Just north of Hollywood, Dania Beach is praised by The Miami Herald and South Florida Sun Sentinel for its laid-back vibe and pristine sands. The iconic Dania Beach Pier, run by the city, is a hotspot for fishing, sunset watching, and spotting pelicans. Locally owned restaurants and surf shops nearby help maintain the area’s authentic, small-town atmosphere—making it a favorite among locals who prefer a slower pace.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday midday to pass some time before taking a friend to the airport. I love this location due to the view. Our server was friendly and attentive. I had the stone crab chowder and it was delicious! Highly recommended. My friend didn't really enjoy her buffalo shrimp. She mentioned the breading had a strange taste. I love this place and will continue to come back. It seems like the menu was shortened since we last visited, but other than that everything seems consistent.

Yelp
Date of visit: December 8, 2025 If you want a dining experience you'll never forget, head to Quarterdeck Dania Beach -- where the mosquitoes enjoy a full-course meal on you before your food even hits the table. We were attacked so badly by no-see-ums that we literally had to abandon our dinner and run. I woke up today covered in painful, swollen bites... but according to the manager, these bugs don't "bite," they just "scratch." Oh wow. Amazing. Florida insects are apparently out here giving light exfoliation treatments, not drawing blood. And then there was the manager himself -- noticeably intoxicated, noticeably unprofessional, and noticeably annoyed that I dared interrupt whatever he was doing. His breath smelled so strongly of alcohol that I'm shocked the mosquitoes weren't attacking him instead. Instead of listening or apologizing, he confidently delivered his groundbreaking scientific theory about "scratching mosquitoes" and dismissed me like I was wasting his time. Imagine going to offer a helpful suggestion and getting a drunk TED Talk in return. I truly love this restaurant, but if this is the person representing management, upper leadership needs to step in immediately. The service, the customers, and the food deserve someone who is at least sober enough to know insects don't come with fingernails. Great food. Terrible management. Come prepared with bug spray -- and maybe breath mints for the staff.

Yelp
Full disclosure - I typically only come here for steamer clams, garlic bread, stone crab chowder and a cocktail or three. Ambiance is perfection, said items above never disappoint, and it's my happy place whenever getting back to Dania. Don't skip the bread btw - those clams are sitting in a bunch of white wine and garlic clam juice gold. You'll thank me later ;)

Yelp
For some people Disney is the happiest place on earth but not me...it's THE QUARTERDECK! Maybe it's the nostalgia, having come here every year since I was a kid. Maybe it's the view, or the beach cocktails and seafood. Either way I will always come back. Off menu steamer clams and garlic loaf and a bowl of stone crab chowder and...." bring me 2 Pina coladas...One for each hand... Lets set sail with captain Morgan and never leave dry land" - Garth Brooks

Yelp
This was my second time visiting this restaurant. Its located above a pier, with both indoor and outdoor seating. My first visit, we sat outside with a great view of the pier and beach. I had the stone crab chowder, which was good and a Ceasar salad, also pretty good. My second time I had the shrimp fajitas. The shrimp arrived on a sizzling plate with sauteed peppers and onions. Served on a separate tray was shredded cheese & lettuce. The tray also had two small containers of pico de gallo, sour cream and 3 warmed fajita wraps. The fajitas were good and so was the service. I think this place is best if you're looking for the beachside experience at a reasonable cost.

Yelp
The million dollar view of the ocean and the Dania Beach pier is why I come here. I have never hung out on the beach here but have eaten here several times. The fish tacos are excellent, but really enjoy just having a cocktail or beer on the patio bar and feel the ocean breeze. Certain times a year it will be very windy so even though it's hot out bring a light jacket. I sat inside on my first visit but it felt closed in and in need of an upgrade. Just a nice place to relax and watch cruise ships slowly glide by and the waves crash.
google avatar

Tina Y.

Yelp
The chicken tacos were okay, with a big portion. I had to add hot sauce to make them taste better. The rice and beans were mixed together, and the coleslaw was dried out and tasteless. The service was nice and fast.

Yelp
Food is a solid 3 stars but amazing servers... I ordered the steamers. They give you a healthy serving but the garlic is soo heavy that I'm sure the vampires retreated after getting a Whiff of my house later that night! I know my hubs said he smelled it allll night ha!!
google avatar

Yelp
I remember when this place first opened up everybody was so excited in the community but over the years it's become rundown, dirty birds crapping all over the place on the deck uninterested servers couldn't care less about delivering good service. The tacos were absolutely inedible. The burger was dry. The mahi sandwich was dry as well. The hostesses can certainly use some direction in looking a little professional with hair, pulled back, men should shave, and wear clean uniforms. I could really go on and on, but it starts from the bottom when you come up the stairs all the way through. It's just dirty, rundown and uninviting. I will never go back even though it's beautiful to sit out there on the deck, so I bring my out-of-town guest, but no more.

Yelp
This is a cool little sports bar by the water, right next to the "beach" of Dania Beach. With both an inside dining room and terrace dining literally above the waves, you can enjoy lunch & dinner whether you're coming straight from the beach or a little dressier. It is also dog friendly! I stopped by the other night for a casual dinner, and the food was pretty good in a sports bar vibe. I ordered their half rack of ribs with a loaded, baked potato, and my dining companion ordered a mahi-mahi chop salad. Being sophisticated, I ordered a glass of Chardonnay. My ribs had a nice amount of meat on them and we're pretty well coated with sauce which everyone knows is what makes excellent barbecue. As far as my side, the baked potato was loaded with the fixings cheddar and a nice amount of bacon bits. Our server was pretty attentive and even tried to get us to order dessert as well but I passed on that. The view is 5 stars! Even if there's a drizzle outside, try to get patio seating. There are even a few TVs if you wanna catch the game instead.

Yelp
Every thing was great, starting with the best server in the place , her name is Neilla , she is been working there , probably since they open, At less since we have been going there, for many years . To us, she is the best waitress in that place. This restaurant serve great food, have never have been disappointed, and they have the best location looking in the area , looking over the the ocean and great parking, ,

Yelp
Stopped into Quartedeck for a bite after being at Dania Beach -- this is your typical beach bar with a large menu and lots of good options to choose from. The best part about this place by far is the view, you can sit indoor or outdoor and have a great view of the beach from any angle. As for the food the faves flavor wise were the mahi fingers and the fajitas. All the other food was pretty basic, lobster mac was good flavor but lobster meat was a bit too chewy for me. They have a lot of good options from basic sandwiches to seafood options. I wish the poke bowl had more options for toppings but it got the job done. Overall, a good spot after the beach with a good environment, decent food and lots of options. Get the fajitas in my opinion, steak and shrimp were seasoned great!

Yelp
Quarterdeck has excellent water views while dining. The service is consistent. We were there today when it opened at 11:00 am. They brought our beverages right away. We both ordered the blackened mahi tacos. They come with a side of rice and beans. For me it's better than a side of coleslaw or fries.
google avatar

Ann Robin H.

Yelp
1/1/2025- Always consistent always good service. Are you at the Asian salad which was enough to feed three people it came with a peanut dressing on the side that was in a small little ramekin plastic maybe 2 ounces 2 1/2 ounces not enough for a salad that size. Hubby had the Philly plus we had the wing mild. Bug meaty. So I haven't even got into my salad, I asked for more dressing. Ok. Well they charged for another little. Ramekin we get home and I look at the receipt and you get charged for that for$.50. The dressing was good , but it's the principle. I mean the salad was huge . Did they think that little first ramekin would cover that whole salad you'll see in the pictures.

Yelp
We went on a rainy day so there wasn't a lot of people there. When we walked in, we were seated immediately by the window. I think all the seats are by the window so you get a good view. Our waitress, Erin, was very nice. I ordered a cocktail with blackberries in it (can't remember the name) and Erin told me it was sweet. I like sweet. When I got the drink, it was too sweet and I honestly didn't like it but Erin took it off my check. THANK GOD! I ordered a margarita instead and it was good. Then I ordered the steak for my entree and it was delicious! The cubed vegetables were the star of the show but the steak was cooked to perfection as well! I would eat here again for the steak alone. Considering the gray day, we had a good experience here.

Yelp
This place is all about the VIEWS!! Gorgeous. Right on the pier at Dania beach. We really enjoy sitting outside as there's almost always a strong breeze. There's a bar inside and outside with standard seating both in and out too. I enjoyed my chicken Caesar wrap but the chicken was a bit chewy and the fries were cold. My husband loved his medium Buffalo chicken sandwich. We also dined with my parents who both enjoyed their meals. It's really a great place to take those from out of town but they also have a local crowd. Parking is super expensive - $5 an hour via paybyphone
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent Seafood Faire located directly overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Ask to sit outside, in the rear, to fully view the pier/fishermen.

Yelp
First thing to note is how much parking is right by the restaurant. I love going to a place on the beach but I am usually stuck struggling to find parking. This is right at the beginning of the Dania Beach pier so we were able to grab a drink at the bar before walking the pier which was really nice! We came during happy hour time so it wasn't too busy and we were able to find a seat upstairs by the bar with the ocean view. It was really nice and relaxing! All the staff were nice and helpful. We only had a few drinks but all the food we saw come out to other tables looked and smelled really good. I would come back again for the location and to try the food!

Yelp
We loved this place! The location couldn't be better! Sitting over the ocean at Dania Beach right next to the Dania Beach Pier! The weather was beautiful after so many days of cloudiness and rain. Loved the beachy ambiance and open-air restaurant. We had the best seat in the house IMHO a window table with a fabulous view of the beach and ocean. Our server, Nikki, was such a delight. She has a sparkling personality with a lovely smile. She checked on us at the appropriate times and took very good care of us! We never lacked anything. Tip: There is a free cocktail coupon if you check in with YELP. I ordered the Sirloin Steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus ($24) , which was pretty good for the price. Cooked medium, as I requested. My daughter ordered the Full Rack ribs with seasoned Curly Fries ($24) and loved it. Our dinner hit the spot! The place was full with a wait line. We only had to wait 20 minutes for our fabulous table. It was worth it. There is a huge metered parking lot. It took about 10 minutes to find a spot. We look forward to coming back again.

Yelp
My stepsister wanted to visit the beach so we made a quick visit. I decided to grab a drink and it was an experience. With the hurricane approaching the winds were unbelievable. I'm sure it's usually a nice time, but today it was wild time. Still and awesome view and I enjoyed my vodka pineapple.

Yelp
Great food. Service could be better. Location is great, with amazing view of the water.

Yelp
We love coming to Quarterdeck in Dania! This visit we had Neila as our server and she was very friendly and helpful, but we really haven't had a bad server there. Randy is another one of our favorites! When you go there, you have to park in the city parking lot ($5/hour, with 2 hour max). Parking is really expensive, and it's actually cheaper to park in South Beach, so that would be my only feedback to restaurant ownership is to speak to the city of Dania about their parking charges as it does limit the amount of visits we do there because the $10 parking is expensive once you add in food, drinks, and gratuity. For drinks, we usually order a bottle of wine for around $32, and we always start with side salads for $5. We usually order the burgers or chicken sandwiches that range in price between $15-20 and include a side of fries. All food is usually really good and fresh and views are outstanding of the ocean and beach in Dania.

Yelp
Came for a lunch on the beach and was disappointed with both service and the food. I ordered a burger and it was just alright, not up to par for restaurant quality. They gave me minimal toppings on the burger. The fries were not good. Soggy and old, def not freshly made. Service was so bad. Our waiter had me waiting like 15 minutes for a condiment even though it was not busy. After finishing our meal we were walking through the inside dining area and the wait staff were all sitting at the bar. Most likely to keep cool from the heat but that's where he'd been our whole dining time. The restaurant itself just doesn't seem to be kept nice either. They used to have a lunch special but they didn't anymore. Next time we'll find somewhere else when we want a lunch on the beach.

Yelp
It is located on the fishing pier on Dania Beach. The views are spectacular. American Bar atmosphere. Burgers, seafood, pasta, sushi, poke, tacos, they have it all. The onion rings are AMAZING! The clams were small and don't come with bread. Crab legs were good, but not great (it didn't seem very fresh). Maybe they were previously frozen? You pay for bread. Huge fountain beverages in their own reusable cup. Overall, it was a good experience and the food is good enough. Can't beat the view. Enjoy.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is located directly on the beach and Pier of Dania a little bit off the beaten path. But once you arrive and park, (don't forget to pay the Master Meter!) You will realize the great location. They don't take reservations, so you'll probably have to wait a good while for a decent table. I suggest outside, as it almost feels like you're on a cruise ship with the water on three out of four sides. Most everything on the menu is good, as long as you stick to Seafood, which is their specialty. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, I only wish they accepted reservations. As you have to take one of those small blinking electronic devices with you while you wait on an available table which has been as long as an hour. And there may very well be no space available at either of the bars for you to sit and wait either. Other than that, a great experience. You can even take a stroll down the pier to kill some time.
google avatar

Isa A.

Yelp
The view makes you feel like you are in a cruise. A good old American cheese burger is always great after a day on the beach. The service is great and so is the food. They have a big selection of sushi prepare fresh daily.
google avatar

Nicole V.

Yelp
Calamari served chest and old, flys, you could get better food at drive thru. Come for drinks and the view.

Alex F.

Yelp
The location is great and the staff was very friendly. The food was just ok and really not good for the price. The smaller menu is better but so is the food. The fajita skillet is notably smaller than before and the whole fried fish for $50, was half the size of any other restaurant. It also arrived noticeably burnt the first time. If not for the view and drinks, I don't think this place would survive.
google avatar

CW W.

Yelp
Too hot in the restaurant. They need a few AC's maybe? Auto close and open doors, idk other restaurants on Pompano Peir can do it and hotels on Hollywood beach beach can do it right. Cool people, good food, they need to spend the money to get the AC right. I would only go back if I had my bathing suit on to the outdoor area. Way too muggy inside.

Yelp
We took our grandchildren here for an early dinner. The biggest attraction is the location on the Dania Fishing Pier. We had no wait and asked for an indoor booth overlooking the beach so the boys could watch the surfers and wind surfers. The kids menu was perfect especially with the $6.99 price. Our server was young and friendly and did her best. We ordered steamer's which were very small but the serving size was 3 dozen for $20. They were really good and cooked in a flavorful broth. We also ordered a JB sushi roll and turkey club. Both were very good. The boys enjoyed their mini cheese burgers and grilled cheese sandwich. Next stop was a walk on the pier to see all the fishing activity. This was all part of the experience and highlighted the dining event. The boys had a great time so that made us happy too! There is metered parking at the pier along with a small charge to walk on the pier. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar. The menu had a lot of fish options as well as burgers and entrees. I thought the sushi was delish and would return for more.
google avatar

Angelica G.

Yelp
Food was good, Though I only had appetizers. It's a great place to hang out right by the water and grab a bite & a drink. The fish dip was good- tasty the Nacho chips - not so much... but ok. Luckily, they also come with carrots, cucumbers, and crackers- so there you go! The grill cheese sandwich for kids was good and so we're the sweet potato fries The service was on point and you can't ask for more ambiance wise

Jim M.

Yelp
Worst food I ever had. I ordered the clam crowder and buffalo shrimp. I got violently ill after 15 minutes of eating, I couldn't stop vomiting and had the worst Diarrhea. This place is a shit hole will never go back and neither should you!!
google avatar

Frank D.

Yelp
Nikki was just amazing! And the food the view the vibe it just can't be beat. Definitely we will be back.
google avatar

Clarisse M.

Yelp
We are locals and it will be a while before we visit again Both of our fries were cold , the waitress didn't hear my husband say his were cold so she took my whole plate My husband finished his hamburger before I got my meal back He got new hot fries but said the were bad and I'm pretty sure they heated my food up in the microwave because the shrimp was hard We gave our server a good tip but after talking in the car said she didn't offer any suggestions on specials and should have only brought new fries not taken my whole plate The manager never checked back with us Yes I ate the shrimp, it was 25 dollar plate of food, my husband helped!
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
Love this place! Great food. Friendly staff. Good drink menu. It's attached to the Dania beach Pier. And if you sit outside by the pier, it feels like you're on a cruise ship
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
What on earth happened to this place? This used to be the spot to take visitors and now it's an avoid. Walked into total disarray until someone noticed us after 7-8 min. Not busy at all either. 3 beers then took 25 min and the food took about 40 to come out.. sat at 7:24 left at 9pm. They took 25% off the bill so that was good. Also, the windows were so dirty with food and snot I could barely see out of it. Def won't be back.
google avatar

Shanice G.

Yelp
On the pier I didn't have much expectations but my drink was strong AF, server was attentive and the buffalo shrimp were perfection. Such a huge quantity I still managed to devour it. I'd be happy to try their other items.

Rachael C.

Yelp
After being a long time Quarterdeck Dania patron, I think this past visit was my last time eating or drinking there. My champagne was delivered to me warm and I found out why. I could visibly see the door was falling off after watching the bartenders struggle with it. Also, all Quarterdecks have Happy Hour but there is no physical HH menu at this location. I had to ask the busy bartender a few times to go over the options. Things are really falling apart at this location. The walls are dirty and lots of things need to updated and repaired. Thankfully, the saving grace was the service from the bartenders.

Yelp
Situated at the beginning of the Dania Fishing Pier, this restaurant is surrounded by beach and water views. There is plenty of metered parking and the whole area is wheelchair accessible! The restaurant can be accessed from the stairs/ elevator or up the ramp where you'll find the hostess stand. The patio deck is busy on a Saturday and the entire restaurant seemed to have a steady flow. The decor is a bit dated, but I think that's what helps keep the prices low. Since the restaurant was packed we decided to order for pickup while we wandered down the pier. Our confirmation was for 30 minutes but the kitchen was a little backed up so our food was ready in 45 mins! We ordered kids chicken wings with coleslaw, El dorado Fish sandwich with black beans and rice, hamburger with fries, and dinner salad. Everything was super affordable and under $50. The wings were "dry" as in no sauce on them and seemed a little blackened but didn't have a burnt flavor. The hamburger was done just right and fresh! The fish sandwich was also tasty, the rice and beans were a little bland lacking flavor. The dinner salad was not so fresh. Overall this was my first time and since the pier is so nice I may give it a second chance!

Yelp
Came here after doing some kayaking at Whiskey Creek. What a wonderful, lively spot with absolutely breathtaking views! It was busy, but service was fast and friendly and the food came out surprisingly quickly! We started off with the pretzel sticks served with cheese and mustard. The pretzel sticks were crunchy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside and perfectly salted. For entrees I got the mahi mahi sandwich which was AMAZING. Fish was cooked beautifully, with fried pickles and peppers and the crispness of the fries lent itself to a very delightful lunch. My friend got the coconut shrimp which comes with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries weren't a huge hit as they were cold, but she said the coconut shrimp was the best she had ever had! Big juicy shrimp and a crispy exterior. The sauce that also comes with it was packed with flavor. The portion was also really big! About 10-12 jumbo shrimp. Another friend got the jambalaya spaghetti based on the overwhelming amount of yelp reviews, but she was a little underwhelmed. She wished there had been a bit more spice and a bit more flavor. But pasta and sausage were both cooked very nicely. Overall, if you're looking for a nice relaxing spot I'd recommend this place. Of course the food is a bit on the pricier side, and you do have to pay for parking, but I'd say its plenty worth it!

Yelp
Food - very good, better than expected. Couldn't recommend the items we got enough which were the shrimp fajitas, mahi tacos, pretzel sticks, and Philly cheesesteak Long wait outside so we ate inside. Drinks were decent. Service - our waitress was amazing and truly saved our opinion of this place. Her name was Savannah. The hostesses and several other staff members were so incredibly rude....we almost just left before even being seated because the customer service was so bad and they were SO unfriendly

Yelp
STAFF: I would like to review the staff of Quarterdeck. I have the pleasure of having Robie as our wait staff. He was patient courteous and polite. We had lunch with children. FOOD: My food was stuffed mahimahi, I highly recommend it. Delicious, cooked to perfection, great side of mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Children ordered 5 wings kids menu. Fries were superb. The chicken came pre-seasoned. If you have children that do not lime spicy, do t order the wings, we had to send them back. It was not a problem, Robin took them off our table. Ambiance: We set outside, overlooking the ocean. What a fantastic location! Ambiance 100% there are some pigeons flying around, it was raining, I assume they are not normally there, just were hiding from the rain.

Yelp
Hands down, the best chowder I've ever eaten! Maleah was a wonderful server and made the perfect recommendations for us. Great old Florida vibe here with excellent food. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Roob D.

Yelp
View is nice but food was meh and over priced. Service sucked. Server didn't refill our drinks till I waved them down. Same thing with napkins. Save your funds, go elsewhere. Shrimps tacos were not flavorful and the rice beans were cold. The calamari was soggy.
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
I don't like leaving reviews for poor service, but I love this location for the view and atmosphere Came here for an early lunch and drinks with a friend and Dani definitely gave us something to talk about: her attitude. Everyone is entitled to bad days. But I don't think that calls for slamming my glass on the table (because apparently I had the audacity to ask for one to put my corona and lime in) and slinging a new ketchup bottle at me because the first one was empty or just generally being inattentive. Thankfully, our burgers were excellent!

Zachary S.

Yelp
Liz the blonde bartender was excellent her drinks and service were great even though the bar was busy

Yelp
Came here to eat with my friends and family from Maine.. they were all so excited to eat seafood on the ocean I hyped up the place so much for months. For them to walk into a circus with 1 available seafood entree?? ON THE OCEAN???? What happened to the menu!!!! management is absolutely a joke here. came here with my family from out of state, had Horrible service at the table asked for a manager found him just sitting around at The bar... Hes very old and allows the servers to do nothing just sitting inside all together like highschool all gossiping instead of working.. while I see people with no waters no menus no service. I'm a regular here since you guys opened years ago and im watching this place FALL. i give quarterdeck a good 6 months before they're closed down to negligence. Bugs everywhere.. menus not even close to the origins of quarterdeck, inconsistent food service and management! very essential key notes of a restaurant missing.... was ownership changed or something? after years of loyalty ive just noticed this place got really lazy after managment was changed And I can't help but actually be concerned.... for this Is my go to with my family from out of town. the food has gotten absolutely concerning at this location particularly, and always cold. had to go to lucky fish much better food all around and sadly they had more seafood options when they're not even on top of the Atlantic like you guys are. You have a great location start loving it more or sell it because its showing neglect.

Yelp
Food was good! Service was good, too.' Didnt care for the birds all around the floor etc. All in all pretty good and will return!
