This restaurant, Q1227, was recommended by my Niece. It was a little difficult to find and get to from the street, as there were no signs on the outer buildings. We had to either valet or park in the garage, because the restaurant, Q1227, was inside the promenade area. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and well lit. They accommodated our party of 9. The service was very slow, but the food was EXCEPTIONAL!! We started with the garlic cheese bread, which was phenomenal!! Other items that we ordered were the lobster bites, gumbo, mac and cheese and spicey chicken pasta. Everyone said that their food was delicious. If you are ever in Roseville, this is a great place for a date night. Very upscale.

Excellent service and atmosphere. Food was very good. Particularly liked the lamb chops. For dessert the carrot cake is excellent, but thought the bread pudding was just ok.

I thought most of the food we ordered was pretty good. One my brothers didn't like the oax tail ravioli I believe . They do not serve hard alcohol but they had a good beer and wine selection. The tomahawk pork was good. Ill go back to try another dish.

We came to Q1227 in Roseville for my grandmother’s birthday, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was excellent—our server was prompt, knowledgeable, and made great menu recommendations. Food and drinks came out quickly, and those in our group who were drinking really enjoyed the wine selection. I had the coconut curry mussels, which were rich and flavorful, almost like a Japanese curry. The roasted carrots were perfectly seasoned and added a nice contrast to the rest of the meal. My favorite dish of the night was the scallop and crab cake entrée—the scallops were cooked to perfection. Overall, Q1227 delivered a great dining experience and is a perfect spot for a special occasion or large group. Highly recommended!

Oh my goodness! The food was so good! The lobster bites were to kill for!! I have been wanting to try this place for a while now I am so happy I went for date night. The fried chicken was to die for and some of the best greens and mashed potatoes I have ever tasted! we did find out from our server that the owner was cooking! I will say that the Jambalaya was good but not the best but everything was good. One heads up, I will give though is they charge for gratuity no matter what it doesn’t matter the party size. The food was so good and the service was good that I don’t even care. I will be back!

OMG! The food was Amazing 😋 Jeffrey, our waiter was very kind and knowledgeable on what to order. The atmosphere and the decor is impeccable. Five Stars all around.

Went in for an anniversary dinner with our twin 8 yo and we had such a great time! FOOD: Everything we ate was delicious 😋 would definitely come back for their seafood dishes next time! My favorite were the artichoke beignets and the crunchy, sweet, salty fried chicken. SERVICE: Our server was Luis, he was impeccable with customer service. Always refilled our waters, gave me a little stool for my purse, delivered some food requests I had and overall made our dining experience very pleasant. ATMOSPHERE: Looove the ambience of this restaurant. It was a little packed when we were about to leave but not too noisy and crazy.

Yelp
My wife and I dined for an ever elusive date night. Walked in and there was a wait for a table (naturally it' was a friday night) but no biggie the bar had a a lot of available seating. We snagged a seat by the live sax player which was a huge bonus and set the tone. We were greeted with great hospitality by our bartender (Jeffrey I believe was his name) and he gave us great recommendations. Lots of great comfort food options to select from, but we decided to share all of the above (lobster bites, fried chicken, brussels sprouts, and mac and cheese) everything was phenomenal and very shareable. You can feel this place is operated with passion and care. We were checked on consistently. I don't usually leave reviews. However I felt I had too considering I walked away telling my wife.. "Im pretty sure this is my new favorite restaurant."

Yelp
Black owned restaurants! We went out to Q1227 restaurant in Roseville last night and had a great time we had a party of 12 we were seated quickly and our server Eric while our waters and drinks as well as appetizers immediately. I started off with the oxtail appetizer the lobster bites brussels sprouts . we also tried the garlic cheese bread sitting in olive oil for my main course. I had the apple spinach, arugula salad with walnuts. It was delicious. My wife had the southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes with the gravy on the side and my daughter had the salmon everyone enjoyed their meal. Some in our group had the gumbo Sam had to jump a aliyah overall, everyone was very pleased not only with the food, but the ambience in the service were excellent as well.. We even had a nice dessert that we shared. I would highly recommend Q 1227.

Yelp
So there's a lot of hype but it was just mediocre to me. If you're rich or catering then I guess you get a different type of service. So let me start with the service being rushed from the gate. The menu pages need replacing because the pages were either torn, printed letter missing or had food stains on them. The dessert menus were just as bad and were thrown to us like playing cards which in essence said get your a** out you've been here too long! Now the food. I am plant based but if you mess up veggies I have a problem especially with cost, tax & tip $65. And I tipped less than I normally would. I ordered the spinach & arugula salad w/ very few cranberries or spiced pecans but plenty of greens which was fine but could've been more garnishes. I had Brussels sprouts that were like a salt lick which means to me that they are either old or if you change a dish they don't know how to change the seasoning. I had the roasted carrots which arrived cold, I sent them back they were reheated using the nuker & came back mushy. I ordered hot tea since I was the driver. I wasn't offered a spoon or sweetener of any type. One of my table mates ordered the oxtail which had more juice & pasta versus meat. It was not balanced at all. My mom ordered the short rib served with mashed potatoes. The meat was fork tender. She said it was good but not worth coming back for. She also ordered the cheese bread which was the best part for her. My other friend ordered the fried chicken served with mashed potatoes. She said the chicken was good and well seasoned. Jazz musician playing beautifully was so nice! Worth a 1h 45m ride? Not for me. I will not be back. For the effort it took to get there & for what was given it was not worth it. But you can try it for yourself. You might say I'm critical but here's the thing they are professional chefs and I am a home cook. My mother, grandmother & aunt were excellent cooks. I know good food. I want good execution when I dine out. I just didn't get that last night.

Yelp
My husband and I were celebrating our Silver, 25th wedding anniversary. We talked about trying Q1227, so this was the perfect occasion to go. I booked a reservation about a month in advance. We were so excited. The lighting was soft and intimate. We were seated immediately and allowed time to look over the menu. Our server Desiree, asked for our drink order. We couldn't decide between two reds. But wanted something semi sweet. Desiree brought us samples of the two and we selected the bottle of Red Conundrum. We ordered the Coconut Curry Mussels as a starter to share and paired it with a bowl of saffron rice as Desiree suggested. The flavors were explosive! The mussels floated in a beautiful sea of rich and creamy yellow curry, while the rice absorbed the extra sauce. My husband selected the Braised Prime Short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and sweet carrot puree. And I chose the Lobster Roll with Caviar. We shared it all! The braise short rib was so tender and juicy, I thoroughly enjoyed the sweet carrot puree. Initially, I thought it was sweet potatoes. And the garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and made with skin on red potatoes. The lobster roll came in two pieces. The lobster was sweet and the caviar gave the perfect amount of saltiness to balance the dish. My taste buds dance with every bit. The food portions were generous. We couldn't finish everything. And I still had the nerve to order the Bourbon St. Bread Pudding for dessert. We got it to-go. But I gobbled a few bites before I put the leftovers away. Desiree was attentive, and met all our needs. She was personable and indulged us with friendly conversation. And onto it all off, we were present with a complimentary Q's Brownie, adorned with a chocolate coin the read "Happy Anniversary." It was an unforgettable anniversary dinner. There are quite a few menu options we want to try. We'll be back to dig in again, soon.

Yelp
I'll start off this review with kudos to the staff. They were kind and attentive. The restaurant ambiance is pretty. It looks like a nice romantic spot with lots of tables and booths, a large bar area, and has a few slightly more private looking areas with curtains separating some tables in the back. That's fun!! They did seem to have a celebration table decoration depending what you are celebrating.. that they set on the table to let the server know you are there celebrating something. Now the food - so the beignet artichokes were good. The sauce on the plate was delicious, I just wish it had been warm and I wouldn't consider it a beignet. I wouldn't order the bone marrow again. There was too much going on with it but not enough bone marrow. It seemed like they just drenched it in truffle oil and mushrooms and a few potato chips on top. How are we supposed to know what bone marrow tastes like? The lobster rolls- the inside is good. There's just not enough. For the price, the pieces of lobster should be spilling out. The caviar is like a sniff of caviar. There could be more for the price... The prime pepper steak filet was delicious along with the cognac cream on the side. The roasted lobster tail was good as well. The seared Atlantic salmon was absolutely delicious! We took half of the salmon home and air fried it the next day and it was absolutely delicious again! For desserts.. I recommend the crème brûlée. The only bad part was the partly unripe strawberries. The millionaires cheesecake is not worth the calories, even though it was recommended to us as "the best dessert." It was too thick for us and not a normal cheesecake type flavor. So if you're thinking it's a traditional cheesecake, it's not. Think mostly caramel and chocolate. We also got a brownie to go and our kids devoured it- so it must have been good. I did receive a birthday dessert from the kitchen. It was a Bundt style cake - might have been lemon or key lime, not sure as we weren't told but it was slightly stale tasting but I thought it was good and a fun gesture to make someone feel a bit special on their day. I'd go back here again for the steaks, lobster and salmon... and that's saying something because I don't really care for salmon. This makes me change my mind!! Annnnd the crème brûlée. As long as they use completely fresh fruit. (It's located right by smash burger and the play structure at the mall.)

Yelp
I heard about this restaurant four years ago, and we finally were able to go as a family! I was very excited for a new experience and Chef Q did not disappoint! The interior of the new location is stunning, the service was prompt and friendly, and the food was spectacular. The cocktail and wine menus were pretty limited. They recently got their liquor license so making cocktails is new to the team. We found both a cocktail and a glass of wine we enjoyed with our meal but if you are a big wine, lover, note that the menu is quite limited for a restaurant like this.

Yelp
Went here a while back with another couple and I have to say I was impressed. The atmosphere was spot on. The server did a great job explaining many different items on the menu. We had a great dinner and the desert was great as well. I'd definitely recomend this spot

Yelp
I have reviewed Q1227's regular dinner and brunch, and now it is time to review the Chef's Table. To reserve, there is a page on their website to enter your information, and someone will get back to you to finalize your reservation. You get to sit at the table closest to the kitchen, and I was lucky enough to sit in the seat directly facing the kitchen, so I got to watch Chef Q finalize the preparations of each of our courses. As the website says, the meals are unique to the night. There was clearly a seasonal aspect to our dishes, but we had no idea what we would be eating until we arrived and saw our menus. By the way, the menus are customizable to a certain extent on how you title them. Everything was delicious, although the servings were large (especially for a 6-course meal), so most in our group took dessert home (and it tasted delicious the next day). I ate foods I would never normally eat. I do not like mushrooms generally speaking, but I trust Chef Q so I gave them a try in the dishes they were in, and actually enjoyed them! I also do not like vinaigrette, but the one used in the salad (plus the amount used) worked well with all the flavors, and it wasn't bad at all (I ate the whole thing). This is a fun way to celebrate a special occasion, and just like everything else at Q1227, I highly recommend giving this a try.

Yelp
To celebrate our 2 year anniversary my husband and I decided to try out Q1227. Beautiful restaurant, pleasant and kind staff, and plenty of seating options. Located outside the galleria near the kids playground also makes it convenient to stop off for a quick bite after a days worth of shopping. They're known for their modern comfort food. I can attest to their food indeed being comforting given how full I was from our delicious meal. We started off with Beef & Bleu and Gumbo Soup. Excellent starters! I love bleu cheese but I will admit some of the crumbles were a bit much with this dish so it isn't for everyone. The beef however were scrumptious bits of tender goodness. Gumbo was very flavorful and not salty like a lot of other spots we've tried. Def would get these again. For dinner I got the Southern Fried Chicken. 12/10! Seasoned well, amazing crunch, and potatoes were interesting tasty. Found out it's because they add cheese! FYI to my lactose intolerant folks, lol. Hubby got their Chef Q's Jambalaya. Killed it! Portion of seafood and sausage were plentiful. The saffron rice had a different taste. Not bad but some may not be a fan due to the flavor. We were recommended with the Carrot Cake or Bourbon St. Bread Pudding. Went with bread pudding because hello? It has the name BOURBON STREET in it so we had to stick with the southern theme. Bourbon cream sauce was delectable! Bread pudding honestly was not my favorite due to texture. This is just me and I'm glad I tried anyway. Due to our anniversary we wanted to get drinks. Our server, Francis, told us they didn't carry liquor. This was a bummer hence the drop in star. We're not huge wine fans which they are a very wine forward restaurant here. I did get the Red Sangria. Better than expected yet I don't think I'd get again. Our overall experience was wonderful. We even got to meet the chef and he congratulated us on our anniversary! We would absolutely come here again as I'd love to try their Beef Short Rib dish and Carrot Cake.

Yelp
Updating my experience as we've come to Q1227 several times now. This restaurant is an experience. Every dish feels like it was make special, served hot and well seasoned. That is how restaurant food SHOULD be - all other restaurant owners take note! The restaurant was clean and the ambiance is lovely. The sourdough garlic bread is fantastic but opt for the balsamic on the side so the bottom doesn't get too soggy! Lobster bites are a MUST and try the brunch! Way less busy and a delicious start to the weekend! Highly recommend for a special occasion or just because and book a reso ahead of time so you can guarantee yourself a seat! Enjoy!

Yelp
Damn! Really was hoping new location got it down by now. Tried brunch today. The service was good but very slow. We tried the white sangria that had so much ice it just tasted like water down white wine. We were able to switch it for a regular pinto gris. Then we tried the crab cake eggs Benedict. The egg was basically hard boiled. We told our waiter and he said oh yeah it should be runny do you want a new one. But after waiting so long we just said no thanks. He didn't take anything off or discount which I think is weird because it's literally eggs bending without an egg lol Chicken in waffles wasn't hot and one piece of Chicken was like paper thin and so so salty. We decided we won't be back. Sad because this used to be our favorite places.

Yelp
The service was excellent! Our server Brian was extremely attentive, friendly, and he was able to accommodate my nutrition requests which I truly appreciated. The salmon was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
My first time here and overall it was a great experience. The atmosphere was really relaxing and chill, especially once the saxophonist began to play. I suggest reservations before you get there, because it is popular. The service was decent. The food...with a party of 5, everyone shared that their food was delicious. The appetizers were delicious. My only disappointment was that my Shrimp and Grits was 1/2 and 1/2...the shrimp was delicious, well seasoned and spicy, however the "grits" was cream of wheat or something else and definitely not grits. I'm a Southern Belle and know the texture of grits. With that said, if the menu would've said Shrimp and Cream of Wheat, I would have ordered something else. Again, overall a wonderful experience. I will definitely give them another chance.

Yelp
Had to stop in at their new location and my have they got a very nice place! The ambiance is is amazing and so relaxing. Very eye appealing. We had the pleasure of having JACOB for our server today and he was so nice! Very attentive and gave great advice on on the food items. The lobster bites were amazing! I tried my best to go with a dinner selection other than what I usually get which is the southern fried chicken but I couldn't help myself. My boyfriend ordered the NEW York steak which was amazing! I really liked the mac and cheese as well. My first time trying that and I was impressed. Will be stopping by again very soon. The service here is always amazing.

Yelp
We had a great experience tonight! The restaurant looks hip when you enter, and the chairs are super comfy! Our server was great and everyone we spoke to was super friendly! We got there within the last hour of closing and they didn't make us feel rushed at all, and our food was delicious. We enjoyed the bone marrow with beef tartar, roasted foraged mushrooms and chips on top, the pork belly confit with fennel apple salad, and the southern fried chicken with gravy and mash. The marrow was different but really tasty! The pork belly confit was amazing but I was really impressed with the balanced fennel apple slaw. The fried chicken was really good too, not overly spicy but again, another well balanced dish. Also I don't typically care for gravy, but this was lighter on salt and bigger on flavor which I appreciated. The chicken could have gone maybe a min less as it was getting to the point of being over, but overall always still really good and we ate it all! The crème brulee finished off our dinner, it was very creamy, more like a petite pot pudding, less bouncy, very vanilla and flavorful. We look forward to returning and trying out a chefs table experience in the future!

Yelp
On 12/13/2025 we came in to celebrate my gf's bday. They did absolutely nothing, they gave my gf and I a table decor that show it was a bday table. No recognition, no acknowledgment, food was not good, server suck even more. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. We had to ask someone else where was our server 3 times in an 1 hour period to get our order in, ridiculous! To put the cherry on top, they charge an automatic 18% gratuity for one of the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. A hole in a wall taco spot have better service and food

Yelp
One thing about Q1227 is there will always be exceptional service from the moment you open the door, get seated and exit the restaurant. There were 3 of us in my party and the service couldn't have been any better. This was our first time at the new location and of course it exceeded our expectations. For starters we ordered the Garlic Cheese Loaf & my goodness... the texture and warm of the bread was perfect, along with the cheese & mixture of balsamic gave it that blend of flavors. They also gave us complimentary Artichoke Beignets, those were surprisingly delicious and light in texture once you passed that initial crunch. Now for the Chicken Fried Lobster bites... a MUST ORDER, every time we have dined at the previous location. The flavor and texture are amazingly matched, not greasy or overly cooked whatsoever. The seasoning used for the lobster is my personal favorite. Lastly, for my entree I went with ol reliable which is the Southern Fried Chicken. As you can see, a very generous portion on the chicken which was so juicy and not a hint of dry. My favorite are the mash potatoes, always very creamy and delicious to the point where I don't need to use much gravy. Overall we were all very happy and satisfied with the entire meal from start to finish. Our server was kind and attentive, water cup was never low! I genuinely love when service is that great. I hope to come back on a special occasion in the near future.

Yelp
5 stars!! Our first time here. Food was excellent from the garlic cheese loaf to the collard greens, Mac n cheese, gumbo, to the wagyu burger, truffle fries and I can't recall the name to the beef with rectangular au gratin... to the unforgettable branzini/whole fish (I prefer the whole fish over filllet.) Delicious, exquisite and on point. Excellent food, staffs and atmosphere. Unfortunately, Chef Q wasn't there. The young man who attended to us was super friendly, attentive and excellent customer service, the person at the front door accepting us to the other 3 staffs who brought the food. It was my birthday/My other half brought us here/party of 3, June 16th, 5.30pm reservation for my birthday dinner. He said he did mentioned during reservation it was my birthday- no one seems to "remember" to at least wish me. It would have been nice. Nonetheless, go here you'll like the atmosphere and food!

Yelp
Birthday Dinner [Roseville CA] This was our first time dining since their move to the new location at the promenade in the Roseville Galleria Mall. I had a birthday dinner here. Hubby made reservation for two, we arrived a little early and we were seated promptly. We ordered the Roasted Bone Marrow as appetizer. Delicious creamy texture and served with bread it was very good. I ordered the Berkshire "Tomahawk" Pork Chop while hubby chose Braised Prime Shortrib. To me the pork chop was a bit bland but with the maple glaze it brought the meat to life. The spinach was good. I guess my hubby noted that we were celebrating a birthday when he made the reservation... when I was given the complimentary dessert w/ a lit candle it said HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. Our waiter knowingly knew it was a birthday celebration because he said so then said we can celebrate our anniversary too.. our anniversary is in December. Well, that created a less memorable experience. There was live music entertainment which I enjoyed the tunes played on a soprano saxophone. Ambiance was a bit on the loud side. This new location at the Galleria Mall is much more spacious and elegant. 3.5 Stars Review #2675 updated

Yelp
I was generous with the stars. It should be a 3 considering it's supposed to be a fine dining restaurant. I'm being thoughtful because it's a Christian and Black owned restaurant. The service and overcooked OMLETTE is what makes it 3 stars. Food was okay. The potatoes were greasy and lacked flavor and over soft. OMLETTE was over cooked. Mushrooms were not cut smaller, super large chunks. The hot sauce was runny and tasted like vinegar without any spice. The chicken in the omelette had a good flavor. We had to ask for syrup and butter after ordering 3 plates of chicken and waffles ( plus 1 more to go, making 4. She didn't catch the order correctly the first time. They add gratuity of 18 percent for 4 people only. Which is less than what I would've tipped but not cool when the service is subpar. I'm glad it's being split. They don't box your food for you but ask prospective employees to have fine dining experience. I don't understand what was fine about the dining experience. The server didn't come and check on us, didn't ask if we liked the food, nothing. I've gotten better service in other places. The host didn't smile and greet. No, thank you for coming in--nothing. So it didn't feel like a local spot or fine dining. I was underwhelmed by the experience considering I spent 163.00 all together. This doesn't include that it's not easy to access since it's in the mall.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Ambiance was a 10!!! Service was exceptional. We had reservations for 8pm but they were able to seat us sooner. She was so nice about it too. I thought we'd have to wait. Our waitress was very kind and prompt. The rest of the wait staff was amazing as well. I saw the Chef walking around greeting guests and taking photos with them. We started with the garlic bread and prawn. The garlic bread was cheesy and so well seasoned. It sits in balsamic vinegar and evoo. Trust me, it works. The river prawn was butterflied and grilled. Served with grilled lemon and clarified butter!! 10/10 For our entrees we had the braised prime short ribs with mashed potatoes and a purée of orange vegetable goodness (idk what it was but it was ). The Kid had the Lamb Wellington. It had a mustard sauce on the plate. She really enjoyed it. The ambience is also great! Saxophone player was sitting close to the bar area playing some great tunes. The lighting is perfect. If you're into sports, you can sit at the bar top and watch the nba finals. The only thing- which the waitress showed me after running the card- the tip is included for any size party- 18%. You can choose to leave more if you'd like. Overall, a 9/10

Yelp
This is my first time at their new location and it is absolutely stunning. We were greeted when we came in. We had reservations for brunch. We ordered short rib hash, crab cake benedict and lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes! Let me say the pancakes were the start of the show. All the rest of the food was good. But those pancakes were probably some of the best pancakes. I've had in a very long time! The restaurant has an open window to the kitchen so you can see the food being prepared. And the inside is absolutely gorgeous.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING!! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Jacob helped choose the best wine to accompany our dinner perfectly. The music and decor were very elegant, and festive for the holiday season.

Yelp
Visited Q1227 again last night to celebrate our son's birthday. While we love the great service to be completely honest, the appetizers and the dessert were the stars of the meal. It could be that we picked 3 entrees that weren't the most popular but they were a little disappointing and not Q's regular high standard.
google avatar

Ahris K.

Yelp
I don't say this lightly -- Q1227 served up one of the best burgers I've ever had. I ordered it well done, and to my surprise, it still came out super juicy and full of flavor, not dry or overcooked like many places tend to do. It was absolutely perfect. We also started with the lobster appetizer, and it was nothing short of amazing -- fresh, tender, and packed with flavor in every bite. You could tell real care went into the preparation. To top it all off, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, professional, and made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. I would recommend Q1227 to anyone looking for a top-notch meal. This place is a gem and definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
IG and recommendations from family had me wanting to try Q1227 for a while. It's a bit hidden in the Galleria promenade area in Roseville--Maps had a hard time pinpointing it, but after a bit of searching while window shopping, we found the outdoor entrance. Since it was connected to the mall, there's plenty of parking. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating, which was nice. We showed up a little early and they had no problem accommodating us. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and service was quick. We were seated in a more intimate, private table which had curtain like separators between the tables. The food? So good. Super flavorful and well-seasoned! The portions were big enough to share, which is always a plus. The garlic cheese loaf was really good, except for the pool of balsamic vinegar the loaf was swimming in. I would have rather had the option of dipping my bread squares on my own (maybe I'll request that for next time). The fried chicken was what I came for- The cutlets of chicken were thin and thoroughly breaded. They came out crispy and hot! The bed of mashed potatoes were creamy. I should have asked for more gravy on the side to dip my fried chicken! I also ordered a side of grits. At first taste, I thought it was a bowl of white gravy, but after a few more bites, the familiar taste of grits came out. We also ordered jambalaya, there was quite a variety of seafood in it. My husband didn't care much for the amount of onions and bell peppers. They're a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth checking out--looking forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu!!

Yelp
I was a little underwhelmed given the high compliments other people have told me about this restaurant. Overall it was good and I would come again if someone invited me, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again on my own. Our reservation for two people was at 6:00pm on a Saturday. Even though we arrived on time, we didn't get seated until about 6:15pm. Also, a party of four that arrived after us, got seated before us. I thought that was a little strange, especially since we were a smaller party. The hostess and our waiter were extremely nice though which I appreciated. Our waiter voluntarily let us know what their popular items are. The cheesy garlic bread and fried lobster bites were AMAZING! Those are a must-try. If I come back to this restaurant, I will definitely order those again. We also got the Brussels sprouts and Mac and Cheese. The Brussels sprouts were okay, but I've had better at other restaurants. Same with the Mac and Cheese. My husband got the meatloaf entree, but I didn't like it. It could be that I'm not a meatloaf person though. The ambiance was nice and I liked the live saxophone player. The employees stayed on top of filling up our water without us ever running out or needing to ask for more. I noticed the staff was very diverse which I liked. It took awhile for us to receive our check, but overall this was a nice dining experience.

Yelp
Wife and I anniversary so we decided for an early dinner. The Q1227 is very nice. Not a big place but not small. We didn't have reservations but they sat us right away. The restaurant is beautiful inside and very clean. Lighting was perfect and romantic. Food was great. We started with a Cheesy garlic bread which was good but had a ton of balsamic vinegar which isn't for everyone. Wife had the braised short rib and mash, it was good and very tender. I enjoyed the wagyu burger which was perfect! I gave this place 4 of 5 stars because the beer wasn't super cold and was just okay. It was also super stuffy inside like no ac running on a hot day. Overall i will come back.

Yelp
It has come to my attention that this place automatically charges 18% on diners as a tip. The manager said it was so to share with all the staff. A tip is not mandatory and to put it on a customers check is not only outrageous but morally wrong. Pay your staff don't take it out on the folks that keep you in business

Yelp
We dined at their old location about a dozen times now and love their food and staff. This is our first time to the new, Roseville Galleria location, and boy what a change they've made. They went from fancy and cozy, to chic, almost Vegas-like. It's absolutely beautiful inside. For our first visit to the new and freshly remodeled location, I decided on the Chef's Table Experience. This exclusive, off menu, culinary delight, gives the chefs a way to express their creativity and culinary skills. The Chef's Table is $229pp and located right in front of the kitchen's window. This gives you and guest(s) the best seat in the house to witness the "heart" of the restaurant's operation and success. The menu is Chef's choice, made with the freshest and most likely, local ingredients. This is what we had: Halibut and Scallop Crudo - citrus aguachile This was amazingly fresh and not fishy at all. My wife doesn't eat raw fish, so I had both portions of this after she tried a tiny piece. I guess the texture wasn't there for her, but I sure enjoyed it! Grilled Hearts of Romaine - parmigiano reggiano / balsamic vinaigrette / pine nuts This tasted great with the acidic balsamic, earthy pine nuts and char. Garlic Cheese Loaf - garlic / cheese / parsley / aged balsamic / chili flakes / evoo This is our simple GOTO item on the menu. We always have to have this, especially since Rio City Cafe closed down. Simple, yet wonderful and comforting. A must have to start your meal here. Black Linguine Truffle Pasta - white borchii truffle cream sauce This was simply amazing! Please add this to the regular menu. It was rich, creamy and tasted like a million bucks!! Surf and Turf - Durham Ranch American Wagyu Flat Iron Steak and Sweet Gulf Water Shrimp with Jonah Crab Claws This steak was melt in your mouth BUTTER! So tender, flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The shrimp was poached perfect and complimented will with the crab claws. You can't go wrong with this combination!! Opera Torte - almond / coffee buttercream / ganache This was layered with many textures from the bits of almonds. to the creamy ganache and buttercream to the crust. Almost sinful. This is a GEM! You can't go wrong with anyting on the menu. And this Chef's Table experience was an amazing experience. Being able to try Chef Q's creative offmenu items was definitely a night to remember. Make your reservation NOW!!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this restaurant since my friend always says how good it is. I did not realize that this location moved to the Roseville Galleria mall. I was expecting to go to their original location that was next to Uncle dumplings, which is where I originally saw it. We did a walk-in with no reservations and they pointed us to the bar seating which was fine. There was a saxophonist playing live music, which was a very nice touch. I very much appreciated. the music while eating. AEW wrestling was on at the bar, which was a nice change from basketball. The bar server was phenomenal. He is what made our experience great. He constantly gave honest opinions and explained why we might like one dish over another more, or why he would be more biased towards a dish. Bone marrow- not the best I've ever had, but very good still. Q1227 burger- pretty delicious burger. Thick and juicy. The fresh home made chips were delicious. Fried chicken and mash- pretty good as well. Very juicy. The mash was okay. Peach cobbler- it was the best peach cobbler I've ever had. I usually don't like hot pies, but I liked this one. I don't like pies with mushy fruit. The peaches still had a nice crunch.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Love the intimate setting with live music. Great service. But only beer and wine, which I understand. But I was hoping for at least some nice signature cocktails. Food was cooked to perfection but everything was overly salty and I love salty. Bone marrow was good but the toast didn't need to be buttered down either, too much. Same goes for the cheesy bread, balsamic needed to be on the side not bathed in it. The bread soaked that right up. The Mac and cheese, mash potatoes, broccolini, and salad were perfect to balance out the main dishes that was over seasoned. We had a big group so wanted to keep the appetizer, entree and side dishes different. I personally would've ordered differently if I had a smaller group or just on a date. So for that, I would like to come back and try other dishes. Not sure if it's worth the price. I personally don't think the flavor profile matches how well some items are cooked or presented it takes away from it. Or some dishes weren't as elevated as I wanted it to be. Either way, I need balance to justify the price. Order: cheesy bread, bone marrow, salad, broccolini, Mac and cheese, mash potatoes, fish, ribeye.

Yelp
First time here, our server was Ian. He was wonderful, very personable and had great recommendations. We started with the cheese bread it was delicious! The entrees we had were the rib eye, salmon and meatloaf. We all loved our entrees, the steak was one of the best I've ever had! The sides we had were macaroni and cheese, carrots, broccolini and they all were so good!! For dessert the 4 of us shared the carrot cake which was very flavorful and great to end our meal with that. The restaurant itself is so nice and they had someone there playing music which added a really nice touch. We loved our experience and can't wait to go back again!!

Yelp
like the new location because its right at the galleria. shop and eat made easy. came to celebrate anniversary so it was a nicer restaurant and wish they gave a dessert or sweet thing to accompany the celebration---especially since dinner was pretty pricey. will say the steak was cook perfect how we like. sides are also extra but good size portions. tad salty on the greens and and chips.

Yelp
I have been wanting to dine here for some time but never made it because of the distance. I finally made it spontaneously Monday evening. As soon as we walked in the ambiance felt modern yet comfortable and romantic. We started with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, perfectly chilled and the garlic cheese loaf. It was warm, cheesy, and impossible to stop eating. But I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing. There were so many tempting things I wanted to try. Our server was incredible helpful and recommended the braised prime short ribs. He said it was moist and tender and one of his favorites on the menu. He wasn't wrong. It was indeed moist and so good! We also tried the Berkshire tomahawk pork chop. The presentation looked too good to eat. It was perfectly cooked and paired with a side sauce that was sweet, salty, and savory. One personal touch that stood out was when the manager, Isiah, came over to ask how everything was. We even met "Q", the owner, we noticed that he made rounds to say hello to guests and stopped by our table. It was such a perfect evening, amazing service, and such a vibe. You'll have to check it out for yourself.

Yelp
The food was excellent and our server Luis was lovely! It's hard to find places that cook scallops properly and they did a great job. They had live saxophone music, which was a little loud, but really good. My only complaint was how hot it was inside, nearly 85 degrees (we were sitting next to the thermostat), but it was over 100 outside so I'm sure the AC was just having a hard time.

Yelp
Not sure where to begin as everything was exceptional from the service to the food. The restaurant is beautiful inside and very clean. Lighting was perfect and romantic. Appetizer: * Chicken-Fried Lobster Bites - flavorful with batter not overly heavy. Lobster was cooked just right, not tough * Garlic Cheese Loaf - soaked in balsamic and EVOO with garlic... heavenly. * Smoked Chicken Lollipops - great seasoning and mild smoke flavor... BBQ! * Roasted Vegetable Flatbread - not one of my favorites... I'm a meat lover LoL Shareables: * Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes - blended with roasted garlic, butter and milk! Yummy * Grilled 'California' Asparagus - delicious, fresh asparagus! garnished with Parmesan cheese and poached egg * Mac & Cheese - I can't get enough of this... I didn't want to share this shareable LoL! Entrées: * Southern Fried Chicken * Ribeye Cap - super tender and juicy! I was a complete carnivore that evening. I wasn't able to finish all of it since I got full from the apps and shareables but I had it the next day for lunch Everything was delicious! will be back

Yelp
My family raved about this restaurant and we decided to have a meal for my grandpas birthday. We had reservations and were seated within pretty quickly. The inside is gorgeous, with a large open bar and flat screens. We were sat at a booth and welcomed quickly. Their menu is fairly extensive with great comfort food options. We waited around 40 minutes for the entrees to arrive and the refills felt long awaited. We ordered the garlic bread which is SO YUMMY and cheesy. I ordered the crispy shrimp and grits. The shrimp were perfectly crunchy and a little spicy which I loved. The grits were very soft and almost mashed potato like, this isn't my preference in grits texture but overall still a great dish. I am definitely open to visiting again and trying more of their menu!

Yelp
Loudness: 90 decibels at bar; 80 decibels at an outside table by the opened sliding glass door. 90 is equivalent to standing near a food processor; 80 equivalent to standing near a lawn mower. 5:00 PM on a Saturday night. Restaurant and patio seating entirely full. I'll start with everything that pleased us and end with some other thoughts. There were two of us dining. We made our reservation about two weeks out, and our only seating options given were for 5:00 or 8:30. The food was delicious and imaginative. We ordered lots of small plates. Shareable Fried Okra. Fried Lobster Bites. Dry Aged Lamb Wellington. Bourbon Chicken Lollipops. Every single bite was delicious!!! The fried okra perfectly fried. No okra slime! The Lamb Wellington melted in our mouths. Server said the lamb was prepared sous vide before turned into the Wellington. Amazing. The Fried Lobster Bites a standout. And the chicken pops perfectly cooked. Some growing pains that they're working through. No cocktails. Only have a license for wine. However, they will graciously cork your own bottle at no cost. Despite having a reservation, we still had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated. That could be on us, as I don't know if when my friend made the reservation it asked for indoor/outdoor seating and what she chose. When we arrived, it was so loud inside that we asked to be seated outside. Unfortunately we were seated right at the open slider so we only had minimal reprieve from the loudness. The decor is elegant and chic. Unfortunately, they're embracing the current dining trend of hard surfaces, high ceilings and cavernous interiors, which becomes a loud echo chamber once multiple folks are seated. Unfortunately the live jazz music only added to the din of the entire restaurant.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place!! The ambiance of this place is outgoing and social. The service was TOP TIER, our server BETO was outstanding! The food was really good. Overall I would give the food a 9/10 just because the portions are a bit small for the price but the quality of the food is great! My favorite was the Ribeye and the mac and cheese!! Soooo good. I will be back for sure!

Yelp
Ok. I told you about local Chef Q at Q1227 a couple of weeks ago. So here I am again asking--why haven't you been there yet? As they've settled into their new location, they are really hitting their stride. The food is fantastic, the service attentive and genuine, and you can feel the attention to detail in every part of the experience. It actually reminds me of my favorite episode of The Bear--"Forks." For a truly great dining experience, everything has to come together: food, service, atmosphere, care. And you can tell they are working hard to make that happen at Q1227. Frankly, it's inspiring. #SacramentoEats #Foodie #SupportLocal #RestaurantReview #CustomerExperience #TheBear #Forks #LeadershipInspiration

Yelp
I've been here twice for birthday's, and both experiences were great! Even though the spot is packed and popular, wait time isn't too long, especially if you make a reservation. The main area for seating is stylish, and there's also a back room that can be requested. The waiters are respectful and attentive. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I recommend at least 2 orders of Lobster bites for an appetizer. Highly recommended!

Great food, great service, very nice atmosphere. We went there for our 31st anniversary dinner. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
So disappointed this is our favorite restaurant. My husband's birthday we drove all they way here for the seafood feast and it was not good. Everything else was amazing! The food was cold, not flavorful at all and cold it also had a bad chemical taste. We will definitely be back but will not recommend the seafood feast !!

Yelp
I brought my father to Q1227 to celebrate his retirement and we could not have had a better experience! It was so easy to make a reservation a few days before through their website and their new location at the Galleria meant easy parking & a quick walk to the restaurant. We checked in and were seated pretty quick, with the staff being so friendly and helpful! We both got the Spinach Arugula & Apple salad to start, with Diet Coke and their Q1227 Mocktail Mule (ginger beer with simple syrup, sooo refreshing). For entrees we had the Porkchop and the veggie flatbread with shrimp added. The porkchop was MASSIVE, & came with a tasty baked cinnamon apple. Our favorite was definitely the flatbread, recommended by our wonderful server Christiana! For dessert we shared the Peach Cobbler and House Sorbet which were so tasty and fresh. I didn't love the cobbler because the topping was pretty crispy/black throughout and the peach filling came out watery, but it was good to try it once! The House Sorbet was made with Blood Orange, had fresh chunks of the orange rind in it, and was topped with fresh berries; this was easily our favorite! Overall, Q1227 exceeded my expectations and was the perfect place to celebrate a retirement from the lively atmosphere, great food, and clean layout. We loved our visit here!

Yelp
1/2/2025. Hubby made a reservation at 6PM. Surprised me for my birthday. Wonderful =) Walked in and was greeted kindly right away. I already knew their customer service would be impeccable! Had to wait a few minutes cause they had to make sure our table was ready. The lady slowly walked us to our table. I loved how we were at the corner and only had one table next to us. Chic ceiling curtain for privacy. Beautiful cutlery , and a fancy lamp. Aesthetics of this restaurant is divine. They even have an elegant bar section. Ooo fine dining! We were greeted by our server, Roberto. I think he had a nickname but I forgot. He memorized every thing in the menu. Awesome recommendations! Very friendly and quite funny, as well. His hospitality was SUPERB! //APPETIZERS: 3/5 stars Nueske Pork Belly Tidbits $20+ Maple glazed/fennel and apple slaw. - Reminded me of thick crispy bacon with bbq sauce. I prefer eating this with rice vs. the apple slaw it came with. I can't take sour, so the slaw was a bit too sour for me. Not too salty. Flavorful! 3/5 Q1227 Fried Lobster Bites $28+ Creole remoulade/maldon sea salt/chopped parsley - Juicy, tender lobster. Crispy batter. Batter was too salty for me. I prefer to taste the lobster. I couldn't tell if it was shrimp or lobster. //ENTREES: 3/5 stars Pan Seared Scallops $48+ Crab hash cake/sautéed spinach/garlic beurre blanc - I love how tender the scallop was, but over all entree was too salty for my liking. I love a chef that can bring out the authentic flavor of each ingredient and still have harmony. 2/5 Chef Q's Jambalaya $42+ Andouille sausage/chicken/shrimp/crab legs/clams/mussels/spicy tomato broth/salmon trim/saffron rice - The saffron rice was delicious! The seafood has gone bad?! It tasted and smelled "too seafood-y", so the seafood was for sure not fresh, is slightly going to go bad or is bad already. It just didn't taste right. The smell stuck to my fingers for a long time. //DESSERT: 5/5 stars Sorbet $8+ - PHENOMENAL. Star of the show! Haven't had a sorbet in forever. Fruit's weren't sour. Delicious! I'm pretty sure it really depends on the chef that is cooking that day and the quality of some of their ingredients like their seafood. Gut feeling was masking the entrees with a lil bit more salt because ingredients were about to go bad??? Idk??? I was going to give this restaurant 3/5 stars but OUR SERVER, ROBERTO WAS PHENOMENAL! He's very knowledeable of the menu. He memorized the menu by heart!!! He checked up on us to make sure we were ok. He brought out my Happy Birthday treat and sang a quick Happy Birthday song. It was cute!!! The busboy was working diligently. ALL THE STAFF HERE WERE VERY HELPFUL, SO OVER ALL 4/5 STARS. Happy eat's ya'll =)

Yelp
I don't give 5 stars loosely, but this place absolutely deserves it. We were at the mall and decided to stick around for dinner so Q1227 it is. Started with the garlic cheese loaf. Hot, cheesy, red pepper flakes, garlic, balsamic. This was full of flavor and would have filled me up, I had to stop myself from eating it all. The short ribs (not my order) were flavorful and super tender. I went with the Berkshire tomahawk pork chop, glazed in bourbon maple it looked amazing and the taste lived up to it. Juicy and flavorful. The mac and cheese hit the spot. Warm, cheesy with a crispy top layer. Delicious. The vibe is chill, upscale, classy and inviting all at once. Service was great thank you to Brian. Isiah the manager, took a few minutes to chat, and even the owner stopped by to say hello. It made the experience feel more personal. Worth the visit!

Yelp
I really hate to do this. The food and the service are truly unmatched. But I cannot comprehend how this restaurant not only doesn't serve cocktails- they don't even serve beer anymore! When you come to a restaurant like this I'm sure 90% of people that do drink, are expecting to drink with their meal. ONLY offering wine is a bizarre choice. I'm fully aware they didn't have their liquor license and are in the process of transferring over from the old location- but going from only serving beer and wine to only serving wine is perplexing. I think what made it worse was the answers we were met with when we asked about it. "The chef wants you to focus on the food" (I call BS- no business owner wants to make LESS money by not serving alcohol) "we've been operating like this since October" (why would you advertise that?) "we can't serve beer with the license just wine" (that's a flat out lie). Honesty would have been better than having the servers make up excuses. I kind of felt bad for them having to say these things when they weren't believable. It's a shame because the food is SO good. But when you come here for date night expecting an experience and your husband who doesn't drink wine is left with the options of wine or water.... It's giving lack luster. I mean come on- they even serve beer at dive Mexican restaurants I'm just having a really hard time believing they can't pull that off here. We won't be back until they get their liquor license figured out. I'd rather go some where that the food is slightly less phenomenal and be able to get what we want to drink. Disappointing.

Yelp
SO DISAPPOINTED,,,, so we went to Q1227 tonight and it was terrible . Food preparation was horrible , service was absolutely brutal and the restaurant manager ( a tall African American Woman ) was unprofessional it was sad . Party of 6 , food took over an hour and a half to come out , when it did steaks over cooked ,,ordered Med Rare and both came out well done . Fried Chicken was cold and the mashed potatoes were cold and looked old . They re-cooked the steaks and chicken and EVERYTHING came out at different times , the server that took our food back was rude and made a comment under his breath . So after all of this the manager came out and said for our inconvenience and HORRIBLE experience she would have offered us complimentary desert " IF WE WOULD HAVE ORDERED " them !!! That was told to us after we didn't order , then she told us she would wave the mandatory gratuity,,, wait WHAT ? She said that is their policy , I responded our server was actually good why would you punish her because the Chef didn't cook the steaks correct and sent out cold food ? Then her response was " Well then WHAT DO YOU want " ,, ? My response was really ? We didn't ask for anything ,,but being you are supposed to be a top Resturant I shouldn't have to ask , our entire dinner experience was ruined !!!! NEVER again , the service and food has definitely taken a MAJOR dive over the past year , unfortunately after this experience I will NEVER return and I will definitely not be referring ANYONE to them ever again . It's just to bad I can't give 0 stars !
