Restaurante Coco Loco

Beautiful restaurant with a direct view of the beach — the scenery alone makes it worth visiting! The menu had a great variety of options, and everything we tried was very good. Service was friendly and efficient, and prices were reasonable for the quality and location. Overall, an excellent spot to enjoy good food with a stunning ocean view.

My wife, son and I drove down the dirt road beside Playa Flamingo, nice and slow due to all the pot holes, to this cool little restaurant across from the beach… Coco Loco. My son and I ordered their featured drink, the Coco Loco, served in a coconut, and it was delicious. I also ordered their Loco Coco meal, which was a seafood stew, also served in a coconut, so tasty. View was great, prices were reasonable and the service could not have been better. Highly recommended

Our server, Rachell, was wonderful. She was very attentive and gave good recommendations. All of our dishes were very good. Parking was difficult at the 5:00 hour due to people parking on the street to see the sunset (no fault of Coco Loco). I highly recommend the restaurant and our server.

Deiber, our server was extremely attentive, friendly and suggestive of what meals to order. He enhanced our dining experience. I have been to several restaurants throughout Costa Rica and all the food is outstanding. However Coca Loco is by far the best seafood around. All fresh!!! I plan on visiting a few more times before we depart! Make sure to ask for Deiber, he will steer you in the right direction

Great place to watch the sunset. Menu is somewhat concise but they seem to do everything on the menu extremely well. Ate there twice and had their special grilled fish with rice and vegetables and it was great. The steak grilled tableside on a volcanic rock is also delicious and innovative. Just don’t accidentally rest your arm on the rock!

This place is great !! Favorite place we have been to eat, and the atmosphere/location is perfect. Manuel was our host and he was very friendly and helpful giving us recommendations of our food. He also helped us give us recommendations to activities to do in the area! You can come watch sunset right outside and eat great food and drinks here! Coconut plates here are delicious and the steak plates are delicious as well! Great staff as well. Must visit location !!

Great spot at Pkaya Flamingo, good atmosphere, food and drinks. We tried their Cocoloco cocktail in a coconut and it was delicious. Our server seemed distracted as each one of us in our party had to repeat our orders to him multiple times as he was looking at another table. Aside from that it was great!

This was our second visit on this trip to Coco Loco in a week. The food is always great and the sunsets are amazing. On this trip however, our server, the only female working, so it shouldn't be hard to figure out who she was, was atrocious. We have been to Costa Rica several times and have always loved the service here, but tonite this particular server was an absolute disgrace. Halfway through her moody service, she disappeared for a while, replaced by an amazing guy who was wonderful. When she returned she said she had a meeting with her boss, a meeting that I can only assume was based on the obviously miserable service she was giving our table. Even upon her return she was still full of attitude and came off like she was needing to be high and mighty with every sentence she spoke. At the end of the meal, even with my wife paying for the meal, she still only looked at me and refused to even thank my wife. Brutal. Get over yourself lady, you're nothing special. It takes a lot to get me to write a review on here, let alone a negative one. If you're in any way in charge of Coco Loco and see this, check your schedules. The female server, not the hostess, working the front few tables at 5pm on November 18 is a problem. Her disgusting attitude and condescending mannerisms have no place in the hospitality industry. She totally wrecked what would have been an otherwise amazing evening. If you're considering this place for dinner I'd honestly consider other places. There are many wonderful places to choose from, and the servers there aren't like her. Costa Rica is too perfect to let some miserable person take your money while acting how she does. She is 100% of the reason why people don't like mandatory tips added to their bills. Useless servers like this get away with terrible service, get tipped, and no one is the wiser. At very best, she should be in the back washing dishes, not out with the people who are spending money at this establishment. Hire better. She'll cost you way more than she'll ever make you.
