MyBanLao Hotel

From the moment we got there, we were treated exceptionally. We had a a warm welcome into a beautifully colonial-inspired building with lots history but you wouldn’t know it from its modern feel. The grounds are incredibly well kept and the staff smile and greet you on every occasion. We were upgraded to a pool access room, which was spacious, extremely comfortable and decorated to the highest standard. It had an insta-worthy feel and gorgeous bathroom with a pool terrace just outside the room. The shuttle service was well used and the e breakfast of a high standard, especially the eggs station! I was on crutches when we visited and each and every one of the staff made sure that our time there was without any problems and very enjoyable, bending over backwards to help in any way they could. I am extremely grateful for the staff and the beauty of the place, making for a truly relaxing experience. We will 100% be back! Also, thank you to Ricki - the most caring Customer Liaison Rep - for arranging the floating breakfast; we will definitely be using her services to book tours etc. when we return.

From the welcome drink at arrival to the little bag with cookies at the departure, the MyBanLao was truly an ambassador of great Lao hospitality.||The hotel complex is built with several two story villas in a neo colonial style. The hotel has a super interesting history. It used to be the residence of a Lao General during the Vietnam War era. The complex is surrounded by lush green gardens and a big pool in the middle. The rooms are super clean, spacious and offer all the amenities you expect from a luxury hotel.||Best of all is the highly attentative staff, helping with all the needs a guest might have.||Here are some notes on the great services the hotel offers:||Shuttle service|We were picked up from and brought to the airport by an electric mini van - free of charge. They also bring you to the night market (20 min walk) and pick you up. I simply dropped a WhatsApp message and we got picked up 10 minutes later.||Room service|We ordered food from the in-room dining. A lao soup and a Luang Prabang salad. Both fresh, delicious and served quickly.||Spa|We received a top notch Lao/Thai massage at the spa. Again the staff and the therapists were super attentative and with 60 min/20 USD the price was pretty fair, too.||Electric car|We rented a Mini-EV to go to Kuangsi Waterfalls. When checking-in we received a discount coupon so we paid 32 USD for a whole day. It was absolutely worth it. Much more comfy than a motorbike and with A/C.||Café 1960|The Café belongs to the Hotel and has delicious Lao coffee and french influenced sweet treats. A delicious treat!||Another tip: we twice used Loy Laundry around the corner. They did a good job and delivered the folded cloth to our hotel.||Next visit at Luang Prabang, our hotel will definitely be the MyBanLao again.

I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly welcomed—the staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. I loved MyBanLao. The experience was great even with a big group, they were very accommodating. The free shuttles made everything so much easier, we used them daily. The pool was incredible, so much fun and we swim a lot so that was important. They also provided a free mini bar which was a nice touch. I definitely recommend getting a massage if you have the opportunity as well.

I stayed in one of the pool access rooms, which was not only spacious and well-designed but also made it convenient to enjoy a refreshing swim anytime.||One of the highlights for me was the thoughtful in-room features — especially the centralized electronic controls, which made managing the lights and temperature effortless. I also appreciated the high-quality hairdryer, which was a nice touch and added to the luxurious feel of the stay.||The hotel goes above and beyond when it comes to service. They offer complimentary transportation to both the train station and the night market, which made getting around so much easier and stress-free.||I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and convenient place to stay in Luang Prabang.

From our pickup from the airport and all throughout our stay it was excellent. The friendly service, the beautiful hotel and grounds and food all were outstanding. One of the most helpful services was the free shuttle which we used all the time. They dropped you off into town then when you were ready you just sent a message to the hotel and they picked you up within 5-10 minutes. We also thoroughly enjoyed our massages at the spa as well . We also found the front desk helpful and Tar in particular gave us some handy hints for our day trips

A very enjoyable stay. Really good food, the swimming pool is next level with a bar, some rooms have direct access to the pool. Helpful staff, and we will definitely return. Options include tours to the watefall and elephant sanctuary. There are daily free drop offs to the city centre and markets. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Super hotel! Only 10 minutes from the night market and all that Luang Prabang has to offer. The room was spacious with free coffee, tea and minibar. The service was excellent, we did not eat at the hotel but the restaurant looked lovely. Free pick up and drop off to the airport was very convenient. Thank you!
