The Churro Spot

MUST TRY- I ordered the veggie tacos with no sour cream and cheese making them vegan. They were delicious and perfectly seasoned, they’re the best vegan tacos I’ve had. Jacob ordered the quesabirrias and they were good, not overly cheesy, birria was soft and flavorful, the consomé was flavorful. The churros were amazing, we ordered Oreo, cajeta, apple and raspberry. Our favorite was the Oreo churro, it tasted like a crunchy melty Oreo, the raspberry one was lovely as well. The service was excellent, the gentleman taking our order was very attentive. I highly recommend this place!

I got al pastor tacos and they weren't the best. The meat was a bit dry and not very well seasoned. Same with tamales. Horchata and churros were great though! The horchata wasn't overly sweet, which I like even though there was barely any cinnamon taste in it. Drinking the horchata here feels like you are drinking a water down rice milk that will fulfill your thirst. The churros were soft and chewy with lots of filling inside. I preferred caramel filling the most. The elote was also amazing and a lot in quantity compared to its price! The place is clean and is decorated nicely, giving a tropical vibe. They have a section with long benches that seems perfect for big groups. The employee was and nice. Since I did take out so there wasn't much interaction between us, but he was friendly. I will come again to try the fish tacos, nachos, and burritos since those are what every other comment talks about.

Ordered off their mobile app for pick up. I ordered loaded fries with no tomatoes but received tomatoes. I also ordered an O’leavers with cheese. On app it says nothing about a sauce so that was a surprise. Ended up wiping the sauce off as I wasn’t expecting that. Portion size was decent. Overall I was not impressed with The Churro Spot. I will be sticking with Albelardos for my on-the-go mexican food needs.

I promised Omar's (the Owner and the Son), that I would write a review about The Churro Spot, so here goes: I've eaten Mexican and Tex-Mex all over this country and I tell you, the food here is CRAVE-ABLE & CRAVE-WORTHY! The birria burrito is hands down my favorite. So much so that I'll drive through rush hour traffic from clear across town just to have it. Put their salsa verde on top of it and your taste buds and tummy will thank you 😊. Oh! I almost forgot about their Agua Frescas! Those are delicious too! I've had the watermelon one and it indeed lives up to it's name, it's as refreshing as it sounds. I can't wait to try the other flavors. If you want something with bubbles, the Mexican soda (made with real sugar) are great too. Did I also mention that if you're a vegetarian, you can make any item vegetarian along with exploring their vegetarian options too. Other incentives? If you eat-in, there's the salsa and chips bar. And if you pay with cash, you'll get a discount on your order. Great for lunch and dinner all week and weekend long. 😋

Everything was phenomenal the birra tacos And they have elotes I have been searching for to long! There chips and salsa and definitely recommend to try packed with lots of flavor!

I just had the best birria tacos of my life here! So juicy and flavorful. They have the most delicious watermelon agua fresca too! The food came out super fast and hot. Would highly recommend!

This is literally the best birria tacos I’ve ever had. Literally NO NOTES. And the consome was soooooooo gooooddddd. I am so impressed. I’d give this place five million stars if I could.

When I went I was on a mission, to get a phenomenal torta, one that I am pleased to say I accomplished. I went with the carne asada, the meat was full of flavor, the bread was soft and delicious, the fixing were a perfect combination of lettuce, onion, tomato, avocado and pickled jalapeno. As I ordered my attention was grabbed by tge wide selection of churros so I had to try a variety of the delectable treats. Hours after my excursion I was thinking about the sandwich I had the delight of enjoying and have already set my mind on making a repeat visit soon.

I love the churros from here! They are a great price for what you get, and I've never been done wrong here. They get the food out quickly and are very nice. I love their dog mascot on the outside of the building. Cute little shop.

Love this place! The tacos are great, I have tried most of the tacos, I love the fish tacos and veggie tacos the most. Nice little chips-and-salsa bar for dine-in orders. Churros, obviously, are fantastic; I have to admit that I enjoy the tacos and chips so much that I usually forget to leave room for the churros! Cute and comfortable dining area. Right next to O'Leaver's bar.

Beautiful Mexican spot. The restaurant has Mexican art hung up on the wall which we really like. Tacos are a staple, I had their Al pastor and the meat was super tender & seasoned perfectly. My favorite is their enchiladas . I feel like they're so underrated, the sauce tastes just like my mom makes it & it's one of those dishes I hate sharing. Service is always great too!

Good Mexican food with a friendly staff and good service. The food has been hit or miss, when is good is really good but when is bad is really bad. Overall it has been ok experience.

This place makes me happy. Pure and simple it's delicious. It's so colorful and cute inside. They have a salad bar and chips for those that eat in. The lady who's checked us out each time has been great. She checked on us and picked up our dishes. The tables are small and there's not a ton of seating but I love it. This place started as a food truck and now has their own store front. I feel like stories like that mean that the food is amazing! And it doesn't let you down. My son got the burger which was juicy and well seasoned and I got the quesadilla birria and we got a trio of their churros. Yum yum yum. Love it.

I only tried the churros but they were super good! I tried the traditional, oreo, and the cream cheese ones. I would say the traditional one is my favorite because you can't go wrong with a classic. The service was speedy and the girl at the register was very nice. I am definitely going to be coming back to try the tacos

Was looking for some good authentic Mexican and this place popped up. It has never come up before and when I saw the pictures sold! We got the Cali burrito and a enchilada lunch special. The Cali burrito was SOOO GOOD! Every bite was like heaven and normally I slather my burritos in salsa but this one was too good that I couldn't stop eating it to think of salsa The enchiladas are authentic praise the Lord not like most spots put here with the fake sauce and cheese lol! It reminded me of my grandma's and hit the spot. Also their horchata is the best I have had out here!!!!! This is definitely going to be our new go to spot!!!! I miss legit mexican food being from Cali and this place made me feel like I was back home! Can't wait to come back!! Will add food pictures next time as we devoured our food so fast

The nacho chips that I received were so tough, I couldn't begin to eat them or chew them. The nachos were horrible and I threw them in the trash. The elote I received had absolutely no seasoning on it. It was just a cooked corn on the cob with something on it, but it wasn't seasoning. I threw that away too. I will NEVER order anything from this place again.

Most authentic Mexican food I've found in Omaha so far. Very good Quesatacos and the tortillas seem homemade.

Wow. Really, WOW! The little Mexican joint attached to Oleavers has really surprised and impressed with this lunch. Two fish tacos LOADED with talipia dining a savory, little smoky and subtle spice palate that is punctuated with the vibrant crunch of the cabbage and salty accent of the cotija cheese is perfectly balanced and set off with some fresh lime. And the veggie taco with the sweetness of grilled cubed sweet potatoes and spice from the salsa Verde were a textural delight that was unexpected and will be enjoyed again soon!

The food is authentic and delicious! Portions are huge. Staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The place is decorated so festive. Great comfortable place to eat. Highly recommend. Try the burrito and churro!

Everything is good!!! Love this spot and so glad it came to our area. The veggie tacos are a must try!

And my daughter and I are always looking for a different Mexican restaurant we haven't been to. We went to Ella churro spot tonight and it did not disappoint. She's pretty much a connoisseur of tamales and she loved her chicken tamales. I had a veggie taco, which was amazing, and I was surprised it had sweet potato in it! So good! I was curious about the flaming, hot elotes so I had that as well. Super flavor and too big of a serving for me! The service was friendly, and the restaurant was cheerful and clean. Looking forward to tasting more of the menu items!

As a Texan, I know a little about good Mexican food! This is the best I've found in Omaha!

My favorite place for Authentic Mexican food. My top favorites are the burritos and sopes. The tacos, tortas and churros are also great. They now have a salsa bar when you eat in and their salsa is delicious. My favorite sauce with my meals is the verde sauce and green salsa guacamole

It is a cute little spot with great food and drinks. The steak quesadillas were wonderful.

amazing service, great food, cheap!!! i came here for the first time with my friends and the man at the register who greeted us was super nice! the food came out quick and it was delicious!

Best street tacos ever! I'm new to Omaha and eat here about once a week because it is so tasty!

Under seasoned, not as flavorful as other places in town. The burrito had too much rice. A little too pricey for what you get.
