My family & I arrived at Beth Marie’s at 9:08 p.m. on 10/14. My daughters decided to order a scoop of chocolate ice cream and two shakes. As soon as my daughter ordered her shake, the young lady taking our order scoffed, rolled her eyes, and checked her watch clearly annoyed. Then she said out loud, “I’m going to have to do that last because that’s going to take me a while, and we close in 5 minutes,” with an attitude. When we ordered the second shake, her frustration grew.
I was shocked, to say the least. We’ve been to Beth Marie’s with just a minute to close before and have never received such horrible service. I commented, “Wow, you’re in a hurry to leave,” and she quietly replied, still irritated, “I’ve been here all day on a 12-hour shift… I’m sorry.”
I understand being tired after a long day, but what kind of person gets an attitude with a child, for asking for a shake? It completely ruined our night and made us so uncomfortable. To top it off, the employee’s significant other was sitting at the table waiting for her to get off work, which made the whole situation even more awkward.
I’ve never had such terrible customer service at Beth Marie’s, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning. It’s disappointing because this location used to be my favorite.
