Not the review I wanted to leave, but the one I feel I have to... The good: The restaurant is well-decorated with an exotic atmosphere. The server was considerate in meeting my requests, including for extra spice options. The tea was a nice accompaniment. The bad: While eating my dish - Drunken Noodles with Fried Tofu - I noticed an "off" taste to the tofu, as if it were freezerburnt. But I paid it little mind. After the meal, I felt sick to my stomach. Less than half an hour later, my body was rejecting the food. Could it have been an unhappy coincidence, or a case of overeating? Perhaps. But I do worry about food safety, and can't see myself coming back here anytime soon. The verdict: If it weren't for falling ill, this would have been a solid 4-star dining experience, easily. But I have to rate it based on the meal that I received. Hopefully your experience ends with less vomiting than mine.

Do not patronize this place. Despite that they have posted hours, they locked their doors, saw me outside of their establishment, came out to ask me if wanted an order to go because they closed their dining room, then told me they would not take my order! I will never come to this awful place again. If you’re hungry and want reliable and good Thai Food….avoid this place!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. The food is always so amazing. Everything I've tried here is fresh and so flavorful. The staff is so lovely and attentive. They always make me feel so welcome. The food is so good and such a large portion I always have a second meal to take home even. Such a unique interior. Really one of the best restaurants in Atlanta.

From the minute I walked in the restaurant smelled like a garden outside of someone's kitchen. The dining room was beautiful with Thai wooden decor that was so unique. The staff greets you and service is fast and friendly. Food was hot , flavorable and delicious with amaizing presentation. Will definitely be back!!

Started with a Lychee Martini which I asked to be lighter on vodka and heavier on lychee juice, and I have to say it was perfect. Next we had Chicken Satay. The plate looked lovely, and the chicken was fresh and hot, but the chicken was a bit dry and the chicken and the satay sauce both seemed under-seasoned and flat in favor. Our main dishes were Shrimp Pad See-Eew, and Chicken Masaman Curry. Both dishes came out hot and fresh, but like the Satay, they lacked any depth of flavor and just seemed bland. The Masaman was requested to be “hot” it was neither spicy hot nor flavorful. Unfortunately pretty surroundings and great service don’t make up for lackluster food. Compared to our usual local Thai place, Bangkok Thyme just doesn’t measure up.

Ordered Stir-Fried Spicy Thai Basil Lunch using grub hub. I was completely disappointment in what i received. I tried to take this issue up with grub hub and old received a $1.36 refund because this order does not come with rice. The Grub Hub agent sated that since i got an extra item there was nothing o be done. So in reference to the picture, the amount of stir fry present is a lunch portion or they just didn’t have enough and added the rice and i hide that. Wow. These entirely vegetables. The chicken pieces are small and very thinly cut. I also had the 6 Cream cheese crab Rangoon’s. I can honestly tell you that Panda Express basic Rangoon’s are better than theirs. I’m really shocked at my experience based on the reviews. But lesson learned. If i wasn’t at work I’d definitely take to the restaurant for a full refund. NEVER AGAIN.

I ordered pineapple fried rice with tofu and a vegetarian sushi roll. The sushi roll was good but pretty much exactly what you’d expect for a custom ordered one. They don’t have any specific ones on the menu which is a lost opportunity. The rice didn’t taste good. It didn’t taste fresh and the seasoning was off. My impression is that this place is not that great for vegans or vegetarians, but it might be better for others.

I like my green curry not so soupy. A little short on flavor and heat. Presentation was nice. Staff was attentive. Just need attention to details when comes to ambiance. Blind was very bad shape. Few ceiling tiles were hanging. With all above = 5 out of 10

Bangkok Thyme is a Thai restaurant in the Sandy Springs portion of Roswell Road known for its fresh and creative sushi offerings and authentic Thai food. We ordered the Lychee martini, Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Toro on Fire, Bangkok Fried Rice (Chicken), Spicy Holy Basil Chicken, Fried Cheesecake. Meal highlights include the Lychee Martini, Spring Rolls, Toro on Fire, and Bangkok Fried Rice. The Spicy Holy Basil Chicken was lacking spice and seasoning. While the fried cheesecake dough was tasty, the filling lacked flavor. The restaurant decor is very colorful and welcoming. I love the restaurant name etched on the tables. Our meal came out within an appropriate timeframe and we were provided with great and friendly service. We will definitely return; my husband for the fried rice, and me for the sushi rolls, curry, and to try other cocktails.

I wish I could give this place a negative 1, it was the worst thai food I've ever had. Ordered Togo, otherwise I would have returned everything right then and there. The food was so salty, rubbery shrimp, weird texture noodles, chewy beef, just so bad and pretty expensive too. Threw everything away after a few bites. Huge waste of money.

We have been coming here for at least 10 years and I must say that it never stops getting better. It's delicious, fast, and affordable with large portions. Love this place and Bertha!

I had high hopes for Bangkok Thyme after seeing it featured on a local television segment. We were greeted cordially upon entry by a lady who was most likely an owner or manager. After being seated it took some time for us to decide upon our orders so eventually a different lady checked on us. This lady was totally robotic, no smile, no enthusiasm or energy. It was very difficult for her to answer questions about the menu and the options offered. We decided to just point to the items and take them as the chef prepared them. We ordered an appetizer of squid rings which came AFTER our main entrees arrived. We had a sushi order as an app and it arrived with our entrees. The squid rings were tasty and I'd order them again if I ever returned. My entree was so underwhelming I don't remember what it was. The miso soup was ok, and the California rolls were okay. Maybe I should have arrived with a television film crew in order to be treated like a valued customer. The menu isn't cheap versus the quality of the service and the mediocrity of the food. It will be a long Thyme before I return to Bangkok Thyme!

I've been craving some Thai, and glad I found this restaurant. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai, which is a dish that I usually order from Thai restaurants. While I was waiting, I actually met a Lady that's a regular and she recommended several different dishes and the Thai tea. She said she loved the food. My food came out pretty quick, in about 5-7 minutes. No eating utensils or napkins were in the bag. The Pad Thai was good, nice size shrimp, and peanuts were on the side. The Pad Thai was 12.95, plus 5.00 for shrimp, which is kinda pricey in my opinion. But, I would try this restaurant again.

Disgusting food. I would leave negative stars if I could. I want to share about my issue with an order tonight. This was the most ridiculous experience I've ever had. I had rotten food delivered that was so inedible I had to throw it away, and also missing items that I paid for. All I asked for was a refund for the order as the sushi was spoiled, the massaman curry was so spicy it was not able to be eaten (I ordered mild), the panang curry tasted like dirty dish water and was also too spicy (again I ordered mild), and I was missing the extra vegetables I paid for. The items I received went into the trash. My driver for Uber was nice but Uber Eats and this experience was absolutely disgusting.

This is the first Thai restaurant that I've tried in the area that I would actually recommend to someone. When you walk in, the decor is top notch, and the booths feel very homey and comfortable (complete with pillows so you don't have to sit against the wooden backs if you don't want to. The service was rather slow, even though there weren't many customers there, but that seems the going rate as we slug through this pandemic. Thankfully, we weren't in a big hurry, and had lots of time to chat and catch up while we were there. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Pad See Ew. The Pad Thai noodles looked overcooked, but I was told the flavor on them was pretty good (although the beef was picked out as it was way too chewy). Mine was delicious, although not a ton of flavor, but it was a solid meal, and very filling. I always have a problem with places that served canned beverages because (1) no refills, and (2) often times the drinks taste stale. It wasn't the end of the world, but wasn't that great, either. Overall, fairly solid experience. I'd be willing to give them another try.

I ordered lunch to go from here and it was terrible, not fresh at all. The nigiri sushi was off color/brown and off on aroma and taste too. I also had a California roll that had the fake crab and cucumber but no avocado, and the rice was dry and crumbly. I threw it all in the trash.

While I had made a review for 5 stars the quality of the food has decreased and the prices increased tremendously. Which makes it no longer worth going. Very sad

Really cool interior area. I really like the ambiance and presentation and the team is really nice. Coconut soup was excellent. Next time I'll go medium instead of mild. Same for the red curry, very good but I'll add a bit more spice next time.

The Sandy Springs area has a lot of great restaurants that I would love to try and this one in particular, I really enjoyed. Of course, my family got Sushi and I chose the shrimp fried rice. The portion was a great size and for that price, I would expect it to be. This establishment really makes you feel like you're in another country. The people, the decorations, the all around atmosphere is amazing. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and she also recommended their popular dishes. It's always nice traveling from Smyrna to a different City just to try new food lol.

I feel badly about posting this, but it was a horrible meal. The shrimp in my pad Thai was rancid. We could smell it as it approach the table. I didn't wanna believe that they had served me seafood. It smelled like that. But even my husband smelled it from across the other side of the table. It was horrible and we sent it back, no one came out to apologize for the obviously bad seafood. No manager no owner. It made me very sad because I love this restaurant. I heard from my mother that she had had a similar experience the week before at the same restaurant. I am sad that this restaurant is not upholding its standards of culinary excellence that it once had. My husbands meal was less than pleasing to him. Sorry to leave this but people should know...Pad Thai

FOUL!!! ordered the cucumber lollipop for $18 and the picture showed a large 12 piece roll. I got a 6 piece disgusting roll with half the ingredients missing. also ordered classic crab rangoons and got burned squares that looked NOTHING like the picture. this place is disgusting and a scam. seriously never order from here

Good food, good service, cozy booths! We stopped in for lunch & enjoyed Pad Woo Sen with chicken & the Sushi Lunch Combo with Red Curry/Chicken - Will definitely be back!

This review is a bit late, as I've been here for dinner in the past and enjoyed my meal. Today, I came here with a coworker and was pleasantly surprised with their offerings on the lunch menu. We started with an order of the vegetarian spring rolls (you get 3, but they come split in half) which are perfect for sharing. My coworker ordered what is probably their most popular offering - the thai/sushi combo. This comes in a "bento box" style and gives you the most bang for your buck ($9.95) - you get a soup or salad, 4 Pcs. of California Roll or 3 pieces of Sushi Nigiri, jasmine rice, entree, and cucumber salad. I didn't order this because I wasn't in the mood for sushi and I didn't want to waste food. My coworker really enjoyed her meal and said she will be back. I ordered the lunch portion of the Bangkok Ginger with Tofu. It was a decent portion but I wish the sauce was a little thicker. It was still good nonetheless. Outside of the food, the service was decent. Our waitress was also the hostess, cashier, busboy, you name it! LOL! I wouldn't be shocked if she was in the back cooking, too. Because we arrived promptly at 12pm, we didn't have to wait too long to be seated but we noticed some larger groups started seating themselves because they are just too understaffed. I don't recall my dinner experience being this way but it's definitely something to consider at lunch time, especially if you are on a tight schedule. All in all, I will be back because the food was good and the prices were very reasonable.

Decent food and the service was friendly, however they seemed to be very understaffed and the kind server was working as hostess and server and was just overworked. That being said, once our order was taken the food was out quickly. Not the best I've had but not bad. I ordered the beef pad see ew and ended up wishing I had ordered something different. We also had the dumplings for an app and I felt they were just okay. Nothing that stuck out as incredibly great or incredibly terrible here.

This place is OK. It's a small restaurant in a strip of restaurants. The title is a bit difficult to see from the road but it's beside cibo e beve. Dim inside at night. They can accommodate small to medium parties. They have a regular Thai menu and a small sushi menu. We came with a party of 8 and they were able to seat us relatively easy. We started off with one waitress who said she would be back to take our order but she never returned. Another waitress eventually came to take our order though. I didn't take a picture of all the food, just mine and my boyfriend's. I ordered sea bass teriyaki, and it said it was over a plate of mixed vegetables. I mistakenly expected something akin to a hibachi style mixed veggies plate. Really, it was 5 large slices of squash and a few steamed broccoli with a piece of sea bass on top. The sauce was all on the bottom so I tried to push my food around in it to add flavor to the vegetables. Sea bass was good, but the rest was just something I could've done myself. The rice was a bit dry, even when I added soy sauce. Not what I would expect. We also ordered yakisoba with beef, and the beef was dry also. Kinda hard but flavor was decent. Plate is huge but it's convex (huge outward protrusion in the middle) so you get less than you think you are. Others ordered pad Thai, a beef noodle dish, sunset roll, chicken teriyaki, double shrimp roll, Tokyo fried rice and a basil pork. The rice was for a 5 year old becaue they don't have anything for children or small portions for a child. So you pay an adult meal for your kid to eat 1/5 of it unless you happen to want to eat the same thing. The noodles and pork dishes had way too many onions in my opinion. Every bite had a long slice of onion but the sauces were alright. So that onion tasted good. Also, the waitress we ended up with came by once to fill our drinks with the first appetizer, but didn't fill them again or ask to until she brought the checks. My cup was empty for awhile after the Ice melted. Not exactly worth a repeat trip, but I'm not hungry after dinner nor do I have any leftovers.

Food is great HOWEVER we had to wait almost an hour to pick up our food. I don't appreciate their costumer service. Food is good but be prepared to wait. Disappointed because this isn't usual.

Loveeeee this place! Been coming here for years, why I never wrote a review on THE BEST THAI PLACE IN ATL, idk. This is my favorite Thai food in ATL, period. The food is amazing. They just get it here ! Very close to the real thing ( if you ever been to Thailand) the flavors and ingredients are all fresh and compliment the dishes very well. Local Chastain/ Buckhead Thai restaurant off Roswell Rd. across from Kroger in a shopping plaza. Favorite dishes - my go to is the SPICY BASIL NOODLES. I always sub the noodles for the small thin glass noodles as I believe it just makes the dish better. And of course I get Thai HOT! For protein I usual add tofu or shrimp, delish. The Miso soup here is bomb! The perfect taste of the broth and miso paste balance. Also it's vegetarian! Must try's : spicy holy basil , basil fried rice and or the spicy cashew but dish. All of these i rotate as I love all the flavors these dishes bring together. Staff- they are all very friendly and well manned. Bertha is my girl though. Her energy alone makes this place very special. She remembers your favorite dishes and how exactly you like them prepared. Great customer service and food comes out in a fairly quickly manner. Parking - very limited, always full. They do call in orders / doordash and Uber Eats

The food is good, when you get it. I have been disappointed several times when I have ordered through a third party and the side of rice or a salad is missing or both. I am not sure why there isn't customer service to pack the order correctly. In all three of the incidents where I have had a missing side or two, I have used a different delivery service. (Spoiler alert- it isn't the delivery person screwing up it is the person packing the bags). Nothing like a cup of curry and a side of air. It certainly doesn't work well.

I was extremely disappointed with my visit to this Thai restaurant. The server was rude and inattentive, and the food was both unappealing in appearance and lacking in flavor. The presentation was sloppy, and the dishes were underseasoned and overcooked. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning in the future. No one checked on us the entire time and seem only care about white customer only.

This place is a 3 1/2 star rounded up for our attentive waiter, Matt. - Busy chaotic ambiance - Close quarters...lots of booths closely put together + Selection of Thai and Sushi + Tasty basil chicken ... not hot even though it has 1 pepper for heat + Hot peppers in fish sauce...this fixed a lot (ask) + Friendly and attentive service - while not expensive, value ratio (cost to food) is not good ...their single portion of Tum Yum soup is $6 that was just ok - Parking is tight...plan on waiting for a spot Food here is a little bland. This is about same speed as Thai Diner except more cramped.

Consistently fresh and flavorful. Very courteous personnel. Menu is diverse and we usually go for take out, always ready & hot as scheduled. Always enjoyed!

Wow! This is the most authentic Asian food I have ever had. I came here with my Dad, and we are 100% going to come back again. To start, we ordered the Tuna Mushi. It's tuna on crispy chips with good seasoning. You get 6 prepared chips. As a main course, I ordered the Spicy Holy Chicken Basil. I cannot rave enough about this dish. When you order, they give you the option to spice it up or keep it tame. I like spicy food to an extent, so I did the tame version and loved it. It's $15, but there was so much food that I ate that for lunch the next day too. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer. He gave us great recommendations and went out of his way to give us a good experience. I will definitely be back to Bangkok Thyme. The food and service were phenomenal!

I may have found my new favorite Thai restaurant in Atlanta. At the very least, Bangkok Thyme is now up there with my favorites (King and I, Thaicoon). A coworker of mine who lives in Buckhead has recommended Bangkok Thyme to me for years. I always had it in the back of my mind until a LivingSocial deal gave me enough motivation to finally try the place out. The results were nothing short of great. Bangkok Thyme is located on Roswell Road, south of the perimeter, in a shopping center across from Kroger. Inside, from floor to ceiling, you can tell the staff put a lot of thought into decorating the space. It's decidedly Thai with traditional ornate woodwork and elegant tablecloths and pillows. The wooden blades of the ceiling fans are carved to resemble giant leaves. While this place serves both Thai food and sushi, I decided to try only Thai dishes on my first visit. I tried: Vegetarian spring rolls Spicy holy basil chicken Green curry with beef The vegetarian spring rolls consisted of cabbage, carrots, and small clear noodles. They were deep fried and served with plum sauce. These were small, but very tasty. The rolls were crispy and full of flavor. I really liked the holy basil chicken. The dish contained ground chicken stir-fried with holy basil, green beans, bell peppers, and onions in jalapeno sauce. It was served with fried rice that came in the shape of a heart and a Thai-style fried egg (crispy whites, soft yolk). The egg came with a lime-chili-soy dipping sauce, which provided a pleasant tanginess for the plate. The onions were fragrant and each bite was delicious. The green curry was also very good. It was served in a metal bowl with a candle underneath to keep the curry sauce warm. The steamed rice served with this dish came in the shape of a teddy bear. The green curry had an excellent sweet flavor from the coconut milk. I liked it so much that I drank the last few drops of curry directly out of the bowl. Service was excellent. The food came out lightning quick. Three different people attended to us throughout the night and I don't think we could have asked for better or more friendly servers. I look forward to returning here and trying more dishes. If this place continues to impress, I might have to upgrade it to five stars.

I love coming here for lunch. It's never too busy and they serve you quickly. I started with the Chicken Coconut soup- it has large mushrooms it with shavings of chicken. It was very smooth and delicate. A great start to my meal. My lunch as a soft shell crab salad- the crab was over fried so it was crunchier than I am used to. It came with red and green grapes, carrot shavings, and romaine salad with ginger dressing on the side. If they can get the crab right, it has lots of potential. My friends got the sushi- its great and fresh. Another friend got the combo: you pick a curry dish, sushi pieces or rolls, edamame and a salad. She loved it. Overall I love the different options for food, the fact that you can get a box with a little of each thing. I've also tried their Pad Thai which my friends agree is amazing here.

I think I have to give this 5 stars. I had one of the best Thai tea there. It is aromatic without tasting too strong. That was my first experience. Subsequent tries have been disappointing. The food, however, is so flavorful!! Started with the tom yuk that had the right amount of sour for me (I didn't roll the beef around in the sauce before putting it on cabbage). The duck was tender. It had crispy basil which was the most healthy light chips I've ever eaten. The fried rice we got was soft and had several different ingredients. The chef was very generous with the chicken. Lastly, the mango and sweet fried rice was perfect. They used champagne mangos, which are my favorite because they were soft, sweet, and not stringy at all. The rice had a coconut sauce that was not too sweet at all and was very aromatic. Our waitress is wonderful. She is so nice, friendly, and attentive, very hip and cool, too! There was plenty of parking in the back.

Ordered it on post mates. 5 items for $95. I would have been fine with all of it... They made it as spicy as we requested.. But... The little 10 dollar tom yum soup was teeny tiny. Like what??! Who do you think I am ?! LOL. It would have made all the diff. Appateciate the spicy.. But why the tiny soup? A soup this size, should be free.. Weird. A place like this obviously doesn't take into consideration what customers think. What a bust.

This place does not deserve one star. Wanted to visit this place because "Atlanta Eats" said it was great food. So I go in on December 3, 2018 for lunch. Was not to busy, I ordered the coconut soup and a sushi roll. What I remember - HORRIBLE SOUP! after to sips it tasted like someone urinated in it and as far as the Sushi roll, was not up to grade at all...! Service was not attentive and sloppy, waiter seemed to have known what kind of product he was serving me and did not care....hearing chatter and laughing in the back waiter/waitress area. Another disturbing thing that I witnessed was the Sushi Chef began sweeping the floor while I waited what bothered me was he actually looked like a latino dishwasher and not sure he washed his hands after sweeping! I have not been back since and do not plan ever setting foot in that place again!

This restaurant is definitely one of my new favorites on Roswell Road! I found this gem on Scoutmob and decided to give it a try (50% off up to $15 on your check). Boy am I glad we did! The service was spectacular. Someone always came around to refill our drinks before asking, which is also impressive. It was very clean too! Before seating us at the table, someone cleaned not only the table but scrubbed the booth seats as well! We had 3 sushi rolls in total which are listed below. They were all very large and extremely tasty. 1. Hurricane Roll (my personal favorite) 2. Rainbow Supreme Roll 3. Double Shrimp Roll It does get crowded on Fridays and Saturdays so you may want to grab your seat early! They have a sushi menu and a full Thai menu. The Pad Thai came around to the next table and I was drooling! It's located in a great spot right off of Roswell Road near 285. I will definitely be back to try another dish very soon and you should too!

This place has great lunch specials. They are all good and they come out quick, even when we come in with a big party at lunch time. My favorite is the fried tofu in any of the entrees.

2 1/2 stars because we came for the $10 lunch special and it was a pretty good deal. I ordered the chicken and shrimp pad Thai with the California rolls. The shrimp in the pad Thai were good but the noodles were way too oily. I couldn't even get through half of the noodles because of the taste. I didn't even bother complaining since it was only $10. Everything else was ok. Nothing special.

I got this food delivered to me and it was still hot and fresh and everything but overall i was highly disappointed with the quality of the food. Thai and Asian inspired foods are my favorite and i love to try new places around me but i was very disappointed in what i got. The Pad See Eew was extremely bland and the broccoli in it just seems like it was frozen from a bag. Everything was very disappointing.

This is one of the cozy casual Thai restaurants that I've been before. Walking in, the first thing you'll notice is the jasmine fragrance. It smells so good that I feel like I'm in a aromatherapy spa. The staffs are nice and attentive. They answer all questions you might have. They also serve sushi. I just didn't get a chance to order it today. We always wanted Thai food, and today is my birthday, so why not? We ordered Lemongrass Shrimp Salad "Pla Goong" for appertizer. It consists Glass noodle, peoper, karrir lime, shallots, cashews, cilantros tossed in a Thai spicy lime dressing served with cabbages. It's a little bit spicy and tangy, delicious salad if you like shrimps, glass noodles and tangy sauce. I have the special Spicy Thai Basil Eggplants served with minced chicken. Even if you don't like eggplants, you will still like this dish. It's simple but tasty with bell peppers, chicken, basil leaves, and eggplants. My husband ordered the beef green curry. It's okay actually, not as spicy as I expected but still decent with bamboo shoots, bell peppers, basil leaves, Thai eggplants. If you like spicy authentic green curry, this is probably not for you. Overall, this place is pretty to stop by for Thai food. I still recommend tho!

Scoutmob is on ... I think mainly for lunch. So jump on this deal! The ambiance, the food, and the service is wonderful! You will hate yourself for not trying it out! The place has a quiet and intimate setting. Our server was fast and courteous, and knows the perfect amount of "table visitation." He was not overwhelming, yet very very lovely and attentive at the same time. The food was delicious! Via scoutmob, hubby invited me for lunch and it was pretty much half off. Gratuity is instantly included, but the service was so great we added some more on top of that. Scoutmob honors the lunch combo special which came with either chicken coconut soup, miso soup, or garden salad with ginger dressing. Then, you also get a choice on either 4 pcs of sushi or three pcs of nigiri that comes with salmon, tuna, and white tuna. Then on top of that, you get to choose one out of six lunch entree that comes with a cup of jasmine rice. The selection for your entree included red curry, massaman curry, spicy basil, spicy basil thai style, panang curry, and pad thai. All curries and the spicy basil (both) can offer it in either chicken, beef, pork, or tofu. The plate also comes with a small side dish of fresh cucumber salad with imitation crab meat, mandarin, and tomatoes. THE SIDE ITEMS: Miso soup is simple and light. Nothing really to go crazy about, but delicious nevertheless. Garden salad with ginger dressing was too simple with lettuce, some tomatoes and shredded carrots, and although the ginger dressing was fresh,it had this overwhelming presence that took over the small plate. It also had some strong soy sauce-like taste, and I wasnt too big of a fan. The cucumber salad was vibrant and fresh. I do not eat cucumber (for the life of me, I dont know why,) but I took a couple of bites and I can vouch that any cucumber fans would love this side dish. It was like a bite of sunshine on a lovely spring afternoon. THE MAIN DISHES: Well, I ordered the nigiri and although it is not the main dish, I must say that this is the STAR of the show. The sushi chef deserves some kind of recognition. I must say that it is one of the most fresh, humble, yet refreshingly delicious nigiri I have had. The fish itself was sliced into perfection: not too little, yet not too thick to overwhelm the delicate sweetness of the small lump of joy that is the jasmine rice. There is a side of REAL wasabi, and I suggest to not even come close to using it all. IN short, just LOVELY! If you are not a sushi fan, I suggest to have your first try in raw fish in this establishment. The raw fish is not fishy at all - as a matter of fact, it is like buttered meat. It was awesome. I had the Massaman and although it was good, I must say I enjoyed hubby's spicy basil with chicken more. They give you an option on the spicyness of the food. The fire eater in me requested for the "true thai spicy" and boy, was I over my head. That thing is beyond fire! HOT HOT HOT and yummy! Although I had to sweat a few thousand calories in between and chugged down a few gallons of water along with some hail marys, I finished the whole dish, and was still very satisfied. SO - STEER CLEAR from the "true thai spicy" option, unless your tongue is five inches thick and numb on four sides. Haha. Otherwise, very delicious, and the spicy basil had that wimsical sweetness from the pepper. The portion on their lunch menu is at it should be. I doubt two people can share the meal. I have no doubt every inch of my meal was made with a touch of love and care, plus the fact that it was only 8 bucks PLUS the scout mob guarantees another 8 bucks on the house, you pretty much can have a cool and quiet, lovely lunch under 15 bucks. Take it from me, youre gonna wanna try this out.

Pretty darn good Thai food. Ordered the Tokyo fried rice, spicy basil chicken, spicy Thai basil (with chicken, sauce is very soup-y), and a sushi roll. Everything we ordered to go was AMAZING and THAI SPICY just the way we like it. Would definitely order out from here again. We will have to go there to actually eat at this establishment but to go food wise, it was on point

Sad to say this place has really fallen off. I grew up eating here and just picked up for the first time in several years as I don't live in Atlanta anymore. For one, they botched the order and forgot two items. I went back to pick them up and they insisted I never told them about one. So I paid for the "addition to the order" and wasnt even apologized to for the inconveniece of having to drive back to pick up these items. Then as far as the food quality, massive drop off. Dumplings were uncooked and inedible. Pad thai had very little taste. And the sushi wasnt very fresh. All in all very disappointing.

NOT a fan! Reason for rating: being overcharged and their pad Thai was nothing to write home about. PARKING Parking is terrible because it shares a lot with the other many restaurants in the area. The parking spaces are also kind of tight. SERVICE I did not feel welcomed. Walking in, I get it they are busy, but waiting to be seated and no host in sight for SEVERAL minutes was quite annoying especially when the other restaurant goers are gawking at you while you stand in the small entry way in front of the podium waiting to be seated. I just felt out of place. Also I noticed they don't always answer the phone. I felt sorry for whoever called back-to-back and the line just rang. No one answered it. When a host finally arrived, I was only offered bar seating even though there were tables available. I assume because I was dining solo they wanted to save the booth tables available for bigger parties. Why not at least offer me an available table? A group party even if it is just a party of two would have a more enjoyable time being seated at the bar, chatting it up and watching sushi being prepared than I did as a solo diner who felt out of place once again because the bar is situated by a high traffic walkway/aisle area and I was the only one seated there. I felt more in the way than an actual diner/customer. When the first person came to take my order she was very to the point: "HEY! You ready to order?" It kind of startled me. FOOD I've had better pad Thai. Because I took it to go, I didn't get a chance to try it at the restaurant. It definitely lacked salt and flavor. Very bland. 4-5 pieces of shrimp. When I first opened it I only saw two but the other pieces were buried deep inside the pad Thai. If a Thai restaurant can't get their pad Thai right, no reason for me to return. BEING OVERCHARGED Always check your receipt. The funny thing is I remember before trying this restaurant reading a review where someone mentioned being overcharged. *deep sigh* I fell victim to it also. On the menu it states $8.95 for lunch pad Thai. It is also assumed that meat is included in this price and if it wasn't that should be written in the menu AND explained by the waitress. Neither occurred. When it came time for the bill, because my card was already out and ready to be given, the waitress just stuck out her hand to accept the card WITHOUT bringing me the bill to look at and check first. [Mistake #1]. Once I received the receipt, I signed and left. Wasn't until I left that I realized my total was $12.88 for an $8.95 lunch pad Thai. I didn't order a drink or an appetizer and I know I got the lunch portion because my waitress offered soup or salad and I chose the coconut soup which was bland. Literally tasted like a can of coconut milk with mushrooms thrown in. :/ I am used to the coconut soup having some kick, spice and a hint of ginger among other seasonings but I digress. I had to wait until they reopened for dinner to call. The first time it rang until voicemail picked up. The second time someone answered on the third ring. I asked why was I charged $12.88 for lunch pad Thai which on the menu was written as $8.95. The lady who answered said did you order it with anything else and I responded "The meat option I ordered shrimp." She said "Oh lunch pad Thai is $9.00, chicken is included in that price but it's a $5.00 up charge for shrimp". Excuse me?!? A charge that is more than 50% of what the actual dish costs for meat option, which at all the previous Thai restaurants I have visited have been included in the base price, just doesn't make any sense. I damn near paid $1.00/per shrimp basically because I only received 4-5 pieces. O_o What bothers me most is that what she said STILL does not match up to $12.88 total? They are just making up prices at their own discretion. It needs to be clearly stated on the menu that shrimp comes with an up charge AND the waitress should have mentioned that I will be charged extra for the shrimp. Even the receipt doesn't show that shrimp is an upcharge. I have seen on receipts from other restaurants if you get EXTRA meat (not just ordering meat) they clearly show extra meat +$1.00 or something along those lines. Won't be returning and I DO NOT recommend.

My family and I have been coming to this place for years!! The owner and staff are always super friendly!! The pad thai and masaman are some of my favorite dishes!! Real authentic delish thai food! Highly recommend!

Came for the thai food and wasnt impressed. Interior vibe and servers were nice but service was also not very attentive. We got checked on once and didnt get water refills until the end of the meal. Food came out at a good time but both tasted sort of off and salty. Tried the pineapple fried rice $13, which didnt taste like traditional pineapple fried rice. The pineapple was fresh bur the meat tasted salty as if it was cooked separately and the rice was on the wet side. It just didnt come together. Tried the masaman curry with chicken $15 and that was better than the rice but also very salty. Felt a bit overpriced to me as well. Maybe we didnt try their specialities but neither of these plates were satisfying. Im curious to see if their sushi is better.. but i definitely dont recommend the thai food i tried above.

One of my favorite places in Atlanta for Thai food. The Pad See Ew with beef is delicious and comes with a good sized portion. On a Sunday evening, the restaurant was pretty busy. The staff was understaffed for the amount of customer but worked very hard to make sure we we happy customers. The atmosphere was a relaxed casual.

Lunch specials are awesome here. Parking - there is a huge lot. And another lot that is joined by this lot behind the Cafe. Space - I'd say medium. I personally got before lunch rush and it's empty. But it is fairly packed when I'm done around 12:30/12:45. Service - Solid service. But there is 1 guy during dinner that's kind of lazy. I asked for the Red Chili sauce, said they had none. I mean.. this is a Thai restaurant. I know that was the wrong answer. I asked another lady and she gladly dropped it off. That guy either was very new or just purely lazy to bring me the sauce. Food: Coconut Soup is good. Give lots of lunch and dinner. It's not watery at all. But the mushrooms they use are pretty huge. Pad Thai - Huge portions for lunch/dinner and they don't skimp on chicken! This dish is cooked very well. Noodles are great. I've had their bento box too for lunch.. great choice as well.

The Pad Thai was delicious and barely smelled bad, which is actually common in that dish at all Thai restaurants. The portion was small, but the ingredients were top notch. I might return to try the green curry because I can't seem to get it's flavor right at my house.
