Sky Dragon Restaurant

​I should have walked out the moment I saw what a ghost town this place was. Sky Dragon is in the corner of Bellevue Marketplace off Stony Point Road, and now I know why it’s empty. ​We came in around 3:00 PM specifically for the $13.95 "Individual Economy Dinner" (appetizer, soup, and entrée). My companion asked the waitress three separate times to confirm we were ordering that special. Instead of answering, she used a "language barrier" as a shield to ignore us, mumbling about a lunch special while aggressively pointing at various items. No one else stepped in to help explain the menu; she simply forced her will on us, acting like the appetizers were included while secretly ringing them up as separate $11.00 charges. As you can see on the receipt, ​a meal that should have been $30.00 spiked to nearly $50.00 because they charged full price for the entrees and added the wontons separately. It felt like a deliberate, corrupted way to take advantage of customers. Despite the blatant manipulation and the fact that we didn't even have to, we still left a tip. More than they deserved for such predatory service. ​The food was even worse than the bill. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was completely un-chewable; I couldn't even cut it with a fork. It didn't taste or feel like chicken at all, leaving me to genuinely question what kind of meat I was being served. The only thing remotely edible was their fried wontons from the appetizer list. ​To top it off, the facility is a wreck. The bathroom lock is broken, so they just have a chair pushed against the door for "privacy." This business is predatory, the hygiene is bottom-tier, and the food quality is dangerous. They lack the basic responsibility, organization, and discipline required to be in the food industry. They are listed in the $10–$20 range, but that is a lie. To the beautiful people of Sonoma County and visitors abroad, save your money and go literally anywhere else.

$15 for lunch with 4 combos! Big portions! Better than expected 🤔 The lunch special is $14 and ends at 3:00 p.m. You get to choose from like 30 different dishes and it comes with either fried rice or chow mein and a bowl of soup either sweet and sour or wonton. I recommend the wonton soup! 🍲 The crispy orange sweet beef was very good 😊

I went there for the first time. While I was checking their menu and prices, this is a habit of mine to see if they change the price because in numerous occasions I have noticed they change the price when they hand you the bill. Unfortunately, first we were approached by an older lady that was forcing us to tell her what to order right away. The food was horrible to be honest with you. Soup was ok but at the end when I checked the bill, I noticed they have changed the price from $13.85 to $14.95 !!! That is why she didn't want me to see the menu for the second time. She also tricked my companion to order fried wonton and she said it is a part of lunch special but she was charged $10.99 extra. I took a picture of my bill and their menus and planning to complain about them to better business bureau. Stay away from this place👎🏼

We regularly order for take out. I love their fat noodle chow mien and won ton soup. Everyone who works there is friendly. The service is great.

Ordered delivery. Possibly the best Wor Wonton soup we have ever had! Haven’t even started our main yet, this soup is so amazing. Tons on prawns, beef, chicken, won tons and veggies in the best broth. Just wow!

This restaurant is the best EVER!! Everybody is really nice along with the food being really good. The service is great and quick. This restaurant is beautiful, quiet and calming. I enjoy it every time I come.

Food is fast and decently priced but it was a little off for me. I had the honey walnut prawns and it felt like the prawns were under fried so the breaded part was a bit doughy. However the pan fried noodles were good

Clean, quiet & not very busy but the lady was very attentive and the service was good. I had fried rice and honey walnut shrimp which was ok. Everything was fresh & prepared in a timely manner.

This is our go-to Chinese restaurant. Their food is consistantly delicious, well-prepared and made with primo ingredients. We generally order take-out.

Bought 2 lunch specials. Orange sesame beef Entree was good though recent price increase wasn't The chow main was horrible! It was just spaghetti cooked in oil. No flavor! No onion,carrot or anything tasty. I will only order fried rice if I ever return!

We have ordered delivery from this restaurant a few times, and it is good food that always lightening quick. I also feel like they're a bit more affordable than some other options, and the entrees are generous portions and prepared fresh. I really love their bbq pork fried rice, and the general tso's chicken was delicious. Good sized pieces of meat and really tender. I would love to see some lunch specials, and I'd be enjoying it even more often.

The food is fresh and delicious. Everything is cooked with the right seasoning for me.

Ordered takeout only. Never been here before and It was a bit out of the way but gave it a try anyway. Food got lots of the wok flavor which I loved! Thumbs up . Ordered beef har fun and another dish. Didn't see anyone inside but there were a few takeouts.

We were yearning for a tasty Chinese lunch and Sky Dragon fit the bill. Prices are reasonable and service is super fast. When we arrived 15 minutes after placing our order online, food was ready, fresh and hot. Shrimp with snow peas had lots of big shrimp and nice veg. General Tso chicken was tasty but no veg. Usually there is some broccoli. Soup was light and tasty. Spring rolls were crispy.

Food taste so bad. Especially lemon chicken and Mongolian beef. Smelly and tastes very un-fresh. Very disgusting. Such a wasted of money.

Unfortunately this place just doesn't do it for me. I've given them a few tries since moving nearby and each time my orders are just bland and boring. Fair pricing and nice people working there, but the food just doesn't do it for me.

Delivery was quick via their website (Not DoorDash) and the food was hot when it arrived. Generous portions of all that I ordered. The Salt and pepper fish, Crab puffs, and the walnut prawns were the best imo. I'd definitely get them again. The chicken chow mein wasn't bad, it was standard not too greasy but not a ton of flavor. Beef and broccoli was okay, the broccoli was nice and flavorful but the beef was a little tough. The salt and pepper tofu wasn't very good. It was fried nicely and the inside was soft but the flavor was a little off. The BBQ Pork buns were nice, nothing to write home about but they weren't awful. I'd get them again if I had a particular hankering for them and couldn't go to Hang Ah. Overall not bad for Chinese in Santa Rosa. I'd get what I liked again and maybe try something new.

This was a delivered order, so I have no opinion on the restaurant itself. The food delivered to us was terrible, overall. The potstickers and crab rangoons were pretty good.(hence the two stars) The chicken chow mein was passable. The lemon chicken was close to flavorless, and the Mongolian beef was...blah, and I'm not sure if it was beef. Yikes. The veggie fried rice soggy. Maybe it was a bad night, but I probably won't try again. I chose this restaurant because Grub Hub gave it a good review. Disappointed.

Food is bland, rice and noodles were over cooked. Not what it use to be at all... Place is EMPTYYY Our total was $59.87 and i apple paid $60, but yet I somehow owned them $9.99 more which made no sense. She wanted me to pay it in cash. I tried to look at the receipt and the lady wouldn't let me see. I kept explaining that her math wasn't mathing and I didn't owe her $10 more so she kept texting someone to come and deal with me. A nice guy came and looked and told me that they owed me 10 cents so I was like okay that makes sense. As I'm leaving my husband gets a call from the restaurant saying from the nice man saying I was short $10. I wouldn't mind giving a tip but if it's being added on without my knowledge it's ridiculous.

I get takeout from Sky Dragon, my wife and son love the soups and they are priced right. I like the other stuff.

Don't waste your money. I was desperate Christmas Eve so I ordered from this place knowing that the last time I ate here it was not great but this time it was horrible! The hot and sour soup tasted slightly burnt and the chow fun was not cooked correctly. The noodles were all stuck in clumps with little to no sauce on it at all. I could go on about the other standard dishes but it would just take too long. Save your $80 and go somewhere else.

I'm happy to support local restaurants, especially during this time when everyone is struggling. Boyfriend and I both got lunch specials and wow the prices are good! Under $8 each and they FILL the clamshell tray, these suckers were heavy! The food is pretty good and we'll definitely be back. The first time I was there I got almond chicken with chow mein. Next time I'll try something different. I went back about a week later in search of barbecue pork. Just a big chunk of it because I was making sticky rice at home and they really hooked me up for a good price. Great family business that I hope is able to stay in business through all this craziness. Remember everyone, right now these businesses are really hurting, as we all are. If you're able to tip extra, please do. Please help keep our local restaurants and businesses afloat.

Love this place. Their walnut shrimp is to die for along with their Singapore noodles. Very tasty, never a bad item on the menu.

So delicious! Just tried the Individual Economy Dinner last night, and it was exactly what I was looking for!

As far as takeout, I have had nothing but good experiences. The salt and pepper ribs are absolutely delicious, and the service is fast and kind. Pricing is decent for the area, and they have some econo meals that are pretty good bargains. We've had bad experiences with other takeout in the area, so this place is a HUGE relief to find. We'll be back often. :)

Barbecued Pork Fried Rice. We've ordered delivery from this family-owned restaurant several times and have been consistently impressed by the service and quality of the food. Their crab puffs, egg rolls, and wor wonton soup are particularly good. The chow mein, prawns, beef, fried rice, and vegetable dishes are delicious, but my favorite is the walnut chicken--yummy!

Huge portions and I can eat for 3 days on $13. The sesame orange beef was good but not great. I'm definitely going back tomorrow though because they have a wonderful menu.

I love ordering pot stickers from Sky Dragon restaurant in the Roseland area of Santa Rosa. The staff are super friendly even if sometimes you talk to two different people while ordering over the phone. These pot stickers are vegetarian with egg and they come 6 to an order. You might not notice from the picture but they are huge! The dumpling dough is crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle, with a delicious savory filling of veggies, tofu, and glass noodles. It comes with a super savory and slightly sweet dipping sauce. The food is always fresh and these were ready in about 15 minutes. These are perfect to share or pick up as a meal for 1. Their food used to be great. The last few times we ordered...the sauces were all emptied into the bags so the items like chicken curry were dry and no sauce left to put on it. We always ask fir hot spicey and it comes very bland with no heat. Too bad again they used to be good.

Everything is always wonderful, and their soups are big and filling. They are also very fast. Give this place a shot if you haven't, you won't be disappointed.

We order lunch at least once a week from lunch menu always very good, there Crab Puffs are the best I have to recommend this place

Wife and I travel all over the country for work, and I can honestly say that this place is at the top. Amazing service!! The older lady (owner I assume), is the best! Glass never goes empty! The first time we went, I asked for fried wonton strips for my soup. She did not understand what I was saying so I used my translator app to ask her. Since then, every time we walk in she has the cook prepare those for us without asking. We have tried the walnut prawns, king pao chicken, lemon chicken, and schezuan(?) chicken....all have been amazing!! Soups (hot and sour and wonton) are as fresh and done right!

Things have changed since my last review of Sky Dragon. I'm just not sure if the food has gotten better, or if I've gotten better at navigating the menu. I AM sure, however, that delivery is prompt and friendly, and the Salt and Pepper Ribs are always worth ordering. My wife and I have also enjoyed the Tomato Beef with Crispy Noodles and the Fried Wonton filled with pork and shrimp, and still like the Crab Puffs. The chow mein and fried rice dishes we've tried have been just OK. Not bad, but nothing exciting, either. Overall, we're less disappointed than we were previously -- but if Hang Ah ever starts delivering...

As a prior reviewer mentioned on 12/1/2021, the male server here really needs to go. I am not sure if he is a family member, if not, he needs to go as he is ruining what is actually a really good family run Chinese restaurant. The other people there, the females, are incredibly sweet. It is a shame to have the poor attitude of the male ruin their business. I used to go here once a week. After moving to Sonoma County from Oakland, I found their food to be on par with what I was eating in Oakland and way superior to what I was finding in Santa Rosa. I actually gave the male server 3 chances to stop being such a rude d*cK. An example, for lunch I used to ask for 1/2 white rice and 1/2 chow mien in their lunch special. I had done this maybe 20-30 times before? This one time, he claimed they don't/can't do this. It puzzled me, but whatever. I ordered chow mien. Lo and behold, someone walks in 3 minutes later and orders a lunch special and asks for 1/2 rice 1/2 chow mien. The male server goes "No problem"! ....I now question him across the restaurant, (it isn't full) , and say to him, "I thought you can't do 1/2-1/2?"...He comes up with the stupidest excuse, "oh, sometimes when the kitchen is busy"...I went back in one last time with a friend. She clearly noticed his negative vibe when seating me, taking my order and just in general. I haven't been back since. I actually have really wanted to go back and see if he is no longer working there. I really hope so, as the Owners, are really sweet hard working people who offer good value and well prepared food TLDR-I really hope the owners of Sky Dragon read their Yelp reviews. They need to put their male servers attitude in check as he is ruining their business.

I was curious to try other Asian food and came across Sky Dragon. Coming from a Chinese household, their food is not bad but definitely could be better, the chow mien was on the bland side. Everyone who was working there was nice, and it was obvious that they were very appreciative that we ordered from them.

This restaurant is awesome. Homemade potstickers and they are huge and the food quality just great. The staff is super friendly. Will go again always.

Very simple atmosphere & very good food, best egg rolls & Wonton soup. Both very flavorful & packed with veggies. The lady server is very nice.

I will never order from this restaurant again. Ordered door dash from them, and what we received was completely wrong. Went through the door dash platform to have the proper items delivered, and again it was completely wrong. Called the business, they admitted making it incorrectly, and then asked if we could pick up a replacement. We had ordered door dash for a reason; we were unable to pick up. The whole process took over 2 1/2 hours. What a waste. Four items of food we could not eat (one was over the top, can't even taste your food spicy), and a waste of a tip for the poor driver who didn't have any idea that this restaurant doesn't care at all what they are given. Drivers beware! Don't accept an order from this place! I'll never get food from here again.

We have been here several times. Every time we come in, the attitude of the server has gotten worse and worse. He is not friendly and is very rude. He answers rudely if you ask him a question. He doesn't give us menus and our orders were messed up several times. We were also overcharged. We didn't leave a tip due to the attitude of the server and our order being messed up again. When he saw that I left no tip, he asked me several times, "no tip? " Well, now he knows why. Never coming back

This place is inconsistent which is why I won't recommend this place. Once I had food delivered and it was amazing for the price. I had the orange chicken and the noodles. It was a lot of food too. Another time I had it was just gross... I got the wontong soup and it was like that Bratz meme with Chloe saying "EwwWww" It had barley any of the dumplings and it was over filling with soggy vegetables. Didn't have good flavor either. Just tasted like earthy eggplant. I guess it's like playing Russian roulette

Very deceiving and overrated consider pricing and the fact that I ordered a bunch of food due to the reviews all for me and my family to get FOOD POISONING ‼ this food left us all with cold sweats migraines , stomach pains and nausea I had to throw ALL the food away waste of money

It's worth a try if you are in the area . The food was great! No complaints from us! We've Tried the wonton soup and a few other dishes ,the pot stickers are great ! All in all great place to eat

First time placing an order here from the door dash app and it will be my last. I had family over so I ordered 2 orders of chow mein and 2 orders of orange chicken. When the food arrived all that was in the bag was 1 order of each. Checked my card charges and I definitely was charged for 2 of each. Like I said, first and last time ordering from this place. Food was okay but I'll stick to my regular go to place, Hunan Kitchen in Rohnert Park.

Kungpow chicken had a fishy taste.Oil fried foods tasted like oil was old too. Not good as previous.Wor ton soup still great.

Okay, nothing quite like throwing your meal away after a few bites Egg rolls-filled with cabbage only Orange Sesame Chicken-horrible, greasy and not the nice white meat chicken that I love Pork fried Rice-many, many huge pieces of pork (Total turn-off)I don't think until today that I ever complained about rice. Yet, here I am. Just terrible. Never Ever Again

I ordered the barbecue pork chow mein, pineapple walnut prawn and General Tsao chicken. Both the pron and the chicken were overly breaded and this took away from the taste and quality. The barbecued pork chow mein was OK but lacked in flavor, there was a lot of meat and very minimal vegetable. I'm not sure how it got 4.3 stars and frankly I won't order from here again.

The Singapore Noodles are so good I will be ordering those again. We ordered the family meal and we got TONS of food. Everything was seasoned perfectly to me. Once again y'all get the Singapore noodles! Perfect amount of curry, I asked for mine to be spicy!

One of the best chinese places for food taste. It is very simple decor and atmosphere. But the food is of quality and good taste. People are very freindly as well. They do a mass amount of delivery and take out. They do serve beer as well.

The crab ragoons always have me coming g back to this place. They are delicious. My favorite place to order door dash from. I like getting the dinner combination because it's a cheap meal but it's delicious and filling. The fried rice and mongolian chicken is amazing too.

This restaurant is open for another hour. I called and wanted an order for delivery. The man that answered the phone says "You want delivery? (Dramatic pause) NOW?!?!" I started to place my order then thought better of it. Why would I give my money to someone who is obviously not interested in receiving it. F that. Guess I'm in the market for another Chinese food restaurant...
