Airy food hall with Brazilian pizza, sushi, ramen, ice cream

"Popular Northeast Minneapolis restaurant PinKU, which dished up Japanese street food on University Avenue for five years before closing in 2021, has returned in a new format at local food hall Eat Street Crossing. Chef John Sugimura has teamed up with chef Louross Edralin (who recently debuted his own food counter, Staff Meeting, in the former Ramen Shoten space) to offer a ticketed omakase experience — i.e., a set menu curated by the chefs and served to diners in courses. PinKU is offering two omakase “tiers,” the first at $49 for five food courses (think dumplings; seared salmon rice balls; spicy tuna on crispy rice, for example) and the second at $96 for food and a beverage pairing. PinKU also offers a daily menu of yakitori, small plates, and oysters. Tickets are selling out fast so far, but keep an eye on PinKU’s Instagram page for updates." - Eater Staff

"Taking over the Eat Street Crossing ramen slot, Staff Meeting—led by Las Vegas chef Louross Edralin (a Hell’s Kitchen alum)—serves chicken-based and vegetarian ramen plus Japanese curry with chicken katsu, kimchi fried rice, and twice-fried spiced chicken wings." - Justine Jones

"I attended Eat Street Crossing’s June 28 Pride celebration hosted by Lala Luzious of POWER: Drag Revue, which featured music from DJ Nicky James, drag performances, and Pride-themed food and cocktails; admission was free (with VIP table packages available online)." - Justine Jones

"Take a cocktail and a tray of sushi or Brazilian pizza out onto Eat Street Crossing’s casual patio. First-come, first-served." - Justine Jones

"When we want a no-nonsense, no-fuss experience I often land at Eat Street Crossing; everyone in our group can find something they like from ramen to pizza, I love the $25 wine wall with really decent selections, the patio is great, and the playlist never sucks." - Eater Staff
