small space. As a result, the restaurant is claustrophobic and very loud. There is no vestibule, so if you are seated by the door (and it is winter), you will be cold. There is also limited space to wait for your table to be ready. While we had reservations, we still had to wait 10 minutes for our table even though they sat us at a table that was cleaned and set when we got there. For starters, we had the pane (very small portion) and caesar salads, which were fine. For entrees, we got pesto pasta, spaghetti pomodoro, pappardelle, and rigatoni a la vodka. The pancetta in the rigatoni a la vodka was awful. It was fatty and tasted awful. The pesto and spaghetti was fine; the best part was the pasta is homemade. The pappardelle was fair. My sister who ordered it said it was much better when she had in there a few weeks ago. We told the waiter about the pancetta and he said the cook would make more of it, but we declined the offer. We will not be returning.

Yelp
Excited to try a new restaurant after waiting so long for it to open. Every table full. Very friendly staff. Very loud because of close spacing on the tables. Now for the food. Paid for bread, five pieces of pizza bread, not exciting. Salad, good, could have added more then two small tomatoes when that is the key ingredient. Pasta with eggplant, too much pepper, had to cool down with sips of water between bites. Pasta with veal ragu, very good. Limoncello pie, and Affogato round out the meal. Overall, I would try again when they get the kinks out.
