Daniel Scordato’s fine-dining landmark defines Tucson’s love affair with Northern Italian cuisine: sweeping mountain views, polished service, and textbook pastas and veal. Regularly praised by local food critics and recognized by OpenTable and Tucson Foodie, it’s a perennial special-occasion favorite that still feels personal.

Having been to Vivace over a dozen times in the past four months, I haven't had a single poor experience. Each dish I've had (nearly everything on the menu) has been perfectly curated and beautifully presented. Staff, from valet to hostess to servers, are friendly and professional. The bartenders have "top-shelf" personalities to match their skills. The owner, Dan, often personally thanks guests on their way out. Vivace offers an intimate setting with spectacular views, marvelous food, perfect cocktails, and unreal desserts.

First time at this restaurant. Greatly enjoyed the food and service. Great outdoor seating. The Vivace Manhattan was excellent. Great flavor and cook on the pasta dishes. The menu offers up some tasty looking options. We will be back to try some other dishes.

Love this place! It was our first time here ...Sat out on back patio, which was lovely. All the food and drinks were excellent! Try the super garlicky escargot! We also enjoyed the stuffed pork chop, seafood lasagna and grilled sea bass.

One of the finest meals we've had in Tucson ... and that's saying something. From the simple but elegant tables and decorations, to the superb wait staff -- attentive but not bothersome, to the superb food (well, with one teensie weensie exception) ... and the views (both from the Southern 'lower dining room' to the Northern 'upper dining room and patio ... this is a simply wonderful place to eat, to dine, to enjoy each other's company. My wife adored the Veal Piccata. I thought that meatballs and marinera sauce were the VERY BEST in Tucson (although I think I would have preferred the linguine to the penne that I ordered). AND the "Birthday Creme Brulee" was superb. We liked the Birthday Creme Brulee so much we ordered a 'standard' Creme Brulee. Again, it was great (and for only $10.00!!!) but they had not flamed the maple sugar long enough, and so there was some graininess of the unmelted sugar on the bottom of the caramelized topping. This was one, every so slight, blemish, in what was an all-around magnificent dinner. (Sorry, Google will not allow me to upload photos taken with my iPhone.)

From the outside, it really dors look like an Italian villa. When we walked in, it did as well. It was a quality experience for my cousin and I. We were celebrating my birthday. We are half Italian and appreciate good quality food. This restaurant delivered that and more. The food, the service, and the atmosphere made all the difference in the world. The entrée was delicious, the bread they served was as well, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. We had the crème brûlée and the lemon mousse dessert. If you want a quality experience with the atmosphere of Italy, please visit them.

Google
Very nice restaurant. Friendly waitress. Bartender saw us standing behind a crowded bar and he personally walked up to my husband and I and took our order. His drinks were 100% well made and served! Dinner was delicious as well as dessert! We got the meatballs Alfredo, penne sausage for dinner. We tried all the desserts and they were all tasty. The wine selection was excellent and the waitress recommend a wonderful Italian red wine! Highly recommend when visiting Tucson

Google
We had such a great time here! The service was absolutely wonderful - super friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. The food was excellent, full of authentic Italian flavor and beautifully presented. Every dish came out hot and fresh, and you could tell everything was made with care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality Italian meal in town (there's not a lot of great options in Tucson)

Google
To be honest my wife and I were very excited to visit and eat here because we heard amazing things about the food. We personally found the food to be very bland. The bread and pesto was amazing which I had to put that pesto sauce on my food to make it taste like anything. We both didn’t finish our food leaving a lot of it on the table and they didn’t even ask if we liked it while taking ours plates. For the price and taste of the food we will not be going back.

Yelp
We celebrated my father's surprise birthday party at Vivace. From beginning to end it was a pleasure. Tess the Cordinator ensured our event went seamlessly. The staff was attentive, helpful & professional. From wine, appetizers, salad & dinner, we never had to look or ask for anything. The food was delicious, we had Salmon with rock shrimp, chicken with eggplant & perfectly cooked filet. The gelato was a favorite of mine. We look forward to our next dining experience at Vivace. I highly recommend for any occasion but they will make a special occasion extra memorable. We are so thankful we celebrated our Dad with Vivace. (even the valet went the extra mile to help us load the car after our event)

Yelp
Really wanting to try this place for awhile so happy we could make it out for my birthday. The ambiance is very romantic & open. Loved the outside seating area & beautiful view of the skyline. Great for date nights or special occasions. Food was not what I was expecting for the incredibly high prices. I personally ordered the penne and thought it was perfectly fine. At a $28 price point I was a bit disappointed. Best dish was the special of the night (not pictured) but it was delicious!! It was a white fish with mushrooms & vegetable rice. Service was fine, it took over an hour to get the food & sometimes felt like it was taking a while to get some things done, but staff was friendly & offered free dessert for birthday. Overall, the food was good but the price point is hefty to say the least. Would try again for a special occasion!

Yelp
We had a lovely meal here -- the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the overall experience was enjoyable. The ambiance is warm and elegant, and it definitely feels like a place for a special outing. A couple of items I was hoping to try weren't available that day, including the short rib rigatoni and the wild mushroom risotto, which was a bit of a bummer since those were my first picks. I ended up going with the pork Parmesan. The flavors were nice, but the meat itself came out a little dry. On the other hand, the deep-sea scallops were fantastic -- tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. If I had one critique, it would be the plating. Some of the dishes came out looking a little messy with sauce spread around the plate, which took away from the presentation a bit. That said, everything tasted fresh, and the service really made up for the small shortcomings. Overall, a very good dining experience -- I'd happily come back and hopefully catch the dishes I missed out on this time.

Yelp
We still don't get the hype. We went for my birthday and were seated in a very full dining room with nice views and a nice enough server. She was busy so our service was slow. Dinner for both of us was just okay. Husband had the stuffed shrimp which that he qualified as unremarkable, with bland, uninteresting sauce - he wouldn't order it again. I had the penne with sausage, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't really good. In our view, a real 5-star restaurant should have both outstanding food and service. This had neither. Best part of the meal was the comped dessert but the meal and the experience were not memorable.

Yelp
It's kinda geared towards old people. They say it empties out by 7pm, so if you're looking for a private eating place here you go. But because it's for old people you may need to ask them to up the seasoning. I'm sure they will be happy to oblige. We had the souffle, which wasn't really a souffle, but a nice egg dish. Then the seafood soup pasta and the short rib pasta, we asked for the pepper and they were great. The serving sizes weren't small either. Sure it's a high end place but the prices aren't ridiculous like more nicer places. The service was fantastic and really made the evening better. They even got wind we were there for a birthday celebration and brought by a treat.

Yelp
Always an amazing meal! Everything I have tried on the menu over the last 11 months has been fantastic! I'm new to the area and so happy I found this gem. I love the ambiance and the jazz playing in the background is so relaxing. The service at the bar is impeccable! Eli, Jeff, Matt and Zack are wonderful. They remember what I like and they take the time to ask how I am, no matter how busy they are. And they are VERY busy most nights! I frequent this establishment because frankly, the service cannot be beat. But the food and drinks are spot on as well!

Yelp
My husband and I absolutely loved Vivace! The bartender / server Jeff was so personable and elevated the experience that much more. The wine menu has something for everyone and the food was chefs kiss! We ordered the pork chop & barramundi and absolutely loves them both. We never order desserts but Vivace knew how to get us weak in the knees so we got a half bread pudding, half crème brûlée, and half almond something or other ‍ All of them were phenomenal and we didn't feel bad one bit for ordering not 1 but 3 desserts. We highly recommend Vivace and will definitely be back next time we're in Tucson.

Yelp
Our last visit to Vivace may have been an off-day but our experience was definitely not up to the standard that we have previously experienced. Our evening started out well the usual great service from the parking lot attendant. We were escorted to a table on the opposite side of the floor from where we had requested. We noticed empty tables in the more desirable area that we had requested. The noise from the large adjoining "group" celebrating a birthday made any conversation difficult at best until they left. Considerable time expired before we received waters and had our drink orders taken. Further time expired before we had our order taken. Whenever the waiters were present, they seemed rushed. (Not our usual experience) After having had veal for our previous two recent visits, we decided to go for the grilled beef tenderloin. Both plates arrived luke warm. The filet was extremely tender and cooked perfectly. The asparagus was a disappointment - large, woody & stringy. If young tender asparagus is unavailable, maybe consider substituting fresh green beans? The chewy bread and fragrant pesto were, as usual, a pleasure. Service was acceptable, if sub par. In this price point, reputation, view and ambiance are insufficient to ensure customer loyalty. Details matter & the experience ( timing plus a friendly hostess greeting, and an attentive, yet, unobtrusive waitstaff), is almost as important as the food. We have seen similar comments made by others & hope management will take note. When we return, we look forward to being able to raise our rating.

Yelp
This is a restaurant that no longer provides a consistent first-class experience. The Roasted Guaymas Shrimp U-12) with seafood stuffing was a pathetic imitation of the menu description. The shrimp was near tasteless and considerably smaller than U-12. The seafood stuffing had no seafood flavor whatsoever and the filling to shrimp ratio was about 3:1.

Yelp
First timer for friend's birthday luncheon. Ambiance and setting is bright, airy, large high ceilinged wood accented dining room with open courtyard, and bar right as you enter. There were several steps to enter if that's a hindrance for mobility, not sure if there is a walk around ramp. Large parking lot for easy parking. Service was great, 2 baskets (5 of us) of very fresh, crusty, warm and pillowy chewy white bread, like a French loaf actually, draped in white napkins with a well balanced basil garlic aoili without the garlic burn but plenty of its flavor, came out quickly. It was delightful and nourishing as we awaited our fifth guest. 5/5 Prices sting for Lunch so go big and have leftovers for 2nds ;) !! Waiter rec the Chicken Marsala $23.95 over the Seafood Mushrooms/salad $21.95 in part as more substantial and one of his faves. Although Marsala definitely present, I found the sauce with mushrooms to be a little light in depth and thought vegetable noodles meant the noodle was made of veggies. Instead slivers of snow peas and carrots laced the noodles like an Americanized stir fry oddly. Would much preferred a side of steamed veg vs the noodle sprinkling. My mind kept reading lo-mein haha. The noodles were delicate and likely house made which was a pleasant plus and I took a demi portion home with the leftover bread/ aoili :) Didn't check off my hankering for Chix Marsala so Rating 3/5* Tasted friend's Shrimp Crab Cakes $23.50 but not salad. Lovely crisp exterior, tad fishy but she loved them and also got creme bruleed on house for her birthday, nice touch with spoons all around. Vivace would be a special occasion spot that I may re-visit but with several others to try, Round 1 may not have been impressive enough to overcome the price point and jaunt from Vail.

Yelp
We had a large group of 24 people for an early dinner on the beautiful patio. The food was delicious, as always, and the service was performed unobtrusively and efficiently. I had the fish special, which was sea bass, and my husband had the mixed seafood soup. Serving sizes were large- we both had leftovers for the next day. My fish was tender and juicy. His soup was loaded with a variety of different types of seafood. And, not to be forgotten, was the delicious Italian bread with pesto dipping sauce.

Yelp
Recently went and had an overall pleasant experience! The service was good, the ambiance was that of classic elegance and it wasn't stifling it was just nice! The food was pretty good! I had one of their shrimp crab cakes and that was tasty! The seafood soup was also great and a generous portion size! The real stars, however, were the dessert! The bread pudding and tiramisu were to die for and the drinks were strong!

Yelp
I sat at the bar for dinner, while I was in town for business. The Bartendars were engaging, thorough and had great knowledge of both the dinner menu and the cocktails as well as wine parings. Their were efficient and tended to everyone. The restaurant atmosphere was lively and it was very clean. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
amazing italian food with a great view of tucson, perfect for any celebration! Haven't had anything here I don't like. The service is great and everything is delicious.

Yelp
Anniversary dinner. Always amazing! Great service and beautiful old French Bostro Ambiance. Great to be back. See pics for story...

Yelp
Great Italian food but much more traditional. The ambiance is so pretty here as the restaurant looks over the whole city. The Caesar salad was delicious, however the seafood soup seemed like it needed more spice or flavor. It is a large dish and great for sharing. The chocolate lava cake was great and definitely worth the wait. Make sure you plan ahead with reservation.

Yelp
Vivace is truly exceptional--classy atmosphere, stunning views, and absolutely outstanding Italian cuisine. Every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish--highly recommend!

Yelp
Located in the foothills, surrounded by beautiful mountain views, is Vivace. Totally recommend making reservations in advance as many people celebrate special events, including me and my husband (our anniversary). They were very busy on a Saturday night, so the server and service was slower. The food was good, they cooked my scallops well, but it didn't blow my mind. They did bring us out a crème brûlée to share for our anniversary, which was a nice touch. It's definitely a nicer restaurant to dine out for celebrations.

Yelp
We came here for dinner last night (a Wednesday in September), and the food was hit or miss. I really enjoyed two of the appetizers we tried: the escargot with artichokes and the seafood-stuffed mushrooms. The burrata was just okay. However, there were only four pieces of escargot, and the rest of the dish was mostly artichokes. The crab-stuffed chicken was a bit plain but also felt too rich and heavy. The salmon was overly buttery, and while the spinach was bitter, the shrimp topping was delicious. I had two Passionate Saints during the meal. The first, made by the regular bartender at the beginning, was excellent--nicely balanced, not too sweet or spicy. The second, made later by a different bartender, tasted off and wasn't nearly as good. As for the other drinks, the Negroni wasn't as bitter as usual and leaned slightly sweet, which I didn't care for. The Purple Haze had a bitter taste that I didn't enjoy, and the Flirtini, unfortunately, reminded me of medicine.

Yelp
The service was excellent, all the way down to the valet, the owner was so pleasant, the decor lovely and the food absolutely delicious, expertly prepared and well presented. We were in from Houston which has a great food scene and the experience here was superb.

Yelp
I started writing this review a few weeks back and never finished! My husband and I went here at the end of January in a Friday night. I called before and was able get in a last minute reservation which I was happy about. That changed after being seated and having preeeetty slow service. The server was so great and I believe trying her best, but it really affected the experience to be sitting for such long periods. One thing I really appreciated though was how helpful she was. I asked for a mock tail and after asking me what I liked (sweet and fruity), she said she'd have the bartender whip up something. The drink she brought back had a grapefruit flavor. When she asked about it, I let her know and she brought back something to mix jn which helped a little. She was really adamant about me liking it and let me know that if I didn't, she would take it back for a new one. I told her it was fine. This kind of service really helps when experiencing other lows like mentioned above. Anyway, last time I ate here I really liked my meal and it was over a year ago so I thought I'd try it again. The chicken risotto for me and stuffed mushrooms appetizer. The stuffed mushrooms were okay and the risotto dish disappointed. There were crunchy bits. My husband got a pasta that he felt lacked flavor, however I liked it, a lot better than my dish. Overall a disappointing experience from a restaurant I previously held in high regard.

Yelp
Vivace never disappoints. In fact we tried a month ago to get a reservation for Valentine's Day and they were already booked so we went the day before. We both ordered different dishes that were amazing. I'm beginning to wonder if the chefs there ever strike out? I know I haven't seen it. The service was as wonderful as usual. We were seated facing the city and the mountains. So beautiful. We have never been seated at that place and I think it's my favorite because of the views. With a lot of places lacking in service and big prices for food that is not good. We decided Vivace is the best and will continue to come here.

Liz S.

Yelp
wow, amazing service and food and beautiful setting for a birthday party. We had with 12 people our weight staff or Candace and Oscar. Candace was outstanding helping me pick the best appetizers to have ready as the guest arrives and a great selection of wine I have the special of the evening. it was a barony fish and it was absolutely delicious. it was a perfect birthday party. We started out on the patio so we could nibble on order perturbs and mingle freely and then we came inside for the sitdown dinner. Wow I would do this again 1000 times.

Imelda K.

Yelp
As always this place doesn't disappoint us. We took our friend out for a retirement lunch and she was thrilled with the ambiance, the food was delicious, our service was delightful. Amazing place.

Yelp
My wife and I went here for my birthday. They hooked us up with a great table with an excellent view over the valley. The server was friendly and professional and answered all questions easily. The food was great and had enough to take home for another meal. High;y recommended for a special night out but reasonable enough to eat anytime!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing service and good food. I wish we had been seated by the window overlooking the great view. It was our first time there, and I chose to have dinner there for my birthday. For a Wednesday night, the place was full. That's why a reservation is a must. They also have a dress code. It was a pleasant experience overall. I will definitely return.

Yelp
Everyone is understaffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. Remember they're busy because they're good. This restaurant still has that old time feel it's a definite classic type vibe. It's in the sense of good food and high quality. It has that atmosphere of any old school restaurant in any major city. You walk in and the restaurant has a very nice. You're a nice atmosphere. There are great views if you can get em. I was dining alone and early and I found that there is a seat at the bar. Vivace established in 1993 So they have been open for over 30 years. They serve Northern Italian Cuisine. I have been there several times probably four over the last few years and i'm always Is impressed by the staff the bartenders and the consistency and good quality of the food. They have great Cocktails and wonderful wine list. They have great appetizers and salads that can make for a wonderful lunch or light dinner Every main course is served with style and grace, from pasta, to Fish to steaks. It's a fine dining experience.

Yelp
Came in for our anniversary dinner. This restaurant is located directly across from La Encantada mall and sits high up. There are city views from the inside of the restaurant but if you want outdoor seating, there's garden and mountain views. The inside is nice and spacious with many windows. Best thing about our dinner here was definitely the service. Our waitress was so friendly and gave us wonderful service. Her name was Jameela and you could tell she cared about giving you the best dinner experience. We started with soup of the day which was shrimp bisque. It was very good! Next, we ordered an appetizer (a baked soufflé). It wasn't very tasty, as it just tasted like egg and cheese sauce. It was lacking something! Next, we shared a Caesar's salad and it was good. For entrees, we ordered the meatballs and beef tenderloin. Meatball dish was super cheesy and meatballs were practically tasteless. The beef tenderloin was tasty. For our anniversary, they brought us creme brulee & THAT was delicious! Overall, the food was average.

Yelp
Some of Tucson's finer dining, with a hilltop view, exemplary service, and an extensive wine list. If you call yourself a foodie and you live in Tucson, you have to give it a try! What I loved: The complimentary bread and pesto is outstanding and really sets the tone. Overall, there's no mistaking the high quality of the entrees, either. I had a pork chop, stuffed with fontina and spinach. Perfectly fried and sitting in a salty, rich demi-glace. Also tried my girlfriend's crab-stuffed chicken--the seafood is clearly a cut above the rest here. What I liked: A variety of memorable desserts, particularly their take on spumoni, with walnut gelato replacing what would usually be pistachio. The creme brulee was straight lavish--the taste was so brilliant I forgave them for not torching it long enough. The cocktails are really nifty too, they're pricey as your average high-end craft cocktail bar, but also come with a neat little bonus reservoir containing a second helping. Just one white negroni and I was buzzed. What needs work: Dishes are missing a bit of a kick. I should have taken the hint when servers offered freshly-cracked black pepper while presenting our dishes, and I still kick myself as I write this review for refusing! This place has the stuffiest of boomer clients and I heard one complain about the black pepper being too spicy, so I get it. Also? The cocktails portions are generous, but they are actually not that good--there was nothing in the white negroni to substitute for some campari so the whole thing tasted like peach schnapps. Overall, the heavy-hitting cast of entrees are so good they'll make you forget about the less important aspects of your experience. Come here for a date night, or when you just want to feel classy!

Cynthia T.

Yelp
The best chicken meatballs I've ever had! Lovely ambiance; great views! Lovely service! Definitely a must!

Jim C.

Yelp
The preparation of all dishes is true to the recipe. The staff provides precise service. The overall experience and ambiance of the space make for a delicious and delightful dining experience.

Yelp
I walked into a nice atmousphere for lunch recently. The waiter introduced himself as David. Good service. Good food. Let's eat!!! I had chicken marsala. It was great!!!

Yelp
Fantastic menu so many choices. I asked for pasta off the menu and they accommodated me. The portions are very big and I had such a good time. I forgot to photograph my food, but trust me all three of us enjoyed our meals and next time I'm in Tucson, I will go back. It's a beautiful restaurant and you can hear very well as the tables are spaced apart.

Yelp
another great dinner at Vivace! The soup of the day was great, with red peppers and mushrooms. I love the consistency and the service at Vivace. A lot of restaurants can have inconsistent food or service but Vivace keeps the same quality of food and service. This is what makes us coming back! 3rd time here, and will be returning! The tiramisu is my favorite I have ever tried from an italian restaurant, it's also always a big piece! Such a beautiful place you can't go wrong here!

Douglas A.

Yelp
We were seated immediately and had a great server who introduced herself! My Scotch was fantastic and large! Our dinners were excellent, and the portions were more than we could eat, so we took some home for the next evening. Our guest from California mention she could see why Viveca's was our farolito place to have dinner!
google avatar

Kenzie G.

Yelp
Delicious food and great service. I was sat behind a column so I didn't have much of a view, would have loved to sit outside or by a window, as it's otherwise kind of dreary in the restaurant. Food was absolutely outstanding. I would 100% return again/recommend as one of the better Italian restaurants in Tucson. Would love some more options for non alcoholic beverages as well. They do have one mocktail on their menu and 3-4 soft drinks to choose from, none of which were drinks I would/did enjoy.
google avatar

Steve R.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant is no longer a favorite. I've enjoyed many meals there and have always brought my visitors to enjoy this restaurant. Until today. My guest and I were seated next to a table of 10 very loud and boisterous individuals who were drinking. I asked to seated in a quiet area. There were many tables empty and available in the much quieter main dining area. The waiter went to check for me about seating, the hostess appeared and very bluntly said they were busy and it is going to be noisy and there were no other tables available. Basically - take it or leave it. At that point we had already placed our orders with the waiter and felt obligated to remain. And we did. But we couldn't hear each other over the noise from this large party that increased in proportion to the alcohol being consumed. We ate quickly, skipped dessert and departed an hour after we arrived, and left passing through the still half empty main dining room. An unnecessarily ruined lunch with a friend, and the loss of a longtime customer. It's not what we've come to expect from Vivace

Yelp
Went to celebrate 2 birthdays, Everything was amazing! Great service from Kendra J. started with the Spinach and cheese souffle and escargot with artichoke, both were really good. entrees we had stuffed pork chop cooked to perfection, chicken and asparagus risotto was creamy, delicious with just the right amount of firmness in the rice. I had the Veal Picatta which was tender and seasoned perfect. Can't wait to go again and enjoy the great people, food and view.

Yelp
Update: I helped a friend sell his daughters RAV4 that was left behind when she left the USA. Craigslist posting , underpriced it by 1000. And a 1000 over the sight unseen offer from the Paid bluebook appraisal. Best 5.00 ever spent. Anyway this was the thank you dinner for the father, uncle and me for a all expense paid dinner. The dinner was a special for all of us and we didn't hold back. Ok, we skipped desert. Excellent, and and spot to come back to.

Michael M.

Yelp
It started with the hostess. There was no greeting, acknowledgment, nothing, just a blank stare. She must be the owners daughter, because with a personality like that anybody else would have been fired a long time ago. Then there was the food. The caesar salad was just awful. The branzino was an oily mess. The rice tasted like it came from a hospital food tray. This was the absolute worst meal I have ever been served. Our waitress and beverage servers were pleasant. On the way out, once again, there was no "thank you" "goodbye" or any type of acknowledgment. No more vivace for us.

B G.

Yelp
Let me tell you what an awesome place the lunch was out of this world. It was a surprise because my girlfriend decided to take me there and we got to meet Jeff and John the bartenders. We will most definitely go there again. Love the atmosphere. Love the food great cocktails it's a must happen. Five star.

Yelp
Every time I come get the food is impeccable in flavor and consistency. The kitchen staff have it down to an art! My favorite is the Crab filled Breaded Chicken Breast... there are no words that can describe this dish but if I have to... buttery and comfort would be on the list. The Fruit Napoleon was nothing like I've had before with crunch and sweet cream and fruit... But any dessert on their menu can transport you to sugar land. In addition to the excellent food, the panoramic views of the city and outdoor dining options with the mountains as backdrops is an extra plus. Reservations highly recommended as they book out weeks in advance for prime dinner times. Complimentary valet parking available.

Yelp
The comfortable inner ambience and the spectacular views of Tucson immediately grab your attention upon entering Vivace. The service all around is excellent. If Jackie takes care of your table, consider it a privilege. The cocktails are delightful. If you posses a curiosity (or apprehension) for trying escargot for the first time, this is the place to do it. Buttery, garlicky, deliciousness. The crab cakes are top of the line. The veal piccata is so tasty it's almost overwhelming. The crab-stuffed chicken breast blends the best of both worlds. If you have room, the crème brûlée and the sorbetto are sweet and refreshing ways to end your experience. Vivace is a must for special occasions or a wholesome night out.

Yelp
Had not been here since it was Anthony's! Visiting Tucson, invited sister in law and niece to join us for dinner. Gracious hostess seated us, and we were immediately offered drinks. Crusty bread served. Started with the antipasto for 2, which was plenty for 4. Nice assortment of tasty nibbles, with more grilled crusty bread! Wife had rib eye meatballs and fettuccine Alfredo. Tasted good, but didn't care for the soft texture. I had the pork parmigiana, and enjoyed it. Generous serving of the pork, and a mound of absolutely delicious vegetable pasta. Just the right amount of fresh tasting marinara sauce. I had a chilled glass of the house sweet Vivace red wine. With the rich antipasto and meat meal, it was refreshing and bright! The other 2 ladies highly enjoyed their meals. Rib eye meatballs, and a 4 cheese manicotti. Pacing by the great server was perfect, we never felt rushed or neglected. Decided to have dessert. Wife is a Spumoni addict, so had their version. Good, but not her favorite. Other to ladies devoured their creme brulee, so I guess it was delicious. I had the bread pudding, and really liked it, made with croissants, which were a nice touch. Overall we highly enjoyed our meal. Ambience was perfect for us, nice decor and layout. View of the city was really a special treat! All the staff were excellent!!! Highly recommend this restaurant, a great place to meet with friends or family.

Yelp
Surprisingly, first time here. Beautiful Italian restaurant located North side of Tucson. Staff were friendly! The manager was welcoming and kindly brought me to my dinner table to enjoy my night with my girls. This restaurant is perfect for date nights, girls night, and family dinner. Great selection of food- from appetizers to salads and to the main course. Stuffed mushrooms were delicious! A must if you like mushrooms. I enjoyed my Veal (Osso Buco). Veal shanks in vegetable tomato sauce with polenta. To finish off, of course tiramisu and crème brûlée had to be ordered. Delicious desserts! Tiramisu is exceptional here. The balance of espresso and sweetness from the custard was well prepared.

Yelp
We've been going to Vivace for. any years and have never been disappointed. Last night was no exception. We were a party of 4 and everything was delicious from the two caesar salads, eggplant lasagna, scallops with pasta, seafood soup, branzino (special) and two deserts; calling it bread pudding doesn't do it justice and the creme bulee. We were particularly fortunate to have Elise as our server; great sense of humor that matched the table, knew the menu inside out, made excellent recommendations and was on top of all our needs and requests the whole night.
