"Champagne Bar? Count Me In. Rustic elegance is the order of the day at La Champagnerie, a champagne-only bar in Old Montreal . Between the delicious cocktails, heaven-sent food, and exposed brick walls of this historic building, the drinking experience will be memorable. The menu features over 50 different brands of bubbly (including real champagne, cava, and prosecco) and a very entertaining sabering act, as well as brie poutine and oysters. Contrary to popular belief, la Champagnerie isn't that expensive. Yes, there is the odd $500+ bottle, but visitors can easily enjoy a meal and a cocktail or two without needing to remortgage their house. A very nice way to spend an evening, if you ask me—champagne, Old Montreal, and good music. Santé!"

Montreal Taco Restaurant La Catrina Will Take Over Former Le Cagibi Space | Eater Montreal

"Originally opened by Emiliano Gonzalez Camarena as La Champagnerie, I note that the establishment is now known as Maison Saint‑Paul and is no longer under Gonzalez Camarena’s ownership." - Tim Forster

Keyword: All-you-can-eat sirloin steak and fries, $44 per person. It's a good value, but not exceptional. How to Play: The first plate is a set meal: bread, salad, steak, and fries. You must finish it all. From the second plate onwards, you can order just the steak without the fries. You have a two-hour limit, until you stop. The sirloin was decent, but unevenly distributed. Some pieces had a lot of tendons, so it all depends on your luck. Cooking was on point or sometimes 1 point above cooking asked.

The restaurant is beautiful and has an all-you-can-eat steak and fries option on Thursdays. They start you off with warm bread, butter, and a fresh salad before bringing out the steak and fries. Just a tip: if you don’t want fries with your second plate, make sure you emphasize it—otherwise, they’ll bring them again by default. The all-you-can-eat deal requires you to finish your first plate before getting another. Overall, it’s a great spot, though it can get a little loud if you’re planning to have a long conversation.

This place is no doubt most popular on Thursday's for it's awesome AYCE steak & frites special. The steak is pretty good quality but not amazing as far as the meat quality itself goes. However the kitchen staff are skilled and cooked all 4 of my courses fantastically. The pepper sauce was a good compliment. Fries were not my preferred variety but appropriate for the plate. I came here on my birthday, although nothing was offered for the occasion it was a fantastic experience. Our server was very professional too. Atmosphere-wise it stands up to any other restaurant in the Old Port minus a few top picks.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this time I felt like I had to. Maison St-Paul had been on my list for a while, especially for the Thursday “all you can eat steak and fries” special. We finally gave it a try — but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. We arrived at 7:30pm and placed our order. The first round of steak came out in about 4 minutes, which was surprisingly fast — but unfortunately, none of the steaks were cooked as requested. My medium rare came out well done. Still, we gave it another shot and ordered a second round at 8:15pm… but it didn’t arrive until 8:45pm. When it finally came, the meat was tough and full of tendons. It completely killed my appetite. The group behind us also seemed unhappy with how their steaks were cooked, so it wasn’t just us. The service was also disappointing. Our waiter only checked in three times the entire evening, which really didn’t help the situation. I don’t mind paying — but when the quality and service are both off, it’s hard to enjoy the experience. For us, the Thursday deal simply wasn’t worth it. After we left, I checked the reviews — and it turns out a lot of people had the same experience. This is just our honest opinion.

We went on a Thursday night as a group of 4. They had an all you can eat steak and frites for $44 Canadian dollars. It was totally worth it and fulfilling. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very fancy and the waiter was kind and responsive. Great place for steak

I went to their all-you-can-eat steak on Thursday, and the experience was great. The steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare, and the sauce was decadent. The service was very fast as well. The food arrived within a few minutes after I ordered it. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves steaks.

Very cool space. Staff is fantastic. We had the all you can eat steak frites. The pepper sauce was really good. The steak was good and the fries were really good too. Will definitely return.

Service was wonderful, and the food didn’t disappoint. There’s plenty of reviews about the steak but I really have to say that it was a delicious steak, the flavour really came through and it was perfectly cooked. The sides also were great. I don’t usually like lobster but they cooked the lobster to really enhance the flavour
