Santa Clara University’s half-acre organic garden sells donation-based produce on Fridays, welcoming neighbors during community hour. Praised by campus sustainability leaders for education and access, it’s a small but heartfelt taste of hyperlocal farming.
Excellent resource for all things gardening. Took a class that taught many useful things such as how to plant vegetables, how to care for them and pest control. They also sell starter plants to help grow your garden. Relaxing and beautiful and volunteer staff was exceptional and friendly.

Local small garden run by University students. Lots of drought tolerant plants. They have classes and different programs. Once a week small produce stand is open for general public. Come early or everything will be gone in minutes and be prepared for people elbowing each other.

Yelp
Such an incredibly beautiful space encapsulated by all the hard work of students, faculty, and loving Santa Clara residents. I attended a sound bath in the garden and it was so amazing. Everyone was so nice and it was very much therapeutic. Was by far an experience I won't forget. What a gift to have this space so close!

Yelp
Truly an amazing space. The garden is a great place to decompress, de-stress, and is great for your mental health. The garden dog Remi is so precious.
Everyone there is kind. The activities and events they plan not only support the students of SCU, but the whole local communities as well. From gardening, composting, making great foods, and hosting awesome events.
Great work by Becca and the whole team.

Yelp
I'm looking forward to when this opens again. I love the idea I love the idea of community and and sustainable farming. It is still closed to the public according to the website (from 12 July 2021):
"Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, The Forge Garden is closed to the public. All produce is being donated to families in need through our Resiliency in a Box program, as well as to Bronco Pantry and HomeSafe women's shelter. We hope to open our doors to the community once it is safe to do so. Please stay in touch through our social media accounts."
Hang in there Forge folks!

Yelp
This is a great garden. They have grown into such a lovely place to go and visit. Come for Farmstand Fridays starting at 11:30 and they offer great workshops. This is a great place to have some gardening workshops and Rose, the garden coordinator is so nice and so knowledgeable. Chirpy, the free roaming chicken, is also a fun addition to the garden. I would definitely stop by and check it out! #SustainableSCU

Yelp
In 2012. I was volunteer for the forge. And the people that were in charge took no blame. It sucked at the time and when I was forced to leave then the stolen my ideas.

Yelp
This is hidden gem for the community. Check out their educational programs - which for the most part are free or very affordable. Fridays 11:30 -1:30 stop by for their farm stand. My best tip: buy your plants here - such a great deal! Our kale, chard and broccoli all did well last winter.

Yelp
The Forge Garden is a beautiful little slice of paradise in the heart of Silicon Valley. They have a farm stand, volunteer hours, an amazing orchard, flowers, vegetables, active beehives, chickens, and amazing workshops! Swing by on Friday to buy produce, local honey, and meet the garden kitten Minster. They also work with local elementary schools through the Bronco Urban Garden (BUG) program. Highly recommend a visit if you are a student, community member, or just in the area.
