Don’t let the name fool you, High Five Pizza is way more than a pizza shop. Yes, the pizza is consistently delicious, but what keeps locals coming back is their incredible weekly rotation. Every Wednesday they serve barbecue, and it’s honestly some of the best, most affordable BBQ in the area. And every third Wednesday is the famous Prime Rib Night. It’s extremely popular, if you don’t make a reservation early that morning, you probably won’t get a table because the place books up fast. Standing room only.
The vibe there is super casual, welcoming, and very family-oriented. You’ll see everyone from kids in sports jerseys grabbing a post-game meal to older couples enjoying a low-key date night. Normally they don’t take reservations, but they do for the Wednesday barbecue/prime rib nights, and the service is always friendly and efficient.
It’s a true neighborhood spot: great food, affordable prices, beer and wine only (no hard liquor), a classic salad bar, TVs everywhere including one outside for sports, and plenty of free parking in the plaza. The owners have really built a community gathering place.
For me, the best part is that it’s less than half a mile from home. I don’t get to go as often as I’d like because I’m usually traveling or my friends are busy on Wednesdays.
Highly recommend. Whether you come for pizza, BBQ Wednesdays, or Prime Rib Night, you’ll leave happy and stuffed.
