We are so blessed to have a museum that gives a beautiful testimony to so many of our heroes of African descent . There is an awesome museum of our war heroes in Bullard. But until the Texas African American Museum was opened in Tyler we had a void that needed to be filled. Let’s all embrace this excellent facility and support this museum that shines a light on our Texas African American hero’s.

Mrs. Washington was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot from her. The artifacts in her possession, are very valuable and there is so much life and growth within this establishment! People should go there to learn.
