"I can relax or join activities at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, a central green space located near museums and food trucks." - Patricia Doherty Patricia Doherty Patricia Doherty is a writer who specializes in covering destinations, resorts, and cruises for Travel + Leisure and other publications. "This public park spans more than five acres across the busy Woodall Rogers Freeway. It acts as a bridge connecting uptown to downtown, but it also has abundant green space, a paved trail for joggers or walkers, fountains, a dog park, and daily free programming, ranging from yoga to movie screenings. In November 2022, its most recent addition saw an improved 6,000 square foot children’s park open, including a state-of-the-art kids’ climbing wall and a shaded pavilion for events." - Priya Krishna, Jonathan Thompson

"Let’s start big picture here. This public park spans more than five acres across the busy Woodall Rogers Freeway. It acts as a bridge connecting uptown to downtown, but it also has abundant green space, a paved trail for joggers or walkers, fountains, a dog park, and daily free programming, ranging from yoga to movie screenings. In November 2022, its most recent addition saw an improved 6,000 square foot children’s park open, including a state-of-the-art kids’ climbing wall and a shaded pavilion for events. When should we go? The park directly abuts downtown Dallas's skyscrapers. At dusk, this makes for a spectacular photo op. At any time of day though, it's an urban retreat, perfect for picnicking or strolling through the landscaping. Was it easy to get around? The park is compact and easily accessible to all. Readily available maps highlight landmarks and transportation thoroughfares (it connects to the McKinney Avenue Trolley for easy access to uptown). So if we're short on time in Dallas, why would you recommend we make our way to Klyde Warren? Dallas has a decent amount of green space, but few parks are as new and well-maintained as Klyde Warren. With all of the other attractions in the area, you'll end up here at some point—and you won't regret it. Come for lunch when local food trucks park along the park's edge." - Laura Ratliff

"Fletcher’s Corny Dogs has a permanent food truck in Klyde Warren Park, so Texans no longer have to wait until the State Fair to get their mouths on one of the city’s most iconic bites. And no longer have to slog through the parking, crowds, and heat to enjoy it." - Eater Staff
"Klyde Warren Park, or KWP, is one of the best examples in the country of a next-generation green space. Built in place of what used to be a concrete-filled highway overpass, this 5.2-acre park is now a major social gathering place connecting Uptown with Downtown in the heart of Dallas. KWP is growing fast and offers great urban vistas, as it’s surrounded by modern, glistening architecture. The park offers something for everyone with food trucks, restaurants, playgrounds, concerts, dog parks, exercise classes, ping pong, and other games. Even better, it’s all free — except the food and drinks." - MATADOR_NETWORK
