BAR SUR Tango Show

Bar Sur was suggested to us by a couple we met on Mendoza wine tour. We had already attended a Tango show at El Querendi earlier in the week which our group loved. We were told that Bar Sur was very small and the Tango dancers were within arms length. They weren’t kidding! The show was amazing and the dancers were very talented. The place is very small and you need to get there when it opens to secure a good table. There were 35 people in the audience that night and no one else could be squeezed in. As a matter of fact, our group of 6 were sat on bar stools across the back of the room where we blocked access to both bathrooms. We asked what we were supposed to do during the show when people needed the bathrooms and we were told we would have to move. That was not going to work for us and they changed the plan and used toilets back in the kitchen. That was the only negative but the show more than made up for it. The wait staff were also hospitable and provided friendly drink service and free snacks. Wine and drinks are a little expensive where it makes more sense to buy a bottle than 2 glasses of wine. Don’t even think about it, just GO! This experience was a highlight of our first time trip in BA. Beautiful and passionate show - dancing, live music. Small groups of audience made the experience very exclusive. Top notch performance from the dancers and musicians. Would 100% recommend!

The dancers are So Damn Good! The fact that floor shakes with their movement, jumps and lifts, you feel like part of the flow. Best thing so far in my trip to BA. Service is great, atmosphere is cozy and warm, and everything is great. Only thing that could be improved, the bathrooms can be renovated, and the food is OK but not great. Empanada was really good, but the ravioli was just OK (I am not a big empanada guy though). All n all, I’d highly recommend this experience

We loved our show at Bar Sur. It was intimate, fun, and entertaining. The music was a big highlight, the band was great. The servers were attentive, and the dancers were extremely talented. My only wish is that there was more dancing. We would recommend others come here if they want a personal/intimate experience. The restaurant was easy to communicate with to get the reservations confirmed.

The food and wine were delicious, and the service was warm and attentive from start to finish. If you want to experience real Argentine passion — not a touristy production — this is the place to go. Highly recommended! Tango and singing was amazing and so fun! We had the best time in Bar sur and something we'll remember for a long time.

Bar Sur danced past my expectations :) Highly recommend if you’re looking for great music and authentic tango in an animate setting. The performers bring you into the show, and it feels like you’re taking a step back in time. They even give you a great photo opp with the dancers at the end!

Such an amazing experience… drinks and appetizers were great but most of all the tango was so worth the money!!! I loved the show, such engagement and cool tricks, absolutely beautiful w the music as well! Completely recommend, thank you!
