The ambiance here is sleek, sophisticated, and low-key—perfect for a more intimate dining experience. We visited on a Saturday and were surprised at how quiet it was, which worked in our favor since we reserved a private dining area for a retirement party. The setup was perfect, and the staff and our server were incredibly attentive, helpful, and thoughtful throughout the evening. For drinks, we ordered a variety which included espresso martini, lemon drop martini, champagne margarita (table favorite) and blackberry bourbon lemonade. I don’t think you can go wrong on any of the drinks offered. For appetizers, we tried the raw oysters, blue crab claws, tuna tataki, and brussels sprouts. The standouts were definitely the tuna and brussels sprouts—both were outstanding! Even my daughter, who usually avoids raw fish, went back for seconds on the tuna. For entrees, we ordered the brown butter drum, crawfish Mac & cheese, and the tenderloin. The drum was okay—nothing particularly memorable. The crawfish Mac & cheese was amazing-creamy and cheesey! The portion is very generous and can be shared. Unfortunately, my fiancé had to send his tenderloin back as it was overcooked, which was a bit disappointing. While the service and starters were excellent, I found the entrees a bit underwhelming for the price. That said, I would consider coming back just for the tuna, crawfish Mac & cheese, and brussels sprouts, and perhaps to try a different main course.

We had a terrible experience here for dinner! First of all, there were several fruit flies all around the bar and dining area, no matter what section you were in. We ordered the seafood tower and chargrilled oysters and were very disappointed. The seafood tower was extremely underwhelming and not worth the $165 price. The chargrilled oysters were severely overcooked and dry as a bone. You can see in the photo only one oyster had any juice and the rest were DRY and tiny. We came because it was highly recommended but left hungry and disappointed. Only redeeming quality was that our waiter and bartender was great.

Google
Business dinner with a colleague seated outside during excellent weather, great atmosphere. Service was ok, not bad but nothing exceptional for a higher end restaurant as the waiter seemed a bit young and inexperienced. I deducted two stars for the food because it was not exceptional, the fried oysters were overly salty and there were bits of oyster shells fried into the cornbread that made me almost chipped my tooth. If it was just one random piece I would not have minded but there were multiple pieces of shell. The beet and arugula salad was good, topped with grilled shrimp. The tiramisu was presented well but the taste left much to be desired as it tasted more like cheesecake.

Google
Went here for New Years Eve dinner and could not have asked for a better experience. It was not too loud so could have easy conversation. Waitress and trainee were super friendly and the food was delicious.I want to go back already! Our tenderloin came out a little more raw than we would have liked for medium and they happily took it back and made a completely new plate. It did take a little time but they discounted it and we were also given two desserts. Highly recommend!

Google
A perfect blend of coastal elegance and Southern hospitality, Beausoleil delivers fresh seafood, premium ingredients, and vibrant Gulf Coast flavors. I highly recommend the brown butter drum—I felt adventurous and swapped the garlic mashed potatoes for the dirty rice risotto, and it was absolutely worth it. Don’t skip the New Orleans-style charbroiled oysters—they’re a must-have during happy hour.

Google
I took my wife here for dinner last week. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were hard and sort of dry. My wife had the Hickory Salmon, she actually like the salmon, but the side was bland. I ordered the Crawfish Mac & Cheese (NEVER AGAIN). I was giving Velveeta shells and cheese w/o any flavor! The cheese was watery and the taste was BLAND! I also ordered the Provencal Chicken, it was just blah....The service was exceptional, but they don't cook!

Google
I came to here on a Sunday after church for brunch. I can honestly say I’ve never had food so bad in my life. I ordered gumbo, it came out cold and the rice was so gummy they literally just put a gummy ball in the bowl. I also ordered a Cesar salad and it had wilted pink lettuce in it. The waitress brought the manager to the table and I told him to just look at the food. I don’t even understand how they even thought the food was presentable. The service was okay…? The team seemed extremely confused and out of it. They were not rude but could use more coaching on professionalism. Overall, I think this restaurant is focusing more on appearance and ambience rather than food.

Yelp
I'm writing this with that completely satiated, full feeling still lingering--Beausoleil Coastal Cuisine turned out to be a winner. It was our second choice this morning after another spot's wait time proved too long for the boys, so I suggested we pivot here, a brunch place I'd been eager to try for a while. Arriving, we were greeted by a pleasant hostess, and with the volume of patrons still light on this Saturday mid-morning, we were seated quickly. Our waitress, Danielle O, was right behind, attentive and efficient. We started with the pork cheeks, crab cake, and biscuits with jam--awesome, fresh, and full of flavor. The mimosa was off-the-charts fantastic, a perfect brunch companion. For entrees, my sons went with the waffles, cooked to perfection, while I savored the crawfish omelette, loaded with that coastal Louisiana flair. As we ate, the place started to fill up, with a steady flow of patrons adding to the lively yet relaxed upscale-casual vibe--a tacit sign that the food here is consistently fresh and spot-on. We all left satisfied, happy, and joking about, thanks to the excellent service and welcoming atmosphere. I didn't realize Beausoleil is part of the City Pork - City Hospitality Group, which explains the polished touch. We'll definitely return for brunch and will give dinner a try too. Yelp
We used to be HUGE fans of Beausoleil. We made reservations for last night and the place was virtually empty- or at least the emptiest we've seen it in years. We were seated quickly in the bar area right next to a table that remained dirty our entire 3 hour stay. I was really looking forward to my usual dinner as well as the sushi- only to find that the menu had a massive overhaul and downsized. The menus were on paper and were noticeably dirty. As a group we settled on the Brussels for an appetizer along with the fried oysters- both of them were good. Dinner was limited to about 8 choices with very few that were truly 'coastal.' I opted for the pork chop. For $46 it was just an underwhelming dish all together. The sweet potatoes and collard greens were runny. The pork chop itself was flavorful but something I could've made just as good at home. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Stab's until Beausoleil can get back to what they were before.

Yelp
The gumbo is so good! My pork chop was perfectly cooked to my requested medium well, and was super flavorful in addition to my mashed sweet potatoes and collard greens. Service was nice, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server provided lovely recommendations on drinks and entrees.

Yelp
Beausoleil is one of the best restaurants around! This hidden gem (although not so hidden in the bocage area) always delivers the best fine dining and experience around. The food is always phenomenal with new dishes for the seasons. Would love to see the wagyu and the orange shrimp added back to the menu. The truffle fried oysters are always a hit! We cannot pass these up anytime we go. We went for an early dinner - wish they would have sat us on the bar side where more people were but they sat us in the main dining room and we were the only table - the ambiance felt a little off. Service was great except they were training a new server who had not really studied the menu before shadowing. We will be back for the food!

Yelp
Honestly, the service was amazing. The food was okay. My favorite dish was the Brussel sprouts. Everything else was okay. The atmosphere was great. Beautiful set up. I'll visit again to order more. It's worth me giving it another shot. I'm only giving 4 stars because I didn't like majority of the food. I looked at the menu in the reviews and the menu in the restaurant was very limited and didn't have one of the meals I wanted to try.

Yelp
I finally stopped at Beausoleil for lunch on yesterday. Surprisingly, for a Friday during lunch it was too busy. I was warmly greeted and seated within a few minutes. The waiter was right behind with a pleasant smile and attentiveness. The overall vibe here is nice, calming, clean and airy. The pictures which adorn the walls are a nice touch as well. I could have ordered from the lunch menu but my eyes and taste bud were quickly in tune with: One half dozen chargrilled Nola oysters which were nicely warmed with French bread. The oysters were not really "charred" in the traditional sense but they were "toasty" and balanced well with the bread or alone. Only one was not done to my desired taste. The price for the oysters was $18.00 kinda the norm though. I also ordered the Hemingway daiquiri which was nice citrusy and refreshing and mixed well with the oysters and my entrée. The drink was $12.00. Now for the entrée, I ordered the Yoruba red snapper, which was very good. The portion size was nice and it was cooked to perfection. The jollof rice was moist and balance however, most of the seasoning was placed on the red snapper, but when eaten together with the blistered tomatoes and sautéed spinach, it balances well. My preference would have been for more flavor within the rice and more spice like I've had with traditional Nigerian jollof, but this was a nice comparison with a French style to it which I would more than likely order again. The price of the snapper was $39.00. Again, I am a visual eater so if it looks pretty, I'm trying it and I'll think about the price later! Thinking about the price...for lunch my total came to $76.24 minus the tip. I will come back and try more things on the menu I probably will do the lunch menu to get a variety of the different items that they have here. But overall, if you're willing to pay the price, you will enjoy a lovely lunch, dinner, brunch or drink I will be back.

Yelp
Always such great food I've never had a bad meal there! Melt in your mouth goodness! Vibe is there, such a romantic place!! The service is unbeatable!

Yelp
Went for an anniversary/ valentines date on Feb 15th. I made a reservation maybe a month in advance but it wasn't packed. Everything was great, light music and dim lighting made for perfect conversation volume. I always get a little anxious with fancy places but the staff was welcoming! The food was amazingly good, not sure if they had a special menu because of the holiday but we had paper menus. Unfortunately we wanted dessert but they canceled the campfire dessert. Surprisingly they had a few teen birthday dinners going on.

Yelp
Brunch was excellent! Variety of options on brunch menu, many tasty sounding cocktails, but I'm a Bloody Mary girl- it didn't disappoint! The interior is sectioned off well for noise control. Josh took care of us, he provided great service! Hope to return again soon.

Yelp
Always amazing every time I go. Our waitress (Jessica) was so sweet and great. Brussel sprouts never disappoint. I ordered the beef tenderloin and it was perfect!

Yelp
I went to Beausoliel Coastal last night for the first time and what great restaurant. I was there with a party of at least 30 for a private event--a wonderful Celebration of life for my 98 year old aunt who was always full of life. We had a lot of fantastic seafood--raw and fried oysters, marinated shrimp and crab claws, crawfish patties and a fabulous spinach and artichoke dip. These things were after the traditional, yet delicious meat and cheese platter and finger sandwiches of all kinds. The Beau was very accommodating and had terrific service. In an effort to honor my aunt who drank white wine spritzers, I asked the bartender if he could make me a red wine spritzer--this drink with red wine, soda and a splash of Prosecco was fabulous. So much so that if you decide to go there ask the bartender Kyle for the Lovelace Spritzer (which my family lovingly named after this fun and amazing young man). Enjoy your time there!!

Kristy K.

Yelp
I got the shrimp, crab, crawfish pasta and it was not very good. It lacked flavor and the crawfish tasted dirty. I would not order this again, especially for $30. The sazerac was delicious.

Yelp
Service was great, had the pb&j burger for their brunch today - it was delicious. Place had a good vibe with chill music and not too loud either. My wife had the chicken and waffle sandwich which she also really enjoyed. Also got drinks which were all really good. A little pricey but it does seem to be a more upscale place. We'll definitely be back!

Seth S.

Yelp
I went here with my girlfriend and her dad, we had a great time and really enjoyed the food! The restaurant is very clean and upscale, and the service was great! Would return

Yelp
We've been coming here for years, but after today, I'm not sure we'll be back. My wife, child, and I stopped in for brunch. I ordered the "Nashville" chicken, which arrived with a hard-fried egg--and, as we later discovered, no hollandaise sauce. When I finally got the server's attention and pointed it out, he offered to have the egg re-cooked. I agreed and waited. Eventually, the manager brought the egg himself and immediately acknowledged that the dish was also missing the hollandaise. Without hesitation, he offered to remake the entire meal. I appreciated that, and the second version came out correctly. He also insisted on comping the dish--not something I asked for or expected. I'm not someone who sends food back looking for a freebie. I just want things done right the first time. But when the check came, I noticed a 75-cent charge for the re-cooked egg. Seriously? I'm guessing the server added it--he seemed disengaged the entire time. It's not about the charge; it's about the principle and obvious lack of sense. To be clear, I added the original $20 meal and a $20 tip, making the total $40 on a $38 bill. They didn't earn it, but I didn't want the comped meal to be mistaken as me trying to get something for free. And I explained this. One last note: when a guest says, "Excuse me," the appropriate response is not "What's up?" That might fly in other settings, but not in hospitality. I'm a customer--not a buddy, a friend, or a lackey. Very dissapointing. Please do better.

Yelp
After birthday brunch date at stab's me and two friends drove over for more cocktails. Two more friends joined us. I had a hummingbird and my friends had side cars & french 75s. One ordered a redfish meal and she really enjoyed it. Our bartender was great & friendly. I went to happy hour alone the Friday before and enjoyed oysters, hummingbirds, & crawfish and lobster tacos. The bartender that day was great and attentive as well.

Yelp
Amazing fooooood! We were driving through from New Orleans back to Texas and stopped for a quick lunch. I was hesitant with the menu. I'm a simple eater.... We ended up with the French onion soup, fried oysters, French toast and chicken and monte cristo. Josh was our server. He was helpful and kind! Great service.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend and I had a wonderful meal for my birthday yesterday. PJ was our server and he was delightful. He made me feel special by bringing out a slice of cake with a candle. My friend doesn't like cake so he brought her a little something special as a surprise also. Just wanted you to know that he created raving fans yesterday--and that's what it's all about. With so many choices of places to dine in BR, it's how you treat people that keeps them coming back. You guys get it!

Ashley S.

Yelp
Such a good spot for brunch! Our server was EXCELLENT and kept us entertained with his menu suggestions.

J B.

Yelp
Great brunch! Food was a bit slow to come out of the kitchen but that's ok. Waitress was very good. Excellent food.

Erin N.

Yelp
Food was absolutely disgusting! When we walked in I was wondering why no one was there. I see why now. Spent $150 on 2 appetizers, 1 soup and 2 glasses of wine for my husbands birthday to have the soup cold and my husband in the bathroom throwing up from the mussel appetizer. The menu was limited and the food was deplorable. We use to love coming here for the delicious food. Never again.

Yelp
My sister was visiting and she really wanted somewhere she could have a few different things. I hadn't been here before but we decided to take a chance. We walked in at 7 on a Friday night and I was worried about being seated timely but we were able to be sat immediately. Unfortunately, our waitress took a while to get to us. She was busy, but we would have appreciated getting our water cups more quickly while we waited on her. Once she knew we were hers, she was super attentive and really sweet. My sister and I decided we would try several things: brussel sprouts, volcano sushi roll, mini lobster and crawfish tacos, duck and crawfish spring rolls and crawfish arancini. The brussels were crispy and the glaze on them was everything. Easily the best I have had in BR. the spring rolls were so flavorful and cooked to perfection. I thought the duck was out of my comfort zone but it was delicious. My sister really enjoyed the arancini and we both loved the volcano roll. The tacos proved too far out of my comfort zone as I've learned I prefer warm tacos. The flavor was good though. The manager did rectify us not enjoying the tacos which we really appreciated. We we're probably slightly underdressed but a cute date night outfit would be perfect. Parking is in a lot and super easy. Couldn't give a 5 star due to minor hiccups (delay of waitress to table) and price for the amount you get for food and drinks. I would still absolutely go back.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in for happy hour today. This was our first time at Beausoleil. Kudos to them for still having their weekly happy hour on Valentine's Day! Most of the other restaurants did not have their usual happy hour. Also, it's nice to be able to eat at anywhere in the restaurant and experience happy hour. We chose to sit outside on the patio because the weather was so nice. The hostess was nice let us pick which table we wanted. The restaurant has a cute southern bistro vibe. We started off with cocktails: old fashioned & French 75 ($5 each)! For food: the Lobster & Crawfish mini tacos, the Duck and Crawfish spring rolls, & the Beausoleil Burger. The spring rolls and burgers were good. My husband wasn't a fan of the mini tacos. Also, i don't believe there were any crawfish tails in the springs or the tacos. The burgers and fries were good. The burger just needed more seasoning, but the beef was real quality! We will definitely be back for the drinks and to try out their brunch menu!

Yelp
Good food!! Consistent restaurant especially for Baton Rouge!! Brunch is always satisfying!

Yelp
Everything was amazing! Had a group of 10 and were able to be sat immediately. A lot of different dishes were ordered and it was all great. If we ever go back to Baton Rouge we will for sure go back

Yelp
This place is pricey, but they do offer some reasonably priced menu items! The atmosphere is very classy, it's a fine dining experience, so dress fancy! Service was attentive and pretty good overall.

Yelp
Enjoyed a business lunch at this locally owned restaurant. Atmosphere was perfect for business conversation and the service was excellent. Enjoyed the creole dishes, pictures to be included in this review. The BBQ shrimp served on a Corn Maque Choux pancake was a great presentation, however the shrimp was over cooked and served with its tails. Pancake proportion was way too big for the dish. Vote if this was helpful.

Yelp
My wife and I discovered Beausoleil in 2024 while traveling in the area for business and we visit each time we're in the Baton Rouge area. The food is always perfectly prepared and well presented. PJ has served us during two of our visits and does an exceptional job representing Beausoleil. He ensures our experience is next level. We'll certainly be back the next time we're in the Baton Rouge area!

Yelp
Food was good, just overpriced. Restaurant is comfortable and decor is thoughtfully done and inviting. We ordered the salmon dish, brussel sprouts, salads and the bisque. The brussel sprouts starter was the star here, some of the best I've had. They serve them with goat cheese and pecans. Yummy! The Salmon had a wonderful char on it, but the accompaniments were nothing special and kind of forgettable. Did not enhance the dish. Entree portions were really small for the outrageous price. The bisque was not notable or on par with others in town we have had. Salads were fine, enjoyable and fresh. Salad dressing was oddly thick. Service was great, felt really taken care of. Would try this place again, but just go for small plates and drinks, rather than dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
Ambience and service is a 5. Food is a 3 We only tried the small plates. Maybe we will go back for entrees

Yelp
I have tried this place a few times but each time has been underwhelming. Food quality is lacking and service hasn't been too great. Lots of potential but I have been disappointed.

Mike D.

Yelp
I'll start with the service was great. However we order their seafood tower $150. Oysters were tiny. I ordered The ribeye. And was told they were out of it. So I ordered the filet $55. It was the worst steak I've had in a long time. Burnt on the outside. Didn't even finish it Oh the potatoes with it are better at kfc if that tells you anything They were old and dried out. Our total bill was $350. Ya know I would expect much better for that

Valentina P.

Yelp
Everything was great! Food was tasty and delivery was fast. Still enjoying honey barbecue wings

Yelp
My husband & I in town & wanted to check out. The service, ambience & food is good. But please make sure to ask what's all the ingredients that's not listed on the menu. I would have given 5 stars if it was not for this.

Sky D.

Yelp
Our group of four ordered pizzas with different toppings, and we loved them all. The taste was just like having pizza in Italy. The staff were friendly, and the service was excellent. It was a bit noisy, but nothing too overwhelming.

Yelp
Service was awesome food- tasty and perfect cook steaks. But, frites and fries are totally different. Been a customer for 20+ years and have experienced all the trends and changes. 4Stars!!!

Yelp
If you are looking for a taste of Louisiana seafood + a pretty incredible dining experience, you will have to make your way to the Beausoleil Coastal Cuisine. I had only dined there once before the change in ownership + executive chef, and that was a long time ago, so this review is based on my most current experiences. If you're reading this and know of the City Pork Restaurant Group eateries under the helm of Stephen Hightower, you'll absolutely identify that same excellent restaurant etiquette, when you visit Beausoleil. During my first experience back at Beausoleil (after the new ownership), I had no idea that Chef David Dickensauge was the chef there! It was definitely to my surprise, but of course to my great delight because Chef David is one of the most decorated chefs to ever grace the restaurant scene! I've experienced cuisine created by him at other local restaurants and some outside of Louisiana. I ordered a bit of food-to-go, ordered a drink, and waited for my food at the bar. On my last (and final because I recently moved from Louisiana) visit, I ordered the Rich Man Poor-Boy and that exceeded all of my expectations! It was a big sandwich, so I split it with my daughter and she absolutely loved it too! There were large and succulent pieces of shrimp, tasty oysters, and bacon. What more would a seafood and bacon-lover need? I got lost in that sandwich and came out of it a very happy lady! I've probably craved that sandwich a dozen times after I had it. I also ordered the Beausoleil burger with a side of lobster mac + cheese. Yup, I took another trip back to heaven with that too! BRAVO! So, when you are thinking about your next dining experience out, visit Beausoleil Coastal Cuisine. There are lovely seating areas inside and outside or if you want, order to-go and the food is just as good! This was my last craft food & drink experience in Louisiana before I moved. Thank you all for making it a memorable one! Stephen - you'll always be one of my favorite restaurant owners and Chef David - your creations have always been some of the I ever had!

Yelp
Driving around, looking for somewhere new to eat and drove by this place. We turned around and went in and we are so thankful we did last night. It literally was some of the best food we've eaten here, in LA. And the service was awesome.

Yelp
Very nice place. Had a great time with my friends. The atmosphere was good and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loved the fact that they serve lobster and waffles! I ordered calamari and the oyster salad with truffle dressing. It was really good and the dressing takes it to another level. I am an oyster lover and I rarely enjoy friend oysters from local places, but these are def the exception. The calamari was very bland, but the sauce made the difference.

Yelp
I was so excited to celebrate my birthday at Beausoleil! The food was delicious. I started out with the Truffle Fried Oysters were are so good and my favorite thing I tried! I then ordered the Mahi Sandwich, which was good, but I didn't expect it to be on a hamburger bun. The fries were crispy and delicious. Then I got a complimentary piece of cake for my birthday which was amazing! In the beginning of the night when I ordered a vodka tonic, there was a fly in the lime that the drink was garnished with; I had to ask more than a few times for the lime to be replaced. I also had the reservation for 7pm, and we didn't leave until past 9:30pm--it took awhile for the staff to take our orders. If you're trying to get a quicker meal, I wouldn't come here. Overall, that wouldn't hinder me from coming back again! I did love the food and our waiter was very kind; it could've been a busy night. Will be back!

Yelp
Service in the bar is great. (Merit) Sushi rolls are good but too large for a mouth full.

Yelp
Went here for lunch to celebrate my birthday and honestly, it was pretty mediocre. The two sushi rolls we ordered were pretty good, as was the shrimp poboy, but the lobster roll, while it looked great, was weak. The lobster tasted like it had been boiled in plain water and had zero flavor. Also, although there weren't many people when we went, it seemed to take forever for our courses to arrive. I really hope it was just an off-day and that they're not regressing.

Yelp
Wow. We came to visit my son for parents weekend and we never know with to go. We lucked out and found this amazing place. We had the Jamaican pork chop, lobster mac n cheese, and the red fish, and volcano roll for an appetizer. It was all amazing. Nice little quiet - not populated withcollege kids place. Little gem away from LSU.

Yelp
Very yummy choices! Must get the Brussels sprouts for a starter - could've eaten 10 plates of them! Great service and a good atmosphere!
