Family-run since 1958, Luigi’s is pure Midland nostalgia: dim lights, red sauce classics, and gracious hospitality. A perennial local favorite in readers’ polls, it’s where generations gather for chicken parm, lasagna, and a sense of continuity downtown.

Went early evening although full it was not noisy there was a table available. Tables look close together but you have plenty of space. Got order in and the food came out quickly salad first but the hot meal was close behind. If you like your food and plate hot then you will not be disappointed. Food was delicious and comforting. You can see from the prices it will not break the bank either.

I was staying at tge Wyndham hotel just down the street. Want food but not my usual resturants around. Italian food is usually good choice. I got the spaghetti garlic butter with 2 meatballs. It was very good. Didn't upset my stomach later like a lot of food can. $21.00 spaghetti and tea with 2-3 breadsticks.

Google
This place has a great atmosphere. Dim dining room with xandles on the tables, no windows, looking for Vito sitting in the corner. The service is top notch. Kind, fast, and knowledgeable. The food is good but is a bit lacking. I'm not sure but the meatballs could be frozen, the texture, flavor, and size are not what you should get from a homemade meatball. They were disappointing. The crab in the seafood alfredo was obviously imitation but a really bad imitation crab, the texture was not good. Overall our visit was pleasant and we might be back. Just wish those few things would have been better.

Been going to Luigi's since I was a kid. Food is still great, service is excellent and the lighting is better and an improvement. Candles in wine bottles are still on the table. Not much room so plan ahead.

The pastrami pizza with jalapeños is excellent and a must have for the table every year we visit

I absolutely loved this place, the food was delicious, our waitress was so personable, friendly and had amazing recommendations and even though the place feels small it was a very good atmosphere for talking and having conversations

Google
Very nice cozy place. We ordered the seafood fettuccine alfredo and salad. The food was delicious. The waitress was so nice and attentive. Come and check them out if you haven't. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
This was my first ever Italian restaurant as a little girl and now that I am almost 40yo, it has maintained its low prices with its fantastic charm! They have the candles in Chianti bottles with multilayered colors of wax with the red and white checkered tablecloth to make you feel like you are in that scene in Lady and the Tramp! The food is affordable yet classically delicious. Their marinara sauce is perfection and makes their simple spaghetti something you will crave late at night for years to come! However, the real magic is in their spumoni! If you leave without trying some, you are truly cheating yourself out of something special!

Yelp
Not what my wife and I were looking for, but what we found was a quiet nice small restaurant perfect setting for date night. Service staff on point, food was great. Will come back if ever in midland again.

Yelp
I've eaten here my whole life and it never disappoints. Their antipasto salad and super deluxe pizza snack is my go to. They also have a very friendly staff!
google avatar

Shamar F.

Yelp
This place has nostalgia. The food for one is amazing and second to none. From the cheese pizza to the spaghetti deluxe no one comes close. This place is full of memories and great midland history. Run by the most professional manager I've ever seen. And the staff treats you like family.

Yelp
Date night for some serious conversation. The place is quaint in a very authentic way. Menu had something for everyone on it, even little ones. Waited for a few minutes in the bar and the Godfather cocktails were on the money! Service was great and food was delicious.

Yelp
Classic Italian dishes and also the best pizza you'll ever eat! Our family has been going here for at least 3 generations! That's how good it is! The service is always good and the ambiance is slightly dated but very cozy and has a "back in time" feel!

Yelp
We drive all the way down from Lubbock for Luigi's Deluxe Pizza! It's that good! Please don't change a thing!

Yelp
Luigi's is a fabulous family restaurant. The food is delicious! The staff are friendly and welcoming! We visited on a recent trip through Midland with a large group. It was a wonderful experience. I will definitely visit again when traveling through Midland.

Yelp
I enjoyed the Spaghetti on top of the ravioli, half an half. Definitely will be ordering from them again. Good pasta and sauce

Yelp
I have been wanting to go here to eat many times, but never did, and I talked to a coworker who said he'd like to place. So tonight I went, the parking is extremely limited, but you can still find lots of parking in and around. That's pretty accessible. The place is very quaint and warm feeling, it remind you of a really nice authentic Italian restaurant. Service was great and the food was just as good, I had the stuffed manicotti with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce. And then for dessert I had tiramisu great place can't wait to go here again. If you like good Italian food and atmosphere then try it out.

Pamela L.

Yelp
This restaurant is an Italian icon. This family's dining experience is impeccable, as is the service. The very best that Midland has to offer bar none!!! Highly recommended to locals & visitors from any part of the country!
google avatar

Bria G.

Yelp
The service was great. I received a large portion of spaghetti. I had to take half of it home! The staff is friendly.

Teodoro V.

Yelp
First time trying this place. We ordered online. The pizza and cheese bread were cold even after waiting an extra 5 mins on the food order. Both looked and tasted mediocre. They forgot the chicken on the Chicken Caesar Salad. The 1/2 spaghetti 1/2 Ravioli was flavorless. Drenched in a tomato sauce. The beef filling in the ravioli was more of a soggy mush. Really had high hopes for this place. Might give it another try and Dine in.

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday night and we luckily got a parking spot, very difficult parking situation. We walked in through the front, many people were sitting in the bar waiting area and standing between the host and front door. After a few minutes, we realized they were takeout orders waiting so we walked up and put our name down for a table for 2. Then a couple behind us put their name down. Well they bring out a bunch of to go orders and let a large Prom group sit, then like 15 minutes go by and a family walks right on in and asks for a table- the other host doesn't even look at the list and seats them immediately. I brought it up with them and they apologized, sat 3 more groups then us and the couple behind us. Smh. I was going to give one star just for that. Waitress was awesome, food was great. She made up for the unorganized host and hostess. Just have one person up there? And make to go orders wait in the bar.

Jan R.

Yelp
We made a reservation for our party of 8, and our table was ready. Service was great, and as always, the food was wonderful. So glad we could take our family after Christmas.

Becca S.

Yelp
I always forget about Luigi's. Not anymore! I had the best chicken parmigiana I've ever had. I will definitely start going here for my Italian cravings.

Yelp
We just pulled into town last night and decided to get takeout. Between the 4 of us, we tried the lasagna, manicotti, spaghetti, and the chicken alfredo. All in all, it was an adequate meal. Portions were good. The garlic bread tasted stale and was hard as a rock. The red sauce was lacking in flavor, but overall, it was not bad. The alfredo sauce was super watery and lacked flavor. The lettuce in the salad was half brown, which was a huge turn-off. I think we would give it another chance dining in-house, but none of us were thoroughly impressed. For a $70.00 meal, I expected more...

Peggy N.

Yelp
Always very good food and service. Nice atmosphere, great for all ages. I would recommend it to anyone

Yelp
4.5 stars This place has gotten some mixed reviews on here, but it was recommended to us a local favorite from a lady that worked at the George W. Bush childhood home tour. (Little did I know, it was also touted after the fact by a friend that used to live in the area). And, it did not disappoint! This place was buzzing with lunchtime patrons last Wednesday and had the authentic red and white checkered table cloths. The single use restrooms were clean. Our waitress was super sweet and kept calling us "sweet hearts". My friend got the cup of minestrone and chicken parmigiana, other friend got the eggplant parmigiana, and our other friend the cannelloni. It took a little while to get our food, maybe it was the pizza oven or the busy-ness of the restaurant, but the fresh bread was a nice added touch. But, as soon as the food hit the table, there was silence (maybe it was also the fact that we had gotten an early start and had only had Clif bars for breakfast). I had gotten the build your own half pizza for $12.69 (and my tiny appetite) with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and black olives. The kind waitress even asked if I had wanted a side of ranch when it was brought to the table (mine took a bit longer than the others). She must've been reading my mind! The cheese was melty and there were only a few pieces of (thin) crust left on my plate when I was done. 2021 #26

Yelp
I haven't eaten here in 25 years. But grew up in midland. The food was just as good as I remember. Service was excellent. The Italian Groom's Cake was spectacular. I can't describe how good it was. I will dream about it forever. Cheers to the chef and the Luigi's staff. Job well done!!!!

Yelp
Hello fellow travelers! Luigi's is a delectable delicious & any other unique verbs u can think of INto the unique, exquisite , & tasty recipes of the 1600's!!! (The difference between eating & feasting!)

Yelp
I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and close to the bottom of my salad. I took a bite and something was crunchy and tasted nasty. I spit it out and there's a whole lady bug in my salad. first of all, salad and dressing was bland and my company wasn't too happy with the food. added so much salt and nothing happened. also, packing for to go ordered need to be better, they're cardboard and sauces leak out. service was okay but it's pretty disgusting to have bugs in your food.
google avatar

Yelp
This is an amazing Italian restaurant. We love the Alfredo sauce it's to die for. Our family also likes the meat lovers pizza and many of their soups as well. Had the manicotti a few months back and it was great as well. Simply one of the best in Midland. Parking is a challenge, but it's worth the hassle for the quality of the experience.
google avatar

Renee D.

Yelp
Really nasty food. Gray ground beef in the lasagna drowning in tomato sauce with no cheese. Flavorless pizza. They forgot our salad too. Certainly better Italian in Midland. Don't eat here
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
I'll try to summarize quickly -Ordered 6 pizzas at 6 PM online for my family that was in town -Said they would be ready at 7 PM -Got to restaurant at 6:50 PM. -Had multiple parties come in, eat, and leave while I was standing and waiting -Now 7:30 PM -Got offered a margarita (since I had been waiting so long) that was sent back to the bar by someone at a table that was eating. I passed on that extremely thoughtful gesture /s -Got pizzas in my hand at 7:45 PM. -Didn't even get a 5% off coupon for next time. Just a 'sorry for the wait' -Pizza was fine, but I can't go back here because of how bad of experience it was.

Yelp
A great place for a pizza. One of these days I'm going to sit down to eat. Then I'll give my full review. """""""UPDATE"""" I have to go from four stars to three. The food was good. I ordered the spaghetti and meat balls. The spaghetti was cooked the way they're meant to be cooked. The sauce was lacking flavor. But, you can taste the hints of the spices. The bad thing was the meatballs. I don't understand why store bought meatballs are used. You can taste the distinctive freezer taste. I highly recommend finding someone who can make fresh noodles to go with the sauce y'all use.
google avatar

Yelp
This is our special place for special occasions! Love the pizza snack! One of the best pizza's in Midland Odessa. Highly recommended for a different type of lunch, or a evening out with that special someone. The only downside is the parking.

Melissa S.

Yelp
We're new to Midland and ordered curbside from Luigi's. First time customers. Pickup was a little confusing, as the parking lot is small and just off of a busy road, but the pizza and salad made it all worth it! We ordered a cauliflower crust pizza and chef salad with ranch. Both tasted great. Will be back to dine in!
google avatar

Darrin F.

Yelp
We have eaten here every month for years. The food is good but tonight I was overcharged and I questioned the waitress and was told that I was wrong. I ordered the manicotti with a salad. I was charged $15.30 which should have included the salad. She said no. I looked at the menu after I left and I was right. She overcharged me. We decided that we will not return. My wife and I are teachers and don't make the big bucks like oilfield. It's a shame you lose business over the cost of a salad. Jennifer in station...you can cheat me once but never again!!
google avatar

Carissa M.

Yelp
Place was too cramped. I ordered a salad with thousand island- it was more like thousand island with a dab of lettuce. Literally was swimming in dressing, i couldn't enjoy it. Their margarita pizza was tasteless and needed more sauce. The only reason I ate was because the spaghetti wasn't half bad, but nothing special. The staff was extremely nice, but I would not come back here just because of the food that I experienced.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
I ordered a large pizza and received a small instead. The sad thing about this was the quality of the pizza. Not even cut right and looks like my 7 year old sister made this . Got spaghetti that was really greasy like my god. If y'all like greasy food this is your place to go
google avatar

Beverly G.

Yelp
Quaint little place. Low lit. Menus are dark with small print. Staff sorta friendly. The food is great. Prices are good. If you like Italian it's worth the stop.

Lisa B.

Yelp
Long-standing locally owned restaurant. FABULOUS FOOD - I recommend the Supreme Pizza and Antipasto Salad, Chianti wine, and ALLLL of the desserts. Great atmosphere and the staff, service and food have remained consistent. We eat here OFTEN!
google avatar

Yelp
I was expecting better food from a "hole in the wall" but I did not get it. We stopped in on a Friday evening around 630. Had to park across the street. No wait fortunately and our server was pretty good overall. But the food was slightly above average at best. My wife ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. It came with a big heaping plate of dpaghetti and a pretty tasty, slightly sweet spaghetti sauce. The joke was it only came with two smaller than golf-ball size meatballs. And they weren't that good either. My entrée was the chicken Parmesan. I just thought meh. It was only slightly warm. Really tasteless. Our miniscule dinner salads were okay. The house vinaigrette dressing was a disappointment. I could swear they get their breadsticks from Olive Garden. My nine-year-old had the cheese pizza. It was thin crust and I like the one at Carraba's much better. I don't think will probably go out-of-the-way to eat here again.

Yelp
This place is downtown Midland. Its old school charm all the way. It almost feels out of place in this day and age. Its dark and aged, pictures on the wall are yellowing, but tne customer service it bright and friendly. The food came out REALLY fast, so if you get an appetizer, eat it. No time to chat! Like.. GOGOGO!!!!! The portions were small compared to what Im used to getting from an Italian restaurant, but the prices are very reasonable. I thought it was just OK, but my wife said the manicotti was the closest to what her mother makes that shes ever had outside of the home. So I gave it 4 stars based on her dish, that was high praise indeed. Since her mother is an Italian immigrant and makes every dish from scratch.
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
Most things are pretty good. However, the lasagna doesn't taste like it used too. They must be using a different kind of meat because it had a strange game taste to it now. Won't be getting that anymore.
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
Very best pizza in town!!! The grooms cake is so special and unique. (Be sure it's heated up) I also just love the atmosphere with red and white check tablecloths and candles dripping down the wine bottles. I love the old Midland family owned restaurants.

Alane S.

Yelp
DO NOT ORDER FROM OR EAT HERE! My fiancé & I dined at this place tonight. The food was DISGUSTING!!! I ordered the manicotti and it came out looking like cat food covered in white sauce and had a RANCID taste. I'm part Italian and this IS NOT Italian food . The ZA's came out burnt to a crisp and the lasagna is a bowl of slop. He had to stay up with me this evening because I was hugging the toilet throwing up half of the evening. The staff is TERRIBLE and it's a shame eating at this place that I won't even call a restaurant makes Olive Garden look and taste AMAZING! Luigi's, you should be ASHAMED of yourselves for serving this slop to anybody and charging for it. Close your doors and renovate this place AND the staff/Menu and take some pride in your work before you lose your shirts.

Laura P.

Yelp
Excellent service and great food for the whole family. The food is true Italian and very flavorful. I pick this place as number one in Midland! Place looks small outside but inside is nice size and brimming with Italian aroma's!! Go here for sure.!
google avatar

Nikunj K.

Yelp
Loved the food. The server was very sweet and kind. Difficult to find parking during the day in front of the restaurant but you can find street parking a block away from the restaurant.

Mark V.

Yelp
Vibe was good. And that's all that was good. We had lasagna, spaghetti, and pizza. Each entree was at best, average. We won't be coming back. Fazoli's would be a better option in all honesty.
google avatar

Lisa G.

Yelp
What a fantastic find!! I'm new to the area and was looking for something other than tortillas..... Decided on Luigi's and so glad I did! An authentic Italian atmosphere, down to the checkered tablecloths! I had the Lasagna and my husband had the Luigi's favorite (Spaghetti) Lasagna was delish and the Italian sausage in the spaghetti was amazing. Everyone was very friendly, our waitress Kate was very attentive.
google avatar

Scott F.

Yelp
The worst service I've seen in a long time. The pizza had what I can only assume was tomato paste for sauce. And the ravioli had zero flavor!
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Luigis food is quick cafeteria style food. I wouldn't recommend eating here if you want to enjoy the food.
google avatar

Erica C.

Yelp
This place will only give you exactly what you order. I've never ordered veal parmigiana or chicken parmigiana and it not come with spaghetti but this place does it. The veal is also 100% not veal as it was one of the most fatty meats I've ever had and also very tough. Also my mom got spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs and the meat sauce is red water with barely any meat chunks. Similar to a school lunch spaghetti. The meatballs taste like they came from the freezer. Garlic bread under toasted. Only thing I can recommend is that the house dressing is very good on the salad. Also it's 7pm and we asked for a desert - the one that has its own description the luigis Italian grooms cake and the cake isn't even ready for serving. How many people are you going to be able to serve with one after 7pm? Just do not recommend.
google avatar

Jin L.

Yelp
Came here for a company dinner. I tried Luigi's Lasagna. I honestly wasn't super impressed by it. It just tasted like lasagna hahaha. The portion is a little on the smaller side. Meat sauce on the lasagna was good but yeah, nothing special about it. Tried the minestrone soup. That was pretty good as well. I liked dipping the breadsticks in it. The breadsticks were garlicy yum. Parking stinks here like other reviewers mention so good luck. Also one of the wait staff plunged dirty dishes/cups into this bin with some mystery liquid in it and that splashed over our table lol. No apology or anything. Lovely.
