Free to peruse during day. Grungy venue to see the artwork and colorful set up, posters of great activists. Quick stop during day, but musical shows on Sundays and other days are probably fun.

If you love Fela kr Afrobeats you'd love to be here. It's a simple place laced with do much history. There are vendors for foods, drinks or Fela's Merch.

We actually passed by this historic house and memories of young people from my university way back going to enjoy Baba Fela's music flooded my mind. I was in deep awe and nostalgia. It has been visually improved and well kept.

Very rustic, rooted vibes... if you need air-conditioning dont go... its a "let your hair down" place.. leave your problems at home...

Great atmosphere and always a great crowd. Restrooms are immaculately kept and clean, all staff and vendors are friendly, approachable & respectful. Really unique & experience on Sundays. Would always recommend!

While I enjoyed my time here, I was a little bit disappointed 😞. All my life I had wanted to visit the Afrika Shrine, my dad talked a lot about fela and the shrine and how crazy it gets. The people, the smoke, the music - a total package everybody should experience at least once in their lifetime. In my head, I was hoping to see things, you know arts, statues etc - things that take me to the past, tell a little history of the place, Fela and the kalakuta republic. A little museum won't hurt 😂 Anyway, it turns out to be smaller than imagined, too tightly packed and I wonder how they managed to fit in that large crowd I see on TV during Felabration in such a small place. I guess I'd find out during the next Felebration. Anyway, I enjoyed myself. Had a few drinks, some smoke and the music. Seun Kuti is a master, I love what Femi did and Made Kuti, the Fela legacy is safe in his hands. I couldn't take any photos with them and yea, Vector the viper came to perform too. Apart from the environment that I think could have been better and modernized, the experience was 8.2/10 and the music is 10/10. I am definitely visiting again.

I Had a beautiful time here for a first timer. Came in on a Sunday for the Sunday Jump, experienced a beautiful presentation from Mr Femi himself, the dancers, instrumentalists.. all beautiful. Also, you find different vendors coming to your table to sell you food and palm wine, the bathroom is CLEAN CLEAN ( to my biggest surprise). I’m glad the shrine is still standing and being maintained well. Please keep it up.
