My wife and I ate here recently for our anniversary and we were pretty happy with everything we experienced that night. We were seated next to a very large group, but we were still able to enjoy our meal and have a conversation. The restaurant seems a little outdated, and small things could be changed to improve the vibes and atmosphere. There was a stain on our tablecloth, and some of the lightbulbs were different colors in the chandelier. These things obviously don’t impact the food, but we could not help but notice. The whole dinner took around 2 hours but did not even notice the wait as we were having fun. Our server was kind and attentive, multiple people wished us a happy anniversary, our water cups were always full, our empty plates were taken away promptly and they even lit us a candle in our dessert. Our food was very good, but small things could have been improved to earn 5 stars. My wife’s steak was slightly overdone, and the bacon on my bacon wrapped fillet was very fatty and not cooked as much as I think it should have been. The leaves of my wife’s salad were wilted and not very crisp. Everything else, especially the quality of my actual steak, was fantastic. They included a free dessert for our anniversary which was very nice. Although not a perfect dining experience, it was very good and we were not disappointed. There are not many fancy dining options for special occasions in Sioux Falls, but we enjoyed our meal here, and we are happy we went. We will be coming back again!

Even on a unexpected busy prom night we we able to find seating in the lounge. The staff members are courteous and professional. The food is nothing short of phenomenal. The steak is always cooked to perfection. You can not go wrong with a traditional baked potato, tonight I tried the risotto and it did not disappoint. Most places skimp out on the steak portions, not Morries. The cheesecake is a very nice light cheesecake, some of the best I have had. I will always choose to come here when I am in Sioux Falls. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

My mom and step dad took me here. Absolutely amazing! We sat in the bar area in a booth, very cool atmosphere, high end steak house but a bit more casual in the bar. The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Wagyu top sirloin with Au Poivre and Spicy Gochujang Brussels Sprouts. We shared the loaded hashbrowns. Finished dinner with amazing Irish coffee and all three shared the turtle cheesecake and Nana’s Carrot Cake. All was absolutely amazing!! Our server was tentative, informative, and helpful.

I came in a Tuesday night and the parking lot was quite full but I was able to get a booth in the lounge without waiting. They have 2 sides of the restaurant, the dining room and the lounge the lounge has several booths and a bar. There was a bit of a wait until the waitress came so I already decided what to order and ordered my meal at the same time as my drink. It was a whole before I got bread, the booth next to me who sat and ordered after me had their appetizer and bread before I got bread. They maybe because I ordered water and no appetizer. The bread was worth the wait, when it came, it was warm and fluffy and delicious. I got the Denver cut steak with a side of brussel sprouts and walnuts. The steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. The brussel sprouts at the top of the fish were good but at the bottom, they were soaked with sauce and I couldn't finish them. My water ran out and I waited a while until I finally went up to the bar to get more water. The server was friendly but maybe they were short staffed. She did refill my water when she brought the bill. Plan for a leisurely meal if you dine here. I was alone (had a craving for steak) so would have appreciated speedier service.

We went here for our anniversary and boy they did not disappoint! We had the coconut shrimp for our appetizer. There were six of them and they were massive jumbo tiger shrimp with the most flavorful breading and sauce. I should have made them my meal with a salad. The salad had lettuce and spinach, a variety of tomatoes, shredded carrots, cucumbers and croutons served with a side of creamy ranch dressing and husband had a Caesar salad which looked very tasty with crisp romaine lettuce and fresh shredded parmesan cheese. For my entree I chose to order the oven roasted chicken. It was a whole dang chicken!! I had about 3 bites and I was done because I was so stuffed from the shrimp and salad! It was!delicious, though, with a bourbon glaze, I think, and all kinds of steamed vegetables. My husband had the 8 oz Morgan Ranch Wagyu Top Sirloin (which is what I SHOULD have had size-wise) and the Boursin Mashed Potatoes. The beef was super tender and he said it melted in his mouth and the potatoes were seasoned just right. I also enjoyed a very delightful lavender lemonade mocktail. Yum!! Oh, gosh. And then they gave us a Death By Chocolate cake to share. It was also ginormous and we had to take it home with my leftovers. I must also mention that our waitress, Erica, was excellent. It was all a very pleasant experience. We will definitely go back. 1000% recommended.

Was very delicious and the staff were fantastic! Took mom for Mother’s Day the Friday before definitely make reservations. Yes it’s expensive but it’s worth it to at least have it once because it is so delicious!

My wife and I visited Maurice’s about a week past our birthdays and they decided to honor our birthdays and they were amazing. They actually brought my wife flowers as well as gave us both free dessert. They also gave us both a free drink from their bar. I highly recommend this for a birthday as well as a date night decision. And the service was also amazing, very professional, but also very personable.

After two weeks at hunt camp in Missouri, we decided to treat ourselves to Morrie’s Steakhouse in Sioux Falls on our way back to Washington state,—and it was an experience to remember. Despite our less-than-polished attire (sweatpants and hoodies, straight from camp life, but hey at least we were clean and smelled nice 🤷🏼‍♀️), we were welcomed into this elegant steakhouse. Admittedly, the hostess gave us a bit of a glance—understandable given the upscale atmosphere—but once seated, we felt completely at ease thanks to our phenomenal server, Erin. Erin truly made our evening. She was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, answering all our questions with patience and providing spot-on recommendations. Her genuine kindness and top-tier service erased any worries we had about not “fitting in.” And the food? Simply incredible. The steaks were cooked to perfection—exactly as ordered—and the French onion soup exceeded even the glowing reviews we’d read online. Every bite was a testament to the restaurant’s reputation for excellence. Morrie’s is now a tradition for us whenever we pass through Sioux Falls. We might consider packing something a little more polished next time, but honestly, there’s something charming about showing up in sweats and hoodies after camp—it adds to the story. Either way, we’re looking forward to our next visit to enjoy this first-class dining experience again!
