"Ze French Touch in Montreal Grenadine is a BYOW (bring your own wine) type of restaurant that focuses on flavors and dining experience rather than on fancy decor or amazon waitresses. Using local ingredients only, chefs Alex Duchastel and Nicolas Beaupré have tried to craft a menu where international flair, oriental spices, and a French touch are the main ingredients of each dish. And to this I say: mission accomplished. The duck magret in a rich cherry sauce is one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life. If it's on the menu, order it."

The Best Montreal BYOB Restaurants - Eater Montreal

"Located where downtown meets the Latin Quarter, this restaurant from Alex Duchastel de Montrouge and Nicolas Beaupré offers Fresh cuisine (with a twist). The chefs “try to be as eco-conscious as possible” and “promote the excellence of Québec’s culinary products” with every dish. Look for hearty plates like duck confit, creamy snail risotto, and beet salad with whipped goat cheese." - Holly Tousignant, Eater Staff

Very small place. Service is outstanding , truly exceptional, defineatly a 5 🌟. Food is ok, although nothing close to the exceptional service, hence why a 3 🌟 is the fair mark. Bring your own wine and this is a plus for sure. Verdict : give it a try.

Nice tiny place, but the food isn't so special and the plates are tiny as well. Better to take the degustation plate or it will not be enough. Make sure you eat everything, for myself, I was pretty limited and it wasn't for me, unfortunately.

It's rare that I leave a restaurant already anticipating my next visit. From the superb cuisine to the impeccable and friendly service, this tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant is a feast for the senses. Before we went, we had decided to get the six course surprise tasting menu with some trepidation, since a few in our group had allergies/dietary requirements. There was absolutely no need for concern, as our wonderful waitress immediately asked us a series of questions to ensure our meals would suit our particularly tastes and requirements. We left most reluctantly, in happy food comas.

Had a wonderful time at grenadine last night, tried the 6 course surprise dinner and it was great. The menu is adventurous, the plate compositions are different than what I've ever tried, but we wanted to try a new place with an adventurous menu. Service was great, place is very small and quaint - would recommend!

Absolutely loved my time at Restaurant Grenadine. The restaurant itself is compact, providing a cosy, intimate dining experience. From the entrance, you are greeted with a view into an efficient kitchen hard at work. My party contained a few members with complicated dietary restrictions. We reserved a table, let the restaurant know ahead of time we might be challenging and how. The waitstaff was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. They paid particular care to ensure they knew how to create a superb dining experience for all. All enjoyed the tasting menu. We saw a range of gorgeously presented dishes covering a wide swath of the menu and my plate went back clean. I look forward to going back to revisit those dishes and to explore other parts of the menu. Some like the blood sausage or the venison stand out in my mind, but a part of me would be tempted to jump directly to one of the more-ish desserts.
