What an amazing experience! We have been to the Seattle, Bellevue and Olympia Children's museum and this definitely amongst the top 2. The museum is definitely little smaller in size which helped me understand the no stroller rule unless medically required. What my kid and I enjoyed the most were - water play area - train track with toy trains and actual working toy train set and the train whistle - marble room, wish there were more marbles for the kids to play - the model airplane and the cargo hauler And lastly, the open area in the roof which we didn't go due to the weather. - air ribbon flow or whatever that's called and seems to be common in all children's museum - writing with light! That was new for me as well! - clean restrooms with toilets and washbasin for the kids to use! We came in late so the paid parking was easy to get, will need to plan for future! And also probably about the membership!

This place is big! I was not expecting 3 stories, including an outside rooftop playground with multiple tube slides! This is far larger than KidsQuest (Bellevue), Seattle Children's Museum, or Kidimu (Bainbridge Island). It was very busy when we visited on a school break holiday weekday. There was a huge area for coat hanging and many strollers and wagons lining the wall in the entry lobby. I did not see lockers anywhere. Free on-street parking is 90 minutes. We set a timer and ment to move parking spots and return but my child was done at that point. Maybe we would have stayed longer on a quieter day. If you want to stay longer without keeping track of time, expect to pay $5 to $7 for up to around 4 hours parking in the lots closest to the building (one lot is general public weekends & evenings only). Wide range of activities on all floors and several side areas for quiet moments. The area with the trains and water play was the absolute loudest and most crowded. Take your earplugs if you are sensitive to sound and think about hanging on to a warm layer if your child will be drawn to the rooftop playground. Be warned: the exit is through the giftshop. Not past. Through.

Google
This is the largest and coolest children’s museum I have ever been to. My daughter loved every inch of it. We could have spent the entire day here. We can’t wait to go back.

Ashwin P.

Google
Very fun and engaging museum and activity center! Lots to do between two buildings and on top of all that there is a rooftop with a playground, mini golf, and a construction zone! Definitely coming back once my sons a little older 😉

Liza K.

Google
Wowww! Haven’t been to the museum since the remodel! It is so cool now! Plenty of hands on experiences for all different ages! Has rooms for three and under, but as long as you keep an eye out on your little, they have the whole place to explore. Three stories of activities, with a cafeteria on the top floor and food available to order! Has an outdoor area with even more things to do. Depending on your child’s energy levels, you could honestly be here all day without running into the “I’m bored” whine.

Beech C.

Google
My 10 and 8 year old had the most fun ! It’s very affordable, and an entire days worth of activities. Thankfully there is a parking garage near, as finding an available parking spot is difficult.

Angelika M.

Google
We love coming here. We come here 3 times a week. The staff is friendly, great toy/activity selection. Only equipment I would change is the outdoor wooden playground. There are certain spots where kids get their head banged on. Its hard to see and almost everytime I come here a kid gets their hand banged on.

Google
Awesome spot, Love the expansion they did a few years ago. Makes it even better for slightly older kids now too. Both my 5-year-old and 9-year-old love coming here. We are "early birds," so we got there about 10min before open, get a good parking spot for 4hrs, wrap up around 1230-ish. Then we love heading over to Brooklyn Bros. for a slice of pizza. Highly recommend, awesome to see them do well/expand.

Yelp
It's a cute spot for kids and I can see kids spending a couple hours here touching and playing with all the displays and things that they have. There's everything from waterworks to x-ray stuffed animals to running a train to walking through a giant treehouse and so much more. There is no parking designated for the spot so you'll have to find street parking in the area.

Yelp
We haven't been here for years. We used to take our toddler son and he loved it here, running around. So many interactive exhibits . This building is filled with floors where all children (and adults) can engage in a lot of useful knowledge while having fun. The water exhibit is fascinating. There are a lot of photo opportunities, like driving a bus, riding a tractor, boarding a plane, navigating a ferry and even milking a cow. Even more cool is that the exhibits that feature the Pacific Northwest, which highlights what are our region has to offer. But my favorite, just as what my toddler loved then are the wobbly rope bridges. Everyone can have fun here, for a whole day!
google avatar

Nayia R.

Yelp
Came here for a Yelp event. It was my first time here and it's such a cute place. I highly recommend it for families and children, they'd have a blast!
google avatar

Paolo B.

Yelp
Went here for a special yelp event a couple of weeks ago. No expectations with this place but 4 year old me would be screaming in joy to be in a place like this! So much for kids to be playing with and they will not be bored. I enjoyed a few of the activities for sure! I still can't make a proper paper plane, that's for sure.
google avatar

Babette C.

Yelp
Came here for an event called Camp Yelp and it was stellar. There were something g 20 vendors all dishing out food and it was amazing. But apart from that, what a cool place to visit! It reminds me of this place called the Exploratorium in San Francisco, with lots of science exhibits made for kids of all ages. They make science fun. My favorite exhibit was this box of kinetic sand with a light above it that was sensitive to how you formed it. If you build a mountainy structure, the light projects a volcano with lava coming out of it. Make a whole then it makes a lake. It was fascinating. They also have ramps to play with, loading cranes, and other things that you can spend a day on to help your kids to be curious. This is a must visit for parents whose kids have a penchant for STEm. For kids who don't, they'll still have a blast!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is BOSS! So educational and a fun place to spend with kids or just take a date! It's huge and you can spend hours learning, playing interactive games, etc. there are different floors to investigate so there's a LOT to do. Make a day of it!
google avatar

Yelp
Took my son here for the first time, he just turned 3. What a great Children's Museum!! He had a blast, it was hard for him to leave. It was a bit rainy out so we didn't he to play on the rooftop but we can't wait to go back!! Awesome experience!
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
Four floors of hands on fun for children of all ages. A days worth of learning adventure with a plethora of options and food.
google avatar

Danny S.

Yelp
All three kids had the absolute best time here, I thought we would spend maybe an hour and ended up spending half a day here exploring

Yelp
Imagine Children's Museum is hands down the best museum in Washington state - and the largest by far! Olympia is pretty impressive, but it's got nothing on Imagine (in the nicest way). My first visit was two years ago for my daughter's second birthday, and now it was my son's second birthday this past weekend and due to rainy weather, we had to cancel our zoo plans. While Everett is a deep drive, we decided to pivot and bring him here to celebrate, too! You can easily spend 2+ hours here, maybe even the whole day depending on your kids' ages. My son only lasted about two hours but if I brought my older two here they could easily play much longer! All of the interactive play is clean, updated, and well executed. My son loved the water area and the outdoor rooftop playground, too! We managed to get out there in between spurts of rain and it was a ton of fun. I personally love the second floor with the giant whale and the fun ocean exhibits! There's a soft toddler play area there as well as on the first floor. The third floor is where you can take your lunch break - there's plenty of seating for you to bring your own food and snack, or they have a cute food truck with simple lunch options and coffee. Overall we had a super fun time and we'll need to return this summer with all three kiddos to have a full day of play.

Yelp
Love this location. We have been here many times. My kids love the large airplane, train, tug boat and bus. It is always very clean and friendly here. This location is very big and easily will entertain your children for a long time and have them leaving happy. Lots of learning opportunities as well.

Yelp
My children enjoyed this museum so much. We happened to stop by on Tuesday without knowing that they have discounted tickets every Tuesday. If you have wic, ebt or state insurance they give you an additional discount. Im not sure how much since I didn't have any of the requirements. You must pay for 90min street parking or pay $5 por the parking lot behind the museum for a maximum of 3hours. You will find, animal, nature, water, theater, farm, aircraft, train, restaurant play spaces. Your child wont want to leave.
google avatar

Katarina W.

Yelp
We have been to a lot of different childrens museums all over. We live far from this one, but I will say, this is an amazing one. One of the absolute best ones we have ever been to. There was so much that it is almost overwhelming. When you first walk in, you see this giant tree climbing type of play structure. Each room has so many details and care, and it's incredible. They even had a stop motion section. They had a plane that you could go into, have the kids really feel like they are sitting in a real plane, etc. There's an outside area on the rooftop with a giant play structure, a dinosaur fossil site, and some musical stuff. A room where you can get snacks or eat food. Room after room after room with so many activities. I have a 3 year old and an 8 year old year, and a lot of the museums are too boring for my 8 year old, but this one actually had things that entertained her. This place is amazing, if you live close, you're lucky, if you live far, it's worth the drive. Definitely recommend this children's museum as it's one of the best.

Tesia L.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Everything is well taken cared of and I was surprised how clean everything was kept considering there were so many families and kids running around. It seemed that every section had an attendant or two and enough bathrooms to never have a line. The rooftop adventure area is so cool but gets VERY hot. Just know that strollers are not allowed inside unless medically necessary. They do lend front carriers for babies that you return at the end of your stay. Also no food or drinks allowed except in the cafeteria on the third floor.
google avatar

Marna K.

Yelp
This was a fabulous place with 2 levels of activities, an outdoor space and a separate eating area. We were there for several hours and only made it through one level. Such a diversity of experiences and engaging for kids and adults.
google avatar

Valerie R.

Yelp
So much things to do , my daughter really loved it. They even have a big ol outdoor playground and mini golf! Staff if super nice too
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing experience for kids!!! Went there for a 3 year old birthday party, and everyone had a super fun time!!!
google avatar

Melissa N.

Yelp
One of the best children' museum . I thought the hands on museum hqd a lot of activity's to do but when we went here it was endless activities three floors worth of. We loved visiting all of them very interactive and lots of sensory experiences for children for all ages to enjoy .
google avatar

Chelsea B.

Yelp
So much fun and plenty for kids to explore for a few hours. We especially loved the rooftop area.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
Such a terrific place for children!! You can easily spend at least 2.5 hours here. There are so many things to explore! Guaranteed for your kid to have an awesome time.
google avatar

Mike N.

Yelp
Great museum! They sure built it out well. I have taken my son to the children's museums in Tacoma, downtown Seattle, and Kids Quest in Bellevue and this one is by far the best. There is so much to say about this museum i'll have to sum up this review with key words and pictures! Here is a list of some of the things your child will experience and learn about: Wilderness, fishing, camping, big foot(for fun), construction, trains, an airplane, shipping and receiving industry, movie production, rooftop playground, dinosaur fossils, miniature golf, kinetic sand, woodshop work shop, painting and art room, cafe on third floor, water works with a water table and much more! There are a couple of things I missed in that list. The place is huge. My 2 year old had a blast with the whole museum. But if your hesitant with your kids age, there are two areas for kids under 3. One on the first floor, one on the second. Parking is good, but you gotta pay certain times and it's free other times. Note the sign where you park, it explains it. Have a good time!
google avatar

Andy A.

Yelp
This place is awesome for small kids. Lots to explore and activities to do. Great place to let kids run around and explore. No strollers allowed so you will need to baby ware if you have a small baby. They have lots of arts and crafts projects and interactive play. They have member only hours too and that helps cut down on the number of guests for an hour. Definitely would recommend checking this place out with small kids.
google avatar

Rebecca T.

Yelp
So much fun! And they accept EBT so you'll get a super discounted admission for up to 4. The imagination of children can run wild with so much to do! From stop-motion video the kids can play with to buses, planes, trains, veterinarian, farms, and more...the kids cannot only run wild but let their imagination go crazy! A wonderful experience and the whole family can play, too!
google avatar

Dazzle R.

Yelp
Tree house area is the raddest - for both kids and kids at heart alike! So creative, tons of options for creative play, and staff lead activities. The Wildlife Rescue activity has the coolest interactive stations, from x-ray machine that corresponds to the specific stuffed animal on the table, to a microscope with various slides to view. There's a catch and release fishing pond with enough details alone for a game of I-Spy. The original museum is still in tact too, so you really could spend a solid few hours here. Outside food is only allowed on the third floor outdoor playground area. Admission was a flat $22/pp, only 12 months and younger are free, a little pricey for caretakers, in my opinion. No cafe, not very many spots for grown ups to sit and rest - makes sense, they want you to actually stay with and watch your kids.

Darlina S.

Yelp
Imagine Children's Museum was AMAZING! Our grandkids were Hands-on with every adventurous exploration activity. Whomever designed this back-to-back organized fun-filled learning experiences must have children! ALL employees were sooo helpful, informative and just happy. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Long K.

Yelp
I'm impressed this huge museum space exists with a lot of variety of interactive exhibits. It definitely would be popular spot for rainy days to entertain any child. The roof top playground is huge and spacious which was arguably the best looking area. Weekdays are definitely the best and least crowded times. Parking is limited to barely any street parking that has time limit or a paid lot behind the building. $22/person for anyone over 1 year old is a bit steep. If you have young toddler that barely walks, it's not worth it full price. They do offer a 50% discount though for members of Bellevue KidsQuest so that was more reasonable, although I still don't agree a younger toddler should be charged the same rate as an adult.
google avatar

Yelp
This establishment discriminates against children with disabilities. I took my niece who is mild-severe autistic came all the way from Idaho. Being an autistic child she has a cognitive ability of a 5-6 year old although she is older than 12. They do not let children 12 or older in even with a parent. Nothing on the main page of their website on this policy. They denied her entry even when I explained the situation and they could see her disability. She was heartbroken not understanding why other children were allowed in but not her. I can understand they not wanting to mix big kids and little ones but there is absolutely no consideration with individual situations such as disabilities. I will be filing a Disabilities Rights violation with the WA State Human Rights Commission.

Yelp
Learning through play happens easily at Imagine Children's Museum. The water table and stage are a favorite. We love the aquarium and the rooftop play area. Good weather or bad, our family loves ICM!
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
Daaaang this place is amazing! I had been hearing from other parents how great this spot was but frankly didn't want to make the journey to Everett. I'm so glad we finally did (and regret we haven't done it sooner). They've thought of everything. It's HUGE! With multiple levels and each experience is incredibly well thought out and detailed. Some kids will love the calm areas for building structures or putting on a play. Others will love the non stop action of the tree house ropes course. Then they can transition to a play campfire, a veterinarian clinic with an Xray machine, a water area, a cinema, upstairs playground, dinosaur dig - not enough space to name everything!!! Food and drinks are only allowed on the top level cafeteria. Bring your own or buy from the limited selection they have (think Uncrustables, hotdogs, Mac n cheese, grab sandwiches etc). They do have drip coffee for parents but not much else. It's expensive and depending in where you are might not be convenient but it's hands down the best kids museum / kids activity we've done in 7 years in the area. Could easily spend the whole day here! It's great!
google avatar

Jen R.

Yelp
One of the coolest places for kids. Your children are absolutely gonna love this place. It has creative puzzles things to do places to see different things to touch and fill and fun materials for all ages. I caught myself wanting to play with some other things. This museum has it all and it is absolutely the coolest place, if you need somewhere to go take your kids where they learn things things and know things try this museum. You won't be disappointed. It doesn't cost much. They have great services there for children and their employees are absolutely wonderful. We learned so many different things and had so much fun. I would take my grandchildren there over and over again.

Debera D.

Yelp
My grandson's favorite place!! He loves all the various sections! He particularly loves the water and trains section.
google avatar

Natalie G.

Yelp
I am so happy I made the drive to this amazing museum! The kids had so much fun! This place is huge and we spent the entire day exploring all the exhibits. The museum was clean and well taken care off. Exhibits were reset regularly and cleaned. My favorite was the giant inside treehouse with all the rope bridges and rooms to explore it was very impressive. The food options are slim at the food court and some of the items were expired. I would suggest bringing your own food (which is allowed).
google avatar

Chandra P.

Yelp
I've seen this museum several times and finally decided to purchase tickets to take my toddlers; I'm so happy I did!! Within 20 minutes my husband and I were talking about becoming members. This museum is exactly what's needed for any parents with children under the age of 5. It's really rare to find a place that both of children can enjoy simultaneously, my 3 and 1 yr old equally enjoyed themselves. We only made it through the first floor, but are already planning our next visit later this weeks since we our members! I'm really looking forward to the sensory classes for my youngest and the continued exploration my 3 year old will be able to do during our next visits. The expansion upon the museum is almost complete yielding even more adventurous activities. If you're seeking a full day of continuous activities for your little ones Imagine Children's Museum is it; I highly recommend!!
google avatar

Nina H.

Yelp
I've come here a few times with my daughter and it's always a fun time! During the summer, their rooftop play area is amaaaazing! It's huge and has a variety of activities for the kids to explore and play in: dinosaur area, musical instruments and large slides and play structures. In the museum area, we've enjoyed the water area, plane, and the ball gravity activity (no idea what the name is). Only down side is that they don't sell food and you can't eat upstairs, oh and street parking is only 2 hours. Either way, it's a fun time and great way to kill time when the weather sucks. I even signed up for an annual membership so we will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Imagine Children's Museum is a great place for kids to learn by free and guided play. They have huge space distributed in 3 levels with a lot of exhibits and play stations. They have something for kids at every age group. Young kids will surely enjoy the ground floor - that's were they have more age appropriate play structures available. Second floor is more suited for bigger kids - the attractions give more scientific aspect to various machines in the real world. They have an open terrace play structure. Suited for kids from different age groups. They have maintained this place so well. There were sanitizing stations everywhere, bathrooms are clean and the play stations are well maintained. No crowd management is there though. Sometimes kids have yo wait for a very long time to get a turn and young kids get easily irritated with that. They charge $22 for age 1 and above. Felt that's a little too expensive. Though they have membership options, for a one time visitor, it's a little too much. And don't think you can spend more than 3-4 hrs there. That's the only negative about this place.
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Clean and totally amazing for my 3 and 5 year old grandchildren SO much fun. So much interaction Water room, train room , outdoor space, fishing , acting, laundry/ironing and my 3 year old grandson LOVED the clear suction tube with the scarf- he would have done it for 30 min !!! It is expensive but I will go again and it is a 30 min drive for me.
google avatar

Lynda P.

Yelp
fun me and my family loved it my fav was the tube with scarfs so so so fun and the servize was fantastic great
google avatar

Mya W.

Yelp
My 4 year old loves it here and so do we . I drive 45 mins plus each way and she's totally fine with it when going there ... I think that says everything

Tiffany H.

Yelp
My goodness guys this place is absolutely incredible! We could be here for hours and hours and still not run out of things to do. On this particular day my son only wanted to do the wood workshop area and each session is only 15 minutes, so my son wanted to keep going to the class to finish his robot and the wonderful miss leah was so awesome and considerate. She held his wood that he already had been working on to the side so we could come to the class to finish and as if that wasn't enough she even helped us cut wood and make it. She was so kind and considerate, it took our already incredible visit to the next level. Shes an absolute gem and we look forward to our next trip!
google avatar

Katie T.

Yelp
We stopped at the Imagine Children's Museum yesterday and my son had the best time (and honestly, so did I)! So many fun things to do. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Angeline C.

Yelp
My toddler had a great time at this museum. I suggest to arrive right when they open because it was empty on a Saturday morning and we had a few hours with only a few people around. The new expansion area was beautiful! I couldn't stop looking around, so many beautiful details about this place. My toddler's favorite areas were the water area & "restaurant" area. They also have a huge, cool outdoor playground on the 2nd floor. I just wish my toddler could do more, she's only 2. Maybe we'll return in a few years. Definitely recommend a visit!

Manmir A.

Yelp
A great place for kids. Purchased a family fun pass so both named parents can attend with child. Plenty to do here, 2 levels with an outside level as well. Educational aspects have also been added. Restrooms onsite. Toy shop onsite. Benches around the museum for seating. Adult supervision recommended as slippery areas, various choking hazards, fall hazards, water hazards, stairs and trip hazards.

Zhanna L.

Yelp
Such a fun place for kids and adult to learn about the Seattle area. Very interactive, fun detailed activities for kids and it was clean. They also, have a gift shop to purchase title gifts and they have an outdoor park that is connected to the upstairs. A definite go to place for a rainy day.
google avatar

AnnaQ C.

Yelp
My 2 year old enjoys playing here and we will surely come again. It's large and full of stuff to explore. Tree house with ropes pathways are amazing and even adults can walk through them. Water play section. Bus, airplane, tractor and train stations. Animal farm, laundry, Italian restaurant. All kinds of pretend to play. Also art studios and other rooms that we could fit in our 2 hour schedule. A cafe upstairs to have some light snacks. The price is a bit high, $22 per person who are older than 1 year. Many other children museum membership can have 25% off. So two parents and a kid with other membership will be $49.5. A little bit far from Seattle or the east side, especially if you live relatively south.
google avatar

Van N.

Yelp
The $22 pp cost would be worth it depending on the age of the child. Huge space with a lot of different exhibits to explore which is great, but my 2 year old son really just cared for like 3 of them. We went on a Saturday and it was very very very busy and kids crying over toys. A bit of a headache. I would prefer to just go to Kids Quest in Bellevue and pay $14 and get the same amount of play for my son with less of a crowd.
google avatar

Ed S.

Yelp
I've been to a number of Children's Museums and this one is really great! It is recently expanded with full two floors of exhibits along with a third floor that is a meeting eating area they also have an outside play area your child will easily want to spend two to three hours here the first time you come. They have a water area, trains, art, movie making, an airplane, music, aquarium, games, drawing, a workshop and more. The annual memberships are well worth the price we've been a number of times and I highly recommend it.
google avatar

Baljinder G.

Yelp
10/10! We got a membership for my 1 year old in March. Since then we have been coming maybe twice a month and he is 18 Months now and I can see how much he has learned from Imagine Childrens Museum. I wish I had more pictures to share, but every part of the museum gives kids exposure to something "real life". My son goes to the "pig pen" and feeds the pigs bottles and puts the bottles away so gently (for a one year old watching this visit after visit was so cool because first visit he was so confused). They remodeled and expanded in August and my membership is so much more worth it now! They have such a realistic campfire area to roast marshmallows and hot dogs. I just enjoy going and seeing my son interact with other kids and see him share and help kids. This place is also so clean and there is always staff members all over the place to monitor and be available.
google avatar

Inna R.

Yelp
The space is big , very clean and well staffed. I bought tickets online for the 11am time slot on a Saturday and it was pretty packed. Most of the area requires the parents to be near their kids but many kids were unattended. They have a nice downstairs area where you can eat snacks and drink, they don't have any food you can purchase though. I want to try this place again on a weekday, but overall a nice play to the take the kiddos on a rainy day.
