The Best Exhibitions To See In Paris Right Now: Spring/Summer 2025

Hosting the exhibition ‘Azzedine Alaïa, Thierry Mugler’, this intimate fashion space traces the creative crossover between two legendary designers. Long before designer collaborations were ubiquitous on Instagram, Alaïa quietly created pieces for Thierry Mugler in the late 1970s, and the show follows that partnership from the unforgettable tuxedo designs from Mugler’s 1979–80 collection. Tucked inside the foundation, it reads as a love letter to craftsmanship, mentorship and the kind of fashion storytelling that helped shape an era, making it a must for couture lovers and fashion obsessives. - Zoé Terouinard

Visiting Azzedine Alaïa Foundation felt intimate and quietly powerful. The space honors Alaïa’s work with deep respect—letting the craftsmanship speak for itself. Seeing his dresses up close, across different periods, makes you appreciate the precision, sensuality, and timelessness of his designs. Nothing feels rushed or overly theatrical; it’s thoughtful, calm, and deeply focused on the clothes. A beautiful experience that stays with you long after you leave, especially if you care about fashion as art and discipline rather than spectacle.

A wonderful hidden gem. Always worth a visit. A quiet escape from busy Marais into Azzedine's home and workplace. We saw already two exhibitions and both were stunning. Also great to just relax and have a coffee.

Visiting the Alaïa Foundation in Paris feels like stepping into a temple of timeless beauty — a place where creativity, craftsmanship, and pure emotion intertwine. Nestled quietly in the Marais, the space radiates the spirit of Azzedine Alaïa — intimate, soulful, and profoundly human. Every corner whispers his story — from the meticulous stitching on a garment to the quiet reverence of the atelier. You don’t just see fashion here; you feel the devotion behind it. The foundation preserves not just his masterpieces but also his philosophy — that true elegance is born from integrity, freedom, and love for the craft. The exhibitions are curated with such tenderness and respect that one can sense Alaïa’s presence — his discipline, generosity, and unwavering eye for beauty. The team at the foundation carries his legacy with genuine warmth and grace, welcoming visitors like guests to a friend’s creative home rather than a formal museum. It’s rare to encounter a space so intimate yet universal, where artistry and humanity coexist so harmoniously. The Alaïa Foundation is not only a tribute to a visionary designer but a living reminder that fashion, at its best, can be art — and art, at its deepest, can be love. ❤️

A small but intimate tribute to Alaia. His tenderness and passion for fashion and design is transmits deeply when you step into the space. Collections rotate — definitely a stop for me every time I’m in Paris!

It was a very small museum and featured his more recent collection, but as a fashion enthusiast, I really enjoyed it. I especially loved the display of his workroom. Would have been better is they featured display of his older designs

Niche fashion museum that's hidden in small corner of Le Marais. They have mostly fashion exhibition, there is also a small wine/ cafe in the courtyard area with a bookstore. This is my favorite place to introduce my friend.

This was my first time to the space, and I really enjoyed the natural light and range of garments on display. As others have said the bookshop has a wide variety of publications, and there is a sweet seating area for food and drink. The view into the workroom upstairs was interesting to see in it's preserved state. I will look out for more exhibitions here in the future, and the ticket prices are more than reasonable!

The place is all it has to be: Museum, library and bistrot. The curation of the exhibit is impeccable, gowns are in perfect conditions. The library has great books and independent magazines about fashion. Found a book I had been wanting for 10 years there. I didn't try food nor coffee but presentation seemed good and hanging around books seems like a nice way of enjoying them.
