Claire's At the Museum

Beautiful, quaint spot. We were seated at our reservation time. The latte was pretty, but wasn't spectacular, but my son downed TWO hot chocolates! The food was beautifully presented and tasted very good. The service was wonderful. There were several celebrations going on outside with us, so it's definitely a place for that. I would definitely visit again.

I had the vegan burger and fries for brunch. I was seated on the back patio with yellow umbrellas providing shade. It was very scenic. The ocean breeze added nicely to the ambiance. The food was fabulous. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was the perfect place to enjoy breakfast at the beach.

Me and my friends came for brunch. This was my first time coming and we got a seat near the ledge. The view was spectacular. The server was polite and took her time in taking our order even though we wanted small modifications to be made. They were able to accommodate everything. The drinks were spot on along with Clair’s burger we ordered with a vegan patty (modified). Definitely recommend everyone to come here and have meals. All I wished is they took reservations for small parties before hand.

Beautiful view of Long Beach while eating. Food was good, service was good. A great place to take friends and family for a bite to eat and the Museum is right next door.

Despite a large group being there for an event, the wait time was only about 15 minutes to be seated. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the outdoor seating offered beautiful views near the water. The French toast was the best I’ve ever had, and the steak and eggs were cooked to perfection.

Gorgeous views and pleasant staff. We came here for a birthday brunch and were very happy with our experience here. 🥪 🍔: we ordered the salmon BLT and the Claire’s Burger. The Claire’s burger outshined the sandwich by a long shot. It was so delicious. Glad my partner and I were sharing. 🍹: they were out of the first cocktail I wanted but ended up getting a Blackberry Ginger cocktail. It was refreshing especially on a hot day. 🚗. They have a small free parking lot but it fills up quickly- we had to park a few blocks away and walk

I'm a lifelong Long Beach resident who has walked by this museum countless times, but I never thought to visit until now. I'm so glad I finally did! The experience was phenomenal. The exhibits were engaging and well-curated, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I especially want to give a shout-out to Diana, who went above and beyond to make my visit enjoyable. She deserves a raise! 😆

You can't beat the ambiance and view at Claire's!! Wowowowow!! For that alone I gave it 5 stars. We didn't have reservations and we were grateful to get right in at lunch on a Saturday. The food was good...and the presentation was nice. I split the lemon pancakes and salmon BLT with my friend. A bit pricey for what you get...but again, you're paying for the view. Our server was great. She wasn't overbearing but attentive.

Long Beach is the midpoint between a friend group of mine so we met in the morning for yoga in the park and after walked over to Claire's at the Museum for brunch. We had reservations so the four of us were seated right away. The two people ahead of us were turned away because there was an hour wait. It really didn't seem too busy. The seating is outside under umbrellas. We ordered seasonal lemonades to start, which were simply ok. Two of us ordered the turkey club with sweet potato fries, the other two ordered the spring salad one with grilled salmon the other with smoked salmon. The sandwiches and sweet potatoes were good but not extraordinary. Evidently the salads were good too because the girls finished them both. The server was polite but there was nothing really great about the service she gave. I think she may have been new because she had to read to us what the seasonal lemonades were because she couldn't remember. We didn't see our server again until after our food was delivered and she asked us if everything tasted good as soon as our plates were put in front of us. We hadn't had a chance to pick up a fork. We didn't see her again until we were almost done. My friend had a gnat in her lemonade but didn't get another until we were done eating because the server didn't make herself available. We had originally asked for separate checks but in the end she said she couldn't remember who got what so she just had us number the items on the check to go together. I kinda think a person has to be pretty scattered if they're unable to split the check up on their own but that really wasn't a big deal. Overall the food and service was not so good that we'd come back because Long Beach has so many other options!

The food was great! I had the salmon BLT and it was honestly delicious. The view from the patio is gorgeous, especially on a beautiful, sunny day. Our server was attentive and not overbearing. I'll be back!

Wonderful atmosphere overlooking the ocean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was decent, not the best but better than average. I think my biggest issue is price for what is given. The tomato soup and grilled cheese was very basic for the price. But overall I still enjoyed it and would come back

Claire's is a mostly solid brunch experience. I've gone about 3-4 times and each time is about the same. Parking can be rough on the weekends with such a small lot, but what can you really expect being on ocean blvd. The menu is really solid, borderline strong. It changes slightly and I always find multiple items to choose from. The drinks are overpriced in my opinion, but they have some fun tasting options. The staff are fine, not particularly great but far from bad. Sometimes you will wait a little longer for your food but nothing egregious. The views are always spectacular. The umbrellas are both iconic and necessary on a hot day, though the umbrella won't cover everyone at all times. There is a bathroom on site as well. I don't find myself ever leaving particularly wow-ed by my visits, but this is a go to option for me who wants an authentic "beachy" brunch vibe.

Great food, my friend and I had eggs Benedict, Crème brûlée French Toast, Sweet Potato Fries, and the Claire's Champagne Special. Nice vibes. Service was approachable and friendly. Would go again.

Love this restaurant for many reasons....here we go! Most beautiful oceanfront restaurant next to the Long Beach Museum! Ambience is gorgeous on a sunny day! From the moment, my friends and I walked in, we were greeted warmly and excellent service all around! Our server was Diane, and she was absolutely the most friendliest and accommodating server ever! Always had a smile on her face, even with our indecision on what to order because everything looks so delicious lol! Thank you too the chef, cooks and bartender! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious!! After our delicious brunch, we headed over to the museum and that was beautiful experience as well ! If you get a chance, I highly recommend visiting this place. You will not be disappointed.

We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday. The staff is very welcoming and even got the birthday boy a celebratory glass of champagne. The ambiance is lovely with views of the beach. After ordering mimosas, we started with sweet potato fries. For our main dishes, we got lemon ricotta pancakes, creme brulee french toast, smoked salmon benedict, and a side of bacon. Mimosas- We ordered a variety and they were all sweet and refreshing. The strawberry one was my favorite. I appreciate the freshness of the juice they used. They do not skimp on the bubbly either. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes- The pancakes were fluffy and soft with a nice crisp edge. The lemon curd adds a lovely brightness and it's enhanced with maple syrup and a generous heaping of fresh fruit. Creme Brulee French Toast- The toast was custardy and rich. The bruleed top was the icing on the cake! Also served with syrup and the fruits cuts through the sweetness and adds a burst of citrus and freshness. Smoked Salmon Benedict- This was a nice savory meal. The salmon was smoky and blended with the gooey egg perfectly. The english muffin provided a good base for the other elements. Sweet Potato Fries- I could eat this forever! These were fried to get that beautiful crispy exterior while leaving the insides nice and soft. Served with ketchup and garlic aioli. Side Bacon- Crisp and meaty. I would recommend taking bites in between the sweet entrees to give your meal a balance. We had a lovely time! Thanks for making our special occasion extra fun!

Came for Sunday brunch. Our waiter was Parker. He was very professional, efficient & sweet. Food was good, we loved the outdoor ambience. Which came with ocean views. The perfect way to spend a beautiful weekend.

Stopped by Claire's for brunch today after coming across it online. Wow, glad I did! This place is phenomenal! The views are hard to beat being right on the water. The staff was on point and super accommodating. The Eggs Benedict and Spicy Chicken Sandwich were both FIRE! Oh, and their spicy Bloody Mary and cold brew martini were also phenomenal! Go here...

When in Huntington Beach I love having breakfast here. The yellow umbrellas cover the back area of the museum. Each time ive gone I've been told there would be a long wait. One hour was the last estimated wait. We chose to wait and noticed several tables available both visits. We were a party of two and actually only waited 20 minutes. Since this is the second experience I'm assuming they want customers to feel they are busier than they are actually are or don't want customers. I wonder how many hungry paying customers went else where after being told there was along wait. Anyway, it was my friends first time there even through she lived in Huntington Beach and I wanted her to admire the beauty of the ocean view under the large umbrellas and delicious entrées. The food was amazing!!

This place has an amazing view, with the perfect weather and a nice breeze this place is perfect. If you get cold easily, bring a few layers to ensure you enjoy your meal. After a 35 min wait our party was seated with the perfect view of the beach. Our server came by after a few minutes to take our drink order. We order a mix of sweet and savory dishes. The spicy chicken sandwich, not spicy. The cookie butter French toast was great. Our server seemed to have many tables and was overwhelmed, he checked up on as twice and we had to flag him down for more coffee and the check. Parking can be a bit tricky, they have street parking available and additional parking a bit further down which is also busy. So be patient, it's worth it!

First of all, I tried 2 other places that happened to be closed before I crossed this place on my all back home. I was starving. There's a vegan burger with fries on the menu, so I sat down with high hopes (especially for the price, which is stupidly high for a burger). The burger came out on regular sandwich bread that had been grilled (not a bun as advertised). It's an in house made patty from I don't know what, but it was complete flavorless mush. The grilled bread was the only thing with texture. I ate a few bites before giving up on the burger. Let's talk about the French fries, because that's kinda hard to f up. The French fries had good texture, however had a weird aftertaste similar to how goats and other farm animals smell. How that happens is totally beyond me. The fries were served with a side of ketchup and a not vegan side of ranch (thank you kitchen man for telling me before you set the plate down). All in all it was pretty gross, which sucks because this is a beautiful fancy brunch spot. The server was super awesome and didn't charge me for the gross food and very sincerely apologized for the lack of bun (apparently they ran out and didn't tell anyone) and terrible food. For that reason I'll give it one star. Not recommended for vegans.

Amazing views of the water! I was visiting from out of town, and I'm glad I stopped by to catch some sunshine. I got the Claire burger, and it was a solid burger. Brioche bun, caramelized onions, but I wish there was some sort of sauce because it was lacking. Still tasty! My friends got the Benedict and the Country breakfast plate. They both enjoyed what they got.

The food and service were good! I love their food and the view is amazing. One of my favorite places to brunch at.

I'm so happy I finally tried Claire's! I went with a group of friends and it was a great time! Of course the view is fantastic. And it's lovely that every table had an umbrella. Each of us tried something different and everyone really liked their plates. I tried the crème brûlée French toast and unfortunately it was a little too sweet for me, but I'm normally a savory brunch person anyways, it's just the crème brûlée aspect was so appealing. I should have gotten the Croque de Madame. That looked fantastic! My other friend tried the chilaquiles and her boyfriend got the breakfast burrito and our other friend tried the burger. All really solid choices. We did also get the mimosa special which made it a great time. Our server was very friendly, and checked on us relatively frequently. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time. I would definitely definitely go back!

Family brunch at Claire's! Loved the food. The fries are delicious! It was foggy when we arrived but as time went on the visibility of Catalina became clearer. Our server and host were very friendly. They had a basket of blankets for those who felt a little chill outdoors. Parking was easy. Found a spot in the neighborhood and walked over.

You pay a premium for the location and views. Claire's at the Museum is a gem of a restaurant. Great place for brunch/lunch with a great view. Dining al fresco. I highly recommend the Creme' Brule' French Toast, which my wife loved, and Ican vouch for the Breakfast Burrito, which is both tasty and filling, it is stuffed with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage and cheese. Great place for Sat. or Sun. brunch, your out-of-town guests will appreciate the sweeping ocean view and fun location.

This is another local "IYKYK" places. It's a great place to go have a bite to eat with a beautiful view of the Long Beach shoreline. I usually take people here from out of town and they love it. It can be difficult to eat here if you don't have reservations. We were a party of 3 with no reservations but shockingly we only had to wait about 25mins for a table. Parking can also be hard. There is a small lot but I have never been able to find parking there so I had to park in the neighborhood and walk (which wasn't terrible). Food: the food is always never bad. It's not mind blowing but it's good. I had the Chilaquiles. They were decent. Service was good. Overall it's a place that you is on my rotation when I want to eat at the beach.

Went here for Mothers Day weekend with my daughter . Ambience 10.Food quality 10.service10. It's a beautiful venue right by the ocean in the museums back yard. Wait time 45 minutes even with reservation. I want to go back soon as it is decorated very festively for Holidays. There is a lot to choose from on menu. Presentation a 10. A great place to take friends family while visiting Long Beach!

Finally had the opportunity to come visit Claire's at the museum as I work weekends and they are opened limited hours ! Surprisingly parking was a breeze , someone was leaving right as I hit the little dead end right next to the museum. We walked up host let us know that there will be a 10min wait and we walked around, unfortunately actual museum was closed. Got seated next to the fountain and wow just a great view of the fountain with the ocean in the background . Waiter came around got our drink and starters order while we went through menu, waiter was super nice ! For starters got avocado toast and fries . Avocado toast was paired perfectly with the flavors , and fries were perfectly seasoned and fried and the sauces were great. After I ordered the chilaquiles & the reviews do not lie , these have been some of the best chilaquiles I've had , even the microwaved left overs the next day tasted good ! Overall amazing ambience , would love to come and check out their salmon blt next ! And I as well felt prices were reasonable

The view is SPECTACULAR! We had a party of about 15 and they were so attentive.They even gave us the option to sit inside because it looked like it was going to rain.We said no,but they told us they set it up anyway just in case and use it if needed. Our waiter PARKER was fabulous!! The Salmin BLT-A WAS RHE BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED! BUG AND JUICY.rhe sourdough bread was perfect.Rhe sauce that c9nes eith it was just as good.I could have drank it with a straw. The breakfast plates were delicious. The steak was ok.They put what looks like is a cup of pico on top,but still good. Definitely going back.

Finally got the chance to come check this place out. It wasn't to full when I got there around 10:30 AM so we didn't have to wait to get seated, however service was a little slow, but once our order was finally taken we got our food rather quickly. Now to the food, it was great especially the French toast we got! Seemed to be outside seating only, so will definitely want to come back here during spring or summer!

I got to give a five since the view is breathtaking and the service is well done. We went here for brunch on the weekend and happened to get a table right on the edge over look LB water with a cleared perfect day, therefore we got to take our time to enjoy the view so a bottle of champagne was ordered. And of course foods and dessert too, they are all good but we just chilled for couple hours and it was worth it.

Next time I'd love to try their croque madame, which seems like a savory version of what I had! This was my second time here and it was perfect. Grabbed an amazing lunch with my college bestie here. ***LOCATION*** This place is gorgeous. My friend said he'd get married here it's that gorgeous. It's located "at the Museum" (Long Beach Museum of Art) and has a gorgeous view at its outdoor seating. ***EXPERIENCE*** I cannot express enough how amazing our server, Yasmin, was! She was super charming and fun to talk to. She helped me pick what to order and we even had great conversation. I ended up getting the root salad which was exactly what my body was craving. The combo of cooked and fresh veggies with the added chicken was perfect for me. My friend comes here often and he got the chilaquiles. I had a bite and it was divine. ***PRICE*** My bill came out to about $26 with tip. ***BATHROOM*** There are Women and Men bathrooms inside. There were plenty of stalls in the Women bathroom. ***CONCLUSION*** I highly recommend visiting this spot for lunch. You'll get delicious food, amazing views, and incredible service.

I've lived in SoCal since 72'. Never been here or the museum before. My wife brought me for brunch. Where have I been?!! It was perfect! A sunny Southern California day with a gentle breeze. Not too loud. Servers were all very nice. and the food was delicious! Drinks were all very good as well. This would be a great place for a wedding too! (Note: reservations for 5 or more. We were only 3 and had a 30 minute wait at noon on Saturday)

Claire's is likely one of the best brunch spots in LB. Our servers were upfront about which dishes are best to order when our party was conflicted between a few options. There are a lot of drink options, which can be overwhelming. Don't be afraid to ask the servers to sub out an alcohol base or mix flavors as needed, since they seem to be flexible there. We ended up choosing the Croque Madam to share (servers split the plates without us asking which is a plus) which came with maple syrup on the side and was by far the best dish. For maple syrup skeptics, I recommend adding some syrup anyways to complement the ham. The citrus pancakes were decent as well, but were slightly burnt. However, the lemon curd topping and berries saved the day. Recommend coming early to get on the waitlist as it gets fairly crowded starting at around 11 am. For couples on dates, try asking for a spot on the edge of the patio for a view of the beach.

Claire's is a lovely restaurant and I so enjoy going here. This overcast morning I came with a friend for breakfast. I decided to order the lobster omelette special. I'm sorry to say that it was a big disappointment. The lobster was quite rubbery. BUT, the coffee was delicious! I had 3 cups . Service was also excellent. I'll be back....but, no more lobster omelettes.

Such a cute breakfast spot w a beach front view! I recommend coming before they open at 8am to avoid long waits which is what we did. The chilaquiles were a great choice with a good balance of meat, cheese, beans, and cheese! You also can't go wrong with steak and eggs, a classic breakfast. We tried the Brûlée French toast but unfortunately the berry jam above the toast made it a bit softer than we would like LOL maybe would recommend to have the berry jam on the side and pour on top as you please to maintain that crunch :) Service was quick and they were very friendly! Would def come back for another brunch date

First off, we waited for almost an hour... we killed time in the museum next door...but it was only at the gift shop since you have to pay for an entrance fee lol. Service here is really slow...even when we got seated. I mean...the view is really nice since you see the ocean/beach. But the tables/chairs were very...picnic-y let's say. I feel like you would enjoy just as long as you're with good company. Most the seats are outdoors, beware for bugs of course. We had a lot of ants joining us for brunch . Food was mid. Don't expect anything super fancy or Michelin star tasty. It was definitely delicious & made us full though! Margs were a hit as well! Come here to yap with your girls over a nice view!

What's not to love about a restaurant in the middle of a museum with stunning views of the ocean with food and drinks to match? That's what you get when you go to Clair's at the Museum. Parking is on the street and on a Sunday around 11:00 am we had a 30min wait. During the wait we got drinks at the bar. You can see the ocean from just about every seat as far as I can tell. My party enjoyed the Croque Madame, French toast and fried chicken sandwich. Service was great as we had lots of questions before ordering. Great for impressing out of town guests or yourself.

For those who have climbed mountains, whose peaks are cloud-adjacent, whose paths are long and steep, and are known by names like the Alps of Woe or Death's Climb or Punitive Peaks, I applaud you! For you have grit, fortitude and a soul that demands that you mount and cross strenuous hills, which I heard are the path to hell on sore legs. Your victory allows you to plant a flag atop the destination's climb, but it also reminds us- non-mountain climbers- that these accomplishments are an unshakable commitment to exercise and strain. This type of act is worthy of praise, and we all know that, but commitment to one's body and mind is not just observed in the literal climbs to the top. For on the other side of the mountain, there is another type of exercise that does not get as much attention but also requires developed commitment: Enjoying brunch with clear focus, while your head and heart are in the clouds. Brunch requires a person to understand that tastefully devouring food on a Saturday and/or Sunday is not a meal to solely enjoy. No. Brunch is a commitment to leisure- unspoiled, observed and trained for. And I recently reached a new summit of joyful sensation: Claire's at the Museum. True, I did not climb Everest, but I did allow myself to escape the trial of living by dedicating myself to this moment that took years of leisure-dining to achieve. Some climb peaks to demonstrate their commitment to toil, others eat brunch to demonstrate their commitment to the time-stopping benefits of pamper-all-around. Claire can be considered an outdoor restaurant. It has yellow umbrellas, in case you need a visual cue to know you have found the right place. It is more of a patio with good service, good food more than a restaurant. The serenity of Claire's is inspired and framed by the beauty of the day. I went recently on a Spring California day, where the weather was chilly, but for a Californian, a person from Illinois (Illinoisian?) would describe the chill as a nip to neglect. The sun light around was textbook warmth. Across the patio is a beach, and an ocean, with ships, and people, just lounging. Next to the tables there is a fountain blue in color- but blue in the light turquoise family- and shaped kind of weird- so it art to view and enjoy in-between huevo ranchero bites. Seriously, the restaurant greets the day, and allows it to stay like a visitor who will never stink like fish, or eat the last of the ice-cream. It is a visitor that uplifts you with care-free effort, and nudges you to comfort, while it puts its slippers on your feet. The menu is one page--- it is small, and narrow. I like my brunch menus to be more expansive. But that is me. Some people like novels that are lean and inspiring like of Mice and Men, and other people, like long books that take days to read, like Pride and Prejudice. I ordered the Salmon BLT, with a side of fingerling potatoes. It was a strong show. The salmon felt caught, and cooked with care. It was a slab of fish, and it held itself against, the bread, the lettuce, the tomato, the aioli, and I never forgot that a salmon was the star of the show. So the Salmon beat the bacon, which is really a moment of damn--- cause I never thought I would have the opportunity to decide between Salmon and Bacon, cause more BLT's are enhanced with ham or turkey. My fellow diners seemed happy with their food too. My friend's partner got huevo ranchers with everything on the side. The dish came with a protein, the server and my friend's partner called the protein meat. So when the eater asked the server, what meats are available, egg was given as an option. If you hear during brunch the wind will whisper inside jokes for you and her. Why did I give the wind a female identity? I imagine because dresses twirl better due to a gust of wind that raises with all the colors of the box! I will go here again for peace, pleasure, joy, and good eats. Or in other words I will go here to enjoy brunch again!

Claire's has always been our favorite place to go for our anniversary. We got married at the museum 19 years ago and every year we make it a tradition to have brunch on our anniversary. Last year we had a bit of a hiccup because they were not taking any more walk ins for the day, but since this was our anniversary and we had traveled far, they accommodated us. This year the manager, Andrii went above and beyond by reserving a table for us and had champagne ready. Our server, Parker, was absolutely amazing and friendly. The whole staff made us feel like VIPs!! We had the creme brulee French toast and the country breakfast. Always our favorite. And the Horchata latte was one of the best I've had!! Overall, the best experience we've had. We can't say enough about Claire's and the museum!! Definitely recommend to eat or even have your wedding or event here!!

I was really excited to take my friend from out of town to Claire's as I've always had a good experience. Unfortunately, it was less so this time around. First of all they did not have the patio open because the ground was wet ( not raining just wet). It was a bummer but totally understandable. Then she ordered the Eggs Benedict and the poached egg was hard boiled rather than runny. When we told the staff she didn't apologize but looked annoyed. She returned with two more poached eggs which were also hard boiled but slightly soft in the middle. Not runny at all. Her response to that was "well they all get cooked together and then sit in warm water so there is nothing we can do". Our waiter was super apologetic and offered us free coffee. However, his co worker's lack of customer service was a bummer. I'm hoping it's a one off!

Windows of building not that clean tables are simple. However, service was friendly and waiter was knowledgeable and personable. Once seated food came out quick. Ordered the chilaquiles had a bit of a spicy kick but was good. The crème brûlée French toast was big and fluffy not too dense and the fruit tasted fresh. The peach lemonade was bomb refreshing. Mimosa was good too. Portion size to price point I would say it worth it. Would come again!

Was visiting from Oklahoma and wanted brunch by the beach and came across Claire's. It was PERFECT! Ordered the Croque Madame and now my mission is to find something similar in Oklahoma because I can't stop thinking about it!! Also enjoyed a strawberry mimosa as well as a horchata latte. Both were delicious! Service was top notch as well! Hope to return next time I'm in town!

I brought my mama here for a belated Mother's Day's brunch. I've been wanting to bring my mama for some time. I've been here on several occasions. So I knew my mother would enjoy it. And boy, did she ever!! The host was very accommodating and made my mother feel at home. The host was able to find a table with an incredible view. Diane, our server was very pleasant and attentive. Making sure my mother's beverage was always topped off. The wait staff also made sure my coffee cup was full and piping hot. For brunch, my mother had Croque Madame and I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Both dishes were made perfectly. So delicious. We will be visiting real soon.

Really great views of the beach. Service was cordial and welcoming. Really enjoyed my Croque Madame.
