Great Food! Had the Barbacoa burrito. Mostly meat and cheese. Very tasty. Also tried the red and green sauce. The green sauce is very good! Service was friendly and helpful. Good Prices

We travel all over the country for events. Two weeks ago we ended up in Tyler, Texas. None of the local food looked good. This place looked decent so we thought we would try it. Food was good, the person taking our order was helpful and we were served food quickly. We will be back. If you like Mexican food and live in the area, go try this place. If you are driving through and get hungry, stop here.

I was heading back from Arkansas and I realized I was gonna be getting into Tyler a bit late. It was a 6 hour drive and I hadn’t stopped for food the entire time. As I was coming down 271, getting ready to hop on the loop, I remembered seeing a post for the Ruby’s Food Truck. I figured I would give it a shot, seeing as I’ve never ate from the food truck itself. I ended up ordering what is now my new favorite thing from Ruby’s. It’s called Alambre. It’s steak, pastor, red and green bell peppers, onion, and pineapple. I’m weird, so I ordered mine with just meat and cheese. I also got flour tortillas. Go cry about it🤷🏼‍♂️. It came with a slice of avocado, some limes, and a red and green sauce. Now here’s the part that really took it over the top. I ordered some of their elote en vaso (corn in a cup) and added that to each taco😍. The flavor was absolutely insane. Also, the picture of the corn is after I mixed it up and took a few bites lol. My oldest son was still up and I made him a couple of tacos. He said it was also his new favorite thing from Ruby’s as well. Y’all have got to try it. I’m not sure if the alambre is a truck only thing.

The style of Mexican food was very different than we are used to. There was no salsa. They had 2 types of hot sauce. The food seemed dry and pre-cooked. We should have had the pozole. It looked delicious.

Uodate. This little cozy restaurant deserves 5 stars and more. I am super delighted. The food is nothing but the best and it's very creative, flavor is good, color and texture of food is excellent. I give this place the WOW factor! Amazing rich flavory food! Nothing but the best!

Ruby’s is always outstanding. This location is our favorite, there is always something about it that is just a little better! The birra tacos are a must order, best in town. Flautas are also awesome. Highly recommend!

California daughter and I tried Ruby's for the first time. Definitely short on ambience, but who cares! Both red sauce enchiladas and green were outstanding, each comes with s chicken leg! Short on drinks and ice. Food is everything here. I'll be back soon. This location was close to the hospital district.

I did not find the food tasty. And my husband commented the rice was bitter. How does that happen? Compared to so many other Mexican and Tex-Mex, I just don't feel this one deserves my patronage.

Get this, the chicken flautas come with a chicken leg! The chicken leg tasted grilled and fried at the same time and it was delicious.. I wanted another one.. If you've never been here, please come! You will regret it!

Good food, but bad customer service. The older lady is very nice. Young women don't know how to smile or say thank you. I am paying, you are not making me a favor.

Great, great great food (at least what I ordered). I ordered the verde enchiladas. My dish was nice and spicy with slices of avocado, onions, and tomato. It's a hole-in-the-wall, but I was there for the food. The mango "fresh water" had chunks of mango on in on the bottom! Fresh ingredients.

Stop over in Tyler,TX and give this place a try. My wife and I love dives...! This dive has some very delicious food. I'm not a Mexican food eater, but this was authentic...! I will truly return and try some other dishes...!

I love Ruby's. It's more like authentic Mexican which I like most of time I crave for one. I love their Aguas Frescas. They have friendly staff as well. Good service and food.

i tried one of your horchata and I got sick it was way to sweet I think Im drink poisoned 5 sips and I was light headed had a headache nausea and sickness don't EVER go near Here

Been reading about this restaurant online since we moved into town, plus so family members have recommended it so we decided to try it out today. Honestly, I don't know what the big deal is because the food was mediocre at best and definitely way overpriced. I had their number one which is supposedly their biggest seller. Decided on shredded beef as the taco filling. Since I have a food allergy, I made sure that this was something I could eat and was told that it would be safe. Upon receiving the food I noticed the consumé had a very strong smell that I recognized I was allergic to you. One thing I cannot stand is a restaurant that will literally lie to you just to sell some food. Luckily, I am one of those people that take my food allergy extremely seriously and always ask questions. Unfortunately I was lied to and was unable to enjoy my meal. Also ordered was the chicken taquito plate. This came with five little old taquitos, a half a head of cabbage on top of that and a chicken drumstick. Again overpriced for the amount of food that was given. This was kind of child approved but knowing my child I know she just ate it because she was hungry. The third meal ordered was a combination of two very tiny enchiladas and two or three potato tacos Plus another random chicken leg. Again, very overpriced for the amount of food given. My husband ordered this. He said it was okay but we both agreed we would not be going back to this restaurant in the near future.

First time visit. Colorful atmosphere. Order at register.,ordered with my guest recommended. Plenty of food. Traditional Mexican food. Prices were fair. Enough parking. Only thing is they never checked in on us.

Shit service employee caught a attitude because they put something my wife was allergic to on the tacos and told my wife to still eat them don't eat here go to Tapatio's or El Lugar for better food and better service

Stopped by this morning for a breakfast burrito; I usually don't eat breakfast but I knew this would be a long day. I ordered one with egg, chorizo, beans, and cheese. When my order was ready, I got it and went to my office to eat. I was surprised...no I was frightened, when I opened the box. This gigantic burrito was in front of me, daring me to eat it. I was curious to the weight of this massive behemoth, so I used the scales for outgoing packages and mail and this puppy registered 2.1 lbs. and 8 inches long. I've never seen one this size (that's what she said ). It took me about 10 minutes to devour it during a conference call, but I finished it off. Best thing was that it only cost $7.85 with tax. Most can't eat something so large, so I suggest if you're a tiny portion eater, split it with a friend. Either way, this breakfast burrito can't be beat. Well done Ruby's...well done.

So glad we found this place! The food is awesome ~ drinks too! Hubby & I both got peach lemonade. So great! I got the #11 Lupe's Plate; red enchiladas, charro beans, rice & a chicken leg! I have never gotten a chicken leg before but it was very juicy. Loved all that I got. The corn in a cup was SO GOOD! Hubby got the steak nachos and they were heavenly. We will be back! 10/10

Legit Mexican food... you'll be able to tell as soon as you walk in The Deblados (spelling?) with the barbacoa is my favorite but the potatoe tacos are awesome too

Wow! Is all I can say! My husband and I were on our journey back home and I was craving some type of Mexican food. I always go to the yelp app when traveling and I found this place with excellent reviews, as well as other places in the area, but for some reason I picked this place and so glad I did! It's a small restaurant but we were seated right away. It was very busy when we were there but I noticed most people were getting it to-go. We ordered the Maria sampler which consisted of guacamole, chorizo queso and queso. All were excellent! One was a little spicy but can't remember which one. It wasn't overly spicy though. My husband ordered the green enchiladas with chicken and I ordered the doblados with chicken on corn tortillas ( you can choose whatever meat and you would like, and if you want and flour or corn tortillas for each meal). For my drink I got the dragon fruit and he ordered the strawberry lemonade, so so good! Not only was all the food great and delivered to our table within 5-8 minutes, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Authentic Mexican food! If you are wanting a friendly place to get good fresh food, Ruby's is the place. The Horchatas are cool and refreshing. We had the strawberry lemonade and it was excellent. The chips, queso, guacamole and chorizo is the best. We had a chicken quesadilla that was huge and tasted great. We also had cheese enchiladas that came with rice and beans. It all was good, but I think my favorite were the beans. Flavor to the Max !! Like I said earlier, if you want good fresh authentic Mexican food, with friendly folks , you have found your place. If you are looking for good authentic Mexican food, this is the place. Inside is very small and not much room. They do have a nice size outdoor seating area though. One can always make a fair judgement of a place by how busy the restaurant is and who the customers are. Ruby's was VERY busy. The customers were of all ethic groups, and a range of relax Sunday lazy day customers to after church goers. As busy as this place was, it did not lack in customer service. Very friendly staff. Everything seemed fresh and homemade. Everything tasted great. For me, the spice heat was perfect, mild to medium. Although if like more heat, you maybe be able ask or just add sauce. I absolutely loved that they offered Sopas on the menu, and yes, I did order them and enjoyed them. I definitely recommend Ruby's.

Food is always amazing!! One of our favorites! We love their waters - mango is our choice. The tacos are wonderful.

Sweet Baby Jesus!!! It was so delicious that we were already trying to figure out when we can make another trip to Tyler & come back here to eat. #1 Birria Taco plate $10.25 has 4 tacos. They were so stuffed w/meat I had to take some out so I could dip into the delicious Birria consume. The patio looks delightful for Springtime outdoor dining & it's BYOB. Will definitely be back & tell all my friends about this little hidden gem

So much beyyer now that they have been open a while. We tried eating there again, and the service was fantastic and friendly. The doblados beef barbacoa tacos were delicious. Nice for a fun atmosphere with the fam

My job had rubys catered months back, it was really good so decided to try it out myself (first time) . The doblados were really good, I would say priced correctly. I did have to order rice and beans separate for an additional charge which came out to 10$ extra dollars for a very tiny portion. The rice and beans were also cold, not even warm. The beans were absolutely not fresh and extremely dried out. I could not eat the rice or beans and usually cannot stand to waste food. This was unfortunate. I either had a watermelon or strawberry drink that was great. I would come again and also try other items. $25 before tip for one meal.

Best authentic Mexican food in Tyler hands down. Know what to get and it's well worth it. Weekly stop for sure.

Everything was good. I had tacos Al pastor & they were delicious!! The green salsa was spicy! It was soooo good!! The service was very friendly, checked on me about five times while I was there. Music was on, but not too loud. I will definitely visit again!

Food was excellent! We tried the refried beans, charro beans, rice, enchiladas suizas and birria tacos. Everything was excellent. I'm big on rice and beans, if those aren't good, nothing else will be great. Ruby's has the best beans and rice I have found outside of San Diego, Ca. It's a small restaurant but absolutely amazing. Loved everything.

The doblados were delicious. Flavorful and a good portion for the price. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere great for casual hangouts. There's also an outdoor seating area. Service was friendly too. Hope to come again sometime.

We LOVED the food here. We ate the Flautas and Quesadillas. I don't even like quesadillas but I took a bite of my husband's and it was delicious. Authentic Mexican food is served here. The horchata and mango drinks are really good! We ate on the cute patio. We will definitely return and we highly recommend this place.

Ok food. My family loves this place. I'm not a fan. I asked for rice instead of consume but waiter just said a sharp "no". I've been here about 5 times and have never had an employee check on us at our table. More like self serve. And chips with salsa - nope

Their tacos are awesome .... Any meat they are all wonderful - we bring Ruby's Tacos in the office once a month and this is the guarantee everyone comes to the office that day!!

I liked it the first time i tried it but the second time i went my chicken legs that came with enchiladas where hard and the menudo and pozole didn't have the same taste it had the first time i was so disappointed

Love the tacos here. Order from them once a week ,But recently there's been less meat and sometimes not as much onions cilantro

This place was all abuzz on a Sunday evening, with a line to order at the counter. Then you have a choice to eat inside or outside on the patio. The Mexican Fresca drinks (horchata and others) were very popular. The somewhat limited menu is on the wall, so you can study it while you wait. We chose number 1, which was labeled "most popular" (roast beef with cheese tacos) and also ordered a bowl of posole. Believe me, these folks know how to cook. Very unusual menu, but it tasted as though it were cooked in a grandmother's kitchen. Magnifico! I want to try everything on the menu!

Awesome quick service. Legit flavors and food quality. Friendly fun delicious. Do it!!!!! I can't wait to try more items. Shrimp cocktail was excellent and the Barbacoa dobladas/ birria style tacos were fantastic. Great house made agua fresca selection too. I'm going back next time I'm in the area. Or maybe just to get more food. You won't regret it if you want something outside of the typical Tex Mex offerings.

My food was amazing as always! The customer service is GREAT and they are always happy to see their customers. I get the doblados and they truly never disappoint, always fresh, hot and I never have to wait over 10 minutes to receive my order (I always dine in)! They have the yummiest aqua frescas, the flavors are all pretty good-depending on what you like, I got the horchata and it was delicious. Ruby's is always a 10/10 for me! Love the doblados specially the shrimp ones although all of them are good and the aguas frescas have great flavor. Also even when they are full they take get tour order out quick and fresh!

This place is fantastic. The food is so fresh, and the staff is the friendliest. No beer and wine, but I didn't care: this family establishment serves up love. Their motto should me "hecho con amor". Next time in Tyler Tx, I'm stopping here.
