The Morris Museum of Art houses a great collection with an emphasis on Southern Art paintings, portraits, glass sculptures, and a rotating exhibition in one of the front rooms.
The main entrance is accessed from the Augusta Riverwalk, with admission being five dollars.
Thanks to Bank of America, the admission fee is not charged on Sunday.
There is something here for everyone, and you can certainly spend several hours enjoying the various galleries. Galleries include; Nineteenth Century Portraits, Contemporary Art in the South, Abstraction in the South, The Southern Landscape, and many more just to name a few.
I enjoyed my time at the Morris Museum. If you are a fan of Southern art or want to learn more about it, this is a place to visit.
