"Opened in January 2012 in the historic Audubon Building on Canal Street, this cheeky newcomer is a departure from the New Orleans hotel scene (which tends toward the traditional). Its motto, “Play Naughty, Sleep Saintly,” appropriately captures the property’s saucy, sultry vibe, especially in the bordello-like Burgundy Bar and in the five suites, added in 2014 and named after the archangels Christopher, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Lucifer. By comparison, the restaurant, with its white walls and banquettes paired with antique chandeliers and local artwork, is more demure. Standard rooms are similarly minimalist—though without sacrificing comfort or any of the usual modern conveniences, including 46-inch flat-screen televisions and free Wi-Fi."

The Saint

"A 166-room, $45-million renovation of the century-old Audubon Building, in the northwest corner of the French Quarter close to the Superdome. A bright medley of old and new. The Burgundy Bar is a study in bordello chic, with deep-red banquettes and Venetian plaster walls; the restaurant is bathed in white. Hand-painted murals of old New Orleans decorate the eight-story stairwell; minimalist modern guest rooms are plain but comfortable, with indigo ceilings and white-lacquered furniture."

The Best Spots for a Pre-Carnival Parade Bite on Canal Street

"Tempt is the breakfast, lunch and dinner joint in the sassy Saint Hotel, a handsome space facing Canal Street. The menu is kind of funny — everything is “wicked”; “sexy”; or an “aphrodisiac.” The burgers and sandwiches are tasty and the variety — from shrimp and grits to boudin balls and salads — gets the job done." - Beth D'Addono

My husband & I visited New Orleans for the very first time to celebrate our 2 yr wedding anniversary & choosing to stay at The Saint Hotel was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment we arrived, everything was top tier. The hotel is beautiful, clean, & full of charm, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the staff, especially our Bartender, Spencer. Spencer was an absolute vibe from day one! Personable, attentive, & genuinely talented at what he does. He took such amazing care of us EVERY night we stopped by the bar. He even created a signature drink just for me & named it, & it was so good that we skipped our dinner reservations on a few nights just to hang out at the bar with him. His energy, hospitality & great spirit made our trip feel extra special. From the front desk to room service, every single staff member delivered exceptional service. You can tell The Saint Hotel really takes pride in hiring the best people because we felt welcome & well taken care of the entire stay. For our first time in New Orleans, this hotel set the bar HIGHHHH. We’ll definitely be back & we’ll definitely be looking for Spencer! ✨🥂🍾

This hotel is a true gem in New Orleans. The rooms were spotless, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. The location couldn’t be better—right on Canal Street and within walking distance to tons of great restaurants and attractions. What really made the stay special was the service. The front desk staff went above and beyond with their kindness and attention. They were incredibly accommodating and genuinely made me feel welcome from check-in to check-out. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Spencer at the bar is the best bartender! The drinks were one of the best I’ve had. Amazing bar atmosphere. The staff at the hotel were so friendly We came for my birthday weekend and they were very accommodating. The room was a bit disappointing. The air vent was dirty as was the furniture. The carpet was a bit dingy. Overall, a great vibe.

I had an amazing experience with the saint. I would recommend anyone to stay. The rooms have a modern yet vintage feel. Large mirrors which the girls love! I lost my phone and within 8hrs they notified me that it had been found. The hospitality was on another level! I really enjoyed my stay. Randy at the front desk was awesome along with Mason and Robert . When I come back I’ll be stay at the Saint! My only issue which was resolved quickly was the tub backed up.

My husband and I came here for my birthday trip and we loved it. It’s the perfect location. It’s near to all the attractions but it is not on Bourbon Street. Bourbon is about 2 blocks away. We got a welcome bag and the young man at the desk was able to get us our room before checking which was located on the 3rd floor by the gym which is ideal for me. We were always greeted coming in and leaving out. Everyone was amazing, from checkin to checkout. Robert and Carlos were so helpful in helping us get our bags in to our Uber on checkout

Title: Disappointing Stay – Poor Room Cleanliness and Lack of Follow-Up My wife and I stayed at The Saint Hotel, New Orleans, French Quarter, Autograph Collection by Marriott Bonvoy from October 23–28, 2025. Unfortunately, our experience was far below expectations for a hotel of this brand and price point. When we arrived, the condition of our room was unacceptable. The carpet was visibly dirty with stains and debris, as if it hadn’t been vacuumed or deep-cleaned in a long time. The bathroom floor was equally unpleasant — sticky and grimy underfoot. We immediately contacted the front desk to report the issue, and they assured us housekeeping would address it the next morning. However, the room was never properly cleaned during our entire stay. Had we not been without transportation, we likely would have switched hotels altogether. For a property under the Marriott Autograph Collection, this level of cleanliness and lack of follow-through is disappointing. The location was convenient, but the overall experience left much to be desired.

I booked this hotel for my family vacation in NOLA expecting Autograph Collection quality — but it was a total letdown. I travel every week for work and stay in hotels constantly, and this is easily one of the worst I’ve experienced. The name sounds fancy and the location is great, but that’s about it. The place is old, dirty, and badly maintained. The hallways feel uneven like the floor is sinking under your feet, and the rooms are outdated and uncomfortable. For the price they charge, this hotel should be ashamed — it feels more like a Comfort Inn with Autograph prices. At check-in, even as a Titanium Elite member, I got the tiniest water bottle imaginable — just one for three guests — and a small biscuit. That’s their “welcome gift.” Absolutely ridiculous and cheap. The shower was a nightmare — water sprayed everywhere except where it was supposed to. And breakfast? Don’t even bother. No real eggs, just three cheap pre-made items, and the “avocado toast” was fake avocado spread. Overall, this place is not generous, not clean, and not even close to Autograph Collection standards. They’re using the brand name to overcharge for a run-down hotel. I’ll never stay here again, and honestly, Marriott should downgrade or drop this property altogether.

This is a beautiful hotel. The service and staff was spectacular. The location is great. I wish there was better lighting in the bathroom and the bed was more comfortable. My husband and I are not fans of valet only parking due to bad experiences in the past and it being an inconvenience.
