Santiago's Mexican Restaurant

This specific Santiago's SUCKS! Only Santiago's that gets my order wrong. I have only been here 2 times and both times my order is wrong. And I DNT want to go back because the service sucks as well. I told the guy if he got my order correct and he repeated it back to me.....still got it wrong. Cooks in the back look like they DNT give a damn either..I asked for steak bowl with beans and got egg bowl with potatoes. Plus their chili does not taste nowhere like the other Santiago's. I go to the one in Lakewood, in Thornton, and the new one by the Airport (best one/my favorite) THIS SANTIAGOS SUCKS BIG TIME!!!!!

Awesome food, and very friendly staff. We got the Tamales Plate and they were amazing. Hot is pretty spicy if you're not used to spice, but is perfectly delicious. It was pretty empty here when I went, but otherwise the atmosphere is pretty okay. Outdoor seating available.

Joe was amazing, with great customer service and an awesome atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious.

I paid 29.74 for 4 burritos and a smothered fries they messed up my whole order had to drive back TWICE and wouldn’t let me keep the food and give me a refund when it should’ve been right the first time ! And also mine you the food they gave me they were just gonna throw away. Frankie’s whole excuse for not letting me keep the food and the refund was cuz he would have to pay for it. Make sure you check your food cuz obviously they don’t

Service was good. Our food was ready very quick. Got home excited to dig in only to find that they forgot to put the verde sauce on my enchiladas. Huge disappointment considering how bland and dry the chicken inside them was. At first glance my girlfriend thought I was eating food from the gas station. Girlfriend only took one bite of her taco due to the absence of toppings (onion, salsa, cilantro, anything…).Portion size was great, but I struggled to get past the bland unseasoned ingredients. Can’t say I would recommend.

Santiago's, at any location, is atop my list of fastest breakfast service providers. The quality of their Delicious breakfast burritos always prevails! In my experience, they never miss hitting the breakfast spot on the head, out the door, and leaves me pondering, 'Why don't I dine there for breakfast more?!'.

Breakfast, hot, with cheese, add bacon. Thank me later. Tuesday, wednesday, thursday, or friday. Its a 4 dollar up charge but it is well worth it because they will add a massive amount of bacon elevating the burito.

This place never fails to mess up my order I ordered 2 bacon breakfast burritos. With hot chili neither of them were hot nor did they have any bacon on them and for some reason they only put chili at the ends of the burrito

Update: Same great food. Same great service. A gem amongst the Santiago's!! Thank you for everything. -- Consistently good food. Quick service, especially if ordered ahead of time. Chips and salsa is amazing. The chips last a while, more than a few days. The hot green chili is very hot and addicting. Santiago's has been around for many years and all locations are splendid. Go there. You'll be glad you did.

The service was fast, but it wasn't very friendly. The food was decent, but it didn't stand out as the best Santiago cuisine, and it seemed like the portion sizes had been reduced. The atmosphere felt more like a fast-food restaurant. Our meals appeared to be microwaved, and it was clear that everything was pre-frozen. Overall, I won't be returning. The food was bland and tasteless.

12/11/25 Preordered 21 Breakfast Burritos for my store to GIVE AWAY to Customers for Christmas. Usually do this about 3 times in Dec. They now charge 4% fee for credit cards and hide it. Another thing they dont show you is they add a 15% Gratuity to your bill you dont see. 21 Buritos @ 3.49 = 73.29 + tax 5.13 + 10.99 Tip = $89.41 " hmmm Not Shown " Total Jumps to 92.99. thats the $3.58 Double hidden fee. $14.57 I should NOT have to pay. Then to top it all off " you can see in the photo " They give you a receipt to sign that hides everything and ask for more of a tip while hiding the previous one. " i own a store around the corner And I dont charge no credit fee " Plus we give them free drinks and sometimes more for stopping in. So unless you ask for an Itemized receipt All you get is a credit reciept for 92.99 and the you still DONT see the fee or Automatic Tip. Im sorry but im NOT going to give you an $11 tip for me picking up my food. Your teaching these young people in you store this is Normal. that is Bad. you earn your tip, I dont give you extra so you can reduce your wages. Now you lost about $350 in sales from us over the year. Is it worth it ? I see someone mentioned 20% before in reviews.

This place is always serving the best food! The green chile breakfast burritos are wonderful and reasonably priced! If you haven't had Santiago's check it out. They are fast and delicious!

amazing breakfast burritos, freshly made and the perfect size! they're cheap too... the service is very fast, so i think this is a great place for a quick, to-go meal. the interior is fairly clean, with plenty of seating.

Pre-made breakfast burritos are slimy and cold inside...SERVICE..treats customers like crap, attitude and very rude. You should treat your customers like family.

We love Santiagos and Johnstown. It may make it so easy to call and order and pick up within about 15 minutes. We were so disappointed when we realized they were adding a 20% tip to our Colin orders. We have no idea when this started, but on the receipt, it says the suggested tip amounts are provided for your convenience. Not that they're going to get 20% of your bill for taking a phone call. If we were in the restaurant and they were actually providing service, we would happily give them 20% or more. I wanted to reach out to the owner, but after searching Google, there was no way to give feedback so I am doing it this way instead. When you pick up your Santiago's order, make sure that you check the total amounts. This was so disappointing.

They clearly switched up who was working in the kitchen the random morning we returned because the burritos we got last time we're just really something and made by the generous green chile guy. He was working the register this time. Trust me. I don't forget a face that is talented. The person who made our burritos this time needs to be put in burrito jail. They committed a felony and didn't provide enough glorious green chile. We *almost* didn't finish them. It will be a while before we return. Santiago's is up there as some of the best green chile at their zenith. Much like Los Carboncitos, it all depends on who is working the kitchen. The generous green chile guy is happy. Keep him in the kitchen at all times. He loves green chile and understands the importance of it. And he needs to train others to be happy about adding this green chile to burritos and other stuff.

I have such a positive association with Santiago's because of all my friends that hyped it up for months before I finally got to try one of their burritos. I've gotten it plain, filled, and smothered. My favorite is the carne asada burrito filled with green chile. Made the mistake of getting plain once, and it was one of the driest things I've ever tasted. Customer service is decent. There's usually seating (and always parking) that's open, but I'll often take my food to-go. I always seem to miss the window for breakfast burritos (before 11am) which is notoriously one of the best items on the menu. Their horchata is average but commonly paired with whatever meal I get. So far, I love being a regular here!

Breakfast burritos are cheap and delicious, and always served hot up until like 11 am. The vibe inside is laid back Mexican restaurant with walk up counter and area to sit and eat if you want, although I prefer to grab my burritos and run. The servers are kind and mostly bilingual in Spanish and English and do a dang good job at taking a large amount of orders and running the front of house. Always a 100% go to for a burrito fix.

Always love this place for a breakfast burrito. By far the best breakfast burrito in the Denver Metro area, and probably Colorado for that matter.

This location has gone so far downhill. The last three times I have ordered have been disasters. They have a new POS system that clearly no one has been trained adequately on. As was the case today, the front counter staff would do well to handle customers instead of flirting with one another. There were two orders before mine that were incorrect because of the staff not paying attention. My order took well over 20 minutes with multiple large orders being called in front of mine. The only reason my order took 20 minutes and not longer was because I complained and a different front counter employee went back to the kitchen to get it. My taquitos were over done and lacked filling. Top that off with tipping suggested at 18% as a minimum?? No way. Don't get me wrong, I worked in food service, I know when tips are earned, and this definitely ain't it. Skip these guys and go to Illegal Pete's instead. You won't regret it.

The breakfast burritos are legendary within Denver. But be advised if you have a picky eater, your trip might require a little more planning as certain burritos fillings are only available on a set schedule.

Cheap and yummy burritos. Get the half and half chili! Friendly service too and pretty fast even at lunch time

Breakfast burritos are simple, no fuss, with mild, half and half or hot spicy options. Each day is a different meat option, so don't be picky and enjoy a quick yummy meal! Line is long at times but breakfast burrito orders come out very quickly once you order. Keep it simple and you won't be disappointed. Very casual atmosphere.

Will always be obsessed with Santiago's! This location didn't have seating but that's okay! This is my favorite burrito (smothered chicken burrito) and I get it every time. Beware the half mild/half spicy chile is HOT. If you like it on the less spicy side- get mild!! The chicken is perfectly shredded and not in weird cubes like some burritos.

This location in particular is just the absolute worst at order accuracy. I'm tired of paying for extras and not getting them with my meal - or items that are part of the meal just not there. No salsa for my hard tacos, no guacamole with my street tacos meal, sour cream in my breakfast burrito (that I did not ask for) are just a few of the latest mishaps. I ordered an egg, potato, and cheese burrito one time and the cashier rang it up as a complete special burrito and even charged me $2.00+ for the cheese. A $4 menu item burrito came out to about $7. WTH??? The fact that it happens so often to my orders is just laughable. And when I call to explain, I am talked back to with rudeness after being put on hold for 3-5 minutes. This location was amazing about 5-6 years ago... now it's just a place where the employees have no passion at all. I'm absolutely done with this location and probably all Santiagos locations.

My boyfriend and I were told that this was the best place for breakfast burritos in Denver, and they did not disappoint. They have a great selection of tacos, burritos, and other breakfast/lunch items. Everyday they have a burrito of the day, with different meat options depending on the day of the week. They also have vegetarian and gluten free options! The staff were very friendly and happy to help. Will definitely go back!

I consistently choose their stuffed sopapilla, but since the Covid pandemic, its price has increased, portion size has decreased, and there's less cheese. As a result, I rated them 4 stars instead of 5. The taste has slightly shifted to a more vegetarian-like flavor rather than a meaty one, possibly due to the use of a more generic chili recipe to cater to vegan and vegetarian customers.

this place has their sh*t together. their green chile is awesome. choose mild, hot, or half and half. ask for extra chile, you're going to crave it. my next suggestion would be to try the stuffed sopapilla. chicken and beans are my favorite stuffings. then don't forget the dessert sopapillas - plain with honey, or cinnamon sugar. no alcohol. they have horchata, soft drinks, bottled teas, lemonades. excellent food and service. it's a family owned enterprise with different cousins working at different locations. their breakfast burritos are solid! fresh tortilla, excellent texture and moisture, nice balance of egg, cheese, and chile. we've been supporting this location and the north federal location for years. enjoy!!!

It's the summer of Covid-19 and so sadly a part of each review will have to take that into account. And in that department this location of Santiago's loses out because their take-out system's not what it should be. You can order on-line, but when and if they're busy they won't let you pay on-line and they use common pens where they make you sign the receipt after they take your card and swipe it themselves. Then you stand in a snaking line and run face-to-face into other customers who are waiting for their order or are leaving the restaurant. Not a good or safe system. As importantly their breakfast burrito (deluxe / smothered) wasn't anywhere near as substantial as the version they serve at their Leetsdale location. Searched long and hard for any egg and or pork in the dish. Spice level was fine as was the green chile but the lack of a decent stuffing made it "good" but in no way special. Sorry Santiago's but given your poor health protocol what would have been a three star review magically transformed itself into a 2 star review. Stay safe out there, David

The BEST breakfast burritos!!!!! Soo good I wish this was a 24 hour business! Great service and fast! Enjoy!

I have been a regular here for years, it's convenient and close to work. Lately the service has been less than ideal and my order consistently wrong. Sometimes I am provided a quick resolution with a replacement order and other times told too bad it's right because we say so. I understand being a busy, fast paced To go restaurant but it's becoming sloppy and rushed causing continuous errors.

Cheap, tasty, and fast. Seriously, it's great. The breakfast burritos are really good.

I've had these breakfast burritos before and couldn't get enough. So dang good. This one was not. It was like runny or soupy. Not enough eggs and it was like it had gravy on it. Very odd. Do the same people not own it?

Who doesn't love their $2 flavorful roll up of pure joy breakfast burritos? I'm writing this at 5:12am Sunday morning wishing they where open today Best green chilli from a restaurant in Colorado "mild, hot, 1/2 $ 1/2". Come on!! Only wish they delivered for hungover mornings.

I love Santiago's but this location is not quite ready for comfortable service compared to the other locations I've visited. The exterior and interior of the building were in bad shape. Bathroom was kind of nasty and the doorknob was falling off, lots of graffiti inside. We ate out of plastic clamshell containers, they really didn't have a legit place to sit inside but they said they are opening the dining area soon. Food was decent but the food quality takes a drop off for me when it's put into a to-go container. I'm not a "to-go" kind of customer, like to eat my food fresh. Maybe it will improve.

Chile rellano was great! I ordered crispy and smothered and it was super delicious. I also ordered a regular burrito and put it in the green chili sauce - it was amazing. It does not matter how busy they are, they will crank your order out in 5 minutes. Super fast and easy for breakfast!

As the Santiago's duchess, I figure I should probably write a review. I come to Santiago's A LOT. I make it over there almost once a week and I've never had a bad meal. Most recently I've discovered their enchilada plate. 3 enchiladas for with rice and beans for $7. Need I say more? Best green chili in town. I've tried lots of others and Santiago's still reigns supreme. This location has a walk up and order counter or you can get table service. Everything here is quick and delicious.

This location is a joke. They completely messed up my to go order. The beans and rice are from King Soopers.

We've always ordered a vegetarian breakfast burrito from various Santiago's. Stopped at this one and was told they don't do vegetarian green chili. I've never noticed pork in my burritos before so I'm confused if they changed or we've actually been eating non-vegetarian burritos this whole time? So instead they put salsa in it, which was gross. And the burritos are cold!

Kat A. is right. Amazingly delicious breakfast burritos. I was in line today to get mine and started chatting with the guy behind me. He told me a story about how his wife went through withdrawls when another location was under renovations (because someone smashed their car into it). I thought to myself, "would I miss my Santiagos if someone smashed their car into it?" The answer is yes. *big shout out for the chicken soft tacos again too. So tender and flavorful. Yum.

Below average burrito and you very well may need to wait 20 minutes. I get it's $3 but you'd be far better off at Chipotle. Fresher and quicker.

Ever since I moved to Denver a year and a half ago, I've heard people go crazy over the breakfast burritos here, and after giving it two fair chances, I can honestly say it is not at all worth the hype, not even close. Both their quality and customer service are awful. I do not recommend and will not be going back.

I have been going to Santiago's for a few years now. I usually stop by once a week. I am now going to stop going for breakfast burrito's. I am tried of paying for a burrito that just has egg and potato. They advertise days of the week for Monday its ham, Tuesday is Chorizo etc. Well you don't get the meat. It's just the flavor they say. I love the green chile and lunch or dinner but no more breakfast stops for me.

Old fashioned burritos. Simple, delicious, cheap. The service was friendly and the salsas were tasty. The burritos were not the giant ones everyone expects now, but the smaller ones that allow you to get multiples and are priced for that! I got two burritos and I was full and happy with my choices! The breakfast burrito was tasty, but the asada beef was the winner! Glad I tried this place.

I'm running out of Mexican fast food places to eat at. First off, there's only one Taco Bell within a 5 mile radius with an open dining area. Now, this the 2nd Santiagos this morning that has PERMANENTLY CLOSED THEIR DINING AREA! I haven't eaten at the Viva Burrito near my house in over 2 years because, no dining area. I don't eat in my car, so Santiagos, Viva Burrito and Taco Bell are no longer options. I drove less than a mile north of Santiagos Santa Fe location to Tacos Los Campos. Tacos Los Campos is open 24/7! That have a large, warm dining room that apparently is always open. The food is awesome with huge portions (no need to order 2 burritos here). Forget Santiagos, try Tacos Los Campos.

It really doesn't have the greatest appeal out nor inside the establishment but the food is pretty good. I had some doubts just for the simple reason I'm particularly picky when it come to Mexican food. Needed something quick and spicy so my friend recommended this place considering it was in the area (Santa Fe Art) we were in. Walking in they have their menu printed on the top of the right hand side large format I didn't see any hand held ones so if you have never been there carful and move aside because it right next to the ordering/registering and during lunch it moves pretty quickly. I went ahead and ordered the burrito beef and bean smothered in Chile(hot) while my buddy ordered 2 Chile Renos with mild Chile. Orders dine in and probably waited maybe 5-6mins till our food arrived. My plate was really flavorful and the right amount of heat but careful I eat jalapeños like apples for those who are curious how hot I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I liked it not loved but it definitely better than a lot of other places in the area when it comes to delicious, affordable, fast Mexican food.

This is the best green chili in Colorado hands down. I keep trying other places hoping to find better only to be disappointed. You can't beat their cheap breakfast burritos!!!!!!

Santiago's (don't know which location) made probably a thousand breakfast burritos for the 2018 Denver Startup Week for a Wednesday evening event sponsored by Dice. I'm a pescetarian, and got a couple of burritos during the night which were supposed to have been vegetarian, at different times from different servers. Except every single one of the three had chicken in it in addition to the potatoes and eggs that were supposed to be inside without the chicken. You'd think they'd be individually labelled for what's inside (I was told it's the box they're from that's labelled), but they're only individually labelled for spiciness, not for dietary restrictions. I don't know whether it was a labeling or the ordering/preparing issue, or both, but, regardless, not making any proper vegetarian burritos for an event with a thousand of people is a major fail in my book -- if only 5% of folks were vegetarian, that's 50 people who had to taste disgusting-to-them things in their mouths, as the chicken was very well hidden inside between the egg and potatoes. Besides, how difficult is it to make an item without one of the 3 ingredients?! Vegetarians still eat eggs and cheese (the burritos didn't have any cheese, though), so, it's a very easy diet to cater to.

Santiago's makes a fabulous breakfast burrito. The half and half green chili blends their fiery hot with their too mild mild to make the perfect sauce for potatoes, eggs and cheese. I also like that the burritos are on the smaller size and you can eat one without feeling sick afterwards. My preference is to order the non meat filled breakfast burritos so I'm not eating mystery meat but it is much faster to order the regular burrito in my experience.

I just had my first experience having a steak burrito here for breakfast. Note, not the breakfast burrito that so many talk about, maybe next time. First off, it's not authentic Mexican, rather some type of American Tex-Mex? My steak burrito was served with a "little" steak, maybe a thin spread of beans, then rolled and topped with a green chili sauce and cheese. It cost about $9 and wasn't impressive at all. The steak was chewy and a bit bland, no flavor. The green chili sauce was pretty good, but nothing over the top. I will come back to try the breakfast burrito, as it is popular and seems to be a good value. I'll follow after I get a chance to go back, but no rush...
