"If you are looking to drink impeccable coffee while enjoying some people-watching, Bills is the ultimate Sydney pit stop. A small empire spanning three Sydney neighborhoods and a growing clutch of international locations, it's the place to head to for a leisurely late breakfast or brunch. Be sure to order the famous ricotta hotcakes served with banana and honeycomb butter—or if you're feeling savory, the sweet-corn fritters with avocado and roasted tomato are hard to beat."

The restaurant is beautiful but was underwhelmed by the service and the food. Ordered their famous pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancake is ok but I was expecting much fluffier texture. The honeycomb butter is good but the bacon was very average similar to ones you get at a cheaper cafe. The coffee was nice and smooth. They are extremely busy especially during brunch and lunch time, so prepare to wait in line.

Bills in Surry Hills is still bloody excellent. Had the avocado on sourdough and a double espresso this morning. Toast was perfectly crunchy, avocado spot on (not brown, not hard, just creamy perfection), drizzled with really good olive oil and a pinch of sea salt. Simple but done better than anywhere else. Coffee was strong, smooth, no bitterness – exactly what I needed. The place was nice and quiet for once, grabbed a little table out on the street and just watched Surry Hills wake up. Sun was out, vibe was perfect. Not the cheapest brekkie in Sydney, but worth it every time. Still my favourite spot after all these years. Already looking forward to next visit. 🥑☕

We were recommended this place, and honestly, I cannot understand why. I ordered the avo toast ($21) with an added egg ($4.40). It came out as a single piece of toast that was burnt on both the top and bottom. The moment you took a bite, all you could taste was burnt toast completely overpowering everything else. We also ordered the Sweet Corn Fritters ($29.50). They were fine in texture, but had no flavour. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience and so over priced.

Had a great brekkie at Bills Surry Hills. I got the ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon—so good! The pancakes were super fluffy (as we all know) and the bacon was crispy, just how I like it. Coffee was great too. My friend got the corn fritters which was so good as well! There was a bit of a queue when I got there, but it moved quickly (rare occasion on Saturday morning) and the staff were really friendly and on top of things. Definitely a spot I’d go back to.

Their famous hot cakes are certainly worth the trek! They were 🙌 the avo toast was also great, not as impressive but certainly up there. Everyone in the staff were super friendly, the venue is really nice - however I think the outdoor can use a little bit more attention to details.

Ordered 2 coffe and 2 ricotta pancake. The coffe arrived within 5 minutes but the pancake took 30m to arrive , quiete long time considering only few people ordered. Beside the waiting time the pancake are absolutely delicious, the place is expensive but its worth the money if you want to try delicious pancake.

Yeah it’s alright. Really nice food and a great spot for brunch if you can get a seat, but not sure if it’s worth the price. Didn’t expect it to have a slight Asian-fusion vibe (kimchi cheese sandwich, Korean fried chicken, etc). Ricotta pancakes are nice, $33 is steep though. A lot of cocktail options as well.

$90 for 2 breakfast items and 2 drinks should actually be criminal. The fact that the hotcakes 4 years ago were close to $21 and now are $32.50 is insane, I understand the cost of living crisis but it’s not that extreme. Cons: The iced coffee comes In a tiny glass, the price is a joke, no heaters outside, and the staff aren’t the best and seem quite confused at times. Poor service I’d say. Tiny portion of maple syrup for 3 pancakes? The banana given with pancakes was rock hard & not ripe, the bread was hard as rocks. Pros: the food was delicious (not worth the price though), the miso caramel shake was the highlight, lots of dogs walking by making the atmosphere good. Overall it’s not worth the price, but the food was nice.
