"St. Kitts’ water taxis—basically anyone with a boat willing to make the crossing to Nevis—will drop you right on this beautiful stretch of sand, making Oualie Beach the perfect day trip. Once on land, head to the Oualie Beach Resort, where you can hang with guestsand locals at the on-site restaurant and bar. If you’re feeling adventurous, ask the bartender for a sample of one of the house-infused rums, made with a variety of local plants and herbs. Afterward, walk down to the beach, where you’ll find watersport vendors and even a small spa for some additional relaxation."

Swim Between 2 Idyllic Caribbean Islands — and See Turtles, Fish, and Other Marine Life Along the Way

"This beach serves as the traditional starting point for the annual Nevis to St. Kitts Cross Channel Swim, a 4-kilometer open-water race that draws swimmers from around the globe. The event is deliberately inclusive—participants of all skill levels are welcome, fins and snorkels are permitted, and swimmers are encouraged to move at their own pace—while the surrounding waters offer sightings of colorful Caribbean fish and the occasional sea turtle. Organizers have partnered with a local sea-turtle monitoring network to raise awareness about endangered marine life, contributing to a festive yet conservation-minded atmosphere." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. Perfection. We had a beautiful stay at Oualie Beach. The staff are wonderful and we really enjoyed their humour and care. Leone was very caring, and all the colleagues made our stay very special.

Very quiet area we were dropped off here. We stopped at the little resturant and had a cocktail before catching our taxi.

A local’s beach right by the water taxi station. It was quiet on a Thursday afternoon except for a few hotel guests sitting by the bar. The water was a bit murky.

My review is for the restaurant and beach. I stayed 5 nights at Oualie Beach and dined 3 times at the beachfront restaurant. It is a cute spot with a very casual ambiance. I had an arrival lunch with one of my best rum punches on my rum punch crawl. It was not overly sweet and had a nice touch of nutmeg. My fish tacos were to die for. Next up was Saltfish breakfast. It was nearly perfect if it weren't for the kitchen being out of plantains. Lastly, my favorite light dinner was a fish burger with hand cut fries. The fish was fresh with a nice portion. Now, to the beach. This is a lovely crescent of black sand and gin clear water. The constant trades keep the beach cool. There is ample shade too. I swam every morning followed by morning meditation and yoga.
