Best Rooftop Restaurants and Bars in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Commonwealth’s rooftop patio is worthy of a visit based on location alone. The trendy bar, which is poised at the epicenter of the Fremont East District, offers sweeping views of the Fremont Street Experience, the glowing pink El Cortez sign, and the mountains in the distance." - Janna Karel

The 18 Best Bars in Las Vegas | Condé Nast Traveler

"Celebrating its 11th anniversary this year, Commonwealth has played a crucial role in the renaissance of Fremont Street, as a cocktail bar frequented by both locals and visitors. The menu serves cocktails from a mezcal-based Midnight Smoke and the lemon gin Fremont 525, to bespoke mules, as well as a rotating selection of beer. But it’s all about the unique spaces here, from the rooftop, perfect for group hangouts, and the speakeasy The Laundry Room, which only allows 22 guests in at a time to experience custom cocktails." - Rachel Chang, Andrea Bennett

Year in Eater 2022: The Saddest San Francisco Bay Area Restaurant Closures | Eater SF

"My neighborhood pub Commonwealth closed as well, another loss that made Telegraph Avenue worse for these closures and for my need for coffee and pastries." - Eater Staff

At This New Downtown Las Vegas Bar, Your Drink Will Be Decided by a Roll of the Dice | Eater Vegas

"Celebrating its tenth anniversary this month, I note Commonwealth in the Fremont East Entertainment District is debuting fruit- and floral-forward cocktails, including the midnight smoke—mezcal, reposado tequila, agave, dashes of grapefruit and angostura bitters, finished with brûléed grapefruit." - Janna Karel

"Speak Easy at the Commonwealth As part of the downtown revitalization renaissance, one of the new, interesting places to open in the area has been Commonwealth, a stylish Prohibition-era cocktail bar complete with its own speakeasy. The cocktail menu consists of two types of beverages--those that speak to the higher-end crowd and those that are a bit grittier--but all of them are interesting and worth ordering. Commonwealth's interior design is a bit dark but echoes the time period it is modeled after, and the attached, secret speakeasy has its own menu (ask a bartender for tips on how to enter and they might be able to help hook you up). One of the best highlights of this bar, however, is the fact that it's a locals' favorite, and there is an upstairs balcony where people hang out late into the night. The people watching from this open-air balcony is fabulous as people come and go from the Fremont Street Experience, though it can get a bit crowded at times. By AFAR Traveler , AFAR Local Expert"
