All Chay

This place is INCREDIBLE! I love when I can eat everything on the menu without worry. We got SO much food for $38 for 2 people that we're leaving with a full belly and tons of leftovers for a second meal! And the staff is so nice and supportive in figuring out what to eat. The All Chay Egg Rolls are a must!

Good flavor on the dishes but unfortunately only about 2-3 oz of meat the 2 items we ordered. A good way to cut cost but not keep happy customers. La Naan Thai across the square is a much better value and normal meat servings.

It is unbelievable to think that this entire place is completely vegan. It truly blew our minds, and the food was so good that we wanted to keep coming back again and again. This was the first place we had dinner when we arrived in Salt Lake City, and it was also the last place we visited before leaving, which shows how much we loved it. We tried the pho, which was full of flavor and absolutely delicious, along with the vegan shrimp and fried tofu, both of which were wonderful. If I lived in town, I would definitely return often, and with such reasonable prices, this spot is a must-visit.

I have yet to taste better Vietnamese food than here. And it's 100% vegan! We got the lemongrass noodle salad, the all chay "eggroll", and the spring rolls. All were delicious. Nothing was subpar. Great service too. Very kind.

A cozy place off the main road where the food is great, and the meats are fake but you probably wouldn't notice if you weren't paying attention. It took a few visits before I realized everything was vegan, and that speaks volumes. Every item I have tried this far, from the soups to the sandwiches have been a tasty treat. The staff is friendly and the service is reasonably fast. A cozy and spacious dining room that was kept very clean awaits. Did I mention that everything has a very reasonable price? You can't go wrong by giving All Chay a try.

They have the best pho in Salt Lake City. I highly recommend eating at their restaurant. The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious!

It’s hard to explain how disappointing this meal was for me. I’ll start with the good. The spring rolls were great, because they were freshly made. Everything else had been cooked, possibly hours of not the day before. The fried veggie rolls were cold. Not warm. Cold. Most likely bought from Costco. ….but Costco doesn’t sell anything that bad. Noodle bowl noodles were BLASTED. They must have been in water for 2 hours. Skip this place.

I got the curry fried rice and the autumn rolls. Very good. I appreciated the excellent customer service, the clean and well appointed dining room, and the gluten-free options.

This is a great mom and pop shop that serves delicious vegan food. Their menu is very limited, but everything that I've tried here so far has been really favorable. My favorites that I've tried there so far are: veggie egg rolls, pho, Mongolian noodle salad, and teriyaki noodle salad. When you walk into the restaurant, you make a right and order your food and pay. Once you finish ordering, they'll give you a number and you can sit wherever you'd like. While you wait for your food to come out, in the middle of the room are condiments, silverware and water. It's all serve yourself. Once the food comes out, you eat, and then buss your own food back to the middle of the room. Right when you're about to leave the restaurant, head back to the front desk area and put your tip in the tip jar. Since I work nearby, I'll be coming here often for lunch!

This was the first place we tried in Salt Lake City after we landed. To be honest, I didn't read the description of this place carefully and didn't realize it was a vegan place haha! Full disclaimer--I am not a vegan at all. Anyway, we decided to try it anyway since it looked good and had pretty decent reviews. I was pleasantly surprised! The food was great--loved the broth of the pho. The nuggets were also a pleasant surprise. The young lady who took our order was friendly and pleasant.

We came here for lunch on a weekday around noon and we basically had the entire place to ourselves. It's located on the north side of Salt Lake City, in the Rose Park-ish area. You order up at the counter and EVERYTHING is vegan! Although I'm not vegan, I'm vegetarian, I still appreciate spaces where I'm able to choose from allllll of the menu options. It's almost overwhelming! They have bahn mi, noodle bowls, rice bowls and delicious appetizers. I got the lemongrass fried rice and the portion was HUGE! I took a bunch home as leftovers. You order at the counter and seat yourself. Staff was friendly and food came out quickly!

Great Vietnamese place with large portions. It was fairly quiet which was good for discussion. Great for a family lunch / brunch. They also had a feeder for wild turkeys ! Quirky but cool to see wild turkeys in an urban environment.

Stopped by this vegan Vietnamese restaurant and thought the food was great, dinning room is outdated but the good food makes up for it. Service was good so if you are in the mood for vegan food, stop by here

As a meat eater and beef pho lover, I was very skeptical of this place. Especially since some of the pictures of the broth on here looked weird to me, but let me tell you, that was THE BEST pho broth I've ever had. I don't know how or what they do but man!! So amazing! I also tried the ramen noodle special and lemon grass fried rice and they were also 11/10. The server was really nice and I love that they had booths. Overall I'm highly recommending this place to everyone!

This is such a gem in my own neighborhood! Fully vegan menu that's so delicious and flavorful. There's choices of salads, rice dishes, noodle dishes, and bahn mi. The place is quaint with lots of seating available. The service was very quick and friendly, with a ton of knowledge of the menu and recommendations. I highly recommend this place!

Nestled in a small strip mall is All Chay. As you walk in a sign directs you to the counter to place your order. A tap of the bell calls forth a staff member who is polite and helpful. The decor is Vietnamese, as one would expect. I personally liked the number of real plants they have adoring the walls. I ordered a green tea pot and a Pho. The broth is light with a hint of lemongrass. Soothing on the tongue. The thinly sliced beef is tender, but sparse. Would be nice if tripe, tendon or meatballs were featured. The tofu cubes are spongey with textured corners. Again limited in quantity. The noodles are a comfortable passenger but are unfortunately the main attraction since the proteins are far and few between. Overall, the Pho is decent, not bad but not great. On a cold day it'll hit the spot. Having had high quality pho in California and Chicago it's tough to give this place anything above 3/5 stars. Staff are wonderful and tea was good.

I was wanting some pho on a dreary day and this place popped up! When I arrived I didn't realize it was a pure vegan restaurant! As a meat eater, I was so skeptical I went to my car. But being a Sunday not much was open, so I put my "I'm cultured" pants on and it was the best meal and pho I've had in a while! Whether you're vegan or not, this is a place you should definitely try!

Food was fantastic! First time here and this is a hidden gem-- the kind of gem you only hear about but sometimes never get to try or visit. Staff was super polite- place was very welcoming and quite clean and calm. I'd eat here everyday and just might now. 5 stars

My husband and I almost didn't come here and we are so glad we did! This was one of our top 2 fav vegan places we visited while in SLC. We got the spring rolls, PHNOM PENH NOODLE SOUP, and lemon grass tofu banh mi with a side order of broth. It was all amazing - the broth was incredible. Not to mention the prices are great! Will definitely come back if we are ever in SLC and would love to have this as an option in the DC area!!

Super friendly staff with awesome Vietnamese menu. I got the golden soup with crispy chicken nuggets and absolutely loved it! Quiet and chill dining area with lots of natural light and some comforting classical music playing. if I lived in Utah I would be here all the time for sure.

Not realizing it was a vegan joint until after I ordered, I was seriously impressed with the quality of food, especially meat substitute in all of the dishes. The service was fast, the restaurant was bright and clean, and is a staple in the community. The food was a great price and is a great option for plant based friends!

The location is in a neighborhood, it's a quaint and quiet corner. The place wasn't crowded so parking was easy. Service was good and quick, you order at the counter and the food came out relatively quickly. And the person at the counter was very friendly. We tried the pho and it wasn't anything memorable. I wouldn't recommend going for the pho. I feel like maybe one of the rice with vegetable dishes might be better suited as I look at other reviews and what the other table got. Just a note to everyone, this is a vegan restaurant!

Great vegan spot. Good mix of both fresh health plant-based food and what we call "slutty vegan" (plant-based food that tries to be meat, perhaps a little less healthy). A big and diverse menu that you could explore for many visits before repeating yourself.

This is a neighborhood favorite for me. I love that the options are vegan since I am transitioning into the vegan lifestyle. Their food isn't free great. My favorite is their chikn bahn mi and tofu spring rolls. Highly recommend them to any vegan or non vegan.

Been coming back here quite a bit. It's almost an every other week adventure. Recently tried the Mongolian noodle salad. Love, love the slightly spicy Mongolian chickun. The all chay egg roll is consistently awesome, way better than the regular egg roll. I'm not vegetarian/vegan and I come here quite often now.

So delicious!!!! I've been here 4 times and it's been amazing every single time! Whether the peaceful atmosphere or the amazing friendly customer service from the sweetest employees, my experience is always amazing. This place is so affordable and you get such bang for your buck. My go to order is the stir fry ramen, bbq bahn mi, and winter rolls. The Thai tea is also delicious. I literally love this place and always take all my friends and family here!!

A gem of a spot that offers exclusively vegan, Vietnamese cuisine. Tried two different kinds of banh mi and the Thai Tea. The banh mi's are reasonably priced around $6. As a Vietnamese person, any banh mi priced over $8 is a little overpriced in my opinion. Both the lemongrass and all chay banh mi had great flavor, my only feedback is I wish there was more fixings filling the banh mi as you can see in the photos. The Thai tea was delicious and had a hint of something like red bean in it too. I would love to come back and try their other vegan Vietnamese dishes though. A very peaceful interior that makes you feel like you're definitely at a Vietnamese owned restaurant in the best way.

An order and sit type of joint, area is nestled in a very small parking lot. Tons of seating, gives you that typical Asian pho place vibes. Wife and I grabbed two different banh mi and two different fresh rolls. Food was just okay, flavor profile was missing on the rolls and a lot of flavoring I was expecting and a bit unappealing on the flavors. Banh mis were a bit lackluster. Prices were a bit higher than I'd like. Service was great, if I'm in the area again I'll give this place a second look as it has potential.

This is the best vegan food I have had. I had the ginger tofu and the allchay eggrolls and this food has brought me back to life! I really hope this place sticks around.

On my way to catch a flight and I don't like to eat heavy before flying. I'm an omnivore, but my wife has dietary restrictions and this was a nice place for both of us. We ordered Veggie Egg Rolls, BBQ Noodle Salad, and Lemongrass Fried Rice. Everything was good with good flavor, you would be hard pressed convincing me the BBQ salad wasn't animal protein. Good meal and exactly what we wanted before getting on plane. Very casual environment. Order at counter and they bring food to you. Located in a lot of local shops in a residential neighborhood.

I love Vietnamese food and never had vegan Vietnamese. I ordered the mogolian Noodle. It was delicious! Full of flavor and very fresh. This is a no frills place but the food is amazing.

I was so excited to find a local vegan place close to where I was staying in SLC. They did seem a little

friendly staff and great vegan Vietnamese food. If I lived in town I'd go all the time. If I'm ever back in SLC this will be the first place I return to.

We've stopped here twice for food on our way to and from SLC airport. It's a good restaurant, with the spring rolls being a particular favorite of mine. I wish they had a few more dishes that weren't so heavily based on fake meat. For vegetarian food I'd rather have something that's based on tofu or straight vegetables. Still a good place though and they're pretty conveniently located if you're headed to the airport.

All Shay is amazing. I love how they're so committed to the recycling. Cause you know, eating vegan is great for saving animals but according to a scientific paper I made up, plastics kill animals. They're so committed to this green lifestyle there's no AC and so eating the soups may be be I think they're amazing also in terms of... to be continued never.

Y'all, it is no small feat to make vegan pho broth. Good pho broth isn't actually that hard to do (for a regular Vietnamese household), it just takes a while. Great broth is hard. But take away meat, and it's very difficult to get that fragrant, heady taste that's meaty but light. Some places go hard on mushrooms for the umami, which is a different profile altogether. Even more places treat the broth as an afterthought, rather than the soul of pho. All Chay has great broth. The right smell, the right taste, the right color. And their vegan meats are the right texture, there's even a pretty passable version of the classic Vietnamese pork sausage. If I had to quibble, I'd say their noodles were a bit insubstantial, but if that's the worst thing I can say, they're doing pretty good. After their pho, I had to take a banh mi to go, so went for the All Chay. This was an excellent vegan banh mi, from the taste of the protein to the textures of the vegetables to the tang of pickled carrots. Really well done. Chay, by the way, is a Buddhist term for vegetarian fasting, originally from the Chinese. So it's no surprise to find statues of bodhisattvas and messages wishing for the happiness and health of people and animals. That aura of kindness and warmth permeates the food here. Highly recommended.

All Chat remains our favorite vegan eatery in SLC. We've eaten just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Their pho is delightful, and their banh mi is some of the best I've ever had outside of Vietnam. No matter what you order, the portions are substantial, especially given the reasonable price. What sets All Chat apart, though, is their commitment to customer service. Yesterday we stopped in to order some to-go food to take back to Wendover, only to find that the restaurant wouldn't open for another 45 minutes. Rather than turn us away, the owner went urged us to come in and order anyway. You don't find that kind of service often these days.

My daughter is vegan and the rest of us are not so we decided to let her choose the restaurant this time and we were not disappointed. I ordered a banh mi sandwich and I thought it was yummy. My hubby ordered some sort of noodle salad and typically has a gut problem when he buys anything with lettuce in it when we go out to eat, but he didn't at All Chay. This says something about their ingredients. We'd order from here again. Yum! They grow their own herbs in house too.

I never thought I'd one day crave vegan food like I do All Chay's ALL THE TIME. As someone who does not eat an exclusively vegan diet, I can tell you this place will blow your mind and satiate your hunger. I've ventured across the menu a few times but I always come back to my absolute favorite--the teriyaki rice dish. I've recently been ordering extra protein to accommodate my fitness goals and they graciously do so. The sense of family and community at this place is also superb.

Last time I was in town and around this establishment here, I enjoyed a bowl of Phò Noodles and the vegan meat that they offered here. I remember it was fantastic, and being a meat lover, I found it to be very tasty and enjoyable, even though the owner said it was a soy-based meat. Today, however, I was in around the area again and this time, I wanted to try something else. While standing in line, I've noticed that the restaurant is quite busy at 2:30pm in the afternoon on a Saturday in the winter time. I ordered the Bành Mì (sandwich) -- I choose the "All Chay" option. After, say 5 minutes or so, the order came out. I asked for it to go so the chef wrapped it in foil paper and placed inside a brown bag! The sand which was relatively warm and the bread is just right--not too brittle nor too soft. I have got to say, this is by far the best Bành Mì sandwich I've ever had--that is saying allot because if you grew up on eating these sandwiches in Southern California with the various and multi-location of the Lee's Sandwich Shops throughout all of California, you'll know that this here shop, All Chay, makes the best Sandwich I've had in a loooooonnnggg time!! I'm highly recommending this establishment to anyone wanting to try Bành Mì or even the Phò here!! Sorry, no photos this time--Sandwich was too good to take a photo of! Cheers!

An unique, family owned vegan restaurant that draws the attention of all foodies around SLC! I was with my vegan friends when they wanted to stop by. I ordered the Mongolian noodle bowl while my friends ordered teriyaki chicken rice bowls. The portions seemed big and I had ordered the biggest plate out of all my friends. But after chowing down the whole bowl, I still felt hungry. I guess I can't justify spending $10 on some noodles and still feeling hungry after. Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious. However, for vegan vermicelli, I'd much prefer SOMI that offers quality dining space along with delicious and filling food for about the same price. Will I be back? Probably. As of right now, I will adventure through other great Vietnamese restaurants around town.

So grateful a co-worker recommended this little gem. A vegan/vegetarian restaurant where I can get a flavorful delicious meal for under 10 bucks...yes please!! There is not much parking in the lot in front but there is plenty of street parking. You go up to the counter to order and take a number and the food gets delivered to you. We waited all of 5 mins between ordering our food and having it brought to our table. The dining area is open and spacious with plenty of tables (And even a few large rounds with the lazy Susan in the middle for larger groups). Nothing fancy. Not much decor. Just plain simple and open. My husband ordered the Pho (and he was shocked to learn it was vegan ad he has never had a vegan pho...most restaurants only offer beef base), and I ordered the Teriyaki Chikun noodle bowl. The meals came out in oversized bowls and packed with food. His Pho had vegan ham, vegan beef, and tofu with noodles and a fragrant broth. He added some sriracha and oyster sauce to finish it off and he devoured every bite. For someone who loves his meat and loves pho, he sure enjoyed this vegan version down to the last drop. My meal came with spring rolls, lettuce, cucumber, mint, noodles and teriyaki vegan chicken. The spring rolls were perfect crisp outside and one of the best I've had in Utah. The noodles were cooked perfect and the chikun was really packed with flavor. I could barely tell it was vegan. The meal came with a dressing of sorts to cover all the ingredients and it added a little punch of flavor. I loved the mint in the dish as it was a nice surprise with all the other flavors. I also ate every bite. The person behind the counter was extremely friendly and explained things well when we asked questions. When finished with your meal, drop off your dishes in the tubs in the middle of the room (or leave on the table if you wish). Thoroughly impressed with my meal here and will definitely be sending other vegan (and non vegan friends) here and make a trip out during lunch during the week as well.

Tons of great options on the menu, it was super hard to decide. Ended up trying a bit of the Lemongrass Tofu Banh Mi, Drumsticks, Pho, and Teriyaki Chicken Fried Rice. The Banh Mi was a little heavy on the bread compared to the ingredients. The Drumsticks could've used a little more breadcrumbs, but was super tasty with the sauce. The Pho was awesome, probably the best vegetarian pho I've had (although I'm not a huge fan) -- it has lots of tofu and pieces of fake beef which really helped! The Teriyaki Chicken dish was probably my favorite, I love the sauce and the texture of the chicken. Overall, I support most vegetarian places pretty strongly -- I love that this is place is purely Vietnamese food. I think it's unique and really worth trying, would love to see it get more business!

Phenomenal food and amazing customer service! Great place to get vegan food. The flavors of the pho and egg rolls were amazing.

When my friend suggested this place, I wasn't that excited but he's got good taste. The theme of "Vegan Vegetarian Vietnamese" doesn't rank in my top choices. I was wrong. I got the stir fried ramen with soy chicken and eggless egg roll appetizers. Wow. You couldn't tell it was soy chicken and the egg rolls were fantastic. Lots of choices for table sauces and a water station too. The service was great this place is a hidden gem and will return.

Just what I wanted and needed. I'm dairy-free and it's sometimes exhausting find a restaurant where I can eat, so vegan restaurants are great. And this one did NOT disappoint. It was a perfect pre-flight meal. Everything was tasty and the service was quick. We had N1 Noodle bBQ and it was outstanding, along with the lemon grass fried rice and crispy veggie egg roles. They also have some with proteins. I am a very happy lady right now. Worth the drive, a little out of the way. The exterior and decor are a little old and it's counter ordering, so very casual dining. I highly recommend if you want good food, whether you are plant based or not.

The best vegan pho I have ever had in my life!!! Just moved to the neighborhood and had some friends over to check out the new place. Ended up getting hungry and ordering takeout. Everyone LOVED their food! It's hard to get a vegan/vegetarian pho just right and I was BEYOND pleased with it. Would highly recommend the four seasons rolls.

Their food always hit the spot. I keep going back after so many years. The service is always good no complaints.
