Wednesday night has special menu items. One of which is their prime rib night held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. However, finding a table was quite cumbersome. You would have to wait for a good hour before a table becomes available and receive your order. In addition, those who reserve a table in the back definitely are timed before their next seating is available for those reserved the table for the next party. Parking is difficult during their special Wednesday night menu items. The prime rib was huge for the portion but it was extremely salty for what was served when you dip it into the au jus sauce. The price point though was great since no need to make a trek up to SF for House of Prime Rib. Worth it? Maybe. Will have to come and try their other BBQ menu items on Wednesday before I give another opinion. In addition, the staff was completely rude and unhelpful. I dare to have that type of staff rudely speak to paying customers. If you understand there's going to be an expected date with many customers coming in, it would be so kind to provide respect to those who are grateful patrons who enjoy coming back here. Otherwise, you lose paying customers who would want to come back

I’ve been coming to High Five Pizza for over 30 years, and everything is always perfect! The pizzas are absolutely delicious, but our family always enjoys the Wednesday Night BBQ. They grill over mesquite charcoal: Chicken, Saint Louis Pork Ribs, Chicken & Ribs, New York Steak, Salmon, and Center Cut Pork Chops. Every 3rd Wednesday of the month is the “Prime Rib Dinner Special.” There is something for everyone on the menu. The atmosphere is always lively and upbeat. The staff is amazing and always accommodating. High Five Pizza has also catered MANY parties that I’ve attended. They are the best!

This place is awesome! Every pizza I tried was amazing. My favorite was the garlic parmesan chicken, and you should definitely try their fries, they’re delicious. Highly recommend!

This place is awesome. A staple of the San Jose pizza 🍕 community. I have come here many times and have never been disappointed. Everything on the menu 😋 is delicious 😋. From salads 🥗 appetizers then their BBQ besides pizza 🍕 to their deep dish pizza 🍕. It always packed from the tables to the bar 🍸. If ur in the area and your craving pizza 🍕 then come here and enjoy great pizza 🍕 with a wonderful staff and friendly strangers, ull be glad you did.

Google
Went here on Wednesday night for their BBQ . Excellent place and one entree is enough to be shared between two people . Entree also comes with unlimited salad bar. I got the special here 10/8 stuffed pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon with potatoes, broccoli and bread . Will want to come back to try other things off the menu

Google
Don’t let the name fool you, High Five Pizza is way more than a pizza shop. Yes, the pizza is consistently delicious, but what keeps locals coming back is their incredible weekly rotation. Every Wednesday they serve barbecue, and it’s honestly some of the best, most affordable BBQ in the area. And every third Wednesday is the famous Prime Rib Night. It’s extremely popular, if you don’t make a reservation early that morning, you probably won’t get a table because the place books up fast. Standing room only. The vibe there is super casual, welcoming, and very family-oriented. You’ll see everyone from kids in sports jerseys grabbing a post-game meal to older couples enjoying a low-key date night. Normally they don’t take reservations, but they do for the Wednesday barbecue/prime rib nights, and the service is always friendly and efficient. It’s a true neighborhood spot: great food, affordable prices, beer and wine only (no hard liquor), a classic salad bar, TVs everywhere including one outside for sports, and plenty of free parking in the plaza. The owners have really built a community gathering place. For me, the best part is that it’s less than half a mile from home. I don’t get to go as often as I’d like because I’m usually traveling or my friends are busy on Wednesdays. Highly recommend. Whether you come for pizza, BBQ Wednesdays, or Prime Rib Night, you’ll leave happy and stuffed.

Google
My family and I stopped by High Five Pizza today and had a great experience. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and potato skins—both were delicious! The pizza had the perfect balance of crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni. The potato skins were hot, crispy, and loaded with toppings—definitely a hit with everyone at the table. The staff was friendly and service was quick. We’ll definitely be coming back for another family meal soon. High five to High Five Pizza!

Google
High Five Pizza is a local favorite that never disappoints. The place has a cozy, laid-back atmosphere that makes it perfect for families or casual nights out. It’s kid-friendly, and there’s plenty of seating both indoors and outside. Parking is super easy, with a large lot right in front. The staff here are incredibly professional — they greet you warmly and check in just the right amount without hovering. We made a table reservation, and everything was ready when we arrived. Service was quick, and our food came out hot and fresh. The pizza was excellent — cheesy, flavorful, and baked just right. Their wings and sandwiches are also must-tries. It’s clear the team takes pride in what they do, from the food to the friendly vibe. Always a great experience!

Yelp
Excellent pizza, great wings, professional staff, fun ambience!! I highly recommend you visit! All my friends and family enjoy this place.

Yelp
Stopped in after passing by this place for years. Pamela took my order over the phone and when I walked in it just came out hot and fresh. The taste was crunchy and delicious with thick crust. A clean nice looking sports bar included. The only problem is it not the same later when you reheat it at home . But, still good.
google avatar

Yelp
4/5 is pretty fitting. I ordered a large 4 topping regular pizza (sausage pepperoni olives mushrooms), came out to be like $33 which is a fair price. Pizza was good and we enjoyed it. It wasn't mind blowing but it was still good. It's hard to find a decent pizza place in the blossom hill area so this place definitely gets points for that. The restaurant was clean and employees were nice. I did a pick-up order though. There were quite a few people eating inside so that was a good sign. I'd order from them again but I'd add more toppings to make it closer to a combo pizza .

Yelp
2 more years and time for another update. My friend loves their French Dip sandwich, although I still haven't tried it. I did, however, try their Potato Skins recently. These crunchy skins had plenty of potato so they were hearty, and they were loaded with plenty of bacon and cheddar cheese. The potato skins came with a couple of containers of Ranch dressing. The skins were a great addition to my go-to pizza order.
google avatar

Alisa B.

Yelp
Ordered over the phone for pick up! To my surprise, this place was crazy busy on a Friday night. Lots of sports fanatics and beer being poured. I was happy to have my pizza ready when I arrived. Piping hot! The crust was decent, very crispy. They didn't skimp out on the toppings! Two topping medium pizza was about $25.
google avatar

Jocelyn C.

Yelp
We always come for the Thai chicken pizza. It's bomb!! So many toppings make the crust a skinny legend (the way I like it). We usually order online and pick up there. They have a separate line for pickups so it's quick and convenient.

Yelp
Great afternoon to visit High Five to watch baseball and NCAA ball! The restaurant was packed with a lunch crowd which made it exciting for all to enjoy. A few of the tables needed to be cleaned but it was a tad busy. The bar was popping and the ambiance was cheerful. We ordered a hot link sandwich which was good but lacked flavor. Maybe the addition of grilled onions would have given it more zip. The pizza was good with a lot of sauce, meat and veggies. We tried a new adult beverage that quenched our thirst with a tad of tangerine. A good place to go for yummy grub and beverages. Highly recommend.

Frances J.

Yelp
Just take my word for it and go on Wednesday for the best bbq pork ribs and chicken this side of Texas and including Texas. Yowzer!! Bring a hearty appetite because the plates are massively generous.

Edmund M.

Yelp
Some of the best pizza and wings in San Jose if not best oh and don't forget about the Philly cheese steak and tri-tip all the TV on game day make it the perfect place to enjoy food on the other hand the staff is vary rude and the customer service is horrible but the food makes up for it
google avatar

Destiney M.

Yelp
This place needs to work on their customer service, bartender was extremely rude. We were here before they opened and waited to secure a table for a large group, This place has 20 TVs and only wants to put the 49er game on one tv so out of our party of 12 people only one side of the table had a tv. Apparently this is a "Steelers bar" I will not be coming back to give this establishment my money again. GO NINERSSSSSSSS If you're looking for a good place to watch football definitely go to Rookies, they show every game!
google avatar

Bindi S.

Yelp
Nice lively place. Good beer selection. Got the supreme veggie pizza and it was chock full of toppings. Tasty and nice crust. Very reasonably priced too! Order at the counter and they will call out your name when it's ready.
google avatar

Stephen F.

Yelp
Food especially the pizza here is amazingly good. Pizza is better here than most pizza joints. Service can be a bit slow since they are very busy during the evenings and weekends. The ambiance is a bar with sports on the TV. They also have beer on tap, fountain drinks, and plenty of seating. However on busy days, seatings can be tough to find. I would come here again but not during peak times.
google avatar

Incynthia T.

Yelp
Lovely neighborhood pizza joint to catch a game with a great slice and pint. Staff is super friendly. Have been going here with my family for over a decade. Love that they have daily specials and outdoor seating for summer/spring sports!

David G.

Yelp
My first time trying the Prome Rib. I have heard awesome reviews!!! I was told it comes "Med Rare"!!!!I got mone home , 15-20 and it was more like med well!!!!! I called back and talked to a manager and asked about it and They stated to me "it gets done a lot more when transported home!" I'm have had prime rib several times and have taken some home and it never just "became med well done!!!!" Just be aware not to take home any Prime Rib or you may get "med well to well done prime rib"""" The chicken and ribs were good.

Yelp
Pleased, for sure. My wife is gluten- free and also picky about pizza crust - problem solved, High Five Pizza. I've driven by here a couple times on my way home from work and am sorry I waited so long to try it because this is a great place to pick up a couple pies. I was happy with my Gluten-FULL pizza. Highly recommend. I did have a complaint, the ice tea was awful. Super disappointing at the price I counted over a dozen TVs so it's a great place to catch the sport of your flavor and the service was good. Smelled like the pizza parlors of yore when your parents would shove quarters in your pocket and tell you to beat it to the arcade in the back. The dining room was less than half full so our food came up quickly. Check it out!
google avatar

Van L.

Yelp
I did an online order for pick up. It was ready on the dot which was perfect! The staff members were very nice and helpful. Since I did a big order, they helped me bring all the food to the car. They gave me a lot of ranch which is a huge plus! The pizza is delicious! I'm always satisfied with the food. Get the potato skins! They're the best! I ate here once and it's a great place to drink and hang out with friends.
google avatar

Yelp
Panko halibut special during Wednesday BBQ night is pretty good. I love flaky white fish, and it's not too common to see halibut offered, so I appreciate High Five Pizza offering it as a special. The tartar sauce was a necessary addition to the halibut. The risotto was just okay, and I was a bit disappointed that the fish special does not come with a baked potato like the other BBQ Wednesday dishes.

Yelp
This place has been in this location since I can remember, but I had never tried it before! Finally it was time to try high five pizza... honestly it's a great, tasty, amazing product but it just tastes too similar to Round Table. They even do the same salad bar set up as Round Table as well..Service was satisfactory, people come here to have drinks, watch sports, be loud and eat pizza. Nonetheless , High Five is quality, but to reach 5 stars it has to stand out on its own
google avatar

Annabelle R.

Yelp
We created our own pizza, half with sausage, mushroom, and onion on pesto sauce, the other half with sausage, mushroom, pepperoni, and jalapeno with regular pizza sauce. Service was standard and sufficient, and it took about 15-20 minutes for our takeout order to be ready, near closing time this past Thursday. The pizza was sooooo yummy, made with quality ingredients. Savory meats, the jalapenos adding a nice spice, and a really delicious pesto sauce, better than what most other pizzerias offer. The crust here is also quite tasty, especially cuz the sauce and generous toppings go all the way to the edges with a nice crunch. Note, if you get ranch on the side, it will be hidden valley brand, but at least they don't charge extra for this.

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place on a recent visit to San Jose as I had seen so many positive reviews....bit unfortunately this place fell far short of expectation. I ordered a small taco pizza via Door Dash...total price SAN delivery was just over $20. It looked good upon opening...but the crust was super hard (almost like several day old bread) and slightly burnt. The burned flavor really came through while eating. I could only manage two slices before discarding. For the premium cost of a 10 inch pizza this should have been much much better.
google avatar

Lina T.

Yelp
Thank you so much for making my first experience eating a gluten free pizza so pleasant! At first, I was skeptical that the crust might not truly be gluten free but ladies and gentlemen- let me tell you... it is gluten free! I can tell because I did not have a sugar spike and feel sleepy after! It is my go to pizza parlor and will order gluten free from now on! Chef's kiss!!!

Yelp
Nice job. Now I know why the parking lot is always crowded. I will be back. Highly recommend. Wednesday is BBQ night.

Yelp
Hey fans, yelp review number 45 here, I didn't order any pizza but I got sandwiches and they were really good. It was oretty hot and the portions were amazing for the price. The cashier was super nice and the environment in the in there was very not cool. Everyone was so nice and I would come back 8.5 out of 10.

Yelp
Pizza here is solid! Its exactly what you would expect when you think of good, classic pizza. Came here for lunch with my dad. I was excited to try this place because I keep hearing how good it is. I wasn't disappointed, even going in with high expectations. Location is in a strip mall with decent parking. I had no issues as it was lunchtime on a weekday. Inside is what you expect for a pizza place. Spacious, clean, and they have TV's playing sports stuff. Service was pleasant and efficient. Food was ready quickly. They have outside seating, which I appreciate, but they have the sports stuff turned up really loud outside. Presumably to drown out car noises. But had to shout at times to have a conversation in order to be heard over the radio. I'm sure it's much louder outside when it's busy (radio + parking lot & street traffic + other patrons). I had a personal size cheese pizza (I like to keep it basic), cooked crispy. They did a perfect job of cooking it just well enough to have a crispness to it without burning it. Cheese to sauce to crust ratio was ideal. Ingredients tasted like they were good quality. It was a deal at $6.50 as the size seemed slightly larger than I expected for a personal pizza. I could only eat half so I got two delicious meals out of it. Dad had a pepperoni pizza, size small, which was also a tremendous value for the size. His was cooked crisp as well, and the pepperoni had that nice cup shape. He said his was very good and put it on par with The Garrett Station on Winchester (his favorite pizza place, which I have not tried so I can't confirm his claim). But he had zero complaints and seemed eager to return to try some other items. Which is saying a lot because he's super picky and critical. Menu: They have many different specialty and popular pizzas with the option to build your own. Long list of sandwiches and appetizers (jalapeño poppers, I'm coming for you next time!). Salads and churro donuts. They have ribs/some kind of red meat item on certain days/nights of the week (Wednesdays? Call restaurant for details). I'm a fan. Looking Forward to going back to try something else!

Yelp
The food at your restaurant was good, but the service we received completely ruined our experience. We came on a busy Wednesday for the barbecue night, and everything seemed fine at first. My family and I were finishing our drinks around 9:00 PM, knowing you closed at 9:30 PM. A little after closing, a waitress was incredibly kind and offered us a complimentary glass of wine, saying we were welcome to sit and finish it. But just two minutes later, a bald guy with glasses came over and told us we had to leave immediately. When we told him we'd just been given permission to stay, he didn't care and made us leave anyway. It was an incredible letdown. This person's behavior was a terrible reflection on your business, and I would hope this isn't the kind of experience you want your customers to have
google avatar

Carl W.

Yelp
My son told me about this place so I had to give it a try. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, and the pizza was great. Lots of toppings, good crust, an overall tasty and flavorful pizza Will definitely be back. I might try one of their sandwiches and have a ice cold beer while watching a game on one of the many TVs they have
google avatar

Jenny D.

Yelp
High Five Pizza is a family owned business that has been in the same place for a long time. There are so many regular customers that love to come here. This is a pizza and burger restaurant and the pizzas are top-notch. Very crisp crust and wonderful toppings. They also have an old-fashioned salad bar which I love. The ingredients are always fresh. There is a bar with cocktails, beer or soda. On Thursdays, the owner does a special barbecue that he does outside on the smoker. If you would like to attend that night, I would advise reservations. It is extremely popular with the regulars. The servers are awesome and so friendly. The ambience is a great sports bar with lots of TVs everywhere. If you want to watch a game, this is the perfect place to hang out and have a great meal while you cheer on your team. There are also a few picnic tables right outside the restaurant if you would like to sit outside.
google avatar

Jessica V.

Yelp
I strutted into this joint pumped up for Superbowl, but dang, it was like the whole town decided to party here! Lesson learned: arrive early if you want to watch the big game here! We had to wait about 45 minutes at the bar, which was pretty long, but were understanding that they had a long line of orders ahead of us. Luckily we kept ourselves occupied with a couple of beers at the bar while we watched the game. Bartenders were really nice and attentive. We also ordered with the bartender instead of waiting in the long cue line to order, so if there's ever a long line at the register, you can always order with the bartender! I also noticed they had their barbecue pit outside which they typically only host on Wednesdays, a rare treat on a Sunday! We ordered the buffalo wings made extra crispy. These were good! Satisfying and not spicy. I think when you bake the sauce in then it's not as spicy. We got a large half and half of hawaiian and the All American with added artichokes. It was a good, solid pizza! I was happy, but pricing seems a bit expensive. Maybe I haven't had a lot of pizza lately to compare market prices, but that's what it felt like. Also the large pizza is smaller than the large at Costco if anyone cares about reference.
google avatar

Lindsey C.

Yelp
High Five Pizza is a great place to hangout with family and watch a game or order pick up. They have a gluten free crust which is super tasty and crispy. I usually go for the all American, the heater, or a pepperoni. My friend likes the salads, loaded tots, and the sandwiches as well. The staff is always super kind and the pizzas usually come out quick. Would recommend!
google avatar

Phil N.

Yelp
Great tasting pizza and wings. The jalapeño poppers are also super good but I forgot to take a picture! The pizza is really good though! I enjoyed the taste of the bread, toppings, and tomato sauce. The cuts were small so it's easy to grab and eat. Since I eat a lot I would probably go with 2 pizzas if your party is big. I recommend checking it out!

Elizabeth V.

Yelp
Placed a TO-GO order. Ordered a XL ALL AMERICAN and it was delicious. The only thing I can really point out is the slices. The size of a slice is ridiculously small. Can you guys please just cut me a decent size no little slivers. I need a big hefty slice. Other then that I loved it. The wings are delicious as well. This place never disappoints. Will be coming back for the bbq.
google avatar

Matt A.

Yelp
Food- had the Philly Cheese steak with fries! That's the reason why I make special stop at this resturant! This sandwich, very good! With Fries! Smoking hot, tasty, big pile of fries! Restaurant has a ton of TVs, full bar, table seating, bar seating, clean, polite, I feel a good value $!
google avatar

William A.

Yelp
Some beers and pizza for the win. Modelo draft beer was going down good. Service ambience was good
google avatar

Yelp
This is probably the best pizza in San Jose. It always hits the spot. The service here is great and the setting is like a family sports bar.
google avatar

Charles C.

Yelp
Here for my annual Corned Beef Sandwich & Fries. High Five goes all out on St. Paddy's Day and the day after is always Corned Beef Sandwiches!
google avatar

eva p.

Yelp
High five was my go to pizza place, what I liked about the pizza was the great crispy crust, I ordered a small I ask for crunchy, it was but I was disappointed in the crust, it was stale, not fresh, I will try again hopefully it was just that one time.
google avatar

Abhilasha S.

Yelp
Pizzas are customizable and so well priced. They have a good selection of beers and wines. Also have frozen margaritas in different flavors. Service is really friendly and quick. Ambiance is that off a sports bar. They have tons of condiments such as ranch, ketchup and mustard, which they very generously provide to all patrons. Overall loved the experience. Value for money! Definitely check it out.
google avatar

Sonia S.

Yelp
Best pizza in San Jose! Why you havent gone! what you waiting for. Salad bar, sandwiches, wings, appetizers sometimes nightly bbq specials. Good for sports night with family. Full bar. Family friendly
google avatar

J M.

Yelp
Delicious pizza, great environment, fast when it's slow (rare that they're slow) and can take a bit when busy, but makes sense because it gets packed. Always have sports on so all big games are available. Love this place!
google avatar

Vince M.

Yelp
Great pizza place and the Pizza is always consistent and on point. Plus the service is always good. Nice place to watch the game and enjoy some good food. My go to pizza is the half combo and garlic Parmesan chicken pizza.
google avatar

Jason H.

Yelp
Outstanding food all the way around! The front staff were very nice and efficient, from taking orders to serving all beverages from the bar. A nice variety of beer and wine, too. The Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pizza was amazing! Well balanced throughout: dough; sauce; and toppings. The Chicken Caesar Salad looked very good, as well. Everything was reasonably priced. The food came out fairly quickly and it was a packed house - both inside and outside seating. Plenty of large TVs with a variety of games showing. Parking on a weekend was challenging, but you just have to walk from the McDonald's side. It clearly is not be the closest by far, but it just became one of my favorite pizza spots in the South Bay.

Don F.

Yelp
Every Wednesday evening there is a selection of BBQ dinners. We eat there every week and along with the 5 regular BBQ dinners there is usually a special dinner that changes each week. This week it was a 36 oz Tomahawk Steak with Shrimp Skewer and Snow Crab Claws. Includes a Salad, Baked potato, and Garlic Bread. The meal was fantastic.
google avatar

Neil A.

Yelp
The pizza here is top notch. I ordered the All-American with jalapeños, pineapple, and extra sauce. It was a busy night and my takeout order was ready in 20 mins just as promised. I love the service. Everyone was friendly and the staff acknowledged me. I love that in a business. Everything about the pizza was delicious. The sauce was perfect with chunks of tomato. I could not get enough of it. I hope there are some coupons out there. I would definitely go here again!
google avatar

Meighan D.

Yelp
great pizza for a competitive price. we loved our takeout order! the restaurant was packed on a tuesday night, so they must be doing something right here.
google avatar

Tamara N.

Yelp
High Five is always packed! I love that you can walk up and order food. Makes it easy to grab to go. You can wait in the bar area and catch a game while you wait if there is a seat. There are a couple games to play for kids (pinball and such), lots of tv's for all of the games on tv. It's a laid back feeling that makes it great for parties and such. I wish they were on doordash more often. We love ordering on a Sunday to watch football at home but it's always a hit or miss if they will be available.
google avatar

Solemon K.

Yelp
This isn't about the food. The pizza is good. I was put onto this place many years ago and have gone ever since. Matter fact, it was a sad day when the sports plex closed their location, as we knew good pizza wouldn't be sold anymore there. Recently I went to this location, and yes our party had some fun. It happens. I paid for a pitcher of 805. The person that rang me out said I can get it later. Ok cool. I forgot to get the pitcher later. I went back literally the next day to talk to someone. Of course you have to talk to someone that has to talk to someone that has to talk to someone. She said she would give me a call after she goes through the receipts. Fine no problem until a phone call wasnt made. You cannot, again you cannot tell me they don't have a way of figuring out if someone is lying about an order. And I was in my work clothes, which you can see from long distance. Again just a message of a bad customer service day. For the most part the service is good. This, not good at all. Now question is does the establishment actually truly care? Remains to be seen but I will be shocked.

Yelp
Good food. Good vibe. Slam dunk sandwich is always good. Especially with their Mac with the side.

Yelp
High Five has been around in the area for a long time, and they've got some decent pizzas. I would have given this 4 stars but we ultimately came here for pizza and weren't impressed. Our salad and fries were arguably the best part of our meal over the pizza. It's a bummer they no longer operate the salad bar buffet anymore likely due to COVID precautions, but the salad was still really good. Pretty spacious inside, and it gets busy for dinner and sports events. Would recommend getting water after you order because the bar can get busy. One thing that disappointed us was that our pizza wasn't served as fresh as it could've been. Our names were called prior to the pizza being ready as our fries and salad came out first, but when we came up to check if our pizza was out, it looked like it'd been sitting there. Wish they called our names out again so we knew and had it fresher! FRIES: 4.5/5 This was the family favorite of our meal! The fries were soft inside yet coated in a delicious, crunchy batter that we couldn't stop eating. They're pretty simple, so we weren't expecting much, but they blew us away. The shape is thicker than your average shoestring, which kept things interesting. CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD: 4/5 My mom got this and loved it! I gave it a try as well, and I really enjoyed the chicken. The chicken was thinly cut into strips and was surprisingly tender and flavorful. I'm not the biggest Caesar fan, but the dressing wasn't overwhelming so I enjoyed it. Great addition to the meal as a palate cleanse. LARGE HALF/HALF PIZZA: 3/5 The pizza was only good for the first few minutes it was out, but after that, it all started tasting really lackluster. The sauce and toppings weren't bad by any means, but they also weren't anything that was memorable. I did like that the pizza held up well compared to others where they start to fall and get really soggy. In turn, the dough was a bit thicker than I'd like, which is probably how the slices held.

Yelp
Master Chef Miles always delivers the best quality bbq food on Wednesdays. Texas BBQ plate is todays special. I am in heaven. Thank you for making my day for the past 36 years. Customer for life.
