I like this pier. I have fished this pier many times and I have Videos up on YouTube. I choose to come on the weekends when its 24 hours. It does cost so be prepared, you don't need a license the pier license covers you. It is a long walk to the end. Be aware of your surroundings. I have always enjoyed all the piers in the tidewater area. Some you get discounts for being a Vet, a senior or having your own current fishing license so be sure to ask all the piers. I leave and come back throughout the day so make sure you get a wrist band and don't remove it. Bring your cooler and your bait and a jug of clean water to clean fish if you choose to. ALSO Make sure you know the Fishing regulations, what fish you can keep, what bait you can use and what seasonal regulations are in effect. You do not want a ticket. The VDGIF does come on to all the piers and randomly check fisherman.
