Yellowstone Pizza Company

The pizza here was DELICIOUS. And the vibe and decor of the place were super cute! It’s conveniently right outside of the park with quick-ish service. Thankfully this was one of the few places that were still open/serving lunch when we got there. We sat outside with views of the mountains. There were a lot of mosquitos in the area, but we just had to keep the box closed while eating. Our pizza had a lot of spinach which we forgot to exclude, so we just picked it off 😂 absolutely delicious!! It was a cute area to walk around afterwards with ice cream spots and souvenir shops next door as well as other cute spots in the streets over. It was a cute and unique town!

After a long day exploring Yellowstone, we returned to Gardiner and decided to grab a bite at Yellowstone Pizza Company, conveniently located right by the North Entrance. The place was quite busy — though not necessarily because the food is incredible, but more likely because dining options in town are pretty limited. We ordered a pepperoni and a veggie pizza. Both were decent — not amazing, but they got the job done after a full day in the park. What was a bit disappointing, though, was noticing that the pizzas are made using pre-baked crusts, which takes away from the freshness you’d expect (you can even see it clearly in one of my photos). The service wasn’t particularly warm or attentive, and the prices felt high for what you get — especially considering it’s just pizza. It seems like the restaurant relies more on the steady stream of one-time tourists than on delivering a memorable experience or building loyalty. I hope they put a bit more care into both the food and customer experience moving forward. The location is great, and with a little more effort, this spot could be much better.

Very disappointed! What happened, they must have changed ownership. Frozen crust, the sauce has no flavor. Best way to describe the pizza and experience is just bland. On top of all that it's very overpriced.y advice skip this place.

It gets the job done. The crust, cheese, and sauce have a very pre-made, frozen pizza, school lunch kind of feel and taste. They only have one size - 13 inch. The service was okay. The website was, I think, built by a 7th grader. It refused to let me order online. All-in-all, it is definitely not worth the 20-25 dollars for one pizza regardless of the location.

We we’re hungry for pizza having spent 13 hours in the park. We had The Norris, which was good tasting & had a fair amount of ingredients on it. Yes, the prices are a few dollars more expensive for the size pizza you get. We kinda expected that being from a town so near to Yellowstone. Atmosphere was cool, seemed clean & staff was respectful but busy.

We ordered a Yellowstone pizza and when we opened the box which they dropped on the table we couldn’t believe our eyes. It was covered with raw spinach so much we couldn’t see what was under it. The pizza was ok but overpriced.

We enjoyed their pizza. We ordered the Norris without the green pepper and onion. It is a thin crust and delicious. My husband also got a side salad. He loved their balsamic dressing. The place was packed, and there was a long line waiting to order. We got there at the perfect time.

I came in twice during my Yellowstone trip and the pizza was delicious, but pricey. I recommend the Yellowstone and Lamar Valley pizzas and the fries were good as well.

I came here on an empty stomach after finding out that the wait time on another restaurant was 1+ hr. I'm glad I did because the food came out very quick and tasted decent! It's thin crust which is my favorite kind of pizza. There were some unique options to choose from. I ordered their Yellowstone pizza, which had ground bison meat. It tasted delicious, just imagine seasoned beef with some of your favorite pizza toppings, especially since I was so hungry. If you're looking for a quick pizza spot with no frills, this is the spot for you. The interior isn't anything fancy, but there is a good amount of seating inside and a few tables outside. My only qualm is that it's pretty pricey for what you get.. but then again, what place isn't expensive in this town. It's located just outside the Yellowstone north entrance in Gardiner!

Not an amazing place to get pizza, but definitely the best option in Gardiner. We'll call it 4 stars, but flag that it would likely only earn 3 stars elsewhere. The place is busy on a summer evening, but they turn the pizzas around quickly enough. Have some decent options for eating upstairs al fresco (when not too hot), downstairs on long tables, or on some small tables streetside. Decent drink options. Mostly counter service, but friendly. In the end - fills you up after a busy day in the park.

I don't do a lot of critical reviews. This is an exception. Starts with the restaurant quietly charging the legally allowable max surcharge on CC payments - 4%. I'd be highly suspect that all CC payments are sending 4% fees to Yellowstone Pizza. My suspicion - they make money on most CC transactions. Pizza is nothing special. And it's pricy for the 13" you get. But, not a lot to choose from and you do get to look out onto the Northern entrance to Yellowstone NP. Over $22 for an underwhelming pizza (with parm and peppers available in packets). Meh. We also had the ravioli starter and a salad. They were also... ok. Best thing about YPC was the woman taking orders and running the till. Delightful. Strong tap beer selection (7$). I love to give positive reviews. YPC can't get one. I want my 4% back.

Great pizza spot. The pizzas were pricey, but worth it. It had great flavor with quality ingredients. Service was super friendly as well. They had beers I hadn't tried before and they were very accommodating with giving samples. The decor is mountain rustic chic. So appropriate for the area and really appreciate that they serve quality food. One of my pet peeves is high priced lousy food, especially in tourist area. Not the case here.

Decent pizza right by the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. I ordered a Norris Pizza, which had pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and onion (it normally has olives but I asked for no olives). It was also supposed to be topped with fresh spinach, but I did not see any spinach on my pizza... the other toppings were decent though they could have been a bit more generous with the mushrooms and onion. Also a lot of the toppings were just concentrated in the center of the pizza rather than being more spread out. The crust was thin but not too hard so that was good. While I enjoyed the pizza, I'm not sure if it was fully worth the $27. As mentioned, this place is literally right across the street from the Roosevelt Arch and the entrance to the park, making it a super convenient location for anyone just entering or leaving the park. The interior has a casual vibe and you order at the register before they bring the food to you. There is a decent amount of seating and there was no line when I was there for dinner. The lady at the register was fairly friendly. Overall, I think the location is definitely the best part about this place. Just for the convenience alone, it might be worth stopping by - again, pizza was not bad, but not the greatest either.

Fast service, good pizza and pro tip, they do half and half pizza! We got the plain cheese and the bison/elk ground meat which was excellent! Also got the huckleberry blonde, as when in Yellowstone you got to do everything huckleberry!

Perfect place to eat and won't kill your budget. A great view also. Food and service were good too.

Poor quality pizza everything is on paper plates my large pizza for $20 literally had 12 slices of pepperoni on it

Good quick fire pizza. All they do is 13 inch pizzas and have a few to pick from. Quick service and friendly staff. Can eat outside if want and watch the elk, mule deer and pronghorns roam about.- the elk and mule deer will walk right through town so be on the lookout for them. - we will be back if in the area.

Best pizza in Yellowstone! Located conveniently in Gardiner near the north entrance of the park. Tried the Yellowstone pizza made with ground bison - very tasty! And also tried the vegetarian Paint Pots pizza along with their house salad. Many different salad dressing selections to choose from. They also have a great selection of beers and soft drinks. Pizzas were made to order fast and place was decorated in a cute western style. They have upstairs outside seating too up on roof.

I have multiple great things to say about Yellowstone Pizza Company 1. Their food was the best in the city by a huge margin. Their ranch dressing was great and the pepperoni pizza was a good size and fed the four of us well. 2. The price was the most reasonable as well. A large salad and pepperoni pizza was less than 40 bucks and enough for four people. Between the taste and the price we ate there two days in a row. 3. Finally and THE MOST IMPORTANT, we left something of value there and we were hours away by the time they opened for the day. After talking to the manager David, he was super nice and mailed it back to us! So, if you find yourself in Gardiner, Montana, make sure to hit up Yellowstone Pizza Company. You will not regret it

Inside restaurant was very cute. My son loved the menu holder bear. Pizza was expensive for thin crust, nothing special. We just got a cheese & pepperoni. We did enjoy the cheesy breadsticks. Service was quick.

Good pizza. They have a giant pizza oven. Smaller place not lots of seating so might be busy at times.

The pizza was okay it kind of tasted like you'd made it at home. Thin crust and quick was a plus.

The vibe of the place was cool but pizza was unfortunately the worst I've ever had. The crust tastes like premade flatbread and there is too much cheese, so I would ask for less. The salad was good though.

We tried "their popular" thin slices, and I have to say their products should be priced at $12-15. I'd give at least a 4-star. That is really the problem when you set the bar so high. Paying $25 for a 13-inch thin pizza should be like Michelin grade. The dining experience was also interesting. Whether dine-in our dine-out, they box their pizzas. Can't believe they have the audacity to ask for tip. Buyers beware when you're asked to pay beforehand, plus 4.5% additional fee using credit cards.

Average pizza for a big spend. $82 for two 13" pies and an undercooked order of mozzarella sticks. Well decorated and fun for the fam. It's not an artisan pizza or wood fired pie. It's just a pizza.

Horrible pizza!! They use frozen pizza crust. The crust was undercooked, pale white, cheese was ashen white. Buy a frozen pizza, stick it in a microwave, it would be less expensive and probably tastes better! It was terrible and $$. Undercooked, flavorless. Don't even bother.

The pizza was good and the side salads were good. The only problem was the portions were very small. The large pizza is 13 inch for 20 bucks. That's not a whole lot bigger than a Totino's pizza. The atmosphere was OK.

This place deserves ZERO stars. The pizza was BAD. The crust was a frozen flatbread. The cheese was like rubber with no flavor. Typical sad tourist stop, just about lowest cost on ingredients sold at a high price.

Great pizza right outside of Yellowstone entrance. We split the pizza between 2 people and each ordered salad which was perfect. Pizza was absolutely incredible. The service is both take and go pizza or dine in. It's serve yourself meaning that you get your own plates, utensils, and topping such as Parmesan cheese. This place is great with its cool vibe (some rock music playing and signs on the walls) and nice employees. If you want some good pie and don't want fancy dining, this is the place to be!

After a long day at Yellowstone a good pizza and dark beer hit the spot. Location has an upstairs patio with a nice view, ambiance is relaxing and casual. Ordered the Greek salad, Yellowstone pizza and cheese pizza for the kids. Pizza is exactly what you expect from a place like this. Good ingredients, great dough and pies are coming out of an awesome oven in less that 15 mins. Bit of a drive from lodging at park but worth it.

Terrible pizza, what is with all the good reviews? No sauce, high prices and no plates? Not the worst pizza I've ever had, that was in Mexico, but this is on my top 5 worst list, it was just lazy. Tourist trap 100%.

Very limited menu - looking online they used to offer much more (both apps and varieties of pizza.) Now the only app was cheese sticks and even those were unavailable on this day. There are only 5-6 pizzas to choose from now instead of the 10-12 that were on the menu a year or so ago. Also this place is "carryout only" even tho there are plenty of tables and chairs. Kinda weird but whatever. The biggest issue that prevents me from recommending this place... ridiculously high prices for a ridiculously small pizza. $20-27 for a pizza that won't even feed 2 people. Best to keep looking for another restaurant imo.

Service was very fast. I love the Alabama decor. Roll tide. Pizza was very mid but overall decent experience.

I've traveled all over the U.S. and this is by far the WORST PIZZA I have ever eaten. The service was terrible despite us leaving a 20% tip. This was incredibly expensive and awful food. I would have had a tastier meal from the gas station.

Suspect of any review that states "good or excellent" service for this business. As you walk in, you make you order at the register and then find a place to sit. There is no service beyond order taking. When you are done, you buss your own table as well. We sat there and multiple people , multiple times , came off the street and went into the kitchen. So weird. Pizza had Little to no sauce, no seasoning such as basil or oregano and cheese had no flavor. This was terrible and should be avoided at all cost. I added a picture of the pizza with the cheese pulled back. You be the judge if you think this review is out of line. Do you see pizza spices? Sauce? Normally I like a little charred crust but in this case it was gross.

The menu online shows gluten free options. After a long drive to get to the restaurant, we were told there is new ownership and the only gluten free option is a salad. So disappointed.

We ordered the greek salad, the Mammoth pizza, the Norris pizza, and the cheese bread. Everything tasted phenomenal and the restaurant was absolutely in touch with the state park vibe. Only complaints are that they only offer a 13 inch pizza, and the cheese bread was pretty flavorless- but they would've been amazing if they had a garlic sauce. Additionally, if you prefer a thick pizzza crust, this IS NOT the place for you. Their crust is very thin and crispy, not soft and thick.

While planning our trip to Gardiner, we had bookmarked this place to try out. We didn't feel comfortable dining indoors, so we opted for takeout. Besides, we had a lovely patio looking over the river back at our cottage, so why not practice social distance plus look at a killer view (see Riverside Cottages in Gardiner). We ordered some cheese bread, the elk pizza, and some wings. The main draw that brought us here was the elk pizza (love you, elks, but we wanted to try you). Tbh, I was a little apprehensive to try elk, let alone on a pizza, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. The pizza place is like a neighborhood pizza shop. With not too many options in Gardiner, it was sufficient enough for us. Plus, we wanted to support local. It's decent enough to enjoy after a long day inside the park.

Solid pizza in the area! It's a touch on the salty side, but the flavors balanced out well. We got the Madison. The wait time wasn't too long (called while driving out of Yellowstone) and the staff were all very friendly!

I didn't get anything specia, just a pepperoni pizza, but it was very good. Great flavor & I loved the crust. I called in for a pickup and had to wait a little past estimated time but it was understandable because they were swamped. Friendly & courteous staff. My only complaint is that I didn't get more.

Oh my gosh ! This place is terrible . The worse pizza I've ever had in my entire life . The plays preys on ripping off tourists for garbage cheap pizza who they know will never come back! Don't waste your money !

Great pizza and fried ravioli. The pizza had a nice thin crust compared to your typical pizza. I ordered the mammoth pizza. I was not a huge fan of the amount of onions on the pizza so I ended up picking off most of them. My husband had a margarita pizza with Canadian bacon and habaneros. My husband ate his entire pizza but two slices were plenty for me. We also go an order of fried ravioli. The ravioli was nice and gooey on the inside and the marinara it came with was so good! I dipped my pizza in it. I would definitely order the ravioli again. The service staff seemed to be struggling when we came in to get our order. Customers before me were complaining about their orders being wrong. The person who gave me my food, double checked before she handed it to me. I also observed no employees wearing masks, while customers were wearing masks. There was also a sign on the door allowing only one person for to go orders be in the restaurant at a time. There were groups of people sitting at tables eating, so the restaurant was quite crowded for this time during COVID-19.

Great food and service! There was virtually no wait for us (2 people) on a Saturday night. Pizza took just a bit longer to come out than we expected but they were busy. The wait was well worth it because the pizza was amazing. We finished it within minutes leaving nothing behind. We got the build your own with 4 toppings. I highly recommend coming here for a good pizza after a long day of hiking!

15-20 minutes from Mammoth in Yellowstone. Open late (although the hours did not match what was online - I suggest calling - when we went they closed promptly at 9) Thin crust pizza. Friendly staff. Not a lot of variety of pizzas, but a good beer selection and open later than anywhere we could get to in Yellowstone. I would say pizzas are a 3 star, but service bumps it up one to 4. Average pizza price around $20-$24 for a medium size pizza. The best was the Bison pizza.

Found this gem by chance! Fabulous pizza place in Gardiner. They have many veg options as well. We got the Paint Pot and Narcissus. They make really yum pesto base pizzas and the crust was near perfection. They even accommodated our last minute addition to the pizza, making us love them more. Go grab some amazing pizzas whenever you're around the North Entrance.

BEWARE!!! THIS NASTY RIP OFF JOINT IS THE DEFINITION OF TOURIST TRAP! Located conveniently (for them) just outside the north entrance/exit of Yellowstone in Gardiner, MT, it is poised ready to strike any hungry and unsuspecting suckers leaving Yellowstone. They are open later than most of the other places in the area so after a long day in the park it's the perfect trap. We walked in and quickly realized you order at a counter and seat yourself, which is fine so we grabbed a couple of menus and selected a table. Upon perusing the menu I noticed two things that were annoying but forgivable if we could get a good meal as we were all really hungry. Annoyance number one was that they charge an automatic 10% tip on all orders....the main reason being I could clearly see that I had to order at the counter and get my own drinks. Fine I thought, as I normally tip 20%+ so 10% might just be all they get since the first half of the work falls on me. The next annoyance which was of even greater magnitude was that there is a 4% charge on all debit/credit orders even though these crooks refuse to take cash! At this point I'm thinking 'this better be some dang good pizza as I'm beginning to have a bad taste in my mouth already...but like I said, everything else was closed or closing soon(8:20pm) I begrudgingly leave the dirty sticky table and go up to the counter and order a pepperoni, a supreme, and 1 Dr Pepper...the kids and wife had water. The bill after all the gotcha fees was $57.95. [$20.80 for the pep, $27.04 for the supreme(even though menu stated $20 and $26)and $3 for my drink...plus $7.11 "tip" and forced card fee] I choose not to say anything as I'm choosing to eat here and I at least knew ahead of time about the fees...as mentioned it better be some good pizza! During the 15 minutes or so of eagerly awaiting our pizza we got our paper plates and napkins from the self serve counter next to the drink machine and a refill after downing my Dr Pepper....what was that tip for again? Expecting any time to see one of the half a dozen staff bring our delicious offerings to the table on a pan with perfectly melted cheese and a serving spatula. NOPE! Instead I hear my name hollered from the side of the counter area...3 seconds later I hear it again, and by the time I could set my drink down and approach the counter 15 feet away she yells yet again! I approach the girl and she hands me 2 small boxes (remember that tip) and as I take them I notice how light they are. At this point I'm beyond keeping my mouth shut...although polite I let it be known how I feel. I said to her, "Let me get this straight, You guys charge me a 4% card fee even though you won't let me use cash, then charge me a mandatory 10% tip even though I had to both order and pick up at the counter and had to get my own drinks and plates?" She just steps to the side and motions to the manager who looks me dead in the eye and says, "I didn't make the rules." I exaggeratedly hefted the empty feeling pizza boxes and asked if they were Jacks pizzas in them before returning to the table to present them to my hungry and anticipating family. The response when I unveiled this disaster of a pizza disappointment was comical minus the fact that it had cost $58. I didn't even think to take a picture of the drab dull soggy supreme but did at least snap one of the pepperoni with one of the paper plates sitting over it. A Jack's frozen pizza would have actually been more appealing! A limp cracker-like pizza that couldn't have weighed much more than 12 ounces...the supreme would've weighed a bit more based on the watery sludge that they called toppings residing on top of the now soggy cracker. Like I said it was borderline comical minus the money. I don't think I could've slept that night or looked my wife in the eye if I just rolled over and accepted being screwed like this so I went up and told the manager kid that I wanted my money back. Surprisingly he didn't even blink at the request and promptly refunded my card. I thanked him and told him that I didn't even need to explain why. They know exactly what they're doing. They know most people are one time tourist customers will just sheepishly pay it and be gone...which is how a tourist trap is designed to work. This place wouldn't last 2 weeks in a real world environment If you choose to eat here, know that ARE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF...unless you enjoy being sold overpriced crap and being forced to tip at fast food restaurants. Side note, table was sticky and had dead pizza chunks in a groove in the wood and wife said bathroom was a splattered mess.

Stopped here with our large family group after a satisfying, but tiring day at Yellowstone. They were quick to accommodate our large group and seated us on a lovely (but windy) rooftop patio. Unfortunately that's all that I can say that was great about this restaurant. Pizza is extremely overpriced ($25-30 for 12 in thin crust), under topped, and lacking in flavor. We couldn't find anything on the menu for our toddler granddaughter with egg allergy. I left feeling ripped off and still hungry. Honestly we should have stopped at the market for frozen pizzas to take home and prepare. But, kudos to them for figuring out how to capitalize on a location right outside a national park.

Great food! Great atmosphere! Loved this local joint! Prices were a bit steep but the food was good. Recommend the Greek salad! A large fed our family of three easily! The pizzas are 13" in size. Had to order two to feed our family. Would recommend!

This rounds up to a 4-star - strong service, great vibe and good food. There's not an abundance of seating here but the turnaround is quick and we were seated right away. I ordered the pizza margherita with half Italian sausage and half elk (yes, weird that I saw elk earlier in the day and am now eating it). Everything was great about the pizza - fresh basil, sweet tomatoes, thin crust, crunchy on the outside but the middle was noticeably soggier and nothing seemed to "stick" to the dough so it was rather easy to "scrape" off toppings should you have the desire to do so. I tasted the Artesia Pizza - pesto sauce, bell peppers, olives and artichoke. The multitude of toppings added to the weight and made the middle even soggier thought. I did like the flavor combinations but it does need thicker crust for this particular entree. The two young servers had a lot to handle on their own but did a great job managing and all with a smile and great attitude - can say how much that improves the customer experience. Especially for the weary traveler! We also had the fried green beans as an appetizer - thicker than you expect breading, but really tasty, well seasoned, you're only problem is trying to avoid eating too much before your entree arrives. I also ordered the cold smoke scotch ale - a dark porter brewed locally and on tap - pretty good not too hoppy and not Guinness-thick if that's your preference.

Disappointing Dimensions and Pepperoni Plight Oh, where do I begin with my experience at this so-called "best pizza in Yellowstone" restaurant? I had high hopes for a cheesy, delightful feast, but alas, it turned out to be an underwhelming culinary catastrophe. My experience was a woeful tale of a 13-inch pizza that seemed more like a cruel optical illusion, and the stinginess of the pepperoni distribution that left me questioning their commitment to flavor. Definitely not worth the money. Go to Outlaw (if they don't run out of pizza) and get a large, filling pizza for less money.

Delicious place to eat! I ate here on July 28,2021 and their hours were different than the ones posted on google and Yelp. They open at 3pm. Many restaurants close between 2-4pm or 3-4pm so this was the only place to eat which I'm glad we did not miss out. This place is sit down and take out if you don't feel like sitting inside or are grabbing something quick before heading into the park. It has space to accommodate a large family of about 8 and they have tables to sit a small party of 2 people as well. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Our waiter was very patient and kept coming around to check on us frequently to ensure we had plenty to drink and that we had everything we needed. The pizza is very thin so don't expect pan style fluffy pizza. Don't get me wrong it's still delicious! All toppings on the pizza were fresh. The zucchini was great and perfectly cooked. The pizza is one size only Medium so if you have a large family you might need to buy a couple.

Worst pizza I've ever had and over priced. No good food options in Yellowstone area. $80+ for pizza, salad, cheese bread, and drinks.
