My wife and I have been wanting to check this local place out for a couple of years. Jess & Jim’s sounded great. We went early on a Friday night to grab some prime rib. I had reservation reservations for us at 6 PM. We were seated promptly and had a server who was very kind and pretty good considering it was his second night working here. We each ordered a cocktail, which were very good. And we each had prime rib. The meat itself was pretty stringy and hard to cut with the dull knives that we were given. Mine was undercooked. I ordered mashed potatoes with brown Gravy, which were just okay. My wife enjoyed her baked potato a great deal though. Our server brought out our food when we weren’t even halfway through our salads. He apologized because he knew he was early, but by the time we got to our entrées, they were cold. A great, or even good steakhouse would never do that. The food quality was average or below, and the service was about the same. If you’re looking for mediocrity, you can find it here. By the entrance, they have a list of 10 great steakhouses in the US. I have been to a few of them, including Peter Luger‘s, and Jess and Jim’s really has no place on this list. I literally laughed out loud as we passed by the sign on the way out.

Pretty great steak for the price. The twice baked potato was delicious too. Waitress was attentive and friendly. I’ll definitely be back.

Been awhile. Yes it’s expensive. Yes we love the staff and train. I for got what I ordered. A burger with no bun but they call it something else. It was awesome. With a salad and mashed potatoes and dark gravy. Kids are there meals. Mac and cheese looked weak but who cares. My martini could have used a bit more to top it off for the price. But it was delicious. And our waitress was awesome. So another five star !

Google
Wish I could give them more stars. I have been there three or four times. Everyone is always so sweet and the food is over the top wonderful. If you leave hungry you didn't order a meal. Everything is fresh, a lot of stuff is house made and believe me, you can taste the love that goes into every bite of food. It is worth what you pay. Go, eat and enjoy

Sat outside. Was so nice. The trains were entertaining. Service was great. Efficient but not hovering. The fried mushrooms are homemade not freezer to fryer. Server recommended the ribeye. Cook was perfect. Nicely but not overly seasoned. The homemade carrot cake was fantastic. The only two flaws, were the potato could have been hotter, and the coffee was not up to the quality of the rest of the meal. But I still ate and enjoyed the potato, and drank the coffee.

I have lived in Kansas City my whole life and always wanted to come here for a steak. Tonight me and my girlfriend finally did and we were both absolutely impressed by the food and the portion sizes. Our server Katie took great care of us and made the experience even more enjoyable. We will absolutely be back after we finish eating our leftovers over the next two weeks 🙂

Stopped by on way home to Tennessee on the reviews from Google. We hit it at 3pm. The place was empty. Our meal started with pickled beet( a lovely surprise ) they were wonderful. The salad with homemade dressing was good. The 14oz strip steak that came out sizzling on the plate was a show stopper. It was coupled with green beans for me, mashed potatoes for the hubby which were both good. He finished with key lime pie, I couldn't force another bite i was so stuffed. There was a nice wine and beer menu which we didn't sample due to continued driving on interstate towards home. Great meal in a family run establishment.

Google
Such a lovely evening to be able to try the yummy steaks at this popular restaurant with family. Glad we made reservation and it was full of people when we got there. I ordered the ribeye that came with salad and big twice baked potato. I am usually not a big fan of baked potato but the one I had was the best one I had for a very long time( just forget about the calories!🤣). Everyone was happy with the food and really enjoyed at the restaurant. The price is not insanely high like some restaurants that also serve same type of food within 30 miles.

Yelp
Jess & Jim's (November 22, 2025) I met several friends for dinner at Jess and Jim's, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the ribeye with a baked potato and a glass of wine. Everyone else at the table ordered the same, except one person who chose the pork chops, and those chops were at least a three-inch cut! The service was the best. The servers have helpers who come around to clear plates, refill water, and bring the beets, and let me tell you, the beets are a must-have. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the company. It had been a while since I last ate there, and one thing I noticed is that the baked potatoes aren't as large as the big baking potatoes they used to serve. One note of advice: make a reservation, or you'll end up waiting. Overall, still a great experience!

Yelp
Great restaurant. We tried KC strips and fillet mignon. They cooked the KC strips rare as a whole piece, you don't get it everywhere. I ordered my fillet mignon extra rare, which cooked perfectly. Again most of restaurant don't offer this option. I also got fried frog legs, the sides are ok, which can use improvement, like the green beans. Overall, great experience and kids friendly. The restaurant is kinda dark with live music. Ambience: 4/5 Food: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Service: 5/5

Yelp
What a deal this place is if you're looking for a fantastic burger. Not only is it huge but this is one of the best burgers I've had. The flavor is perfection as is the amount of pink inside. For ~$12 it's impossible to beat or finish by yourself. The service is quick and friendly. You get some of my favorite Texas toast with your meal as well which brings it all together. I'll be back here and bring my friends and family as well!

Yelp
Visited there this evening and had dinner with my wife. She ordered chicken that came out bloody she sent it back and it came out bloody again. Manager came out and informed us that was normal and proceeded to scold my wife. For what we paid managers should be more respectful. Won't be going back.

Yelp
Came to this place because of my boyfriend loving their carrot cakes! It was my first time eating carrot cake and it was delicious and really sweet. The steaks were amazing and greatly seasoned, 10/10 would recommend! I love onion rings and these were so different but tasted more healthier and didn't have that heavy oil feeling to it! The Gouda Mac n cheese bites are THE BEST! I love Mac and cheese and this hit highly for me! The French fries tasted very homemade so it made me love it even more! The service was good and the restaurant felt very homey to me. I would recommend this place for a date night! 10/10 experience for me!

Yelp
This place is awesome in my book. Simple KC little joint. I loved my baked potato it had a bunch of butter and was fabulous. The chicken wasn't my fave but it was good. My fiancés steak was better & what i'll be ordering next time. Our server was a bit forgetful but none of us cared they were kind & helpful! It was a kinda cool vibe too they have a little train running which was fun. I'd probably try appetizers next time. Drinks were good too.

Yelp
Stopped in for restaurant week and automatically really enjoyed the decor and ambiance. It feels like an old fashioned family restaurant. We did the lunch deal which was chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, and a cheesecake. Everything was good! The mashed potatoes did need the gravy though, they were very bland without it. Definitely would come back

Yelp
A friend of mine loves my reviews. I think she feels that I am a witty writer. Anyway, when I told her I was going to a steakhouse cause I missed ordering a good slab of meat, she was all onboard to join me. Then I told her I was going to Jess & Jim's. She suddenly had other plans..... My friend is a 30-something professional who will always choose ambiance over quality of food. This won't be a surprise to her (as she will be reading my review) so while I hoofed it to J&J alone, she definitely tagged along when I went to Capital Grille a week later. Anyway, J&J attracts the over 55 crowd and the Young family with kids crowd looking for quality food over what type of wine is served or what type of lighting there is. Not only is it bare bones, it's shabby, even compared to some casual dining places I've been too. That's not the point of this place. It's about the food here. So how was it? I ordered a 12 ounce prime rib, with cottage fries and a side of green beans. It also comes with a salad appetizer. With a beer and tip, it came to about $69. First, it doesn't matter how fancy the place looks or how expensive the prices are if the food isn't good. Especially the protein, which is the star of the show at a steakhouse. The Prime Rib was very good, one of the better ones I've had in KC. It was more medium than medium-rare (the server admitted that it had been left out longer than it should have) but I barely noticed. The quality was great. The cottage fries, was also good. They were cut in a haphazardly way, some looking more like pub chips than cottage fries, but they were cooked to near perfection. The two disappointments were the salad and the green beans. The salad felt like it came from a bag, the one that is mostly iceberg lettuce and carrot shavings. It had exactly three grape tomatoes, two pieces of cucumber and I think a ring of red onion to make it look like a salad, but a failure. And the green beans. They were only $3.50, but they definitely came out of a can. They were soggy, boiled and cut. Real green beans should be sauteed, whole and crunchy. These were complete crap. Overall, it was a good place to eat (and let's face it, no one comes for the side salad and green beans) and if your scene is checking out senior couples and kids not on their best behavior, I guess this might be your place to go.

Yelp
Perfect weather for cocktails by the fire pit while we waited for our table! They don't do reservations online, you must call in. We did have one and we got there a bit early so we were able to enjoy a drink first. My son and I love great steaks! They never disappoint cooked perfectly as requested! They still serve the big steak house size potatoes! The highlight this trip was the Gouda mac&cheese bites on the appetizer sampler! Flavorful and light an crispy! I would order just those next time! It was a wonderful 60th bday dinner! They made it so memorable from the service and dinner & drinks!

Yelp
So this place is nothing short of GREAT!! The food is always good, I had the 8oz fillet tonight and it was an amazing cut of meat, but especially for the price!! Then we had Addison for a server and she was great too! Great service without being overbearing or annoying. It really is a great steakhouse, not too fancy, but still a great place to go where you can have a conversation while you eat a great meal!! They were pretty busy for a Tuesday night, but it still wasn't super loud.

Yelp
Went here for my Birthday dinner. I will say that as large as Kansas City is, find someplace else to go for your birthday dinner. I had a pork chop. It was not seasoned and it was tough. I won't trash it altogether, but I do better myself. I also had a baked potato, which was good and green beans. They were very good. Our waitress was very disappointing. We asked that she put sour cream for the potatoes on the side, and I ended up having to ask another waiter to bring mine because she just never brought it, even though I asked her to bring it we were served. I guess I could say it looks like this is a good place to go for sides, but you might want to cook your own meat. If you like it seasoned I will not be returning to this establishment.

Yelp
We moved away from KC and recently moved back from Vegas. Jess and Jim's was an old friend with many happy memories of family gatherings. We greatly enjoyed going back. No reason for a menu. Filet is always awesome with a twice baked potato the size of a mini football

Deirdre S.

Yelp
Steak was unbelievably tasty. No gristle, perfect amount fat to make the meat juicy. I ordered the ribeye. They don't grill the steaks so I was concerned that I wouldn't like it. But dang, it was worth the $$. Green beans were very tasty. Garlic bread was lacking, kinda weird tasting. Looked great but bland. That why I only gave 4 stars, that and the bland and hard broccoli. So that could use some work but the steak is main course, so I highly recommend it.

Yelp
I come here for a regular lunch time gathering and have always been happy with my meal and the service. I have ordered the cheese steak burger as well as the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. Both entrees were delicious and prepared well. There's plenty of seating inside the restaurant and we usually take a back room with tables for our group, but there are booths as well. Our server has always worked hard and taken good care of our table. I'll keep coming back!

Madaline W.

Yelp
Food and service were outstanding. Strip steak was cooked medium rare as ordered. Twice baked potato was seriously loaded and huge so shared it. Key lime pie was delicious. Busy yet floor covering made it easy to converse. Easy, convenient parking, too.

Yelp
I have always been wanting to try Jess and Jims so what a friend suggested going there for lunch, I immediately said yes. It's really neat to see the accolades they have achieved over so many years while keeping it a family owned restaurant. Inside you can tell that they take pride in their family and their traditions. A lot of interior design feels nostalgic to traditional steakhouses. We ordered a steak, a burger, and a prime rib sandwich which all came out delicious and fresh. The steak was sizzling on the plate they bring out. It's nice because when they come out of the kitchen you get a steamy whiff of the steaks which sparks your appetite. Make sure to order the steak with their house blend seasoning. The burger was very large which I absolutely loved. I was pleasantly surprised and I know that they have a great whiskey selection as well at the bar. I wish their draft beer was a little bit colder and/or served in a chilled glass which would be my only criticism. Overall I can see myself coming back here for many years.

Yelp
We used to love this place. We went every year for our anniversary and several other times during the year from Lawrence. We made our reservations well in advance and ask for the dining room. The last two years we were seated in a very small booth in the hall. The ribeye was very poor. It wasn't cooked correctly and looked sickly. The waitress wasn't good at all. We decided this year it really wasn't worth the trip anymore.
google avatar

Shere G.

Yelp
Still great after all these years. Love that it's locally owned, food is excellent and I'm sorry that I forgot about it!!!

Yelp
We took a drive out to Jess & Jim's on a lark because a co-worker said it was good. They've got a poster on the wall saying they're one of the 10 best steakhouses in the world, so I was pumped. There were a couple of spots on the same list that I've been to and were legit, so I remained hopeful. Did we get one of the best steaks in the world? We did not. It was meh. Mid, as the kids would say. Under-seasoned, cooked a bit beyond medium rare (I ordered medium rare), the steak was served on a slab of aluminum in a plastic tray, and the decor is in need of updating.
google avatar

Colleen L.

Yelp
This is a good old timey steakhouse. There's plenty of cowboy decor and it's a place that I would take my grandparents. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I've only been here twice but it had been a decade or more since my first visit so I ordered a sirloin, medium rare. This time the waitress asked if house seasoning was ok. The first time I went, I didn't realize you had to ask for seasoning on your steak otherwise it's just plain. So I tried it. It was good. The steak was perfectly cooked. No complaints there. The steak comes with a salad, side, and Texas toast. I opted for a twice baked potato and blue cheese dressing for my salad. They also give you pickled beets to start. If you like beets, you'll like these. If you don't like beets, those are probably not for you. Because they taste like pickled beets. The blue cheese dressing that came with my salad was super chunky. So many blue cheese chunks. And the produce was super fresh. The toast was ok. It's toast. The twice baked potato was ginormous. Just huge. It was also good. I made it maybe a third of the way through. I ended up with an entire second gigantic meal. Again no complaints. Our table also ordered fried mushrooms for an appetizer. Those were good and are what you would expect. Someone in our party did order the prime rib and said the meat itself was good but they didn't like the au jus it was served with. So they had decided that prime rib would not be ordered again when they returned. They also have fried chicken and chicken fried steak. It's definitely worth popping in and checking out if you're in the Martin City area.

JM D.

Yelp
So I ordered one of the 'cheaper' steaks tonight. Told the server I wanted it medium. The steak was delivered to me brown on the outside and RAW in the middle. I showed the server the raw meat - she took it back to the cook. She brought it back - still raw. She said it was 'medium' and wanted to argue with me. Unacceptable. She took it back again - it came back a bit better but still raw on the edges. Was hoping to have a positive experience at this restaurant tonight, but between raw meat and a snotty waitress, I'm not sure I'll step foot in this place again.

Rich M.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to take my wife for a night out. The double baked potato is amazing, the prime rib is always on point, the steaks are always perfect and the staff is great. You can't miss here.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Went here for the first time since I was a kid for my birthday and so disappointed. I ordered a steak rare, it came out medium well. Sent it back and the replacement was ice cold in the center and barely cooked. My daughter ordered medium well, hers was very rare. Prime rib was super tough. Potato was cold. Service was great, food not so much. Definitely not the same as it used to be and we won't be back.
google avatar

Scott B.

Yelp
This is an old time steakhouse. However, I have to recommend their Prime Burger! I say it's the best / biggest / highest quality burger made with trimmings from their prime steaks. Good stuff!
google avatar

Ray T.

Yelp
Poor service, unseasoned steaks and canned vegetables. Server took order and brought check. Never checked back. Ribeye was overcooked and lacked seasoning. Mediocre at best.

Allan S.

Yelp
Great food. Servers that care. All food was excellent. The trains in side and outside makes the restaurant unique.
google avatar

Trish K.

Yelp
Good portions, friendly service, homey. Jess & Jim's is a staple for a reason. The server was helpful and kind. The food came quickly and was well cooked and well seasoned. The twice baked potatoes are some of the largest food items I've ever seen. And since we made a birthday reservation, we celebrated with complimentary cheesecake. Jess & Jim's has been on our list for a while. I'm glad we finally made the trip!

Yelp
Disappointing. Super expensive for mediocre steaks. We went with another couple tonight and had steaks, baked potatoes, salads, app, and drinks. The salad is your typical bag mix with a couple slices of onion and cucumbers. For apps we had cottage potatoes and Mac bites. The mac bites were good. The cottage potatoes were thick and limp- not crispy at all. The "twice baked potatoes" aren't really the traditional twice baked potato. Think of it as just a baked potato with a crispy skin. It was pretty good and probably the highlight of the meal. The steaks were meh. Super expensive and under cooked. Save $100 and go to a chain steak joint like longhorn or Texas Roadhouse to get comparable quality. Devore is super outdated and old. Feel free to wear t-shirts and flip flops. Really not sure how this made the top 10 steakhouses in the world. Must have been different a couple years ago.

Yelp
We flew into KC for a Chiefs game and made reservations to dine at Jess & Jim's weeks in advance. We arrived and they did not have our reservation. They made us wait over half an hour before seating us. Instead of being apologetic they were contrite. I approached the owner multiple times and she just put us off. In any good steak house they would have offered us drinks or some other accommodation for their error, Jess was arrogantly unapologetic. We spent over $600 there, it was the first and last time we will patronize Jess's.

Yelp
we went to this steakhouse yesterday, May 29 at approximately 4:45 PM just before the dinner hour -- it was extremely quiet -- I ordered the fillet my husband had a prime rib. I got the twice baked potato he got the baked potato. I anticipated one of the best steaks I would ever eat. It had been charred (obviously by looking at it) on the top and the bottom - I like, medium, rare, barely medium rare in the center no juice whatsoever dry and chewy.... I did not complain and that is on me. The twice baked potato was cold and the scoop of butter placed in the center never melted. My husband's prime rib was OK not exceptional. Baked potato was perfect in my opinion for the price that we paid for these It was extremely disappointing....

Yelp
This is a true love story with the history my family and myself have with this restaurant. When I was a kid for the better part of 30 years we ate every Mother's Day here. It felt elite, we were usually the only Black family in the building but they treated us like family. As time passed this was not the case. It is a place for everyone to come and get the best steaks, fries, garlic bread, massive baked potatoes and whole fried catfish. STILL family run and it shows in the care they give. There are some waiters and waitresses that have been here for decades, that says something. Oh, and come for the lunch specials, FIRE!!!! Thanks Jess and Jim's my family appreciates yours. SARA ROCKS!!!! All smiles and very helpful and she juggled the whole bar area during lunch.

Randy K.

Yelp
Very good ! Service was great as always ! Sat in bar area...Chicken livers good as always. ! Chicken fried steak cooked properly. Can't beat the free beets . Chocolate peanut butter pis is wonderful !

Yelp
My family took me out for a birthday dinner. They asked me where I would like to go.After some research I picked Jess & Jims based on reviews that I read. we arrived and were seated and ordered some tremendous appetizers (onion rings and mushrooms). But we came for the steak. The Playboy cut was ordered and was excellent. My wife's prime rib was crap and I ordered the ribeye and lobster tail. The ribeye was great the lobster tail the most overcooked lobster I ever had. I would suggest they remove it or Lear to cook them. My son in laws chicken fried steak was great. Oh and after informing them on the reservation it was a birthday and the hostess when we arrived and the waitress not even an acknowledgement. I have had better meals at Texas Roadhouse.

Yelp
A current update- food is always wonderful. We had our first date here, and just celebrated our 10 year anniversary here. Service is always good and the food is SO good. Definitely recommend the fried mushrooms and Gouda Mac n cheese bites as appetizers!! The prime rib is amazing as always.

Yelp
Love love this place! Me and my husband took my father in law here for a nice dinner. Always have loved their food when we visit. This is one place we continue to visit when we are in MO. Thank you so much for having awesome food and great service we truly appreciate everything about this place!

Yelp
We had Saturday 6:00pm reservations for party of 5. Although it was very crowded at that moment (hostess was overwhelmed) we were overlooked at the hostess stand. Although the restaurant was busy there were open tables. Food arrived in timely manner. This is where it went south...... staff were eager to clear finished plates as each person finished to the point that the last adult in our party had just taken the last bite and they picked up his plate AND he was still eating his side dish. He wasn't asked "are you finished?" The plate was rudely removed while sitting in front of him. With no fork (taken away on the plate) he had to use a spoon to eat his side dish. We were promptly provided the check while he was still eating. Nothing like a subtle "we're ready for you to leave." My daughter's half eaten basket of fries were also snatched away AND she was still eating them! The server didn't ask if the was done. What the heck??? As we walked past the hostess stand to leave, no one was waiting to be seated. Empty lobby!! If you don't want to pay for rude service and feel like being rushed don't eat here! Better and nicer establishments with the same prices. Since when do restaurants suggest a 22-30% tip?? Not possible under these conditions and we won't go back which is unfortunate since we've been eating here for 18 years.

Yelp
My son had a great experience at this restaurant in the past. Sunday, 7/20, he had reservations for us to celebrate my 70th birthday. The service was terrific and our server did a great job. We were a table of 9 adults and one toddler, and she was great getting our drinks and getting the food out on time. It was the food that was the problem. I get that on a Sunday afternoon in the summer, they might not have the "A" crew on the grill but the food was beyond bad. EVERY SINGLE STEAK was undercooked. The mediums were medium rare, the medium rares were rare, and my wife's filet was medium when ordered medium well. I ordered the sirloin and I could barely get my steak knife through it. The sear was so thick and hard that my steak knife would barely scratch it. The longer I chewed it, the bigger it got in my mouth. My wife's twice baked potato literally had oil/fat pooling up in the middle of it. It was disgusting. Save you money and find an Applebee's.

Yelp
I used to work in Martin City, Missouri and enjoyed all the incredible restaurants located there. However, I always preferred Jess & Jim's over the rest; the quality of food was just...one step above the others. I had not been there in almost twenty years when my parents asked if I would like to join them while I was in town...they didn't have to ask twice. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer - always a treat, so we ordered two rounds. For the dinner, it was a no-brainer: I was going to splurge and get the filet. SIMPLY INCREDIBLE. While the food is a bit on the expensive side...you get what you pay for. So, expect to pay higher prices for a steak. However, also expect to get one of the best steaks you'll ever have.

Yelp
On my final evening in town for work (Thursday March 16), I met up with an old friend who took me here based on his recommendation. I loved the old style restaurants, especially if they're steakhouses. I ordered the 5 ounce filet mignon and I think he got the ribeye with the livers and gizzards appetizer. I should've tried one of his gizzards because I've never had one before. Anyway, I loved my steak. So much that it was the best meal of my time here. Before I forget, the service was great throughout our time too.

Yelp
My credit card info was stolen and charged again the next month. Plus it was charged by Jacquelines Liquor in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Yelp
Back for another dinner. Steaks are about as good as it gets. Prices competitive to other steak houses Biggest baked potato I've ever seen. Service as you would expect from an upscale restaurant.

Yelp
This is not a fancy steak restaurant. You will not feel like your at a chicago high end restaurant. What you will get is one of the best steak and potato dinners KC has to offer. Exactly the same as when we first went in 1979. Old school steak joint. Go hungry and ask for the beets.

Yelp
I was really hoping that this place would blow me away, it's a KC classic! Made a reservation for Christmas Eve dinner for a party of 8. We were seated immediately. The decor is really old school. Not rustic and shabby chic--just shabby. We started with drinks and appetizers. Drinks took a very long time to arrive, and our waitress didn't even take our appetizer orders until 30 minutes in. By the time we placed a second round of orders in, we went ahead and ordered our meals too, because she was so hard to track down. Opted for the 8oz filet mignon with a side of mashed potatoes. All entrees came with a salad--it was fresh, nothing spectacular. The steak was just... ok. Honestly... my recipe for steak that I make on the iron skillet with butter tastes just as good, or better. Did it taste good? Yes. Was I impressed? No. We ended up spending about 2 hours here because the waiting in between took so long

Yelp
We went here on a week night. We were visiting from out of state and wanted a nicer dinner. My old fashioned was good and strong. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Our server brought the garlic toast but I was kind of bummed not to get the table beets. I didn't see them on the menu to order and I love beets. I cannot remember our servers name but she was super nice and her service was great. This would be a go to date night place for us if we lived closer!

Yelp
My husband picked this restaurant for his birthday. I wasn't too thrilled after reading Yelp reviews, but it was his birthday, so I went in with an open mind. I would describe the atmosphere as rustic dive. They brought pickled beets right away and took our drink order. The wine prices were good and I was able to find a couple I liked. I ordered the 5oz filet and my husband ordered the 8oz filet. He tried to get prime rib but they just ran out. The meals came with salads and garlic toast...which were both tasty. We sat with our finished salad plates in front of us (as several people passed by) for at least ten minutes. The steak was tender but lacked a little flavor. The highlight was the massive baked potato. I'm sure this was an amazing steakhouse at one time. We are glad we tried it but most likely won't be back.

Yelp
Great hamburger! Grilled to perfection with a nice crust, but keeps its juiciness. Service has always been good. Chicken fried steak is good but the burger is a must.

Yelp
The menus were dirty and so was the silverware. The onion rings and livers were great. Our steaks were below average. Two of us had fillets, one chicken and one had a rib eye. We all agreed the steaks were one step above Golden Corral. Baked potatoes were huge and good, but just barely warm. The house cabernet was awful. I've had Carlo Rossi jug wine that was better. The meal was very disappointing since we had a guest from Alabama and we had raved about our Midwest steaks. It will be the last time we ever eat there. Our server was very nice and accommodating, but she couldn't overcome the poor meal.
