Jade Lowell Restaurant

Our first and last vist yesterday. Tucked below ground in the basement of an old mill building you won't believe your GPS when it announces "arrived." Quickly seated our waiter was all smiles as he asked if we wanted drinks, upon our declining the smile faded. The menu was more for Japanese food yet the restaurant's name is "Jade"...a gem prized and associated with Chinese. Their website states, "Where Asian Traditions Meet Modern Elegance In The Heart Of Lowell" It goes on to mention a fusion, which is accurate...this restaurant is a cross between a sports bar and an Asian restaurant. The sports bar fills the center of the dining room and as expected appears to be a local watering hole for the Townies. In addition there is progressive dance music as loud as the conversations. (Read modern disco) We were a bit rushed to order, to their credit the appetizers came fast, although not together. The fried garden roll was typical, ok. The seaweed salad, ok. After about 10 minutes my wife's dish came, but not mine. After a long wait and filling up on fried rice and such I walked to the counter to cancel my dish which appeared to be forgotten...at that time the waiter arrived with it and I accepted the late food...a few mins into the dish and he came over to interrupt saying he had warned it was av20 minute dish as it was fried. No, we were not warned, that was a lie. Not worth the wait the sesame beef tasted of too much vinegar and over the disco music I imagined hearing, "what do you want for nothing? Rrrrrrubbber biscuit??" The beef was like a Charleston Chew, endless biting to swallow. I'm not fussy, I like MREs...this was NOT good food, I don't care who wrote the glowing reviews, this place sucks. We got out of there as quickly as possible, total damage? $87.54 for two, 15% tip I included out of kindness. That's $45.00 per head. There are so many better less expensive restaurants in the area. The final insult was to demand payment via QR code...which takes you to a website that requires your email address and FORCES you to opt in for marketing 3rd party spam. My advice? Ignore the positive reviews here, I have no idea if they are real....trust me, this one is. Keep walking my brother, sister.

The food and atmosphere was excellent. I would definitely recommend. The drinks are made perfectly.

I really like this place. The space is modern, but comfortable. Service is polite and fast. They are very straight to the point, making it great if you're tired looking for a hot meal. Most importantly, this is very good fusion, plus they have very affordable drinks (possibly best price per quality in the Merrimack Valley). I hope Jade keeps killing it!

Jade Lowell is consistently delicious and one of our go‑to spots when we want great food without the heaviness. The lo mein is absolutely amazing, perfectly seasoned, full of flavor, and never greasy. Every dish tastes fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. Friendly service, generous portions, and reliable quality make Jade an easy favorite.

This is my second time here and just like my first this visit was positive experience. Very classy / modern vibe here. The food has always been better than just good¡¡¡ The service is relatively quick even on a large order not to mention the server was very kind & friendly.. I recommend Jade lowell to anyone in search of great dining experience. They do offer a full bar as well.

Got a large takeout order for a family party. I ordered online. Whole order was correct. Staff helped me out to the car with order.Food was done on time. Everyone loved the food!! Fresh and hot and delicious. We are Chinese food snobs too. We were not disappointed! I highly recommend them!!

We are new to the area and werent sure where to order our Christmas Eve dinner, and after some research landed on Jade Lowell. It was wonderful! We pre-ordered and it was delivered right on time, the order was correct, the driver was friendly and the food was delicious. We have found our new chinese food spot!

This place is awesome. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and impeccably clean. We went twice and sat at the bar. Bartender is pro level. Great array of cocktails. House liquors are high end yet the prices are actually very low for the quality ingredients. Lychee martini, pineapple cocktail, lemon drop - all were perfectly made and delicious. We shared scallion pancakes, dumplings and house noodles. Everything was fresh and delicious. I haven’t tried the sushi but I see they have a big area for it. Looking forward to checking out their patio in warmer weather. The pictures don’t do the food justice. I am so happy to have such a high quality restaurant in Lowell.

I've tried take out which was good but very pricey if you are feeding more than 4 adults- since everything is individual instead of combinations. But dine in experience was the best. Food came out quick, hot and fresh. Everything was delicious!! No complaints. My picky 4yo even ate which says a lot. Scorpion bowl actually hit too

ordered food online email confirmation saying be there by 7:00 4 1/2 hrs later. no food. not answering the phone and at 10:pm they cancelled the order. I feel bad for the door dash girl that was updating us on the status. poor thing never got paid or our tip because this place can handle the workload. never ever again.

Delicious Chinese Food! This is my go-to spot now as their food isn't super greasy. I love their Singapore Noodles with shrimp, they don't skimp on their protein! Their general gau's chicken is made with real, delicious chunks of battered chicken in a decadent sauce. It's not too heavily battered where there is 50% batter and 50% chicken, that leaves you with an uncomfortable feeling afterward. You can't go wrong with ordering this. They also have lunch specials which you can get a bento box with General Gau's chicken, rice, some sushi and an appetizer of your choice for $16. Great deal! Service is always great.

I never knew this spot opened until I passed by one night. So we decided to try it out tonight since we were craving Chinese. Parking is small for the Thorndike Exchange, considering there's them and a cafe as well, which we want to try in the morning. When we walked it, it was packed and it was like 7PM. We decided to sit at the sushi bar, which was not bad. The servers are always making sure you've been helped, love that. We decided to order beef chow foon, fried calamari, and the torched salmon wrap. Because we were at the sushi bar, the torched salmon wrap came out first in like 5 mins, maybe 3. This is my first time trying actual restaurant sushi after avoiding it for 10 years, because Market Basket sushi scarred me. And I was very surprised at the taste and texture. The taste was sweet, tangy, and a little spicy. I liked the crab pieces in the middle. Each piece was like bigger than a jumbo marshmallow, so I could only eat one piece. Safe to say, I think I might start opening my palate to sushi now. The calamari, compared to my favorite China Star, was not crispy at all. The flavor, I could only taste the spice and not the salt. It was alright, but I finished it because it was still good. The chow fun is not as flavorful as khmer meekathung, but it definitely has more flavor than Wah Sang's. And I like that the noodles are coated with a bit of oil so it's not so stuck to each other. Over all, I think this place is ok to sip and nibble and chat with your friends at night.

Great food and environment for a reasonable price. Highly recommended. Our favorites are bento box lunches.

Garbage. Unless you're going for liquor, keno, and/or sports on tvs. Food sucked majorly and I mean majorly. Edit: owner says it's not his, not surprised, but I have receipts and bank deductions as this was a business trip and I like reimbursement. If the shoe fits, wear it.

Delicious, divine, and everything in between!! A tasteful experience for this new restaurant right next to the train station; extremely worth the visit for some good Chinese and Japanese food. We tried a couple of sushi rolls and their sauteed udon, which were all really good. Very clean restaurant and the owners are very friendly! Food was quick and we'll definitely be back.

Food is 10/10. Service is excellent and the overall ambience is great. The bar is huge with 20 beers on tab and a great cocktails and wine on the menu. This was my second time and there will be more.

This is our go to Chinese food place in Lowell. Sushi is fresh lots of options. We really like the moo shu pork. Hot and sour soup is good too as well as the Mai Tais.

Great service - above and beyond. Ordering for vegan dining and everyone was accommodating. Service on time for pick up.

Stopped in for a quick lunch here with my foodie kid. Yummy and affordable bento box with more food than I anticipated, including a couple of sushi bites! I'm not personally a sushi girl but my husband ate my portion and pronounced them "tasty." Fun ambiance - lots of little booths and bar seats and neon lighting. Host and waitstaff were super nice, food was quick and hot and tasty.

Great spot for a quick lunch! Their French cake maki was fresh and refreshing. Great flavors wrap in a single bite. Friendly safe with easy pay service right at your table. Chic decor with a bar in the middle.

Very good food, service, cleanliness and atmosphere. Bartender Matin was friendly and attentive.

I have two parts to my review. PART ONE. THE DISCOVERY. I met with some friends at Jade Lowell for the first time for sushi and drinks a while ago. I was blown away by the ambiance once I walked in. We don't have places like this in Lowell. It felt more like a restaurant you would find in Boston. The combination of exposed brick, lounge type seating and the gorgeous bar that goes around for days gives this place a really nice vibe. On to the food. We ordered a combination of sushi and Chinese food -- let me tell you, it was so good. The taste and presentation was top notch. Many people drive by this location all the time but the restaurant doesn't get much attention. Shame on me for not discovering this place sooner. Definitely a repeat for me. PART TWO: THE RETURN I was looking for places to throw a surprise birthday party with about 40 people. I looked at function halls, other restaurants, hotels, etc... and came up with nothing. I've attended parties at those places before and they were missing something. They are too big, typical and boring. Then I remembered something. I remembered Jade Lowell had a small birthday gathering behind the bar when I was there with my friends back when. I called and spoke the to owner and he was so friendly and accommodating. I am super glad I had the birthday gathering there because it had everything I was looking for: Intimate but lively atmosphere, modern décor, very nice bar, and excellent food & service. The party was a huge hit. Thank you to the owner for being so accommodating and thank you to the the entire staff for their non-stop excellent service. To the owner: Thank you for taking a chance on Lowell and bringing some class, style, friendly service and flavor. I wish for everyone to go eat and drink more at Jade Lowell so we can continue to have nice places like this one.

I've never had a bad experience when at this restaraunt. The food is always fresh and the employees are very respectful!!!

Jade Lowell opened recently near the Gallagher Transportation Center in Lowell. This basement restaurant and bar serves up a variety of Chinese and Japanese dishes, sushi & sashimi, and a full drink menu at the bar. They offer full service dining and takeout and online ordering through Toast. There is table seating and seating around the bar, which also has flatscreen TVs. I decided to try Jade Lowell out for lunch takeout and placed an online order for a Bento Box ($16 plus tax) with shrimp (2) & vegetable tempura, rice (brown), house salad, appetizer (2 crab rangoons) and a Quart of Wonton Soup ($8.95 plus tax). My order would be ready in 20 minutes, which was ideal since I was already heading to Lowell. I arrived to Jade and my order was bagged and ready and I headed back to the vehicle where I checked through the items I ordered. The items were separated and not in a bento box, no biggie. However, I was missing items including the brown rice and crab rangoons. I headed back inside Jade and informed staff about the missing items and they profusely apologized. They made my missing items and also gave me a pint of Miso Soup too. I checked one more time to make sure everything I ordered was there. I headed back to the house to enjoy my food. The tempuras had slightly thick batter and a bit oily, but otherwise pretty good. The green salad came with a tangy ginger dressing and the warm brown rice was firm. The crab rangoons were crispy, filled with soft cream cheese. The wonton soup had plenty of hot chicken broth, with snow peas, carrots, and soft wontons filled with pork. I finished the bento box lunch and had half the wonton soup, saving the other half for dinner. Overall, a decent lunch at Jade, moderately priced. It's a good thing I checked the bag contents before I drove off. They really need to check off the items being packed to make sure nothing is missing. I've had incomplete DoorDash orders from other restaurants and Dashers are not allowed to open stapled bags. I've had to call support and have another delivery driver bring missing items, which should have been correct the first time by the restaurant.

My family and I had dinner at the new Chinese/Japanese restaurant in Lowell. I'm impressed by all the delicious food we ordered, as well as the service and atmosphere. They also have an outdoor seating area in the summer. Plenty of parking spaces in the private lot. The waitstaff was very attentive, going as far as opening the doors for us as we were walking down the steps to taking our family photos for us. Will definitely check them out again when I'm in town visiting my family.

Just had some of the best sushi ever. It was called french cake maki. And a yummy asian pear martini. The service was kind and quick. Lovely atmosphere.

I went with my family and we ordered the sichuan fish and beef. We also ordered the string beans and eggplant. All of it was delicious and the portion size were good as well. I liked the more modern look and aesthetic. It felt sleek and the location being downstairs in an office space felt like a hidden gem. They also had outdoor seating but it's seasonal and not open during the winter. The waiters were professional and provided efficient service.

Friendly service from the host and bartender who served us, as we sat at the great bar. Looks like they have a nice outside patio area. Will have to go back when it warms up. The dragon maki was tasty

Jade best place in Lowell hands down. Ask for Kenny or Martin - thank me later. Also the Kenny special (Mai tai) best in the game.

Great dinner date spot on a Saturday night! Excellent service and food! Highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken!

My favorite go-to place. Drinks are great, staff is friendly and the food is 5 star! Love the Singapore rice noodle, spicy edamame, salt and pepper shrimp, chicken wings and all the sushi!

Best Chinese and Japanese food I have had in long time! I have been there several times. Served family style in a friendly atmosphere. Super staff, fresh food and wonderful drinks! Highly recommended

I was delightfully surprised with this hidden gem. They have a great outdoor patio that I look forward to returning to in the spring. The cocktails were good, the sushi was fresh, the service was good. The ambiance is nice- the interior is exposed brick and stone. I would go back!

This restaurant is a five-star for the food taste, presentation, and value. The service is equally five-star. The staff is super friendly and attentive. No matter how far you have to travel, go to the Jade. You will not be disappointed. I will continue to travel from NH to dine here in style!!

The food at Jade Lowell was very good. We went there on Sunday early evening. We were seated right away. The server came right over and took our order. The food came out quick, and it was nice and hot. We purchased three items, the pad thai, lo mein, and the happy family. The tastes were what I expected. The pad thai was good. It was slightly sweet, and the noodles were cooked well. I would have liked the peanuts incorporated in the dish, but they were brought in a small plastic cup. The beef lo mein was tasty. The noodles were also cooked well. The happy family was quite tasty. The gravy was delicious. It was my favorite flavor. The service was adequate. It could have been better. Once we received our food, the server never came back to the table to ask how we were doing or to ask if we wanted another drink. The overall meal was good.

Got unagi maki and lobster roll maki. So good. And mai tai for drink. Everything so good. Lobster Roll AMAZING. And service so good.

One of the best Asian restaurants around. Food is excellent and service is top notch. Easy to get to right off the Lowell connector or from the train. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. Large bar seating too. This is a great new restaurant for Lowell!

The food, service, and atmosphere were great. The chicken curry was full of beautiful fresh vegetables. it will also be a great stop when the weather gets warmer due to their outdoor seating. I will definitely go there again.

Check out this new place. Made an order but the server was having an attitude. When my fried rice came back it looked like there was spit in it. When I confronted him, he denied it but was holding back a laugh. Then he called me a "lo fan" which is a derogatory references toward Americans. Felt like a racial attack. Will not be going back.

The owner was incredibly thoughtful in his response. That says an awful lot about a business. I'll order from the website from now on!

The food is excellent and the restaurant gives you a lot of food for a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a large bar and it is very comfortable to sit at with the bartender very attentive to your needs.

This is a great restaurant in the Lowell area. This Chinese and Japanese cuisine has a great mix of stir fry dishes and sushi. Some of my favorite dishes at Jade are the house fried rice that has a mix of meat and vegetables. Yes very tasty and I highly recommend it. The Generals Gao's Chicken is incredible! It's a must get. Sweet and has a kick to it. Spicy tuna hand rolls are great as well. We often sit at the bar and Martin takes great care of u. Make sure u tip him well. The drinks are amazing. Jade is a cozy spot with a great atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We are regulars. I love this spot and it's a must try

The place is beautiful. The bar is super nice and comfortable with TV's. The food was very good with generous portions at a reasonable price. The service could not have been better!! I look forward to my next visit.
