I booked this hotel for my family vacation in NOLA expecting Autograph Collection quality — but it was a total letdown. I travel every week for work and stay in hotels constantly, and this is easily one of the worst I’ve experienced.
The name sounds fancy and the location is great, but that’s about it. The place is old, dirty, and badly maintained. The hallways feel uneven like the floor is sinking under your feet, and the rooms are outdated and uncomfortable. For the price they charge, this hotel should be ashamed — it feels more like a Comfort Inn with Autograph prices.
At check-in, even as a Titanium Elite member, I got the tiniest water bottle imaginable — just one for three guests — and a small biscuit. That’s their “welcome gift.” Absolutely ridiculous and cheap.
The shower was a nightmare — water sprayed everywhere except where it was supposed to. And breakfast? Don’t even bother. No real eggs, just three cheap pre-made items, and the “avocado toast” was fake avocado spread.
Overall, this place is not generous, not clean, and not even close to Autograph Collection standards. They’re using the brand name to overcharge for a run-down hotel. I’ll never stay here again, and honestly, Marriott should downgrade or drop this property altogether.
