My experience at The Combine has been consistently negative across four separate visits. This establishment fails to deliver on quality, value, or service. With poor food preparation and high pricing for average fare, there is no compelling reason to eat here. Save your money and time, and visit the many better options nearby.
The biggest red flag is the kitchen's lack of consistency. On separate occasions, both the pizza and the wings I ordered arrived undercooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen.
If you decide to risk eating here, be warned: Check your pizza's center! It may be undercooked and doughy.
The menu itself offers nothing unique or standout. It’s just basic, average fare that doesn't justify the prices charged or a repeat visit.
The Combine is severely overpriced for the quality provided. We noted several instances where the menu had incorrect or missing prices, which is a basic operational oversight that can frustrate customers. The sandwich portions felt small given the cost.
The alcohol prices are particularly high compared to competitive bars in the nearby Martini Corner area, which offers a full dining and vibrant nightlife experience with better overall value.
The location is a notable deterrent. Parking is limited to street spots, and I have safety concerns about the neighborhood after dark. I would eat there for lunch but definitely not in the evening.
There are better places with superior food quality, fairer pricing, and safer locations just blocks away in the Martini Corner area. The Combine simply cannot compete. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
While you may see many positive reviews online, I would imagine a fair number come from residents of the building who find it convenient to have a restaurant on-site. Based on my experiences as an external visitor—I have been four times and had issues every single time—the reality for the average customer is very different.
