Alabama Contemporary Art Center

A beautiful transformative location for your modern wedding or celebration! The staff is super helpful and the venue is very spacious! And bonus your guest can look at all the art during your cocktail hour! Great event space, high recommend!!! 👍🏽👍🏽

Visited on 07/02/21 and really enjoyed the exhibits, especially the Distance exhibit which was interactive. This museum is located in downtown and we had a great day exploring the museum and then shopping and eating downtown. I look forward to visiting again in five years or so, this downtown area has lots of potential.

Interesting and eclectic collection with thought provoking pieces. Some interesting social statements. Didn't agree with some, but they were well presented and showed the artists' intense feelings on the subject matter. And being of a libertarian bent, I appreciated the visual statement of the point of view. There is some nudity in the adult section; however it is not gratuitous. Those familiar the nudity with more classical art will be comfortable. Typical of contemporary art, there was a fair variety of media used. Got a chance to speak with the executive director. A very interesting woman. Admission is a donation in the amount you choose. Worth a side trip if you are downtown. And take a few minutes to enjoy the Moblobz mural on the building exterior. A fun and fanciful work.

What a gem in the heart of downtown Mobile! Really great art space and community oriented events hosted here. Will come back!

The Alabama Contemporary Art Center Is a big place fully of expositions and cultural activities. Check their calendar there are a lot of options, and is open from 11am to 5 pm.

It's a shame the gallery wasn't able to keep their doors open. This was a great art space and venue before new management took over.

I attended a wedding reception here and this place is super cool. The vibe of the Art Center is fitting for different events. Awesome venue for a wedding reception. My cousin and her husband had a live band, etc. (They had everything) Everyone had a ball. I didn't take pictures of the art, will definitely be going back. Perfect venue, and a very nice Art Center.

What an amazing space and great organization. We saw they had a Havana exhibit and since we just recently traveled to Cuba, we we're excited to see it. But they were closed for Good Friday...oh, no! But we got the attention of Elizabeth, who just happened to be at the office and she was nice enough to give us a quick run down. We really appreciated her kindness. It was a great exhibit of a diverse collection of Cuban art. It is a great thing the organization is doing.
