Great garden(s). Japanese garden is amazing. Cactus collection is also pretty awesome. Not crowded due to limited access. You’ll probably need to see other reviews for more useful feedback opinion from more garden-oriented people. (Do not get me wrong, I do like plants)

No doubt about it, this place is absolutely gorgeous! So much to see, so peaceful, a real reprieve from stress. However, giving only 3 stars due to the pricing. You are only allowed 2 hours in your time slot to see so much. We could only cover maybe half of the gardens, and had to rush at that. You'd need to come twice to see the entire gardens at a non-rushed pace, and at $60 a ticket, that's a lot of money for 4 hours of a self-guided walk through a garden.

TOTALLY worth the price of admission. Book well in advance, because they DO sell out. The number of tickets per visit slot are limited, so it never felt crowded. I’m glad did the self guided tour, because we could wander and linger as we pleased, stopping to draw, meditate or just breathe in the verdant peace of this place. There is a docent led tour available, but don’t be afraid to choose the self-guided option. There are volunteers everywhere to help you navigate the gardens. Make sure to stop at the store on the way out-they had all kinds of cool plants for sale at reasonable prices.

What a gorgeous and beautiful place to visit. Its so well kept. They give you a map help you get around and if you get lost like me, there's volunteers around to help you. The volunteers are very nice and helpful. They went above and beyond in guiding me on where to go and took my disability into consideration. The plants and flowers are beautiful. It's a really nice place to relax and enjoy its beauty.

One of the must-see premier gardens in the United States. Stunning mix of unique plant material and California natives, from succulents to pollinators. The Japanese garden, and the water feature akin to one in the Alhambra are just two amazing highlights . Book early given controlled admittance during the year.

This is the third time I have visited Lotusland. I live in AZ and would come every week if I was closer. It’s an absolute gem of a destination. I highly recommend a docent tour! Just an incredible experience.

Such a beautiful botanic garden with so many rare plants. Our second time going and we learned more new information. A definite must if you’re in the area.

This place is beautiful. I have nothing negative to say about it. But if you want to visit, plan early because tickets sell out very quickly after becoming available. We caught the last lotus bloom for the season, luckily it had just opened the night before. Lotus season looks to be June - September, peaking in July/August.
