Our server, Amanda, was friendly and attentive. The Dolmas came quickly and tasted great. The food came soon after. I had the gyro plate. The flavors really popped, and the hummus was pretty darn good. My companion is vegetarian and had plenty of options to choose from. This food deserves a truly remarkable atmosphere, not just a good one.

Google
Love. Great food made with thought and care. Try the Lebanese iced tea, but be careful, it is addictive! I am not in Jackson anymore but in the three weeks I was there while my daughter was in the hospital, I ate there seven times alone and with family.

Google
Welcoming environment, with comfortable seating. Ordered mint Lebanese unsweetened tea to start, delicious. We got lamb and tilapia plates that hit the spot! The pita bread wasn’t as fresh and fluffy as we would’ve loved but it didn’t take too much away from the meal. Our two desserts were good as well.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aladdin Mediterranean Grill, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was immediately impressed by the inviting atmosphere. The decor is beautifully done, with a charming fusion of traditional and modern Mediterranean elements that transports you straight to the Mediterranean coast. It's truly a feast for the senses and sets you in the right mood for a culinary adventure. The food was, in a word, exceptional. I ordered the Big Combo (4 pieces of shrimp, 2 pieces of lamb chops, and chicken kabab chunks), and the dishes were bursting with flavor. The lamb was perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned just right, while the hummus was creamy and complemented by fresh pita bread. What impressed me even more was how quickly the food was brought to my table. Sometimes, quality and speed don't go hand in hand, but Aladdin Mediterranean Grill manages to deliver both. It's clear that they have mastered the art of efficient service without compromising on quality. Speaking of service, it was exceptional. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure that all my needs were met without being intrusive. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations, adding a personal touch that enhanced the overall dining experience. In summary, Aladdin Mediterranean Grill is a must-visit. With its delicious food, efficient service, and superb atmosphere, it’s a spot where you feel both welcomed and well taken care of. Whether you're in a hurry or looking to enjoy a leisurely meal, this restaurant accommodates both with grace and flair. A truly satisfying experience that I would highly recommend to anyone craving Mediterranean cuisine.

Google
Lamb chops were about 30$, 4 small pieces and a small portion. However, they brought us unlimited pitta bread which was nice.

Google
This is a nice and cozy little restaurant tucked away down from the medical district. The food and service is excellent. I recommend the Combination Kaba's.. For appetizers the Spinach Pie... I'm sure you come back again for more. They now also serve breakfast...

Google
ive eaten here for years my parents have lived across the street and we get it every week maybe 2-3 times. this place absolutely destroys every other mediterranean restaurant in the area. the others are good but they are not great. this place is great and has lebneh which you cannot find anywhere else in town among other things you wouldnt be able to find at somewhere like aplos. bring the whole family

Felicity L.

Google
We came through here on a week night during a cross country drive. We chose our seat and were able to order quickly. We ordered the falafels as an appetizer. They were definitely unique among falafels I've tried, but unfortunately not in the best way. The texture was of chopped bits, like the chickpeas maybe weren't cooked all the way before they were mashed, or that they were rough chopped rather than mashed? I'm not sure, but they weren't my favorite. I ordered the hummus and lamb plate and my husband ordered the chicken shawarma. They were good, filling plates, and they came with a side of both wheat and white pita. The hummus and lamb plate offered the perfect portion of meat for me. I do think the plates are priced a little steep for what they are, but it was a good experience.

Yelp
The food was amazing. We had the lamb, hummus, naan and labneh. We will be back next time we are in the area!

Yelp
We were in town and popped in this hole in the wall that was transformed as soon as we stepped through the door. I'd say it's a hidden jump, but it seems like all the locals love it and frequent it! Everyone we crossed paths with was friendly knowledgeable, and perfect with service. The ambience is amazing with mood lighting and beautiful colors. Everything we ordered was fantastic! Chicken, Shawarma and gyro plate, and an extra side of grilled veggies. We had so much fun, our waitress treated us like old friends and showed off all the dishes that came through so we could get ideas for what we wanted to eat. Thanks for a great experience

Yelp
The lamb was delicious! I tried the hummus not a fan, but it's not because of how they did it. I just don't like hummus and it came with the meal and also the rice was good! The waiter was amazing! The place looked fabulous!
google avatar

Janis S.

Yelp
I love a great hole in the wall. Clearly this place has been around for a long time. I was seated and greeted promptly. When I couldn't choose between the chicken shawarma and the lamb chops, my server suggested a single chop as an appetizer. The chop was cooked perfectly and off a pretty decent side. Very tasty. The shawarma was underwhelming. When it was delivered to the table there was a lot of steam. I suspected that it had been heated in the microwave. Strange... it was barely warm. in any case, i found it a little dry. i did enjoy the mint tea. very strong and refreshing!

Dede R.

Yelp
Had the chicken shawarma and their mint sweet tea. Best meal I have had in a long time.

Yelp
The food, service and atmosphere is always amazing. This is a place that I frequent because I like the rule of byob. As always the restaurant was full of the local medical and student community hanging out after work. It reminds me of that cafe that all the residents went to in Greys anatomy. Food was great except when my soup came out it didn't have any lentils and it tasted as if water had been added to it. I sent it back. My suggestion would be to let the customer know if you're out of an item. Don't try to trick them and then feed them the remains. Some may take it as an insult to their intelligence, as I have.
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Service was good. The lamb kabobs were more like lamb tips on top of rice and the lamb was overcooked for my preference. The warm pita with hummus was very good. I did enjoy a tasty serving of lentil soup.
google avatar

Jarrod S.

Yelp
Came here after long drive in for work and was not disappointed by the other reviews. The ambiance was no frills but the seating when you walk in was super inviting. Had the lentil soup to start that seemed too thin and pita to start. For the main party had chicken and gyro mixed and both were well seasoned and super tender moist to my liking lol. This place gets super busy i can tell and would come again! BYOB no booze here but couple next to my table brought their own wine.

Yelp
I eat here about once or twice a year but this is a pre-birthday dinner so I decided to try something new. First off, service here is always fun. Almost every server I've ever had here has been a delight. They are efficient and knowledgeable of the menu and do their best to make each guest feel like family. Inside has not changed over the years. It's a nice spot with a Mediterranean vibe and decor. Not much to get excited about but who comes here to look at the decor anyway lol. They now serve breakfast and I couldn't be happier. I've never had Turkish coffee until I tried it here and it divine! I also tried the breakfast lamb kabob on pita and it was great. They use real eggs which was a plus! It had just the right amount of tzatziki that didn't overpower the lamb.

Jim G.

Yelp
Wow! What a surprise! We haven't eaten here in a few months, and we were really disappointed. The prices have been raised, perhaps necessarily, but the quality of the food is substantially lower. As always, there's lots of food on the plate, but the flavor is gone. The falafel is dry and hard, the meats and shrimp are lacking in flavor. Even the salad lacks the flavors of the past. Takeout dinner for 2 tonight was $60 with tax and tip. Not worth it anymore.

Yelp
Tonight was a bit of a let down. Although we were seated quickly (by an extremely polite guy) and our orders were brought quickly when asked if we needed anything else that was when the service slid down a few notches. I asked for more tahini and waited, and waited. Not wanting my food to get cold I ate all of the falafel I could but just stopped eating giving my husband the remainder. The bill was brought after our plates were removed and then the extra cup of tahini was brought and sat on our table. I was told, "it's yours, take it home, you paid for it." That was disappointing in itself because why would I want to take home a small cup of tahini? The falafel was hard, dry discs and I needed the tahini to make it where I could swallow it; with little flavor to boot. My husband said the chicken shawarma was good. I really wanted the meal to be good. The hummus and mint tea were both nice but for me that was all. Sadly this was enough to make me rethink why I liked it so much.

Yelp
I first discovered Aladdin Mediterranean Grill on a trip to Jackson for a meeting back in 2013. The coordinator for the meeting brought us to Aladdin, and I was quite impressed with the quality of the food, the authenticity of the menu offerings, and the outstanding service and attention to detail. I worked in Northwest Mississippi for five years, and came frequently to the restaurant from2014-2919. Although I am assigned elsewhere these days, I still make every attempt to visit whenever I come into Jackson. The ambiance of the restaurant is homey and familiar, with a staff who are knowledgeable about their offerings, very attentive and approachable. They informed me that they are working on a larger location next door that they will move into soon. I imagine that the need for a larger space is nothing less than a sure sign that the restaurant and its adjacent Mediterranean grocery continues to thrive and exceed expectations. Will I continue to come back? OH YES, whenever I can!!

Yelp
Delicious food--would definitely go again! Our waitress was fantastic and brought out our youngest son's food as soon as it was ready. We didn't even ask her to do that! Very thoughtful. Also food was ready quick for our lunch time. All the staff was excellent. Doesn't look like much on the outside but it's restaurant worth checking out!

William O.

Yelp
Our go-to for weekend dinner.the food is tasty & healthy, not to mention reasonably priced.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! We were just getting to Jackson,MS and were hungry. We stopped at a gas station and Aladdin was right next door. I watched people go in and out for about 10mins and immediately decided the food had to be good. I am so glad I followed my instincts!! The lamb was grilled to perfection!!! And Took a r recommendation from our waitress Deanna. By the way Deanna was the sweetest waitress!!! She let us move when I told her I was cold and she fought tooth and nail for my Sage tea . That is the only reason I rated them as a 4 instead of a 5 because I really wanted that Sage tea so let's just say they get a 4.8!!! If you are Jackson, MS come thru Aladdin's is delicious!

Lori B.

Yelp
Love Aladdin. Fresh food and great service. The best Mediterranean in Jackson! Highly recommended.

Yelp
Passing through Jackson enroute to the great solar eclipse of 2024 we found this little place near downtown Jackson and stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. Seems to be popular with the locals and filled up soon after we arrived around 7p. My wife had the chicken shwarma and it was delicious. Served with pita bread, rice and a wonderful hummus. I opted for the kebab combination platter including chicken, lamb and beef and the same sides as the shwarma. Unfortunately this dish was not the same quality as the shwarma- meat was room temp and rather tough, and I had a hard time distinguishing which was lamb or beef. Notable is that they don't serve alcohol but they kindly referred me to the liquor and convenience stores next door who sell wine and beer and they happily allowed me to imbibe with no corkage fee. Would be 5 stars if not for the disappointment on the conbo plate. But definitely worth checking out for their other entrees.

Yelp
Nice setting. Friendly staff and yummy food with a varied menu. Love Middle Eastern and this is a really good spot.

Bobby K.

Yelp
Been going for years. Always great!!!!! I have been knowing the owner for years. The food qualities is always top notch. Give it a try you'll like it.

Jessica U.

Yelp
YUM. The restaurant had good vibes, service was nice and food was amazing. Wish we lived in Jackson so we could come here more often!
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
Makda was great! The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We were just passing through. But I would make a trip here for food again!
google avatar

Jeff P.

Yelp
One of my go-tos in the Jackson area. The burger is honestly so good. The yea they have is some of the best I've ever had.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
Food was amazing! I got the beef kebab plate and the beef was cooked perfectly tender. My husband also got a turkish coffee, he really enjoyed it. The mint tea goes great with your meal during the colder weather. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will be sure to come back to try the breakfast. Exceptional customer service, we were in and out in less than an hour.
google avatar

Samba T.

Yelp
Great breakfast and lunch spot. Ate there several times when I worked in the area. Plus there's a grocery store right next to it selling some goodies.
google avatar

Kadie D.

Yelp
You just can't find flavorful food like this around the area. Service is great and it's a cozy atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable. I had the shakshuka and sage tea this time. Just really enjoyed everything about this visit.
google avatar

Brady D.

Yelp
Just ate here for the first time today and had some breakfast. The atmosphere was really cool and the server was very friendly. I ordered the Turkish coffee and the shakshuka. I have eaten food from all over but that dish was one of my favorites. The pita bread was nice and warm, the spices in the dish were great. I would prefer a little more heat but it was still great. This might be my new favorite place in the area, can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Anahit Z.

Yelp
The place didn't look that attractive from outside. But since our friend recommended we decide to give a shot. The food was very tasty. Reasonable price. We got tiramisu they make here, it was one of the best I've ever tried. Dolma was basically rice , not much meat in it, but the plate had a lots of other tasty things to eat))) The yogurt drink was the pick of my joy. I had it in California and couldn't find it here in Jackson. So I was very surprised and happy. Very nice elderly woman waitress. The menu look so good, a lots of foods I use to eat in LA, CA. We will be definitely back 8 out of 10!

Cassandra R.

Yelp
I became a regular on vacation and only stayed nearby two nights if that tells you how much I liked this place. Hummus is delicious, pita is warm and soft, entrees we're full of flavor. Chicken and Lamb were my favorites and I recommend you try all of the desserts. I did and couldn't choose a favorite!!

Hardip G.

Yelp
Great food and service and happy it's near the hospital. I find myself ordering from here quite often.
google avatar

Jack S.

Yelp
Good Greek food. Crowded for lunch. Hidden spot, but worth it. Lamb and Beef great. Hummus too
google avatar

Charlene G.

Yelp
YES PLEASE! Traveling alone (business) I wanted "finger food" type dinner. I went with the hummus dip, spinach pie & added a meet option.... lamb and beef. Now I'm thinking I'm going to use the pita wraps ... smear on the hummus & add the meat folded up & have a wrap! I had it delivered to my hotel & it was FAST & fresh! (I ordered through YELP - grub-hub) it was here in 25 minutes. (I am really close to the restaurant) The spinach pie order comes with 2 - I couldn't help myself & ate one before the picture. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Stuffed FULL & the dip - OMG! Enjoy!
google avatar

Emad F.

Yelp
Need to work on the food flavor and quality the middle eastern workers do kit smile and look friendly only the American waitres or waitresses
google avatar

Haley G.

Yelp
Great food and service. Has awesome vegetarian options. I recommend the falafel wrap, fries, and halloumi.
google avatar

Anthony C.

Yelp
I like reviews but I hate when people exaggerate the truth! I was hyped for the visit to Aladdin Mediterranean Grill! If you read my reviews I try to be fair! So after seeing the Uber rating and the Yelp rating, I would give them a try! I ordered a Gyro, being from Chicago I know and understand a real gyro! I ended up with some kind of reconstituted gyro meat(6oz), some romaine lettuce and a couple onion slivers! My review don't do it! You have money to waste give it to charity! This place will make you angry on food presentation alone! Second thing we ordered was a Greek salad and I add gyro meat! So 24.00 later and a salad with french dressing on it! Let the buyer beware! Meanwhile I know they have to have a clientele that likes mediocre and subpar food! Personally they should revamp the menu and learn what they are serving! I get food cost, but powdered feta cheese and olives on their last leg isn't impressive!
google avatar

Brenda H.

Yelp
Great food, great service (unusual these days), good prices, dine in or take-out. My husband is not wild about Mediterranean (I am) but he loves their Chicken Shawarma. We have ordered it in other cities, but he says this is the best. We both agree their hummus is one of the very best we've ever had (and we have been to Israel).
google avatar

Faika K.

Yelp
Visited this place on our way to Alabama. We were searching for a halal place and this Mediterranean restaurant had good reviews so we stopped here. Tried the gyro, beef kabob, chicken shawerma and lentil soup. Loved everything. So glad we decided to try this. A must if you are in the Jackson area.
google avatar

Charlene T.

Yelp
The food is amazing and very flavorful. The service was very fast and the server was knowledgeable. It was a relaxed environment
google avatar

Jill T.

Yelp
Delicious! Prompt service- repeat customer. Fairly priced and reasonable portions. Recommend! Try the Aladdin Sampler appetizer if you are new to this cuisine. Advertising "now serving breakfast!" I'll have to try next time!
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
The food was excellent! Erin Jo's lamb chops were superb with the precise ratio of crispy tenderness. Enjoyed the hummus and the falafels reminded me of Mamoun's in NYC. Overall, an excellent meal.
google avatar

Tarah H.

Yelp
First time eating at a Mediterranean restaurant, and I loved it! Best hummus I've ever had. Their mint tea was something special. Chicken was full of flavor. The atmosphere was very organic and original. Lots of food for a great price. Can't wait to go back.

M B.

Yelp
Whether breakfast, lunch or supper, Aladdin is always delicious. It is one of those magical restaurants that is filled with locals and visitors alike. It's impossible not to have favorites, but the low prices make any visit easy on the wallet. Excellent value and always fresh! The service is from good to great. Orders come out quickly and the servers never rush patrons. But do be generous in your tipping if you and friends tie up a table all evening. These folks are working hard to make a living. The room is an eclectic mix of faux Mediterranean tapestries and paintings that help set a comfortable and casual atmosphere. Save room for desert, no matter what your main course was. I love the authentic baklava but the tiramisu is made on-site daily and makes my tummy sing! A photo of the tiramisu is below. Enjoy this great neighborhood find!

Amran A.

Yelp
I used to come here all the time before Covid and I came today to enjoy a nice meal. The food was good until I saw a piece of meat that was still raw in the middle then I lost my appetite and couldn't finish my plate. They need to make sure that the meat is done before they serve it and make someone sick. Other than that the service was excellent and my waiter Mohamed was very nice and professional with me the whole time I was there.
google avatar

Lisa B.

Yelp
The food and service were absolutely wonderful! In spite of being a busy lunch spot, our food was delivered quickly and exactly as it should be. We loved it and will be back when we're in the area.

Oliver R.

Yelp
Disappointed. Didn't know they closed at 9:30 during the week. Food good as always. Cant go wrong with the sampler platter.
google avatar

Jonathan T.

Yelp
If you drive through Jackson, Aladdin will offer some decent eats. Not sure if I would get takeout from them, though, since they forgot parts of our order and seemingly skimped on portions. ***** The good: - Well-marinated, savory four-piece lamp. Their hummus ranks in the four-star territory. - Gyro meat = fantastic. I would eat theirs on the reg I don't particularly enjoy falafel, but theirs impressed me. Not so great: - Tiramisu seemed like half of a slice. And it looked unfortunate upon opening. - Probably the tiniest dolmas--grape leaves rolled and stuffed with rice, spices, and with or without beef--I've ever seemed. Smushed gyros and forgotten pita bread ***** I don't particularly like writing three-star reviews, especially during pandemic time. Still, for dropping $70 on a meal in Jackson, MS, I believe locals or yelpers driving through can find better value, service, and food at another restaurant.
google avatar

Todd S.

Yelp
Amazing food service and value!! This place was everything you want in a nice Mediterranean food spot. Pita and hummus was on point and spinach frittadas were delicious. Taziki sauce was super thick and tasty. It went well on my good gyro. We also had the kabab chicken and the shwarma chicken both tasted great. Dessert course was also really good! Even the wait staff was constant and keeping us happy. Will definitely come back when I'm visiting.
google avatar

Danny B.

Yelp
Update -- a triumphant return to Aladdin's indeed :-) Wife and I celebrated this Valentine's Day on the weekend beforehand. The restaurant was fully staffed and the place got back to being excellent! Check out the lamb chops, chicken schwarma and appetizer assortment...
google avatar

Monte K.

Yelp
Great place! The food is absolutely delicious. The people are great. The dining area is really cozy and comfortable.

Yelp
This is my favorite local Greek restaurant! I've been coming here for years! The food is always fresh and delicious! My favorite dish is the combo Kabob! You won't go wrong with this place.
