Perched under the JFK Causeway, Doc’s pairs sunsets with fresh Gulf plates and even cook‑your‑catch. Featured in Southern Living, it’s beloved for breezy decks, live music, and reliably good shrimp, flounder, and tuna tacos.

No wonder this restaurant is so highly rated. We started with shrimp queso and tortilla chips along with margaritas, and everything was delicious. Sitting outside by the water made the experience even better — such a relaxing, bayside vibe. For entrées, we ordered the bacon-wrapped shrimp and the crab-stuffed flounder. The seafood was incredibly fresh, exactly what you’d hope for at a restaurant right next to the bay. Since we had our fido with us, we sat downstairs near the bar and kids’ play area. Even though we ordered from the to-go menu, the staff kindly delivered everything right to us downstairs. Great food, great service, and a wonderful overall experience. If you’d like, I can also make this shorter, more casual, or Google/Yelp-style.

This was my first trip to Texas and Corpus Christi, and I decided to take a solo trip. This place came highly recommended, and I can see why. Gabby was such a sweet waitress and very accommodating, even while handling a busy crowd. She truly deserves recognition and a raise. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous and made the whole experience worth it. The only negative observation I had was with the owner/manager (tall, slim white man). He was walking around asking tables how they liked their food and if they needed anything, but he walked right past me and only spoke to the tables in front of and behind me. It may have been unintentional, but it did feel strange and made me feel a little out of place for a moment. Overall, my visit was great, and I would probably return.

First we were placed at the perfect table with the best view of the water while still being shaded. Enjoyed the variety of the drink menu. Ordered the Cucumber Watermelon Lemonade and the Jalapeño Dosarita, Starters were great - Raw Oysters & Watermelon Tuna. However when it came to the entrees, the Docs Yardbird sounded great in theory but was a bit too heavy handed on the blackening seasoning (still enjoyable) and would try it again, but it was not as awesome as the Lemon Caper Tuna (fantastic in flavor and cook - rare to med rare) and the green beans were cooked well with a lemon pepper seasoning. We will be back for sure! 😍

Food is delicious and the views are amazing. They have a very good local craft beer list, including seasonal specials (it's all canned but the quality is high and the styles are varied). The soft drink refills are free and they'll often give you one for the road. And today, for New Year's, they gifted us all with little cups of black eyed peas so I know it's gonna be a good year.

Our visit to Doc’s Seafood and Steaks was a decent overall experience, but it had a mix of positives and drawbacks. We waited about an hour and 15 minutes to be seated, which was expected for the busy evening, but worth noting if you’re visiting during peak times. The menu is heavily seafood-focused, with many dishes prepared blackened or jerk-style, so there’s a fair amount of spice. If you’re not into seafood or bold flavors, your options are somewhat limited. The setting is one of the highlights — you can sit near the edge and enjoy a nice view of the water, which adds to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the chairs were hard and lacked any lumbar support, making them uncomfortable for a long meal. Our server was friendly and attentive, which helped balance out some of the food concerns. The burgers we tried were very charred and didn’t have much seasoning; the sauces provided most of the flavor, so without them, they would have been pretty bland. The lower-level area offers games like cornhole and the ring-and-hook game, along with some live music, which creates a casual, fun vibe. However, it also had an unpleasant smell of spilled beer and even urine, which was off-putting and made us question the cleanliness in that area. In short, seafood lovers who enjoy a lively, waterfront atmosphere will probably appreciate this place more than we did. For non-seafood eaters, the limited menu and mixed food quality may not make it worth the wait.

Google
Fresh, local seafood what one should expect from a restaurant on the coast. The Mahi/Shrimp plate that was a lunch special on this day, it was prepared properly and hit the mark. The Bloody Mary was good as well. The server, Jazz, was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with making a selection. Doc's is located on the water, right of the JFK Causeway offering outdoor or open air seating inside on nice days so there is a nice view of the bay.

The staff was very friendly, and the band playing created a great atmosphere. Service was quick on drinks and appetizers. The burger was amazing I got the Yankee Dixie Burger and it did not disappoint. 💯 Highly recommend!

Google
This was our favorite place by far on our visit to the area. Yes, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was great!! But the service was beyond 5 stars. Our server, Lauren P. made our experience here exemplary! She was so attentive, friendly, and informative to all our questions. Made our visit more memorable and fun. We chose to go with the two different fish options that were caught that day. The cooks here clearly know what they're doing, as our food was delicious. They had a live singer performing near the front door in the bar area. Below the restaurant if you have a long wait (which is worth it!) Is another bar area you can enjoy and pass the time. If we ever get to come back to visit the area, this restaurant will be on top of our list.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great band playing! We had the fried shrimp platter and the stuffed flounder. Everything was delicious!

Yelp
Solid 4.5-5.0 experience! Docs is your quintessential midscale restaurant directly next to a body of water with an actual doc for boats to hook up and visit from. We arrived at docs for lunch and noticed they have a downstairs bar and an upstairs restaurant! We went with the upstairs version and got sat at table by the water. Our server was prompt and helped to elevate the experience! We went with the Ahi tuna dish and hush puppies to start. Both were good imo. The Hush puppies was just a little over fried but the remoulade sauce with it was great. The ahi tuna dish was great and comes with a bunch of sides. The tuna could be seasoned a little more with less sauce. Overall it was enjoyable. For our main we split the fresh red fish and I'm glad we did! This dish was huge filet of red fish, fried, then a gravy like sauce on top! It comes with 2 sides that were plenty of food and a good value! We each got a drink and they were good! Docs provides a nice atmosphere with good food, great service and a fair value! I would recommend any visitor roll this into their visit!

Yelp
Stopped to eat at Doc's Seafood & Steaks on the trip home from Port A. The parking lot was full and the restaurant was very busy on a Sunday night. We were able to find parking and were greeted by the host. We were seated quickly with no wait and got a large booth in the dining area to accommodate our party of 7. It was too dark by the time we got there for us to enjoy the beautiful view. They had a live music performance which was enjoyable. The service was very friendly and attentive. Was very engaging with the kiddos at the table and a very friendly demeanor. I have to say that this time around the quality of the food was not as good as I remember. I ordered the Coastal bacon wrapped shrimp, 6 jumbo shrimp stuffed with cilantro lime cream cheese and wrapped in applewood bacon. The specialty side was squash and zucchini and a side of rice. They did provide me with a butter dipping sauce upon request. The shrimp was a bit overcooked and chewy and they were also a bit smaller than I remember. The kids in our party had a cheese burger and grilled cheese kids meal with apple sauce. When the grilled cheese sandwich came out and the kiddo did not want to eat because it was greasy and shaped like a circle; the server took it back to the kitchen to address the concerns. Also ordered the fried shrimp platter, 8 shrimp hand-breaded in panko and comes with fries, slaw, and hush puppies, tartar and cocktail sauce . Also had the catch of the day platter with mahi mahi served with rice and the vegetable of the day. The Costal cob salad with chicken includes fresh mixed greens with pico de gallo, cheese, egg, bacon and avocado. Over all a good dining experience with attentive and friendly service. Just wish the food had been on par with the last visit.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Corpus Christi. A waterside hangout with a dock, a deck, and live music, Doc's offers a relaxed, Coastal Vibe - perfect for watching the sunset. I had dinner there with a group of six. Two of us had salads and four had burgers. My seafood salad was piled high, but I admit to a touch of envy. My dining partners' burgers 'n fries looked amazing. Our service was attentive, too. I couldn't have been happier with my experience.

Yelp
Love stopping here on our way to and from Port A! Always with several family members, they accompany our big group really well each time. The beers and different cocktails are our favorite reason to visit, although the food is a close second! Service is always top notch and we leave happy & full - a big win our book!

Yelp
This is a go to spot for beautiful sunset views! We timed our arrival with this in mind. We ordered a few appetizers, which were ok. The clam strips were not as crunchy as we would have liked and the ceviche dip was a bit watery. The steak, while a bit overcooked, was nonetheless my favorite meal. The tuna sandwich was a nice surprise with a huge piece of medium rare aji tuna steak.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. Food was terrific. Our party had Caesar salads, shrimp poor boys, shrimp platter and salmon. All platters were delicious and plentiful. Our wait staff was prompt efficient and friendly. We had our lunch on the balcony overlooking the waterways. What a beautiful day! I highly recommend this place. I really enjoyed my drink- electric eel. Check one out! Iridescent Green!

Yelp
Fantastic sunset viewing (which is why we came); food was good - tuna tacos and burger ... live music was unexpected and cherry on top. Sunset, sunset, sunset!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place offers great food with stunning views of the sunset over the water. It can get busy, so expect a wait. If you have to wait, you can always head downstairs and hang out. They have a bar down there and a couple of games to play, like cornhole. I will warn you, though, parking can be really tough for dinner - even parking on the street can be hard to find. They have live music on most nights, but I'll warn you, sometimes the performer in the dining room can be a little on the loud side and just a tad annoying - it's not absolutely terrible though. They offer a decent selection of local and regional beers, but none on tap. They also have a full bar for your favorite cocktail. They have covered outdoor seating on the deck, but you can still see the sunset from inside if you are seated in the right area. When I was there, they had the big doors open, so a decent breeze was coming in, and you could see the sunset. The crab-stuffed flounder was my favorite - it's a must try! I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
Great service and food. Went on a Friday evening around 5pm and they were too busy. Got a seat outside on the patio and they had additional fans going to help keep it cool. Grant, was the person who assisted and I got one of the specials - Parmesan crusted redfish. This was amazing! The crust on the fish was crunchy and gave a nice contrast to the delicate fish inside that was cooked perfectly. The sauce on top was equally delicious and the only negative was it was a shrimp sauce however there may have been one or two pieces of shrimp. So, that could have been better. The green beans were seasoned well and the rice also flavorful. The restroom was sea decorated and a different set up with a split stall, one right by the entrance and the other on the far side with the sinks in-between. The views were great! Overall delicious food and good service, I'd recommend to pop in especially if you can make it for the sunset, has to be amazing.

Yelp
If you're looking for seafood that'll make you question why you ever settled for frozen fish sticks, this is the spot. I went all in with the Seafood Lover platter: 1 flounder fillet, 4 shrimp, and a crab cake fried so perfectly, Gordon Ramsay himself would have shed a single tear. The shrimp? Honestly, I'm convinced they trained for the Olympics before they ended up on my plate. Now, the margaritas. I started with Doc's Margarita and thought, "Hmm, this is kind of weak." Fast forward to the last sip, and suddenly I'm smiling at strangers like we've been best friends since kindergarten. The Skinny Margarita, though? Hands down the winner-light, refreshing, and sneaky in the best way. Add in some great live music, an atmosphere that says, "Yes, order dessert, you're on vacation," and a waitress who deserves her own fan club. We had such a blast that we broke the golden rule of vacations: never eat at the same place twice. Yep, we went back the very next day. 10/10 -highly recommend. Bring stretchy pants.

Yelp
We came for the food and the views. Highly recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I appreciated the fact that on a Monday evening, they still have a musician that play live music for us. Nothing better than dining waterside with a cocktail and live music. Parking: surface parking with some spaces in the gravel

Yelp
Doc's Seafood & Steaks was the place my brother saw on the JFK Memorial Causeway Bridge (which becomes Hwy 358 headed towards Corpus Christi) and told our group of 11 he wanted to have dinner there. Once again, another long wait for dinner, but not quite as long as they estimated. I didn't know which area to choose, but downstairs was packed so I headed upstairs to get my name on the list. After dinner, my dad complained, "They had a shrimp boil special downstairs." Everyone seemed to enjoy the food - even my vegetarian (sometimes pesco-vegetarian) sister-in-law. I wasn't crazy about the live entertainment that night (June 20, 2025), but I have heard much worse. It was hard to carry a conversation because it was fairly loud most of the time. Our waitress was great, but of course I don't remember her name. The manager came by and checked on us - he was friendly also. It was refreshing to see more than just fried seafood on the menu, so here's what I ordered: + grilled coconut shrimp + Doc's paloma RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 3 | Price: 4

Yelp
My husband and I were in Corpus for a summer getaway, and Doc's did not disappoint! Is there a long wait? Yes. The closer you get to sunset, the busier it'll be. Is it worth the wait? Also yes. We came around 6/6:30, knowing there would be a bit of a wait since it was getting closer to sunset. They're notorious for the sunset views. There was live music inside the restaurant, and the singer was extremely talented. (My husband isn't a live music person and commented on how well the singer was doing.) Our waiter kept the drinks coming, and my husband and I ordered the catch of the day. It was incredible. There are a lot of menu options if you have dietary restrictions. I can't have gluten, so I made some modifications. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Our server, Rachel, was amazing! Consistently stopping by to see if we had what we needed. Started with peel and eat shrimp. Dined on stuff flounder (3/5) a little dry; Fish tacos (5/5); Crab cakes (4/5) Nice atmosphere sitting in the deck overlooking the bay.

Yelp
We came in as a party of four around 12:45ish on the Fourth of July, and got seated outside, probably didn't even wait five minutes honestly. Even with it being the holiday, it was busier inside than it was outside, but still quite a few open seats everywhere especially considering the time that we came in. We ordered the Fourth of July special, Blackened Flounder with Avocado Baja Sauce + Pico, and then regular menu items of Clam Chowder (small bowl), Coconut Shrimp, Fish and Chips, and the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp. For Gluten-Free, the Flounder was safe to eat, and the Coconut Shrimp was safe to eat, but got the sauce on the side. They said that there were supposed to be coconut flakes sprinkled on the shrimp, but it seemed to have only been sauce on the shrimp and that's it, disappointing for what you would think of 'coconut shrimp'. The Fish and Chips had a good crispiness to the fried part of the fish, and had a good flavor and level of saltiness with it. The potatoes were good, so adorable since they were all different sizes. The beans were also surprisingly good, not too crunchy but not too soft, and really well seasoned. Our waitress did a really good job making sure our drinks were refilled, we can drink a lot of drinks, and she was super friendly, so it was fun getting to chat with her while we were there. I believe her name was Rebecca; she was super friendly and a great waitress. Even the manager of the restaurant was friendly, but ended up having issues with the prepaid cards (such a rip-off for small business restaurants). Definitely will come back here if we ever come down to the coast area!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun atmosphere! Great waiter.... Shout out to Grant! Oyster apps were good...... can't ever go wrong. Coconut shrimp was delish!! Doc's yard bird..... the flavor was great! Chicken was moist.

Yelp
Docs Seafood and Steaks is an absolute must if you're in Port A! We came just in time to catch the sunset, and the atmosphere was incredible, relaxed, coastal, and the perfect way to end the day. The service was fantastic too, quick, attentive, and super friendly, even during a busy season. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Snapper, and wow, it was huge and absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily a dish I'd get again. The rest of the table had the Fiesta Burger (with a veggie patty), a seafood platter, and the mahi-mahi, everything looked amazing! For appetizers, we tried the hush puppies and Wisconsin cheese curds, and those cheese curds are a 10/10 must-order. But the real star for me? The clam chowder, creamy, rich, and so good I'd come back just for another bowl. I'm definitely giving this place a four out of five, for the only reason of being the veggie burger had a little too much soy, and the fries were a little dry! But that is no reason to not come! This place is amazing! If you're looking for great seafood, friendly service, and an unbeatable view, Docs is the place to go!
google avatar

Mollie G.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with work colleagues. Get the pink lemonade. Delicious. The Texas egg rolls and the seafood queso were phenomenal. Didn't have anything left. Entree was great. They also have specials. Everyone who ordered the steak couldn't stop talking about the seasoning and how it seemed like it had a crust. Also we got different desserts tres leche, key lime pie and fried cheesecake. None of us had a bad thing to say. We've all decided we're coming back before we leave.
google avatar

Yelp
Between Docs and Snoopy's, we choose Docs. We just felt the atmosphere was nicer and the air flow was more comfortable. Our view of the sunset perfect. We started our meal with fried clam strips and a half dozen oysters on half shells. Oh what a great way to open the meal. They have some wonderful drinks too. I highly recommend the Costal Cooler. Next we had the seafood lover plate with shrimp and flounder. This dish was excellent. Then we wrapped up the meal with key lime pie. Having enjoyed key lime pie in Key West, I have never found its equal, sadly this was no exception. Although my wife liked it, I found it just ok. Our waiter really made our visit enjoyable. If you see Aidan, tell him we said hi. Go and enjoy your evening and I hope you get a great sunset.

Yelp
We stopped in for a Valentine's Day snack between doing a "Selena Crawl" (museum - Mirador de la Flor - Selena's Star on the Texas Music Walk of Fame) in Corpus and heading to Horses on the Beach. We loved reading about the restaurant history and Doc's military accomplishments. We only ordered a beer, Mermaid water (great), the ceviche appetizer (good), and the shrimp po' boy (awesome) w/fries (really good). We wish we could have eaten more but we were pressed for time and afraid to eat too much before an hour and a half ride. If we get to return, I'm definitely ordering their fried shrimp dish. The lady next to me ordered it and it looked delicious! The shrimp were huge! Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. If we make it back to South Padre, we'll definitely have to stop in again and try more menu items.
google avatar

Nick M.

Yelp
Easy and fantastic! When I arrived I learned that it would be an hour wait to dine inside but they have a fantastic super easy to go window where you can place an order and they will bring it to you outside downstairs which is where I really wanted to sit anyway? The food was delicious and could not have been better. I've had coconut shrimp many times but not grilled the way they prepared them and I really enjoyed it.
google avatar

Bailey N.

Yelp
My wife and I love this place! We both got the tuna tacos and they were excellent, additionally, I ordered the Dos a' rita which is a frozen or on the rocks margarita with an upside down Dos Equis in it. We both really enjoyed our drinks. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was even better! I look forward to coming back to this joint When I return back to the corpus area. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Jacob T.

Yelp
The waiter we had was fantastic - quick and attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and drink offerings. The restaurant was loud but it was due to the live music, which was excellent. The food was below average. I had the shrimp po' boy, which was fine. The sweet potato fries were very good. My wife had the bacon-wrapped shrimp which were not great, especially for the $26 price tag, and the rice and vegetable side was horrible. The beer was good but nothing was on tap - everything was brought in a can with a chilled glass. Overall the experience was below average and if not for the live music we would have had a 100% negative experience. We will not return, especially when a superior competitor is literally within walking distance.
google avatar

Kiera L.

Yelp
Food was incredible, service was even better! There were several new hires that were being trained, and I'd just like to commend them all on doing an awesome job! Location is great, with a pretty waterfront view. Overall a great dining experience, and would definitely recommend others to come here as well.
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
Where do I start? The most amazing part was the food ! Being gluten free not by choice I felt safe and able to enjoy the whole reason I went and paid money to eat ! The red fish was so good after eating lunch we returned the next night for dinner. Lori was our server for dinner when we returned... ask for her and definitely chose the red fish. The only better red fish I have eaten in Texas was what I caught and my husband cooked
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
Great farm raised oysters. Loved my bacon-wrapped shrimp. The other entrees at out table looked excellent as well. Ambiance was fun. Only gripe was that my drink was watered down by the time it got to the table... all the drinks were very slow.

Yelp
A return trip to Doc's was overdue - by 3 years, but luckily, we finally made it back this weekend. After 3 years, their food quality has remained consistently delicious, maybe even better than before. I ordered the fried shrimp Platter and just made a pig of myself. Every bit of the fried goodies on my plate was eaten - even the French fries, and it was huge serving! My wife still does not like eating seafood and opted for a burger - just like before. Our other eating buddies ate the fried shrimp platter as well and we were all gobsmacked happy! And yes, the fried cheese curds from Wisconsin appetizer was delicious as well. The service was excellent. All these young and energetic servers were friendly and well-trained. Their smile was contagious and were efficient to serve the food and drinks. Both young men and women who worked there were pleasant looking. The colleges in the area must be a good source of workers for this restaurant. They employ a bunch of these kids. The restaurant was jumping when we were there. Back in late 2021 when we were here last, the pandemic was still keeping people from eating out. Not this time - the parking lot was packed just like the tables in the restaurant. Overall, the ambiance is as good as I remember. The view of the bay is outstanding. The view plus the excellent food, that's a combination that's hard to beat. This restaurant has now joined my own personal of must-go restaurants I have curated through the years of eating out!

Yelp
First time visiting Corpus Christi, and we wanted to check out a local spot--Doc's Seafood & Steaks. The location had a nice vibe, and the view was great, which set high expectations for the food. I ordered the Seafood Platter with Flounder, fries, and hush puppies. The fries were definitely the highlight--hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, the hush puppies were overcooked and dry, which made them hard to enjoy. The biggest letdown was the flounder. While it was cooked properly, it lacked any real flavor or seasoning. I was really hoping for something more flavorful, especially at a seafood-focused restaurant. Also, the only hot sauce options available were Sriracha and Tabasco--not ideal if you're looking for something more traditional or with a better flavor pairing for seafood. Overall, the experience was just okay. Great location, gorgeous view of the ocean, and solid service, but the food didn't quite hit the mark for me.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town for a work conference and this place was recommended by some of the local attendees. Place was pretty busy for a weekday and they had some live music playing as well. Overall, Food was good, but it did take awhile to for our food to come out and our waiter was practically nonexistent. He claimed it was a busy night and they were short staffed. The most positive thing I had were the hush puppies.

Yelp
Went by the reviews and decided to check this place out. I was a little disappointed in the food overall. We started with chips/salsa and that was really good! I got the seafood lover meal which was all fried shrimp, flounder, and crab cakes. I thought the overall seasoning was lacking. It all was just battered/fried, no flavor. I'm glad I had tartar/cocktail sauces. Wife got the 12oz ribeye. Flavor was good but definitely not worth $38. Lastly, son got the tuna tacos. He liked em so that was a win there. Our server was good and friendly. Not sure we'd return for the price we paid ($120 +tip) and not really blown away. I was kinda let down after saving our last meal on the island going here.

Yelp
Doc's is our must stop each time we're in town. We've even driven down from San Antonio just to eat here. My parents request to go each time they visit, as well. Being right off the water, you can literally stand at the dock and watch the fresh catch of the day being unloaded of the boats directly into the kitchen. You'll also see pelicans and other seabirds gather around this time, too just waiting for someone to drop a tasty fish. The entire back of the restaurant is glass that opens to the outside sea air so no matter if it's nice or stormy, you can watch the wildlife and sealife in and around the canal. The drinks are strong yet tasty. The food is wonderfully fresh and well prepared. R special each day had never let me down. The service is always so friendly and attentive. It really is just a joy to be here. Oh, and try the house made salt scrub provided free in the bathroom. Your hands will thank you!

Yelp
Great atmosphere!! Oysters were not worth the price they were very small for the price. Margaritas were a disappointment had to order extra shots because they just tasted of pure Margarita mix. If you go just for the view I recommend but not for the food.

Corinne S.

Yelp
Ambiance is nice however they had heaters on and it was way too hot. Service was very slow and there were not many people. Food was just okay. My salad, bacon wrapped shrimp and vegetables were all fine. The tartar sauce was funky.
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, prompt service, and they have fried clams which is what brought me in. The clams were perfect, I understand the oysters were too, my redfish with poblano cream sauce was delicious. Green beans a little too "mushy" consistency for me, but probably just personal preference. We also enjoyed the dessert. Enjoyed the experience!

Yelp
Long wait time and the food is not horrible but very sub-par and not worth the wait and definitely not worth the price. Tourist trap 100 percent. Very upsetting to not have a better meal than just going to a fast food establishment. Basically a Bubbas but 2 to 2.5 times the price and poor care to the food. Had the chicken fried steak, overcooked, over breaded and dry. Potatoes were actually great and staff were also. Food, no and there were 5 of us, not one was pleased with the quality on price. Go to a local place here. Cheaper and better.

Yelp
You HAVE to come here to see the unrivaled sunset views. So beautiful. We sat upstairs in the deck. There was live music The food was delicious. But the drinks were waaaaay too sweet. Service was not bad!

Yelp
I never miss a chance to eat at Doc's Seafood. Last visit I had the Red Fish. Slap yo Mamma good. Seriously, I have been to Doc's 4 times over 3 visits to Padre Island area. Everyone is friendly and efficient. Live music every time I've been there. Portions are great. This place is casual and a must visit when you are in the area!!!!

Yelp
Stopped in on the recommendation of a friend. Did not disappoint. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Had the Tuna fish tacos. They were loaded down and well worth it. Kids selections were plentiful for a family visit. Sat on the balcony and enjoyed the bar parking show. Live music was a nice touch. Will be back on our next visit to Corpus Christi.

Yelp
If you like fried seafood this could be for you. I just happen not to. I go because my family and friends love it and I love them and the view is stellar. It's clean and the service is on point, so that's good, right?

Yelp
I visit Corpus Christi two to three times a year, and every trip includes multiple meals at Doc's. It's hands down my favorite waterside seafood spot--quintessential coastal dining. The food, service, and atmosphere are consistently excellent. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive, and I can always count on finding a fresh, flavorful fish dish--either on the main menu or featured on the specials board just inside the front door. Oh, and while I'm more of an Old-Fashioned or bourbon guy, their frozen margaritas are a must. Don't skip them! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

We had a great time! Loved that there was live music and a beautiful view. We got there just in time for the sunset. The bacon wrapped shrimp, fish tacos, green beans, potatoes were absolutely amazing.

Yelp
The food is fantastic. I always go for a catch of the day with a tropical cocktail. Service is quick and friendly. A casual stop with incredible views. A beach trip isn't complete without Doc's!

Yelp
Our waitress Ally was amazing! She had a great personality and made dining at Doc'a fun! The food was amazing and always is very tastey there! Only thing I would say is that food took a while to come out, but they were slammed busy.

Yelp
Food and service were amazing! We've eaten at a few on the water restaurants in this area and this one is by far the best! The view was great. We sat in the middle of restaurant and was still able to see the water! 5 out of 5!

Yelp
Service was Excellent! Food was so-so. The cooking oil was probably a little old. Otherwise everything was ok.

Yelp
First time here while vacationing in Port Aransas. Recommended by a friend and so glad we came. We had The CATCH of the day. Crab stuffed flounder with Remoulade sauce, green beans, roasted red potatoes. Everything was DELISH and waitress was spot on! We'll be back. Bonus ..... we were there for Tequila Thursday. 5.00 margs
