This was the reason I wanted to go to the stockyards and I am 100% happy I got to see them. They are beautiful!
We made it to the 11:30 showing on a Tuesday. Upon arriving around 11, we parked fairly close. We walked through some of the shops, then made our way to the roadside at the beginning of the drive. The announcer was very clear and loud. Obviously people don’t listen or did not understand.
Anyway, the longhorns come down, walk through in about 7-10 min, if that. There was not too many, but it’s not like they do tricks or anything. lol. I was content with the amount.
I was grateful to be able to see them in the viewing area too. To watch them maneuver around with the long horns is amazing. They are aware of the length and avoid hitting posts or one another.
If parking wasn’t so costly, I probably could have sat and watched them longer.
