Rosy's Taco Bar East

Stopped in for margaritas, chips, guacamole, and salsa. I was not disappointed. You can tell everything is made from scratch. The chips are thick and don't break when scooping up the delicious guacamole and fantastic salsa! If i could buy jars of their salsa I would.

Came here with my son last night and had a great experience. I'd been to the Rosy's at 23rd & Walnut and loved the food there and thought it would be a fun dinner for us to check out their location in the old Creperie Beau Monde space. The food was as good as I expected it to be (the carnitas tacos and kid's cheese quesadilla didn't stand a chance), but what was even more delightful was the service, and especially how kid-friendly the spot was. When we arrived we were given a kids menu with crayons, already a welcome surprise because I didn't realize they actually had a kid's menu, but when we opened the crayons we realized they were hexagonal, as in they wouldn't roll off the table! Super bonus points for that. (They live in our house now.) On our trip to the bathroom before leaving we saw that they had a changing table in there, bonus points again, and I noticed highchairs available as well. As a parent these accommodations that make it easy to take my son out to dinner in the city make me really happy to see. Awesome job, Rosy's.

I can only rate it on takeout. My friends and I ordered it, said it would take 20 minutes and it was correct. They packed it up nicely, ensured it was all balanced and made sure there were enough sauces. Truly all the tacos were delicious, cannot pick a favorite, different tastes and flavors 😋 I believe we got the Al Pastor, Pollo Tinga, Carnitas, Shrimp and Chorizo! We'll definitely have to actually dine in amd try out the rest of the menu plus happy hour!

Our dinner at Rosy's was a 5-star treat for all our senses. It's our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Philly. We had their quesadillas, shrimp and pork tacos plus churros for dessert. Their tortillas are the best! Light and crispy with a hint of sweetness. The service was friendly, attentive and fast. The portions were the perfect size to devour everything without feeling too full. I enjoyed my Mexican Coke, but there's a full bar and hightop bar table area. It looks like they kept the historic goldleaf floral-painted walls, fireplace, funky wood seating and tin ceiling from the previous restaurant. They have space for upstairs and outdoor seating in season. The prices were reasonable for what we enjoyed. We wish them success in their second location. Our only request would be to add some vegan items so our friend can join us next time.

I love to go to Rosy’s for really good tacos. The quality of the ingredients is on a different level - fresh and tasty every single time. I am vegetarian so I usually order the mushroom tacos, but they also have other vegetarian options like burritos, enchiladas or smaller plates. If you like sodas don’t forget to order the Mexican coca cola which comes in a glass bottle and tastes so much better than the one from the fountain. I highly recommend this place!

I was craving a taco and finally got a chance to try Rosy's tacos. We were seated quickly and ordered our drinks. The decor is festive and cool. We ordered chips+guac, the al pastor tacos and plantains. The chips were so tasty and the guac was fresh, smooth with perfect amount of acidity. My Al Pastor tacos were smaller than I anticipated, but flavorful. I ordered the plantains plain, they come with creme fresh. They didn't get it right but our waitress quickly rectified the order. The person I was with ordered a burrito no cheese and cheese was added and since it's melted cheese there was no way around it. Otherwise we had a great visit.

We went on Taco Tuesday during happy hour. It was so good and everything tasted great. It was like if you felt happy then doubling that feeling! Stop by Rosy’s! The staff is great. The food is great. The price is great! Enjoy!

Came here on Taco Tuesday for $1 tacos and got the vegetarian tacos & guac. The veggie tacos were great and the guac tasted fresh!

1000% found my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Philly! @rosyseasttacobar is truly amazing Came here for a bestie night on a cold Friday night and was immediately warmed up by the relaxing vibe at Rosy's! The ambiance was fun and laid back. The service was amazing! All the staff were so helpful and wonderful. First off our drinks were fantastic! I ordered a classic margarita but with vodka of course. (I'm sorry tequila lovers but I just can't) It was made to order & delish! For our appetizers we ordered the nachos and the esquites. Both were very tasty! I really enjoyed the homemade tortilla chips and guacamole. Both were fantastic! The esquites were awesome as well and the sauce had a smokier flavor to it. For entrees we ordered the shrimp fajitas, fish tacos and Al pastor tacos. All were incredible! 11/10 would recommend any of these dishes. The shrimp fajitas and al pastor tacos being my favorites! So so good!! I cannot wait to come back and try more menu items very soon !! Try this spot out and let me know what you think! ‍

Delicious! Affordable! Friendly! We came for happy hour and got really good beer and margs plus a bunch of food. I recommend the Conshocken Blood Money. The portions are small for happy hour but easy to share. The tinga tacos were so cute and delicious, they came on what I assume are street taco shells? With radish, pico, and crema. The nachos I've had at the other Rosy's location so I knew they'd be bomb, the best melty cheese and jalapeños. I had to giggle at the quesadilla because it was taco sized but the shrimp was sooo yummy, definitely worth it. Our server Maddie was great and super patient with us while we were trying to figure out what to get.

Being from Los Angeles and having 50% Mexican blood flowing through my veins being pumped at an idyllic blood pressure of 120/80, my expectations for Mexican food on the east coast have become astronomically low. Time and time again I have been let down, so when the homie recommended this place for a Sunday night dinner I internally thought "how much can one man take..." but the hopeless optimist in me agreed to try once again. Walking into Rosy's it was dead quiet, with the staff outnumbering the customers. But, something magical happened. I actually caught a glimmer of an authentic Mexican vibe. Too many Mexican spots out here go ALL OUT Mexican themed to the point where it's clearly a knock off of somesort. After settling in, I confirmed it to be true. Rosy's interior has an authentic Mexican feel, I honestly felt like I was back home and it made me a little homesick. Damn I miss my mom and abuelita now..... We sat down and ordered chips and guac and some drinks to start. At $15 the chips and guac hurt the pockets, but fed the soul. The chips were fantastic, and the chip quality can make or break a Mexican restaurant don't let the mainstream media tell you otherwise. We got the fish and bistec tacos, and I was praying to the good lord Jesus Christ that they didn't have lettuce and that shredded cheddar cheese on them as so many Mexican places do on the east coast. To the delight of the eternal optimist in me, these tacos were properly garnished and SMACKED. They were the first tacos on the east coast that reminded me of my abuelitas. Were they as good? Stopped in here for a late night meal. They have several tequila drinks on the menu - - I thoroughly enjoyed my hibiscus margarita. Our server was helpful and friendly - - they had no problem working with my dietary restrictions and helped with modifications. For food, I decided on the chorizo tacos (hold the dairy - add avocado) and they were filling, delicious and just the right amount of messy.

Good takeout burrito. Inside looked pretty cool as well, so I'm excited to go back and eat-in sometime soon!

Their IG continually advertises $3 taco trios for Taco Tuesday so we went in. But unbeknownst to us, it only includes 3 of the 5 types on the menu. When we got our bill we were shocked to see it was over $90. Turns out they forgot to give us the happy hour menu which states which tacos are included (apparently not the ones we kept ordering...they are small). Waitress never said anything. And when we complained after seeing the bill, she said "yeah this happens a lot- they don't seat ppl with the happy hour menu, just the regular one." If it keeps happening despite complaints, feels like an intentional bait & switch. Really disappointing.

So happy this place came to my neighborhood. The food is excellent, the staff are so friendly, and they are just so accommodating. The inside is so quaint and cute and the outside, when weather-appropriate, is perfect. I am so glad a decent place came into this vacant spot. They have been so accommodating with my cilantro issue (it tastes like soap) and have made sure, every time, that nothing comes with it. There is a great selection of both vegetarian and meat options. Try the crab tostadas! They are amazing. Also, you 100% can't go wrong with mushroom as your protein. These are truly some of the most delicious mushrooms I've ever had. I'm not sure what kind they are but as a mushroom-lover - I opt for them every time. Mushroom tacos? Check. Mushroom quesadilla? Check. Oh, and their happy hour is such a steal! I will definitely be back (again and again and again).

Loved the interior, very cozy but classy. I do wish there was more light- there's ambience and then there's inconvenience. I came here with a bigger group and we ordered appetizers to share. The chips here are so good, thick with a satisfying crunch. The nachos were also a pleasant surprise. The guac tasted fresh. I had the carnitas and it was filled to the brim with flavorful meat. The service was a bit lacking, as it took us multiple tries to get our server's attention.

So glad Rosy's has a location East of broad street now! The food was great (definitely get the nachos) and drinks were delicious too. Selena, our server, was very attentive, especially on what could be a chaotic night (grand opening). Can't wait to go back! Welcome to queen village!

I was taking a friend, my adult daughter and 6 of her friends out for dinner. Since that's a lot of people to pay for, I wanted a place that was affordable. I walked by the sign for Taco Tuesday at Rosy's where the was a dollar a taco or $3 for $3 dollars. I walked I. And asked if the taco Tuesday special included all the tacos, including shrimp and fish (I'm a pescatarian) and the person who worked there said that they were all included in Taco Tuesday. However, when the 9 of us were seated, we were told that taco Tuesday only included 3 types of tacos - chicken, some other meat and mushroom- and on top of that you had to order only the same type of taco if you wanted 3. Also on the downside, the place was very noisy so it was hard to talk. On the plus side, the food was tasty and the $5 margaritas (only the house kind) were good, the decor is cute and our server was funny.

Happy hour menu - drinks were good I got the house margarita with tajin. We got the chicken tinga tacos, pork tacos, and nachos they were all varying levels of underwhelming. They do put squeeze bottles of salsa on the table so you can flavor your own food, thankfully! Plates and drinks are all 5$ each, worth the gamble I guess Service was great!

We ordered from here about a week ago. Was it good? Yes. BUT... the tacos were tiiiiny. (Pic for reference) The cod taco barely had any cod and felt a bit like I was eating salad and spicy mayo in a tortilla. The shrimp taco was pretty good, I must say, especially since the shrimp was perfectly grilled. The bistec taco was pretty tasty, as was the mushroom taco. Overall, pretty good but not very filling unless you're willing to order,and spend, more than usual for tacos.

Rosy's East hosted an afterparty for us in their upstairs section and it was perfect! The event planning team was responsive and helpful from our first email through the day-of. The night-of staff was on their game and was able to handle our (rowdy) group of 40 with ease. All our guests loved the food, especially the churros and carnitas, drinks, and energy in the space. Thank you Rosy's for being so great to work with and making our night so special!

Like Johnny N., I am from Los Angeles, but I have 0% Mexican Blood. I came in with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. We had fish and carnitas tacos and both were quite good. I too appreciate that they don't go over the top trying to make it look like a Mexican restaurant, thus no Corona Beer signs or Sombreros on the walls. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Portions generous and prices fair. Only complaint was that we went during happy hour, but it wasn't made clear what the happy hour specials, if any, were. So our check did not reflect any happy hour discounts. Oh, and they didn't have any non-alcoholic beers. Will go back.

Stopped at Rosy's after the big snow storm for late night snacks! It's really pretty inside, nice ambiance and super cute decorations. The food was pretty good, I wasn't wowed by anything but it was definitely not bad. Service was awesome and much appreciated. Overall, a nice place for some late night food and drinks.

I liked this place. It's very busy at happy hour but it's spacious and the food is decent.

I did quesadilla and taco pick-up! Terrible chicken! I do not think they know what quesadilla is or mixed up my order. Anyway, not coming back. Learn the expensive lesson, no thanks.

Was extremely disappointed. Despite available tables we were told we had to wait an hour for a reservation. Tried to sit 6 people at 3 separate 2 tops. We eventually persuaded them to seat us at one of the 2 available 6+ tables. Server was nice but we waited forever for our drinks. They finally came out about the same time our food came out. Portions were tiny and ultimately the bill was expensive. Won't be back.

Nice addition to the neighborhood. Tasty nachos and tacos, margaritas were pretty good too. Service was A+ awesome!

Super friendly new place, very nice server. Unfortunately, the food was way too spicy. I am from California and grew up on Mexican food. I eat Mexican food all the time and just about never encounter this problem. The basic ingredients need better marinades and the salsas need way less heat. Our classic margaritas had a nice mix but had zero tequila. I hope it was just a one-time accident. I will be back in a month hoping for much better results!!

The food is decent, the drinks are good, the atmosphere is nice. Even though I do really like the Rittenhouse location because it is open very late and has tons of seating, I like this location better than the Rittenhouse one because you can actually have a conversation here - it is not too loud at all. Very good service.
