My first time dining here, and I can see why my family raves about it! Got a very late reservation due to our procrastination, but the service was still friendly and attentive. My friend ordered the shrimp fra Diavlo in red, which the kitchen will make to your heat specification (it also comes in a white version for those that prefer. I ordered the eggplant parm with angel hair. Both came with soup or salad (though I forgot to grab a picture of them). House made Italian dressing for him, seafood bisque for me (for a small upcharge, totally worth it! ). Both were delicious! Fresh, warm, bread offered throughout the meal. Portions were huge! Mine enough for 2 more meals at home. I'm sad we didn't leave enough room for dessert, but certainly will the next time! Everything was great, and it made an otherwise blah Thursday night turn out wonderful! Thanks so much for your hospitality and delicious food...I'll definitely be back!

I've been visiting Agatina's for over 30 years. I was disappointed about five years ago when the quality of everything dipped. I didn't go back until now and was pleasantly surprised. The space looked updated, and the food was back to its original deliciousness. The service was great, and we enjoyed ourselves. I had Shrimp fra Diavlo with white sauce. I wish I had asked for medium or high heat, however, the pasta was quite flavorful. We also had calamari, and it was the best I have had in quite some time. I had a drink called Rochester Storm and it was pretty tasty. I'm giving Agatina's 9/10.

This is a year and a half too late, but was just reminiscing about our wedding day. We decided to “elope” and had our small reception with our close family here afterwards. The staff was incredibly helpful, from planning to executing! Food was amazing as always, with vegetarian/vegan/GF options for my family’s dietary restrictions. This will be our anniversary spot for years to come. Thank you for a wonderful experience for not only just dining here on date nights, but the most wonderful night of my life! ❤️

We had a rehearsal dinner party here. 25 people. They have a back room area sectioned off that kept your group together. 3 sections of long rectangle tables and a small table for gifts if needed. We had 8 people seated comfortably, one table with 9. The food and drinks kept flowing. Food was delicious. All left overs were wrapped and set aside for take home. Lots of wait staff and they took great care of us. They have a party menu package I picked the food a head of time. This is a great choice for a small party.

Our family has used Agatina’s for the past two years on Christmas Eve for catering our friends and family party. Rave reviews for all of the food! We chose the homemade meatballs (there were 20 and because they are so large we cut them in half and they were perfect for all of our guests!), chicken french bites, gnocchi, bacon wrapped scallops, chicken pastina soup, calamari, and rolls. Since the restaurant wasn’t open on December 24, we picked up the food cold on the 23rd and the restaurant provided reheating instructions for each dish. Food came out wonderful and our guests loved the selection!

The Christmas decorations were beautiful and we had a very nice table for our party of 3. Unfortunately, the waitress must have had a bad night as once our food arrived, we didn't see her or another server until the hostess offered us boxes to wrap up leftovers. The stuffed haddock was excellent but my friend's ziti was way over cooked and she could not stomach it. My other friend had eggplant parm and it was a huge portion, but it was cool and after a couple bites was too cold to enjoy. We asked to hostess to let the waitress know we had some issues. When the waitress came by, she just had excuses but no apology. The manager came by and apologized but again was not helpful. They removed the cost of the dinner as well as the drink that never came. We noticed 2 other tables near us of the 4 tables the waitress had ask for quicker food service and the other for the bill when the waitress finished with us. We probably will not return to Agatina's. The interaction with the staff really ruined the evening.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down the best Italian food we’ve ever had and most memorable meal in quite sometime. We recently ordered takeout for four and were blown away. Not only was everything incredible, but the portions were unbelievable — easily 10 meals worth of food. We actually looked forward to eating the leftovers, which says a lot! This is the first time we’ve tried this restaurant, even though we live close by, and our only regret is not discovering it sooner. This will absolutely be a new staple for us, and we already plan to use them for gatherings with friends and family. What we loved: Gnocchi – melt-in-your-mouth perfection Fettuccine Alfredo – creamy, rich, and exactly what Alfredo should be. Bliss and my favorite! Penne with sauce – perfect balance of flavor Meatballs – the best I’ve ever had, topped with delicious creamy ricotta cheese sauce Chicken French with greens – tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared Salad – the dressing alone is worth mentioning Cannoli – the perfect sweet finish If you’re looking for delicious Italian food with incredible value, look no further. We can’t wait to order again!

Monday 12/22 called at 4:30 to place a pickup order for 6:30 was told to call back at 6….called back at 5:45 and was told they were not taking anymore to go orders! I told them I was told to call back at this time they said oh well…. Not a good way to business during the Holiday season…. Bella Pasta was more than Happy to help my family out with our annual Christmas dinner

I lived in Rochester growing up from Elementary School thru college. Sad to say that since I lived closer to the thruway in Victor I never really had the chance to come here. Flew into town last night for the weekend, and my niece goes to Roberts Wesleyan so it was close and we found out that on Halloween it's never super busy. Parking lot there and even with the rainy weather it was wide open. Our server was Molly, and the person who greeted us and brought waters was also very friendly and professional. I'm going to point out that everyone here was super kind, helpful, and made us feel like we were royalty even though I'd never been here previously. We ordered drinks (I had the special sangria) and eventually ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc- Cupcake. Tasty! Starter was the artichoke hearts, a family and personal favorite. Lemon forward, buttery, hearts were large. I wish the bread came before so I could wipe my entire face with the lemon butter soaked slices like a psychopath. For entrees, my brother got the seafood provincial, my SIL got the Pasta platter, my niece got the seafood Alfredo, and I got the pesto fettuccini. I opted for the clam chowder side, someone got the chicken soup, and my bro got the salad with the homemade poppyseed dressing. All dishes looked and tasted phenomenal. Probably should not have opted for another warm bread basket but my pasta had so much sauce it was helpful to the dishwasher since my plate was so clean. Passed on coffee and dessert. However, I saw the dessert tray walking out and I was immediately regretful. I'm a diabetic and I would've risked my blood sugar for some of that cheesecake I spotted with the graham cracker crust! All in all, a good family meal. Apologies for some of the photos because I started eating before I remembered to take a pic. Support small businesses! Service is still super slow... we ordered chicken french which is super yummy! I highly recommend to try it. Bacon wrapped scallops was delish! Meatballs for apps was so so... they were hard and rubbery. My partner got bolognese and he said it was too heavy and greasy. The service from our waitress was good. She was attentive. The kitchen is really slow, there were ton of patron waiting on food around us. Especially the ones that had little ones with them. I was hoping they have improved. Wish them the best!

Came here for a family birthday dinner. Cute cozy atmosphere. Our server was pleasant and attentive, checking in with our table often. Our meals came out very beautifully plated and were delicious. Definitely will be a return visit in the future.

We had a great dinner here last night with my mom. We had dined here once before and with the expansive menu, knew we needed to come back. The restaurant is easy to find and has lots of parking. The entryway is accessible and seating is possible for someone is a wheelchair, but the bar area and bathrooms are very tight. Reservations are recommended. We had a reservation for four at 6pm. They would not seat us until all 4 of us were at the restaurant. My brother ended up canceling so 3 of us were able to be seated at 6. Our server Kim was friendly and very efficient. She had several tables including a party of 12. We did not feel neglected. We ordered an appetizer, clams casino, and received 8 small but delicious clams! Salads and soup came out right after. We love their house-made dressings and my mom loved the creamy NE clam chowder. The bread is also delicious with real butter on the table. Extra baskets of bread do incur an additional fee according to the menu. And every table had a pitcher of water. Dinners were timed well. My mom loved her stuffed haddock and ate it all (she usually takes some food home) - she loved the stuffing! My Haddock French was cooked perfectly, the escarole was bright green and fresh. I do think the sauce was a bit salty and my baked potato was a bit overdone (see photo) but not terrible enough to send back. My husband enjoyed his Cioppino in a white sauce but also thought it was a bit salty. We were all full from our meals but could not pass up something from the dessert tray. Several of the desserts are made in house. We ordered some to go. We would definitely return here for another meal as there are more items on the menu we'd like to try, the staff are friendly, and it was a comfortable environment.

This is my hands down favorite Italian Date night restaurant in Rochester. This restaurant is timeless to me. By that I mean that it is Cozy and Romantic. Perfect date night atmosphere. Perfect for families, with children who are well behaved. On top of it all, it's the cozy neighborhood bar. I'm not sure how they pull all this off but they do, and they do it really well. Staff is top of the line. I have never had bad service, never ok service. Always! Excellent customer service. My Father is one picky Italian and when he is in town, this is our go to spot! I do recommend making a reservation, they get very busy, very fast.

Went here with a party of nine. Service from the get go was very nice and fast. Everything came out pretty quick and perfect. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. I had the chicken Kathleen. It was a good servicing size and absolutely delicious. Everyone who had the chicken French raved about it. All in all a great place

Revisited Agatina's after many years with a friend. We were warmly received and promptly seated at our table. It's one of the nicer family Italian restaurants in the area. Pinot Grigio & Prosecco were our drink choices. A basket of warm bread and butter to start. Appetizer: Calamari is nicely coated, crispy and a homemade stewed tomato sauce is really nice. We devour it. Halibut Scampi & Chicken Marsala were the main dishes. My friend loved her fish dish. The chicken was generously covered by the savory Marsala sauce and the mushrooms. I opted out of pasta and got a big baked potato, soft and dressed with butter and sour cream just perfect. , for dessert, we shared the Lemon Marscapone Cake, light and slightly sour. Espresso to finish The service was excellent and attentive.

Imagine having a reservation for two at 5:15 and leaving at 6:40 without ever getting your entree and complaining to the hostess who tells you "if you don't like the service next time go to MacDonalds." This is the awful experience we had Saturday evening. Never again!

So we went to Agatinas in Gates for dinner tonight. It has been quite sometime since we've been there. The place was crowded and loud. But we managed to get a table in the corner so that was good and after we were seated one of the bussers brought us our waters and then the waitress came to the table and took our drink and appetizer orders. Our waitress was quite friendly and our service was good. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana with a side of pasta the pasta and sauce were good the eggplant was okay. I'm not used to baked eggplant. I like it crispy but at least it wasn't soggy. And my significant other got the fish and the scallops wrapped in bacon. The scallops he said were excellent his fish was okay too. Then we got dessert which was the chocolate funnel cake so that was a nice ending to the meal. So the ambiance was rather loud and the food was okay but the service, appetizers and dessert were great.

Came here for the first time while visiting my parents. Took them out for a bday celebration. Courtney was our waitress and she was awesome along with all the staff. Ambience was very nice but inviting and comfortable. Portions were ample, and as a result, we probably ordered one too many appetizers...but they all sounded and tasted so good The seafood feast was a good size portion. Mom's eggplant parm looked incredible and was layered about 2" thick. The fettuccini Alfredo was creamy, not too salty and enough for two. And thank you for the birthday cannoli! The cheesecake was excellent and like most dishes, enough for two.

Something is going on the Agatina's This was one of the only really good Italian restaurants on the Westside. Some items are great artichoke French, calamari and desserts. I got takeout a week ago that was not cooked It's a lot of money for take and bake entrees. Ordered Seafood dish that was supposed to have lobster in the dish It cost was $50 and clearly had white fish not lobster. When brought to the attention of the waitress twice nothing was offered to make it better and no acknowledgement of the issue. We believe in supporting local businesses but it's becoming difficult to continue to support establishments that are not providing a quality consistent experience.

Always an excellent experience at Agatina's. Ample parking and friendly, quick service. I love the tomato sauce and their creamy garlic Italian salad dressing. This visit, my friend and I split one of the Tuesday specials as an appetizer: ravioli french. I was very happy we did as it was fantastic.

We had a lovely birthday dinner celebration at Agatina's we chose this restaurant for the versatility of all the dinner options especially seafood. It was very busy this night but we had reservations and they seated us right away at a confortable round table. Even though it was busy the atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. They had plenty of staff providing service to our table. We enjoyed the cheesy bread and greens and beans as appetizer. Entrees included homemade pasta platter (gnocchi, manicotti, and lasagna and meatball) pasta primavera in a marinara sauce. Seafood feast which was delicious and covered all the craving for lobster scallops shrimp clams ,angel hair pasta with marinara sauce and fried calamari as an entree which was so tender and perfectly seasoned. I did take pictures however my family is featured in them so I didn't post them. I highly recommend Agatinas and they also have a perfected the takeout system.

Delicious! Delicious! chose a daily special! everything sooooooo good. Staff was very busy yet attentive.

We had a very short wait with reservations as the place was packed on a Saturday evening We didn't mind as we enjoyed getting drinks at the bar. It does appear that they were back to full capacity but with masks required if you weren't at your table. We started with spicy calamari which was quite different than elsewhere. It was in an olive oil sauce with peppers, not deep fried, and very tasty. We followed with soup/salad and a reminder to myself for next time to ask for the dressing on the side. There was a very long wait for the entrées attributed to the kitchen being backed up. We enjoyed part of each when they finally arrived and had plenty to take home. Veal saltimbocca and chicken Marsala were excellent. We hope they can return the kitchen staffing to keep up with the dining rooms which seemed to be back to adequate help.

On a visit home to the Rochester area, a friend recommended Agatina's for dinner. I arrived early after landing in town with my elderly mother and her friend. We were quite early and expected to sit and have drinks and appetizers while we awaited a 4th member of our party to arrive. We were told by the hostess that we would have to wait until the whole party was present. Now mind you, my two companions were over 90 years of age, and the restaurant was empty. I asked to talk to a manager, who allowed us to be seated after looking more than a little irritated and making it clear to us that the normal policy was being violated. Upon being seated, I watched as two waitresses chatted with one another as we waited 15 minutes for them to take our drink orders. I wonder...when it comes to a restaurant's policies and its adherence to them ...is there no room for common sense or common decency anymore? With a large, empty dining room is it customary to ask 90-year olds to sit on a hard bench for 45 minutes instead of ordering appetizers and a glass of wine while they wait? As to the food, it wasn't bad, 3/4 of us like our meal. But with customer service like this, there will never be a need to return to Agatina's. Rochester has plenty of competition.

Everything was amazing! Reservations are definitely recommended. I had the Chicken French and it was delicious. Will definitely be back!

We dined at Agatina's with another couple, based on their recommendation and enjoyable past experiences. The staff were superb, and the menu selection and food was very authentic and great. Service was very slow. Dirty martini was undrinkable. The food was okay but overpriced.

Agatina's never disappoints. They have a nice variety of options on their menu and they are all good. Prices are reasonable and portions are huge.

Agatina's has a food truck! It was at Spencerport Canal Days. I had Chicken French bites! Why have I never thought of this? You get to soak up way more juice with the bites and the juice is the part I love!

Best Italian food in Rochester! Nice team that works together well. Dining rooms are very clean. Clams over linguini was delicious. Meatballs!!! Yummy. Artichokes French over angel hair was so delicious .. very light. Good portions.

Had the chicken French thru door dash. It was amazing!! Came with baked potato and salad. Will order again.

Having been here a number of times I was really surprised this time. There was just so much wrong from burnt garlic bread, some sweet Italian dressing, meatballs that were so dense we could have played hand ball with them, to the finally of frozen dessert and it wasn't ice cream. Won't be going back, sadly it just wasn't the same. Btw: they request you observe a 90minute table time limit which of course is going to depend on how long it takes to be served your full meal.

Support local. Ordered take out for dinner. For appetizers ordered Calamari Reggio and broccoli French. Both were delicious. Dinner was chicken and broccoli Alfredo which was plenty enough to share and then have left overs. Curbside delivery was quick and food was hot. Check restaurants Facebook as they run specials everyday.

There are no words. I am currently seated at your restaurant with my fiancé, my son, and my 3 year old grandson (who should be home in the tub right now!). Our reservation was at 5:30 (there was a reason for that!) and we are still waiting for our food at 7:00. We waited 20 minutes before anyone even came to our table to take our drink orders and that was only after my son sought someone out! There are no excuses as I see EVERYONE around us being served. We will never be back and you can be sure I will make sure everyone I know finds out about our experience. Still waiting for the limes for our drinks. This is exactly why I go to Pasta Villa! Never again!

We came from out of town and had dinner here upon the recommendation of friends. The table shared bruschetta and meatballs, and both were delicious. I had Caesar salad, it was ok, too much dressing for me and lots of cheese. I ordered veal parmagiana, it was fantastic. Tender veal cutlets, lovely tomato sauce and just the right amount of cheese. The portion was huge. He took the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, which he did not like. The sauce was flavorless, and he thought the chicken was leftover, and dry.

First time ever at this place but certainly will not be the last! Blown away by every food item the 7 of us ordered! And Jennie our server was beyond amazing! Can't wait to go back!

Food & service is always good never had a bad meal here. You want good Italian food this is the place to visit.

First time there, really nice set up. Bars right there when you first walk in. Bartender was really friendly and helpful I asked if they had anything gluten free and she brought me a menu. I was waiting for the rest of my party to get there so I was just looking at the menu. The rest of my party showed up and we sat in the dining room. Ordered some drinks and then our food. Service was great for the most part. But it took a long time for our main meal to come out. Food was delicious so that made up for it, first restaurant I've been to that had outstanding gluten free dinner rolls and my meal was really good. I'm glad we came here great Choice definitely recommend trying it out if you haven't been before.

Stopped in for dinner with friends - last minute. We sat at the bar (which I actually prefer sometimes as the service is a bit faster). I've been to Agatina's many times over the years. The food there never disappoints. I've had the gnocchi, chicken and broccoli, veal parm and chicken parm and ever meal is delicious! Last week I had chicken french with angel hair pasta. As always.... tasty! I ordered the small portion and still had left overs for lunch the next day. If you go early there's no wait, no crowd. By the time we left at 7pm (on a Tuesday) the tables were full and people were waiting. There's a full (but small) bar so have a cocktail while you wait! Servers and staff are always friendly.

Can't complain about food service or ambiance because I cannot even get a reservation. Have called two days in a row and 5 times got a recording to call back later and to NOT leave a message. You couldn't leave a message if you wanted to because the recording then says that the inbox is full. And twice the phone was answered, but I was hung-up on. I wanted a table for 8 on Saturday night but couldn't take a chance on waiting another day to see if I could possibly get through and decided to call the Brook House. They answered on the first ring and 30 seconds later had my reservation. I don't know if they are short staffed or what, but very frustrating.

I would definitely recommend having a reservation if you don't want a 45-1 hour wait. The meals were great and the perfect portions. Meals come with a house salad. The chicken Parmesan and broiled haddock were our meals of choice. The bathrooms were not clean unfortunately.

Always delicious Italian food. They have a limit to time you can stay at your table which means this is no longer a good place to meet friends and chat.

I really, really wanted to like this restaurant! A friend recently recommended them (true story - I have a running list of restaurants to try that I keep adding to from word of mouth), and even said they rivaled our current favorite Italian restaurant in Rochester. So, we came here just a few days later excited for a new spot! Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. I got the gnocchi which was pretty good (and clearly homemade). However, my boyfriend got chicken Alfredo and the chicken was very clearly raw. He took 1 bite and spit it out because said it was sour and cold. We told our waitress who very promptly took the whole plate back and "warmed it back up." She brought it back, he inspected, and it was still raw (we cut a slice to show her it was both pink and slimy on the inside). We told the waitress who did take it off the bill, but that was pretty gross considering he ate the rest of his pasta. Next, when we ordered, our waitress made it seem soup and salad came with the meals (she had said "soup and salad?" when we ordered, to which I said "it comes with both?" And she distinctly said yes). When we got our bill, the Alfredo was removed but she charged us $5 for each soup AND salad ($20 total). I asked her about this, and referenced how I had specifically asked her when ordering if it came with both. She replied by saying "oh well I usually clarify but must have been rushed." That doesn't exactly seem like that is my problem. She eventually removed one cup of soup, but tried to argue with me about how she technically gave us a larger soup so should've actually charged us more (?). I actually was bothered even more with how she responded in that way. Overall, I don't think we'll be back, and I'm removing it from my restaurant list. It quite literally left a bad taste in our mouth!

We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. It was not crowded that evening. The staff was friendly and our server was also friendly & attentive. The food is reasonably priced & the serving size is large. I had the Homemade Pasta Platter & my wife had lasagna. Both meals were very good. We were served chicken soup 1st & it was very good. The salad was served 2nd & was standard Faire. We were served Italian bread before the meal. They also have a full bar, nice selection of wines & a decent selection of beers. This is a real Italian restaurant. We will be back.

Always been a very consistent place. One of my favorite items there is something you will truly never find anywhere else - Seafood Fra Diavalo with a white sauce. It's really misleading because when I think of white sauce, I think Alfredo or a cream sauce... this is a very unique broth-like sauce. I always order it hot!! It's a rare occasion I get back up this way, so it is a must-have when I do. It's a dish I crave often and once I get it, it never disappoints! UPDATE - if like me, you love Agatina's sauces, you can call and order by the quart!!

This place is so special! I had the breaded fish fry and it was spectacular. I thought it would be challenging to get in on a Friday night and I was welcomed and they just moved everything along so nicely. Relaxed, welcoming and absolutely delicious, fresh and lovingly prepared food.

Great Italian food! Would love to go back and try more dishes. Appetizer : steamed clams with butter and lemon juice. Simple and delicious. One order wasn't enough for two people. Had to get two. Soup: homemade chicken soup was well made. Entrees : chicken Asiago was juicy. Chicken and vegetables were perfectly soaked in sauce. Two chicken thighs portions were very filling. Chicken jambalaya with linguini with mild spiciness . Overall wonderful dish. Spiciness was at a perfect mild level. The sauce was oily. Still tasted great. Noodles : Had Angel hair Noodles in marinara sauce. Noodles were tasty and on the softer side. Sauce had well balanced acidity. Service : the staff was friendly and professional. Brought refills of drinks very quickly. I appreciated them keeping us updated on when food was arriving frequently.

I walked in on a Saturday evening (2/8/20) expecting to wait a while. Restaurant was full, which is definitely a good indicator of how the food tastes. Grabbed menus while we waited. Got added to the "List" and after an hour, we got seated. We placed our orders immediately, snacked on bread (which was delicious), and enjoyed a nice conversation with one another. Our drinks came... even better! Time went by...More time went by. After one hour and 20 minutes after we ordered, our food arrived! After such a long wait, we hoped that the food would be great but, one of the dishes was cold. We asked for the check and took off as soon as we could. I really wanted to love this place.

Went in at 5pm and was told that we couldn't be seated to 7:45pm because they were booked. They offered us a table in the bar area instead. This was fine with us. We were then sat and a server was helping all the other tables around us for about 10 minutes before the bartender came out and said she would be helping us and took our orders. Drink and food service was so slow we normally have 2 drinks per meal but I refused to get another and spend the money after the slow service. Food was ok, food order was messed up but no one came back over so couldn't have it fixed. We had people waiting to be seated bumping up against our table and us because frankly the table shouldn't be there but we had no idea when offered it. Seems like a money grab to shove as many tables as you can in a restaurant. Probably won't be back.

I have heard of and driven past Agatina's more times than I can count. They are, if not a fixture of the Italian American community then certainly a very well known and familiar place for a meal. Though familiar with it by reputation, I never had the opportunity to go until a recent rehearsal dinner for a wedding I was in and I as excited to finally get to try it! The first thing you should keep in mind for this review is that the food was being brought out for a good 60 or 70 people, so we should probably be a bit forgiving. There were 3 appetizers, meatballs in an unknown grey gravy, clams casino and stuffed mushrooms. The clams were tiny, like tiny tiny. The meatballs and mystery sauce were ok, though the unknown sauce was kind of unnerving. Last up stuffed mushrooms, they used a sausage stuffing that while a little dry it was pretty tasty. Maybe put a little red sauce on them? For drinks there was some wine, Pepsi and diet Pepsi and water. There was also a champagne toast but that was not self serve. I tried to get pepsi twice only to find that both pitchers were filled with diet. Even though one was labeled normal each time! This is a high sin for me, I detest the flavor of diet soda. *Gag* As more and more people filed in, it became clear that the wedding party and restaurant booked way too many people, in way too small of a room. I don't know if we blame the wedding party or the venue but I'm leaning toward the venue, they should know their space. Who knows, may they were honest and said we just can't take that many people and the wedding party insisted. Either way, it made the room hot, loud, and you felt packed in like sardines. Not an environment conducive to a enjoyable meal. So after we have all had some known and unknown appetizers (what kind of gravy is grey? Mushroom??) we were all seated, we got a bowl of Italian Wedding Soup, it was ok, no complaints. We also had a salad I believe and there was also the always reliable bread and butter, though they were skimpy with the butter and it was packets, which if fine but you DO loose class points. *shrug* Last up was 3 large family style servings of food. A bowl of penne with red sauce, super boring and over sauced for me. Chicken French, a dish I don't personally like. And lastly Eggplant Parmesan. Agatina's is know for this dish, I was not impressed and had almost nothing for dinner. All in all, I dunno if we got lower end food because it was being served to so many people or if this former Rochester gem has lost its luster. I do know I would be careful about how many people you try to cram into that back room for formal events!

I heard this place had good food, and perhaps at one time it very well may have. That time, however, does not appear to be the present. My first clue, when me, my wife, and son sat down was the body language/behavior/demeanor of the servers. They seemed.... overly wary or nervous, perhaps? They flocked and milled rapidly around each other, scanning deeply into the dark recesses of the place, not unlike a small flock of frequently-hunted birds, or something like that. Covey of extra-alert quail, maybe. Almost like they were used to, and/or expecting explosive customer complaints. Enough about them. The food: My wife's Veal Oscar tasted flavorless as far as the meat goes, and the sauce was just off. Burnt, overcooked baked potato. I had the mini surf & turf, and it was a poor, tiny, VERY deceased lobster tail that was more crayfish-sized. The filet mignon was more medium well than the medium rare I had requested. Not only did it appear to be smaller than the listed 4 ounces, but it was borderline MANGLED, as well. Almost like it was a chunk of flesh ripped off a zebra's posterior by a honey badger. Now, the BEST part: The prices on the menu were different than what was on the actual tab. As in, like four dollars MORE, for my entree. Believe me, that came out of the tip, QUICK. I asked our server why this was so. I won't give what her reply was, because there's really no excuse, anyways. I talked to the head server, I believe is who she was, about this, and she apologized, saying that our server should have mentioned the price difference off the get-go, and that there was a sign on one of the doors outside stating something about price differences. Nice to know, but not my job to do extra research when I sit down to a menu. In summary? Yet another one of many post-Covid restaurant casualties. So many have gone downhill, and you're paying more for less. Skip this place and go somewhere else.

Lives in Rochester for decades. Pasta Villa was my go to and probably still is for sentimental reasons. Agatina's though was great Italian food. Went with 5 others. We were all very happy. Excellent service, too

Food was only ok to good. The rest was worse- was on time for our reservation and wouldn't seat us at 6:03pm for 6 pm reservation, they wanted us to sit at the bar. I get it $$$ Then my wife and I shared an eggplant parmesan. It's cut like a slice of lasagna with an extra empty plate and charged 8 dollars for splitting- and we had shared two appetizers. Mind you we bought cocktails and an $80 bottle of wine. Will never go back.
