"Leaving the park with a big group but aren’t quite ready to head home and watch TV alone? Find a table at Lers Ros. The Thai restaurant has a novel-length menu with plenty of noodle dishes, curries, soups, and more (plus lots of vegetarian options). It’s all served family-style, so we like to share a few things before calling it a night. "Lers Ros is the best last-minute group dinner spot in town. You have to order at least one type of meat that you’ve never eaten before (we’re partial to the alligator because have you seen that golf course video?). More conventionally, the tom kha khai and crunchy pork skin are some of the best things on the menu. If you feel like reminding yourself that we’re at the top of the food chain, you’ll leave happy. "There are three Lers Ros-es in the city (this Mission location, one in Hayes Valley, and another in the Tenderloin), and you can walk into any of them. But we like the Mission outpost as a jumping-off point for a night out in the area. The laidback Thai restaurant is the poster child for a casual weeknight dinner: there’s enough seating for your whole team to have a spontaneous bonding dinner, and the long menu of solid noodles, curries, and soups is the size of a short novel. "The menu at Lers Ros is so thick it could count as a short novel. It’s why we like to arrive with as many people as possible and order enough to make our waiter somewhat concerned. The Mission location has the space to fit your spontaneous team dinner or meal with your entire apartment and their significant others any night of the week. "Aside from the absurdly long menu, we love Lers Ros because you get a good amount of food for your money. Everything here is served family-style (usually enough for three to four people if everyone orders one thing), and at about $15 per large plate, it’s a great deal. Plus, there are a lot of tables, so you can show up last minute with a group and still be fine." - will kamensky
