Clean. Modern.. Immaculate... Intimate.... Visually appealing..... Beautiful pieces by local black artists. The art provided flaring pops of color and texture. There were vr codes that you scan to get more info on the piece that you're looking at. This gallery is spacious with a loft Absolutely stunning. Right in the heart of South end. You should go - Oh and when you do go to Vana right across the street for some yummy food!

Very upscale an great space. Similar to some of the art gallery lofts in NYC but modern. Loved the diversity of the art. The staff was great & very informative, explaining the fact that this was a all Atlanta collective of artists.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary by visiting the art gallery. I have to say it was one of the highlights of our week! It was definitely a holistic experience and I would recommend it for locals and visitors. Furthermore, we were honored to have our questions answered by owner, Sonya and the knowledgeable, Simone! Simone provided a "deep" understanding of the art literally causing my arm hairs to stand up! My heart is full! What an experience!

Never realized this gallery was here, but I attended a surprise 40th birthday party here with a 80's theme. This is a great venue for a party, it's very spacious with perfect sectioning for a dj, a drink bar, birthday cake display and even areas where you can sit. the unique paintings and pieces of art are scattered throughout the gallery. They have specific food vendors for party use and they served several types of appetizers once we arrived and before the birthday girl arrived. The apps were all Caribbean inspired and delicious.

Always drive by but never went until today, AMAZING! Sonya, the new curator, is a lovely woman. The exhibits featuring Charles Williams are truly breath taking ;) The two young ladies working there, Madison & Casandra, were extremely knowledgeable and welcoming.

I checked out Elder Art Gallery today while running errands on South and East Boulevards. It doesn't look particularly artsy from the outside--just another plain-looking shop in a series of strip malls--but it has an impressive collection of artwork, both local and less so. The sculptures on display were awesome--from modern pieces to more classical stuff. And while most of the art is out of my price range, it wasn't all that expensive (in a relative sense, at least). Tons of variety in here--lots of paintings and drawings, too. Check it out.

This was a very nice gallery located right near uptown down in the Southend. Easy to find with a huge parking lot. I was lucky enough to be invited for a party last night and was able to enjoy the artwork. I loved the variety of art and the bright layout of the gallery. Great place to host a party or just come in and peruse the current displays. The staff was very friendly and I would definitely go again! Thanks guys!

Cool event space. I was here for a Christmas party this year and I found the place to be perfect for just that sort of thing. Plenty of catering staging available and a lot of cool art to peruse while you mingle amongst guest. The current artwork there may change but from what I saw they have some really great stuff. Some of it was painting and a mix of photography. All were very unique. Nothing much more to say other than if you're in the area and into art, then come take a look.

This is the best gallery in Charlotte, offering excellent regional, national, and even international art. Although art is subjective, I believe it's important to know what you're buying and why it is valued at a particular price point. The gallery owner, Larry Elder, clearly has a passion for art and will spend as much time as one needs to get educated in what they are considering buying. He clearly researches the artists whose art he sells extensively and seems to always know the provenance of the artwork in great detail. From impressionist Russian artists to local, undiscovered contemporary artists this gallery never disappoints.

Such a nice Gallery and they host really nice local artists. We went to the NC/SC contest and such nice works. We also took in the local art crawl which they schedule on the same night.Its just big enough to have some great pieces but not so large you get tired. Good job on the open house. The only downside we found was parking. Wish they had a local lot or a paid parking lot

Wow! This space is more than a gallery showcasing incredible international and local artists. It is a home for Charlotteans and visitors alike to come curious, learn about art, celebrate creativity, and have a meaningful conversation about the positive impact that art can have on our city and our world. Rather than feeling like a cold museum where the people are disconnected, the owners and staff greet you with open arms and invite you to stay awhile. The newly renovated space feels pristine, yet cozy...a place where you want to go time and again to admire beauty, expand your mind, and ignite your own creativity.

This is a beautiful gallery. We have purchased several pieces of art from here and love them all. We have also attended several events at this lovely venue. The owner is wonderful to work with and a great reputable guy all around. I would highly recommend Elder Gallery to anyone seeking art.

The worst collection of art suited for those who know very little about art. This gallery is neither progressive, provocative, or intellectually stimulating. It is perfect for Charlotte.

We've been buying art from Larry Elder for many years. We keep coming back because of his consistently great taste in artists, lots of broad diversity of work, and very reasonable prices compared to other galleries in Charlotte. Love his new space. If you see an artist you like, be sure to ask about other work. He often has just as much art in storage as he has on the walls.

Happy customer of Elder Art for over a decade. The gallery is about as high quality/low sales pressure as they come in the Charlotte dealer community. Exactly the type of business you want to deal with when buying pieces that may sell for $5k, 10k, and above. By far, the largest quantity of my art purchases have come from Elder Art. I recently purchased two beautiful Plasky pieces from the gallery. Highly recommend. Plus the gallery is a beautiful venue for social events!

This gallery has an explicit policy on their website that they will not entertain the art of any local artist. I hope that the public will avoid them and instead go to galleries that allow Charlotte artists an opportunity to exhibit their work.

I love the experience at the Elder Gallery. The gallery has a great vibe and offers so many great artists that are at great price points. I have purchased several paintings. What is great about the owner is that he knows everything about the piece and the history of the artist. You can tell he loves what he does and it makes you bond with the art before you even bring it home. I am definitely a big fan.
