The 16 Best Restaurants In Nassau, Bahamas - Nassau - The Infatuation

"Cafe Matisse is one of Nassau’s oldest restaurants and maybe its best for people-watching. Channel your inner Shonda Rhimes and invent backstories for the people from the nearby House of Assembly and financial offices who are meeting for hushed lunches and early dinners. It’s a good spot for both those meals, especially if you can snag a spot on the sun-kissed patio. Prioritize anything involving seafood, specifically the lobster salad abundant with avocado and citrus and the simple, off-menu pappardelle with shrimp and lobster pieces dressed in a rich, pecorino cream sauce." - ashleigh sean rolle

"A longtime favorite of European expats, this hidden-away downtown restaurant serves refined Italian cuisine with a Bahamian twist. The house-made gnocchi here might be created from tropical cassava, rather than potato; tagliatelle maybe accompanied by morsels of locally caught hogfish. If the weather’s pleasant, ask for a table on the lovely courtyard patio."

I loved the atmosphere of this cozy and chic little spot. It was recommended to us and we were glad to have gone. There isn't tons of parking but once inside the tables and layout are nice, even the bathrooms are well done. We had the seafood fantasia salad and the curry shrimp and they were both quite good. I loved the steps of focaccia and the tomato bruschetta they offered as complimentary appetizers. Our waiter was perfect, really very good and I wish I'd known his name but it looked as if all of the waiters there were equally good. Would definitely recommend it.

Lovely restaurant in downtown Nassau, right next to the Supreme Court. The interior is beautiful and lively. The outdoor seating area also looked pleasant. Food was delicious. And all the servers were very attentive. Would highly recommend.

Excellent! What a fantastic dining experience the restaurant is very charming and well appointed (the air conditioning a bonus on a warm day). The outdoor seating looks great and leaves you wanting to return for the outdoor experience as well in cooler weather. The table service was beyond compare and the attention to detail with a refined table etiquette elevated the experience in preparation for the superb cuisine. The food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, and the portions perfect. We will most definitely be back. We highly recommend this restaurant experience.

The food was absolutely amazing! We had the steak and the pasta, and both were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The drinks were tasty and well made, and the chocolate mousse cake was outstanding, honestly the perfect way to end the meal. Our waiter, Hugh, was very attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience even better. Excellent food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Very cozy place. There are not a lot of places like that in Nassau. But this one is treasure. Atmosphere is esthetic, food is delicious. Tried both soups, and meat, and pasta, and appetizers. We were group of 12 people. Everybody loved this place. Enjoyed our staying outside. Quiet and cozy, like sitting in the Italian backyard.

The staff were super kind and welcoming. They brought over a second round of appetizers (which were delectable). Everything tasted amazing, especially the ravioli and octopus. The ravioli was super soft and tender, you could taste the love put into cooking it. The octopus was up there too! Don’t even get me started on dessert. The panna cotta and crème brûlée were mouth watering. It was delicious. Came out to around $400 for 5 people. Definitely a change in taste compared to some of the other meals around here.

I heard great reviews about this place and tried to. all for a reservation but they didn’t answer. I saw they had a bar online and took a chance and went for a seat at the bar. I got one! Food was delicious and the service was great! Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

5/5 service: Attentive staff who were so friendly. The owner actually came around to talk to everyone which was such a nice gesture. 5/5 food: The steak and lobster linguine were delicious and so filling. The prosciutto with melon was different but the right balance. The mango cheesecake was so fresh and delicious. Presentation and quality was on point. We walked in at 6pm on a Tuesday with no reservations and they had a spot.
