I am very disappointed. This was my first and last order from the Market Mobile program. It started well enough, with notification that one item was unavailable. However, when I got home, I found only 4 of the 14 items I purchased. The package was delivered at 9:40 am, but I arrived home at 5pm. and discovered the issue then. I received an email at 3:37pm informing me that the rest of my items would arrive on Friday. When I called to clarify, I was told that the frozen items are stored in a separate freezer, so no one checks off items against invoices properly.

I don't think the website was updated because the Saturday we visited close to 1:30/2 pm, the website said it closed at 5 but nearly all of the stands were empty or being broken down. So we obviously missed the open hours window. Seems like a great space though!

So many cool artisans and vendors. Go support your local farmers and artists. Parking can be a little tricky. I parked a few blocks down and walked in. It was a nice walk passing by the iron works. Definitely sights to see!

The Saturday farmer’s markets are always a good time! A safe space for community and empowering local farmers, artisans and small businesses.

Dope space attended AntiRobot market. Alot of good shops and food available from local vendors and artisans. Beer, Coffee, food all in one place

Great place to grab some local produce and products. I love grabbing a delicious tray from June Love Bakery table and head over to Harvest coffee to enjoy with a good cup of coffee. You can then stroll through the rest of the modern market space or sit down and do some people watching while listening to music.

An interesting array of vegetables, baked goods, spices, coffees and more. You must wear a mask. It's indoors, but with wide open doors. So no a/c. Decent amount of off street parking.

Great spot for a date! BBQ, Coffee, Brewery, Tacos, Ice Cream, and Flowers. Lots to do!

During November through April, Farm Fresh Providence Farmers Market is on Saturdays at Farm Fresh RI Market Hall, 10 Sims Ave in Providence, RI. from 9am-1pm. Admission is always free to enter Farm Fresh Providence Farmers Market and no tickets are necessary. The market is spacious and wonderful to walk around. Ever since moving to RI, I have been to Farm Fresh Providence Farmers Market multiple times. The prices are a bit more than a local supermarket, but I still enjoy checking out the local farms produce and items. There is something for everyone-honey, kimchi, and so much more. The most recent time I went, there were even alpacas that you can pet. At Farm Fresh RI Market Hall, there are also some other local businesses that you can check out. Some are Anchor Toffee, New Harvest Coffee Roasters, Providence Brewing Company, Rhed's Hot Sauce, Tallulah's Taqueria, and Wright's Creamery. Also, there are usually food trucks outside. If you are looking for a Saturday morning activity, this is a good one.

This place is great. A little bit of everything you would need. They have very fresh vegetables, sweets, fresh bread, as well as meat and already cooked meals. May I suggest the cinnamon baklava bread. So good I had to buy two loaves. Definitely come and check it out

Thank you so much for trick or treating on 10/28/2023. My 18 month old had an amazing time, there were plenty of non candy items handed out and everyone was so kind. Bonus, coffee and bfast sandwiches from Rocket for mom and dad!!!! This is a beautiful building and they host some of the best low key events in the state. I really enjoyed the Halloween witchy markets last year and the trick or treat this year. Clean place, clean bathrooms. Wrights farm and New Harvest, can't go wrong!

Ho-lee Mo-lee! I had no idea this place was so big! After spending a year only in my 'pod' with the occasional hiking expedition and grocery store, entering this gigantic building full of people and vendors I was definitely overwhelmed and had to collect myself. Even after checking out the website and downloading the vendor layout, I was not prepared for the magnitude of this space. But enough about me. First off, parking: there is a good size parking lot next to the building and it looks like another adjacent that is used by patrons. There is a bit of additional on-street parking on the opposite side of the building. The number of patrons allowed inside at one time is limited and we had a short wait outside by the door. Staff use an app where a person at the exit notes how many have left, so the one at the entrance knows how many to let in. There is no covering outside, so do bring an umbrella if the weather is inclement, however on our day, it was sunny and we were serenaded by a young violin player as we waited. Once inside, there is plenty of hand sanitizer throughout the building as well as signs reminding you to keep a safe distance and the vendors tables are spaced so there are no large gatherings. Everyone was masked up and many customers were waiting 'back' from the tables to allow those being served to move away before moving forward for their turn. During our visit there were a few 'farms' offering produce, a couple of kombucha vendors, baked goods, alpaca goods, natural beauty items, a knife sharpener (I'm sure there is a word craft, no?), hot sauce, lots of farm raised meats and fresh seafood. I 'took a turn' through the building to wrap my brain around what was available and then made another round to make my purchases. Once I bought my first item, I was on a roll. Picked up some alpaca socks for a family member who has tried 'everything' to keep their feet warm and find these are the only type that work *and* feel comfortable so win-win. Natural bug repellent for those hikes in the woods, a really dense loaf of bread that is so amazing, sea scallops that were cleaned, dried and packaged appropriately, then packed w/ice in my take home bag. I grabbed a bag of spinach from a Coventry farm; when I walked by first time he had a load of salad greens, by the time I made it back to his stall here were about a dozen left so note to self, don't wait next trip! Most vendors were very friendly with only a couple of exceptions. We stopped by a few tables to ask questions about their products and collected a couple of business cards to check out websites. Some offer 'mail order' and others will list what they will have available at the next market. It's too bad we couldn't try samples of a couple of items. When you are not sure if you will enjoy a particular item, it's hard to convince yourself to buy it. Also to note: the farm raised meats and eggs are much more expensive than you'll find in a grocery store. This makes sense as they are raised in a more humane manner, closer to nature. They will taste better and be healthier as a result. It was a lovely surprised to see goat as an option besides beef and pork products. Produce is seasonal and fresh, the seafood source was included on the price list, I acquired a business card from a mushroom vendor to find out what will be on offer next market (fresh porcini! Mmmm), and made note of other vendors to try. I especially like that I can have a dull knife sharpened here while I shop. Very convenient. There were two food trucks outside, which smelled amazing, and an outdoor area that had a few places to sit and I imagine will offer more once we no longer need to keep a social distance. One other thing, there is a river across the street which is part of the Woonasquatucket River Greenway. It's an in-city pathway comprised of sidewalks and designated pathways that follows the river more or less as buildings allow, through the city. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to walk this path, but we did follow it a short distance and it does provide a nice bit of green/nature in a dense city area with some seating areas that are very nicely designed. Very happy I made it out the market and now that I know the layout I will be prepared for my next excursion! Definitely check out the website for vendor information and more before your first visit.

You can easily spend 1hr here. Every vendor is so unique and so creative. I was surprised to see that they had food and desserts as well as a sitting area which was well maintained. Vendors are pretty expensive but is nice to know you're supporting local businesses and parking was hectic. Come early to avoid driving around the parking lot waiting for someone to leave.

I was truly impressed with the entire layout. Plenty of parking and a wide open spacious venue. Pretty much something for everyone here with an extensive menu offering. Put this lace on your Saturday bucket

Nice indoor winter market with good parking lot (gets filled quickly at peak hours). The space is ample and the vendors are laid out very well so there's plenty of social distance. You can get produce, artisan baked goods, fresh seafood, meat, coffee, crafts, etc. I found the prices a bit steep but that's just me, a thrifty savy shoper...lol.... If I compare this to other markets around the world, like in Europe or Asia, I find the product/price proposition a bit on the high side. There are 2-3 large room sections to wonder around, so don't miss all of them, as they all have a large variety of things to offer.

Best winter farmers market. All the usual winter storage veggies from lots of great local farms. Many great bakeries and other artisan food vendors. Plus, best of all, Rocket Fine Street Food is always here.

This new location is fantastic! It's so clean, organized, and open. It's great to have a nice place to go to support local business, even when the weather is nice and a pandemic is whirling around. Coffee, veggies, fruits, baked goods, dog collars, etc. definitely worth a visit!

This place is amazing and it is one of the best and largest regional farmers markets I've been too. So if you wish to visit, plan to spend several hours in order to cover the majority of vendors in attendance. You will find fresh produce, baked goods, canned goods, seafood, crafts, clothing, food stalls, books, camping gear, art works, jewelry and more. I feel the quality of food and merchandise is very high and there are always discoveries of interest to be made on each visit.

Nice wintertime home for this farmers market which is a favorite of mine. We listened to bluegrass music while enjoying Brie honey crepes and delicious coffee, and then we leisurely strolled among the many booths and galleries in the place. Parking can be challenging, but if you don't mind walking a couple of blocks you can find street parking. You can get local produce, fruits and marmalades,cheeses,seafood and meat, and local crafts, jewelry, and art--great to find that special holiday gift, and support the local economy.

Oh, man, what a gem! Spacious, well ventilated and monitored for safe capacity. Genuinely a pleasant place to be now with a cornucopia of amazing vendors. Great place to holiday shop and the grab a bit from the food trucks outside. So excited this exists.

Clean! Buy local! Fresh vegetables, fruits, oysters, meats, cheeses (goat and cow), cookies, cupcakes, breads. I tried and immediately bought Chipotle Salsa from Poblano Farms. The woman at the table was patient and friendly as I interrogated her about the company and how the salsa is made :) There was a french tart/cookie vendor in one of the rooms off of the main hall. WOW! All I could smell was a delicious scent of butter and sugar. I bought a dozen of the butter cookies, which came in many different flavors, my favorite was the toasted coconut. And the hooked me at the register with a croissant. :) I would come back just for this vendor. Narragansett Creamery table - knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their product. It was a popular table. I will be bringing my cooler the next time so that I can buy some of the different varieties of the cream cheese. Farmstead - They had their famous biscuits for sale and their cheese of course! BUT - they had breakfast sandwiches for sale that were made with the biscuits! I wish I hadn't eaten so much at Wayland Square Diner earlier. :) The Alpaca table had amazing items too, I will have to visit before winter hits to buy a hat. So much to see and so little time. I look forward to returning soon. If you go late in the morning, you may also be surprised by the food trucks outside !! Great experience all around. I AM A FAN!

Since moving to RI 14 months ago, I have to say that one of my favorite places to be is at the farmers market. In the wintertime, you can find all the various vendors at the Hope Artiste Village. I just realized that the market is so big that they are open at building 950 and 1005. I love it! I recommend getting there early so you can take your time strolling through and checking out all the vendors. They also have an area in between that sells food (jamaican patties, crepes, etc) and has local musicians playing. If you can find a seat then sit back, enjoy your treat and listen to the music. I personally like to sit on the floor in the hallway watching people shop and having my treats. I recommend Patois, a vendor that sells various patties (jerk chicken, curry chicken, saltfish & ackee, etc). I love purchasing natural soaps here and my favorite vendor is The Curve & Line Co. She is there every other week. Her soaps smell so delicious. You come out the shower and your bathroom has the fragrance of the soap filling the air. It's great. Also, for all the Seven Star Bakery fans, they have an area at the farmers market as well. They also have good trucks in front of the building. The prices of the fruits and veggies are beyond reasonable and they're localIy grown. Meats, honey, cheeses you can find anything here and they are fresher than the products at the grocery store. I suggest everyone check out farmers market, it's a great way to spend a Saturday morning without much chaos.

Love this Market. Huge variety of vendors with a wide selection. Multiple fruit and vegetable vendors, local rotating food vendors (waffles, donuts, crepes) and purveyors of fine meats. It is a great combination of artists and food vendors all in one place. Great food and great people.

Love this market! HUGE, spacious, and full of eager and hungry patrons. You can tell the vendors put a lot of work into what they do and that's just one of the things that I love about Rhode Island. Much like Rhode Island, this market packs a punch that is fun, diverse, and full of yummy treats. My favorite stop is the soaps but don't lie--you come for the food as well (at least I do, hehe). Every corner of this market is filled with delicious smells. Fresh-baked croissants, meat hand-pies, and produce galore! There are plenty of vendors to grab a coffee from as you stroll along one, two, or three times (yay, samples). Nobody will judge! Enjoy the day and bring a reusable bag for your finds. Bonus: there are food trucks outside. So just when you're about to leave with a full belly, you'll be tempted once again. I can't believe it took me so long to find this place but I am glad that I did. I love Hope Street Farmers Market in the summer and this is a great way to spend the chilly winter months. Way to go, RI! You've stolen my heart yet again.

I stopped here with my boyfriend while in the area after reading how they had great produce and meat. The parking lot was large and we were able to find a spot easily. They were keeping track of the number of folks in the building but the line moved pretty quickly. There were a lot of vendors there and a lot of great food options. The produce in particular was great. I'd recommend a stop in!

Thank you for existing! The end of October in RI means not just looking down that long tunnel of bleak, dark and cold, but the harsh cutoff to accessing an outdoor farmer's market, somewhere, any day of the week. The Wintertime Farmers Market saves the (Satur- and Wednes-)day for the next 7 months as a one-stop-shop for fresh produce and local products, face-to-face with the fine folks behind the food. I just can't quite reach for the 5 stars because some days the crowds/wall of body heat just freak me out and all I can think about is getting the hell out of there as soon as I step in. The crowds come in waves that aren't entirely predictable, but you've definitely got the early, productive folks on a mission (well aren't you special), the late morning leisurely crew, and the younger or hungover or last-minute scrambling slackers which is usually my camp. My approach is to do a lap to assess the day's lay-o-the-land without buying a thing, except maybe a New Harvest coffee, then backtrack with the newly gathered information to fill those shopping bags and deplete the wad of cash. Fave treats: A couple of hot dogs from Hewtin's Dogs Mobile outside, Bombster scallops, Pat's Pasturized where the beasts roam free, Narragansett Creamery cheese/yogurt/ricotta, Aquidneck Honey, Olga's bread, Nettie's Kettle Corn, Yacht Club soda, whatever produce is lookin' gorgeous.

This is such a great place. It just makes you feel awesome supporting local farmers and vendors. Cool way to start your Saturday! Coffee, breakfast foods, fruits, veggies and even live music at every turn! The vibe is friendly and warm. The layout is so cool. They also accept credit/debit and SNAP (food stamps). I thought it was really awesome that they give food stamp users $2 bonus for every $5 you spend at the market. A great initiative for lower income families to be able to afford locally grown, fresh produce! Awesome program idea! All the great local bakeries and coffee shops have a set-up. Go check it out. I think its till mid-May then it moves outside on Hope St.

LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE WINTER MARKET. My favorite way to start a Saturday is a workout and then heading to the farmer's market to see what bounty is in store for meals that week (esp now that my CSA had ended). You can find fresh eggs, cheese, bread, milk, veggies, fruit (mainly apples in winter), artisan food products, potted plants and herbs, dog treats, jams/jellies, salsa, meats of all kinds, local honey, seafood and coffee. The BEST part about it all is that you can talk to the people who grow, raise, and care for the food that you will eat. I love being able to talk to the same people everytime that I go. I like being able to buy from local folks doing good for our local environment and economy. Thank you Farm Fresh. Thank you food providers.

We helped pack vegetable boxes last night and it was very inspiring. The team working there was excellent. They explained how the food box program works, where the food comes from and to where it goes. The packing process is very well organized. There are so many parts. I was very impressed. Job well done everyone. You are good people.

Ordered online and got someone else's order left in our cooler. Called their listed number and it's not listed. A terrible model for business, especially during a pandemic. Meanwhile I have someone else's food with no way to contact them for pickup.

It's everything you could wish for. Some tips: we had a hard time finding the creperie. Turns out that the hot foods are all in a separate room off of one of the entrances. Also, there are bathrooms and water fountains! Other than that, just imagine the best possible wintertime farmers market. That's what this is.

Absolutely love this place! Tons of fresh & local products conveniently located indoors. You can buy a variety of items with tons of vegan/gluten free options: - produce (apples, root vegetables, kale, etc) - seafood (fish, oysters, dips) - cheese - Bakery items (breads, treats, quiche) - preserves, spreads, marinades - honey Many of the tables offer samples, which is awesome! Most vendors I bought from allowed credit/debit, but some are cash only. If you forget the moola, you can purchase tokens at the entrance with your card (I think they charge a $1.00 fee to do that). The specially shops that are usually there are open as well & offer many aesthetically pleasing things to peruse. And it you're looking for something more substantial to eat, there are a few vendors inside that offer meals & several food trucks outside. Tip: Bring your own bag...preferably one with a cooler. You're going to want to take home with something needing refrigeration at some point & you will be thankful to have it with you!

I just happened to be in the building on the first Saturday of the 2016/2017 Winter season. This place is bustling with energy. From musicians to fresh seafood, this place has it all. The market extends down the hallways of two corridors. Vendors are set up along the walls and let me tell you, this place has everything... Culinary herbs, fresh meats, seafood, farm fresh veggies, eggs, cheese, artisanal breads, pastries and crafts. Not only is the market open but many of the local shops, stores and art studios are open as well. While wandering the halls musicians play, singing, strumming and having a jolly old time. Local crafters call you into their shops as you pass by to show you what they have been up to and creating. There is food everywhere you turn... Crepes, meat pies and freshly baked pastries as well as a couple food trucks out front. Forgot cash? No worries... They have people set up around the market, who are able to turn your charge into coins you are able to use at the different vendors. This is a great way to spend your Saturday morning, with a coffee in one hand and a bag full of goodies in the other!

We love the Veggie Box program, $25 weekly to pick up a box of produce, changes from week to week depending on what's in season. They make a nice newsletter with links to excellent recipes for the produce you get.

Such a great and convenient farmer's market! You'll find me here most weekends. The whole thing is indoors, so rain, snow, sun, or blistering cold won't stop you from having a cozy walk from stand to stand. The selection here is also amazing, here's a few highlights: - Bakeries providing tasty breakfasts and/or bread (7stars, North et. al.) -TONS of farm stands with local produce (whatever's in season - A mushroom cultivator - Knife sharpening services - Locally raised meats -Fishmongers -Cheesemongers! ... And much much more! To top it all off, food trucks can be found outside if you're looking for some food to have while you browse. Parking can be a bit tricky at peak times (say, after 10am), but it's a cinch if you go early. Most of the places use Square for payment, but occasionally you'll find a cash-only place. Fear not though, since tokens can be purchased via debit card up front (there's a 1$ surcharge though).

You might be saying to yourself "Five stars!? How can a farmer's market really be all that great?" Well it just is. The ambiance is wonderful. There are fresh, local seafood, veggies, herbs, meats, eggs, bread AND its all winter long. Did I mention there are also crafts? Did I remind you about the live music? Well I know what you are thinking. I also hate hippies and this place is full of them. Hipsters too. Oh and the yuppies. Seriously though, hold your nose and dive in. If you like cooking this is the place to get your victuals. I say this without reservation. I really hate Rhode Island. Its a state that seems to hate its residents. That being said, as much as I want that hate to be absolute I can't stop loving it. I will watch a street plow pile a 6 foot high pile of snow right on a sidewalk. Hate. Then I will go to the Wintertime Farmers Market, grab lunch from the Chez Pascal food truck (ohmygoditssogood) and I can't be mad anymore. Rhode Island does have a really wonderful set of small, local farms and its one of the state's best features.

I truly enjoy coming every week to the Wintertime Farmer's market. Apples, root veggies, and spinach/kale are abound, along with great herbal ointments and other goods. I have been spending some of my Saturday morning here for the last couple of weeks to stock up on veggies for my juicer, and I haven't found a bad 'apple' yet (haha I crack myself up.) As other yelpers have suggested, it can be a little intimidating when I'm not interested in a product after eying it. I prefer to buy my veggies by the pound, so I do tend to scoot around until I find what I want. It is best to go in with a game plan, and at the front they do provide a list and map of what venues are where. The eggs are also very overpriced, but then again, I am spoiled by a friend with their own chickens. I can however find all of my juicing supplies I need for under 20$, and I know the products are fresh and grown locally, which makes me glad. If you're looking for a bite to eat of warm food, there are plenty of places that are offering soups and quesedillias, just expect to pay a pretty penny. Best tip I can give: Bring cash. They do offer at the front tokens that you can buy with a credit card to exchange with those vendors who do not take cards, but there is a $1 surcharge, which is annoying. I just end up bringing 30-40$ and see what happens. Parking can also be a jerk--there is a lot across the street but often people park so that you can't swing your car around. Several times I have been stuck in until someone's moved! It's better to park on the street. All in all, this is a great market that I plan on continuing to go to while I'm in the Providence area! Worth your time!

This place is amazing!!! I went this past weekend when it was frigid outside and as visions of butternut squash soup and winter squash gratins danced in my head.... I entered the unassuming Hope Artiste Village, a BEAUTIFUL converted mill building, and was immediately slapped warm and silly by the smells of breakfast being made in the Bread Lab, whose decor just keeps getting better and better every time I see it. They have live music on Saturday mornings to coincide with the winter market, which is ideal if you're coming with a large gaggle of kids. Divide and conquer, friends. Have one kind soul sit with the babies in Bread Lab as you take your sweet time traversing the many and varied stands of this wintertime treasure. In the foyer, you can swipe your debit or credit card for $5 tokens to use at any stand. A life-saver for chronically cash-less souls like me. I loaded up $15 (note: there is a $1 processing fee, but a small sacrifice for the opportunity to buy things even though I'd forgotten cash...) and began the trek. The market is split into two large hallways of the complex, and some stores (New Harvest coffee, a bakery, spice store, etc.) keep their doors open during the market, a welcoming signal of community desire to keep the momentum from the week going! Farmers from all over RI and Massachusetts come here with beautiful boxes of elephant radishes, kale, giant cabbage heads, cranberries and cranberries and cranberries (you'll think of those Ocean Spray commercials!! trust me!!) Everything is fresh, a little expensive--but considering the convenience and warmth of the affair....so worth it. Seven Stars bakery has strategically set up shop right near the entrance, so you can grab your lemon cake and coffee and browse for hours. Some of the brands can be found at co-ops or in their local storefronts (Narrangansett Creamery, Brown Bear nuts, Granola project, etc.) but it's SO wonderful seeing all the local exchange going on... here's hoping this market remains a vibrant fixture in this community for many years!

The winter farmers market at the Hope Artiste Village is perfect if you are looking to pick up some fresh local food and goods or if you are just looking for something fun to do on a Saturday morning. There is a very good selection of vendors in a large space that can certainly accommodate a lot of shoppers and visitors. As others have mentioned, the selection here great. Everything from fresh produce, bakery items, cheeses, seafood, meats, etc. Certain tables will let you sample things and the prices charged by the different vendors seem to be very reasonable considering how fresh everything is. The other nice thing is that there are usually two food trucks parked outside, so you have the option to grab a bite to eat outside the market as well. I feel like the earlier you get to the market the better. The selection seems to be more plentiful and if you wait closer to closing some places might have run out or are starting to pack up for the day. Also, be aware that parking can be tricky when it's busy but usually you can find something on one of the side streets. Overall, this is a perfect weekly farmers market where you can shop and support local and go home with a variety of different goodies.

It took me awhile to finally check this out, but I've now been back every weekend. Not only are all the farmers and other vendors welcoming, with small samples and knowledgeable information, but the atmosphere makes it even better. Even though I'm not a fan of root vegetables (a staple winter crop), there are still plenty of yummy food (bakery bread, jam, grapefruits, pies, etc) to purchase and the small food court and food trucks make it a great place to browse, enjoy the wonderful architecture, and have a nice lunch. I also love the live music in the hallway and the food court. Last time I was in Hope Artiste Village was over a year ago, and while there were some studios calling it home, I am so happy to see how the place has grown. From a violin shop, basket maker, and photography studio to kids yoga, music, and art galleries. The Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market is a great way to support all things Rhode Island local.

Fantastic farmers market that is almost as exciting as the Summer one at Lippitt Park (I only prefer it because I prefer to be outdoors). I love the fact that you can get all of your favorite fruits and veggies at a great location (at the Hope Artiste Village, where the Met is). It is right down the street from my place so it is a quick drive for me. I love the apple cider from the Hill Orchards, but my husband loves it even more and craves another 1/2 gallon on a weekly basis. I usually pick up my weekly allotment of apples, peppers, spinach, and farm fresh eggs and always go home with a big smile on my face. I look forward to getting a sausage from the Chez Pascal food truck one of these days. The last time I went they were having a cooking demonstration by the students of Johnson and Wales and they were serving up scrumptious samples of artisan breads and hummus. There were also tables where you could sit and enjoy a snack while listening to the acoustic sets of local singer/songwriters. Go to the market with a pocketful of cash and a knowledge that you are supporting a great cause for some excellent food.

So social, so wonderful, so winter! RI will mature in supporting a full-fledged sovereign food state at some point but until then, here we are-- a great start! FarmFresh and friends do their best to make this market enjoyable and fun. Love that you can pick up a great book here as well- good food and good books. What else do you need in the winter? Chatted with the 'farmer' selling salsa and he told me he bought his tomatoes from CA and chilies from Mexico. Huh? It would be really wonderful if the winter market and the other one on the East Side would combine at the Blackstone park -- kids could play, hot dogs from Chez Pascal (yum), sun would shine and ice cream at Three Sisters. That would be my ideal day! Regardless, this is a great scene. Not much to sustain you for the week but it is fun to support the idea, indeed. p.s. Why is Rhody Fresh not present? Weird.

Best Radishes in town! Seriously this farmers market has grown so much over the past few years that I believe it will not be too long before this just turns into a Wholefoods Annex. The selection of veggies, meat and fish is amazing and all the stall workers not only know their stuff but really have a passion for food. I have on a number of occasions asked so how would you cook this? And though I may have only been holding a carrot, I still get a friendly response :0) So get our inner hipster on, grab some plaid and remember to not shave (ladies included) and you will fit right in and get some great, fresh, local food.

Fantastic is my word to describe this market. I come here once a month with a hundred bucks, ready to get my foodie on and my belly full of samples. It's hard to pick favorites because vendors switch out often, but I love: Honey combs from Aquidneck Honey, Pasta sauce from Poblano Farm (LOVE), She Sells Seaweed, Atwells Gold Cheese (and their garlic & chese dips) from Naragansett Creamery, Jams from Grammy Schartner's and pretty much anything from Wicked Natural. Yes, it can get expensive if you're not used to paying $8 for pasta sauce or $13/lb for meat, but there's plenty of cheap veggies, herbs and dips here and you're not going to get stuff this delicious an fresh at your local Stop & Shop (or Whole Foods for that matter.) Save a few bucks, because when you're done, you're gonna want to grab a hotdog or sandwich from the Chez Pascal red & white food truck. And you won't regret it. Note: If you get anxious around crowds, make sure to pop your Xanax before walking in because it's only open for a few hours and gets A LOT of foot traffic.

I have always wanted to check out a local farmers market like i see on all the travel cooking shows so I was happy to hear we had one in RI. A very large selection of local farmers with fresh produce. I was expecting the meat to be fresh on ice and not frozen and a larger selection but I guess beggars shouldn't be choosy:) Parking is a little tricky.

Make sure u get the apples as they are stored in a low oxygen building (which prevents ripening)! Tastes like freshpicked applles!

The thing that interests me most about the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market is its sheer vibrancy. Hope Artiste Village is a quaint, and generally mild location with a lot of character, and when the Winter Farmers Market is on it is just brimming with life and energy. There are bakeries, coffee, fresh produce, seafood, pies, honey, the list goes on and on, just like this sentence! Really what the Winter Farmers Market comes down to is better people, and better products. I love the convenience of online shopping, but you won't get these kinds of good vibes from Amazon.

HUGE market, two full hallways. So this is in an old converted mill building. There are many businesses in it and they have wide hallways where they have all the vendors setup, so it feels kinda like a maze, but it is good. They have everything you could think of, pickles, cranberries, produce out the wazo, cheese, grassfed meat, honey, fish, coffee, crafts, pasteries, bread, etc. Go meet some local farmers!

Agreed, the fact that there are farmers to be found anywhere in the dead of winter, many with crops they have grown themselves in some ingenious way is reason enough to make the trip to check this place out. But at the start of the long brick industrial vendor-lined corridor I was struck by a sign for eggs at $6 a dozen. No doubt better for me because the chickens are organic and free-range, but at 4 times the price I pay for medium commercial eggs, I was immediately wary of what else I would see. In the positive, most stands offered samples, so the wander along the considerable array of farms, dairies, bakeries and cooks selling their wares was a pleasant experience of flavors and conversations about ingredients and methods. There as a highly credible roots string band playing off in a side room with more wonderful foods for sale. There were some worthwhile groups promoting their causes, and everywhere there were lots of people, many with bags full of produce and breads. But all-in-all, at the prices that all items were offered, our choices all became highly discretionary. I did buy some bluefish spread and a cheese spread at two different stands, but those were some of the few items we saw we could not find elsewhere at considerably lower prices. One of our party had walked through before us, and she noticed that one produce farmer's bags of greens had sold out already. I noticed the posted price was half what others were charging. The market had spoken.

This is the best Farmer's Market I have ever been to and it's during the winter! This market is really a great refuge from what can be a boring and bleak winter. TONS of vendors peddling their wares, you can get just about anything in season/from stores-great cheeses, teas/herbals, a boat load of apples, veggies especially root of course, plants, pet goods, seafood (oysters, yay!), soda, coffee, and the list goes on. There is also a great community atmosphere, many families with young children, and people of all ages. There is often live music coming from fiddlers or guitarists that add to the lively scene. #1 TIP- Get here EARLY!!! The market gets extremely busy and crowds & parking can get a little intense. The earlier your arrival the better.

When I lived in Baltimore, we loved going to the farmer's market on Saturday mornings. This is a close second, and may beat it just because it is indoors. So much fun! This was a great way to spent a Saturday morning. I loved wandering from table to table and then through the shops off the main corridor. Lots of great LOCAL vendors selling great stuff! Walking through here will inspire you to new things. (I was inspired to make Brussel sprouts for the first time.) Vendors include multiple farms and meat vendors, Ellie's, Seven Stars Bakery, Narragansett Creamery, Rhody Fresh, and so much more! Bring some cash, and shop for your produce and meats here!

Okay - I used to live in Santa Barbara, CA which has one of the best outdoor year-round farmer's markets in the country, so I am hard to impress. It was hard to imagine that ANY sort of New England indoor winter farmer's market would impress me. Color me surprised - this market is really pretty great! You can get all the basic winter veggies - i.e. lots of root veggies and greens, lots of apples, some citrus stuff - but what really rounds out the selection is all other other non-seasonal stuff, such as fresh bread, eggs, cheeses, honey, plants, coffee, and meat. It ends up being a really good selection! There's also a knife-sharpening station, which I thought was kind of brilliant. And it's a good place to get breakfast - you can get coffee and crepes, plus all sorts of baked goods The pesto is fricking amazing. If you're standing in front of the musicians playing fiddle music, the pesto table will be just behind you on the left. I went through a tub of it by myself in 6 days and ran back for more. I'm one step away from just eating it out of the tub with a spoon. Little bit crowded in the hallways sometimes, but overall it's a good ambience. Lots of families with kids. Love the music. If you forget to bring cash, they have this little station up front where you can use your credit/debit card to buy tokens in denominations of $5. There's a $1 fee. I bought $20 worth of tokens, and believe me, I had NO trouble using those up. (The merchants give you change in cash when you pay with the tokens.) It's better if you just remember cash, though. Holding back from giving 5 stars, just because I anticipate that the summer market with probably be even better, and I'd love if their hours were a little bit longer. But I definitely recommend this market!

Try to go early, as it gets very busy very quickly! Can be hard to find parking, and walk around once inside, when there are too many people. Pretty decent selection of veggies, meat, and bread. I like supporting local shops, especially the African Alliance Community Garden and Harvest Kitchen.

Amazing variety of vendors and food. This place definitely gets crowded and you very well may feel like kicking someone at some point just to get them out of the way as they obliviously stand in the middle of the room. But try not to. just sayin. I ate my way through this market today but the tummy ache is totally worth it and I will be back soon

It is so nice to have an indoor farmers market nearby! It's actually a nice 15 minute walk for us-pretty much, we're spoiled! It's a little crowded between 11 and noon, but that's to be expected. Sometimes, I get a little uncomfortable around the vendors when I find myself disinterested in their products. After a few visits here, we decided that it's best to come with a game plan, or a weekly meal plan. At first, we would just show up and buy a bunch of "stuff" that looked good, but there would be no rhyme or reason to any of it, and some things would be wasted. I'm just telling you people so it doesn't happen to you! Several vendors, good variety of vendors, average prices, great building--worth a visit!
