We celebrated my son’s completion of boot camp at The Animal Farm and it was absolutely amazing! We had appetizers and lunch and everything was delicious. Chicken fried chicken was the best I’ve ever had! Crab dip was phenomenal. Staff were so sweet and offered hearty congratulations to our new soldier. This is a great place and we will be back!

I liked the name of the restaurant and when I looked online, I liked the menu. We didn’t have to wait for a table by the window. James was our waitstaff. He came over immediately with waters and asked if we’d like anything else to drink. He left us with menus and specials of the day. I wanted to get something I wouldn’t get at home. So I ordered from the 10/8/25 specials menu: the TURKEY BRIE SAMMY (oven roasted turkey, toasted white bread, housemade cranberry jam, pears, arugula, brie, dijon mayo). It came with a side so I ordered tater tots. Husband ordered the wedge salad with just lettuce, bacon bits and ranch dressing. Our food was delicious! I shared my tots with Husband who loved them as much as I did. He didn’t finish his wedge. It was huge! We ordered a peanut butter pie to split. It was the best we have had in a long time! We hope to return in the future for the wonderful food, atmosphere and service.

Very cool old school atmosphere, that’s always a plus to me. The Harlot burger was great, as were the fries. My wife had the “Sammy” and enjoyed it as well. Seats are not super comfortable and it is an overall cramped environment - but still a solid 4 star overall experience. For anyone seeing the menu on google thinking chicken and waffles - that’s Saturday brunch only apparently, which is info I wish we had prior so I’m sharing it.

Google
OMGEEEEE! I don’t give 5 stars but this was earned and well deserved! Party of 6. Shamri, our server, was AMAZING! Attentive and a complete joy! We all ordered different meals and everything was exactly what we ordered, perfectly prepared, all presented at the same time and DELICIOUS! Our outside setting was perfect with fans and umbrellas. Highest of recommendations! Go! Eat! Enjoy! You will not be disappointed!

Google
This is a great restaurant! I highly recommend checking it out if you're in Columbus, GA. They have a great selection of food and a good cocktail menu to boot. The shrimp and grits as well as the red snapper are both excellent. Also the bread and butter is a great starter to pair with your main. The butter and bread is homemade, and delicious. Also they have a seasonal range of cocktails and food, so everytime you visit there is something new to try. They also have an excellent cocktail menu which is always changing. Give the place a try and you won't regret it!

Google
Five Stars for Joseph and an Unforgettable Meal! From the moment we sat down, Joseph made our dining experience truly exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His recommendations were spot-on, and his genuine enthusiasm made us feel right at home. The fried Brussels sprouts were out of this world—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and bursting with flavor. I’ve never tasted anything like them! The Harlots Burger was equally impressive: juicy, perfectly cooked, and stacked with fresh toppings that complemented every bite. To top it all off, the Boo Thang drink was the perfect blend of refreshing and unique, making it the ideal pairing for my meal. If you’re looking for outstanding service and unforgettable food, ask for Joseph and don’t miss these menu highlights. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Decided to try this place today and its a hard No for me. We had what was supposed to be the bourbon peach cobbler chicken and waffles and lamb burger with tots. The lamb burger was amazing but the the other dish was a no. The peaches were overcooked like it was prepared for preserves and a few biscuits. I really couldn't distinguish what type of fruit it was. The waffle was flat, no fluff, and the chicken was overcrusted and under seasoned for me. To each's own but I left disappointed and hungry.

Stopped by Columbus on our way home and this had great reviews! We were not disappointed with the quality and service. The foot was exceptional.

Yelp
Day 2 in Columbus GA and we decided to try out The Animal Farm. We got there at a perfect time. The staff were excellent. I loved the atmosphere. It was bright and wasn't crazy loud which I loved since this was our first meal with our soldier. Their menu has something for everyone. I decided to go with Pigs in a Blanket for the appetizer (so so good!) and the Butternut Squash Pasta. We also got the Chicken Sammie and Chicken Fried Chicken. The Pigs in a Blanket was right up my alley. Puff pastry with spicy sausage, maple mustard aioli and berry conserva so delicious. It's an acquired taste. Two of us loved it and the other two were like uh....ok. The flavors all together were "chef's kiss". My butternut squash pasta was amazing. So flavorful and cooked to perfection. I had enough left for dinner that night as well. So yummy! The Chicken Sammie is HUGE so had an appetite. The chicken fried chicken portion is huge as well. We had tons of food to take home. So far it's been my favorite meal during our stay!!!!!

Yelp
Got a table on the back patio after about a ten minute wait for 5 people on a Friday afternoon. Staff was friendly and helpful! Loved the jalapeños in the watermelon salad, it was very balanced and I loved every bite.

Yelp
After made trip to Atlanta Airport and back to Columbus Georgia for one more night. Daughter have been to Animal Farm and wanted to go there again. Nice atmosphere. I ordered tomato soup with grilled cheese. It was good. My daughter ordered fish taco. She said it was good. Friend ordered fried chicken with green collards. He said it was very good. Nice atmosphere. Thank you for nice hospitality

Yelp
This is probably the BEST place to eat in Columbus, GA. Food here is always spot on and the service and drinks are both always delicious. Everything is made fresh and I've honestly never been disappointed in a meal or a drink here. Ambiance is very family style/family restaurant feeling. I've tried the spicy garlic shrimp and their chicken appetizer and many of their cocktails and beers. All have been amazing. I took my partner here for his birthday and they did everything they could to make his birthday amazing, which was so sweet. Also their happy hour is short but great! Highly recommend Animal Farm!

Monica B.

Yelp
The watermelon salad was amazing! The espresso martini was on point! Everyone was extremely happy with their meals. I wish you had a location in Tucson, AZ

Yelp
Delicious! A small menu with just the right amount of unique entree options. Customer service was fantastic and the Asian crunch salad was amazing. The space matches the menu as it is small and I would highly suggest a reservation if you are going during dinner time. I have lived here for years and wish I discovered The Animal Farm when they first opened. Looking forward to trying more of their wonderful menu! This is a great spot for a nice meal.

Yelp
Came to the Animal Farm with high expectations as it had been recommended at a few of the best restaurants that I had dined at in Columbus. The restaurant is small, but with a nice warm atmosphere. I had the Grilled Redfish along with an additional side of the "roasted veggies" and the cucumber salad. The fish was delicious, with a perfect crust. The vegetables were also great as was the cucumber salad. Seeing as I had fish and vegetables, I allowed myself to cheat, and had the banana pudding for dessert. Probably one of the best banana puddings I've had, the whipped texture really seemed to enhance the flavor. The staff were great, they all seemed enthusiastic about the food they served. You could definitely tell that the team in the kitchen cared about the quality of the food they put out. I'll definitely visit again on my next trip to Columbus.

Yelp
My husband and our friends love going for brunch. Always great food, drinks, and service!

Yelp
Everything was absolutely amazing! There was a short wait, but totally worth it -- the food was delicious!!! We passed the time at the bar chatting with the friendly bartender and enjoying some fantastic drinks: the What's Up Doc, Old Fashioned, Bloody Mary, and a Prosecco -- all excellent! Once seated, our server Bryan took great care of us. He was attentive, knew the menu inside and out, and gave spot-on recommendations. The food was incredible from start to finish. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!

Yelp
We began with the whipped feta appetizer. It was the best thing we had and that is saying a lot as the food was very good as well. I had the burger and my daughter had the gabagool sammie (basically their take on an italian). The burger was good. It was basically a smash burger and I loved the way the mustard and onions complimented the burger. It was very tasty. I had the house potato salad with it and that was good as well. It was simple with dill and citrus. The gabagool was good as well. It was hearty with a great olive flavor. Devon was our server and he was fantastic. Attentive without being intrusive. The food took a little long coming out but I don't think that is normal. They were apologetic without me complaining. The atmosphere is quaint and intimate. This is a great spot.

Yelp
While I've often heard various nutritional pundits espouse the benefits of a "balanced diet", I can't say that I've ever understood what changes they actually wanted me to make to my diet. Thankfully, I think that I accidentally discovered an example of what they would recommend find its way to my plate while on this visit to the South. While visiting Columbus, Georgia, our Review Team decided to experience "The Animal Farm". I ordered their "Chicken Fried Chicken" which included collard greens, mashed potatoes, and sweet tea. I rhetorically ask you, what meal could be more Southern and balanced than this one? ‍ What's more, and in an effort to pursue the most "balanced diet" possible, we also sampled the "Deviled Eggs", "House Pimento Cheese", and the "Banana Pudding." (Obviously our commitment to this endeavor is a serious one considering that we dutifully explored all of the most viable options in the name of modern science. ) While there were many quality conclusions reached by our Review Team, my favorite praised the presentation of the Deviled Eggs and his appreciation for "how the sesame seeds and cracked pepper really enhanced their favor." If you're searching for a dinner experience that "balances" really good food with really friendly service, "The Animal Farm" just may be for you. And that's...Henry's Take. #balanceddiet #theanimalfarm

Yelp
Excellent food and service. We enjoyed a delicious brunch. Biscuits, chicken Sammy, chicken salad, and heirloom BLT - all winners. Best service - our waiter was "all in" and he made the experience even better. We cannot wait to return.

Yelp
A super cute and creative restaurant located right in downtown. Their burger is absolutely delicious with some cute cocktails and drinks available. They also have a nice variety of small bites if you just want to pop in for drinks and apps

Yelp
Came here for a holiday husband made a reservation when we showed up we were seated in the middle small table so it was a little awkward ordered couple alcohol. Drinks won't be in an old-fashioned. Old fashion was very small had no flavor and definitely was not prepared correctly. The deviled egg appetizer is less than to be desired. You can tell they made them weigh in advance due to the rubber Yordenis of the egg white, and there was literally no flavor at all on the app . The hot crab dip appetizer was very good. Would order that one again the shrimp and grits had no flavor as you can see in the photo. It's just a bunch of grease. Was not impressed at all actually felt very sick after eating it . The beef pasta is a small portion for the price and really had no flavor needed a lot of salt and pepper to make it edible. The banana pudding was definitely a star of the dish. Great flavor depth you could tell it was made correctly. Probably would only come to this establishment for the banana pudding.

Yelp
Stopped by The Animal Farm on a Saturday after working up an appetite hiking the Providence Canyon State Park. Definitely make a reservation before going. We were there at 4:45 PM and walked in as soon as they opened but they were booked inside. Luckily, they had outdoor seating, which we actually preferred. Better vibes and music! Happy hour is from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM. #Winning so we started off with a round of French 45 thanks to our waitress Andreas suggestion. And had the boiled peanuts, pigs in blanket, and deviled eggs for appetizers. They were all pretty good. For our entrees, I went with the Harlot Burger and tots based on a Yelp recommendation and it did not disappoint. My friends had the Pork Belly Sammy and Chicken Salad BLT. They were all very satisfied! I ended my dinner with an old fashioned before happy hour ended. Heads up, they don't add the black cherry. Other than that, The Animal Farm definitely was a nice way to end our day trip. Our food and waitress were both top tier.

Yelp
Every single aspect of this experience was exceptional. Quality fresh local ingredients highlighted the food and service was second to none. Every bite was delicious. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly.

Yelp
The food portions are massive. The selection was very creative and they looked appetizing. The service was quick and friendly and the ambience was amazing hundreds of inspirational messages located all around the restaurant.

Yelp
We stopped in for brunch. Again this is in Columbus Georgia so it seems all the restaurants in town are old brick buildings....definitely love the look and this place was very cozy! This is the first time I ever had a pasta breakfast and I really enjoyed it. It had a creamy pesto sauce with penne pasta and an egg with mushrooms and asparagus. Very good and different. My husband had biscuits and gravy, my son, the breakfast sammy. My daughter in law had chicken and waffles. It took a bit of time for us to get our food due to a huge table of people so the manager offered a starter because we had been waiting and he offered without us saying a word. We had the deviled eggs and they were very good as well. The food was good and the service topped it off. They went above and beyond which is rare these days. Prices were reasonable!

Yelp
The food was fresh, flavorful, and tasted great. Everything was really clean and the restaurant had a really good vibe. The bartender was helpful and attentive.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Columbus. If we have guests, this is usually where we take them - wonderful food, balance between casual and stylish, great service, and reasonable prices. We've sat both outside (there's a big patio out back) and inside. The sweet corn pasta is so amazing and unique. Drinks are good too.
google avatar

Jen J.

Yelp
Great find! A colleague wanted to check this place out while we were in town, and I'm glad we did. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed drinks and some appetizers, and then I had a burger with some of the best tots I've ever had served in a cute basket. Everyone enjoyed their meals, which was great because we were quite the mixed group.

Yelp
Went in on a Sunday while busting Columbus. It was busy but still had no wait and the food came out very quickly. Everything was very fresh and the mimosas had unique flavors which I enjoyed. The ambiance is relaxed, we sat on the back patio which blocked most of the wind and had space heaters. My whole crew enjoyed this place so much that we are planning to come bank in September. My picky Fiancé also rated this 10/10.

Yelp
My son and I enjoyed a delish dinner here Tuesday evening. We both had variations off of their Old Fashioned menu, I had the original my son had the Oaxaca which he really liked. I love Oaxaca and need to get back soon but I'm not a big fan of mezcal, simply too smoky for this girl. I'm a bourbon lover through and through. We shared the pimento cheese app, which we both liked. My son had the chicken sando and I eventually decided on the burger. I was eying the lamb burger but our server described it as gamey which was an immediate no go for me. I like lamb but the term gamey threw me. I usually eat cheeseburgers once every 56 days before my blood donations but they aren't a menu item I'd usually order - I loved this burger! Made me happy to have chosen it. There's a burger in Paris at Ferdi that I was recently thinking of and while I may not have time to grab it on my next trip, enjoying this burger made me happy. Delish!!! If you like burgers, get this burger. The fries were tasty too. I think they were playing the secret life of pets on the bar tv which I thought was such a super cute touch to the place. We'll definitely be adding Animal Farm into our dining rotation in the Columbus area. Highly recommend! We were too full for dessert but ordered the pumpkin cheese cake to go and it was delish later that night. The place wasn't too busy at 515p but make a rezzie online to be on the safe side especially if you're looking for a Friday or Saturday evening. I find restaurants in this area tend to hook up and it's better to be on the safe side you know ;)

Yelp
Had the Red Snapper and it was very good. Nice lunch meal, just the right amount of food. Family had Chicken sandwich, Asian salad and popcorn chicken. Everything was tasty and enjoyable. Server was great and the place was nice overall, we were stuck at back table next to kitchen but it wasn't too bad. Burgers looked good would consider them for sure if came back.

Yelp
LOUD! Great food!! Lively restaurant. Very attentive service. A lot of people were having a lot of fun on a Sunday at noon here. Thus, it was loud!
google avatar

Yelp
Food is so good and the service is fast friendly and kind. Cute little restaurant with down home atmosphere. A must stop

Jennifer H.

Yelp
We're from out of town and came here for lunch. The food is amazing - (kudos to the chefs!) I had the soup of the day and the wedge salad. Delicious! Other entrees at our table were a harlot burger and the shrimp burger. Everyone loved it. The service was outstanding - prompt, courteous. Not a huge place but that is ok. Menu isn't extensive but what they have is perfection!
google avatar

Nathan M.

Yelp
We had a late breakfast that was spectacular! WARNING- big servings- I had the grits bowl that was loaded with sausage, bacon, eggs, tater tots, and cheese. My wife gave the Asian crunch salads and gave it a 10/10.
google avatar

Andrea O.

Yelp
My tastebuds were happy that fried okra, pimento cheese and grits were on the menu. The Animal Farm gives a unique twist to American Southern favorites. Hamburgers with toppings like gardenia mix, Greek lamb burger with whipped feta and tzatziki, BLT with black pepper candied bacon, basil Mayo and arugula....I could go on, but you need to check it out for yourself! They have inside and outdoor seating. We opted for outdoor with no wait time. Outdoor fans, colorful sails, and a tree kept us cool. The kitchen was backed up a bit, but nothing crazy. It was a Friday night, after all. Our waiter communicated with us about our food, and offered more beverages. It was a relaxing evening.

Doris C.

Yelp
Food is outstanding!! Love the Harlot Burger! Service is great this place does not disappoint!!

Yelp
It was all wonderful, best salad I've ever had. Service was amazing and just a charming place.

Yelp
Good food, excellent service and cute restaurant. It did take a minute to actually get our food. I would recommend The Animal Farm.

Yelp
I was in town for a conference, and it had been an extremely long day. I wanted something close, comforting and, of course, tasty. I saw a picture of The Animal Farm's Harlot Burger, and it sounded just like what I needed, so I zipped on over. I got myself situated at the bar, where the friendly and knowledgeable bartender (everybody there was very nice) took good care of me. I opted for the Harlot Burger (well, duh!) with a side salad. The side salad was nicely curated, and I appreciated the presence of some pickled items (all in all, good acidity)--it was a good counterpoint to the burger. Of course, you're wondering how the burger was, since that was the whole point of coming here. The Harlot Burger was incredibly satisfying and delicious--one of the best burgers I've had in a while--and I have to say that all things considered, it wasn't as heavy as I would have expected. And that meant I had room for dessert, which in this case was a lovely slice of peanut butter pie with chocolate ganache. I enjoyed every last yummy bite of it. (In fact, I liked it so much that I came back the next night with my friend, a peanut butter pie lover, so she could pick up one to-go.) I should also note that I had a mocktail whose name escapes me (and I didn't take a photo of the drink menu), but it was lovely to look at, super refreshing and paired nicely with my food. My only complaint about The Animal Farm is that it's not close enough to LA for me to eat there regularly, but next time I'm back in Columbus, I will return here for sure.

Yelp
Quaint downtown location with engaged staff. Good beer selection. The food was tasty.

Yelp
This place is crazy popular! We went for Sunday brunch around noon and it was packed but we only had a 15-minute wait. We shopped next door at the very cute boutique (with great prices and cute clothes and earrings, btw) while we waited. We were seated within the promised 15 minutes and started off with the Conecuh pigs in a blanket. They were amazing, and had a blackberry compote and mustard for dipping. The puff pastry was so perfectly crisp - really good stuff. For mains, we had chicken and waffles (impressive looking and delicious), the tomato soup with grown-up grilled cheese (the soup was bright and delicious, the sourdough bread and cheeses made a deliciously decadent sammie), and the breakfast sammie with sausage and bacon (also amazing, rich and delicious). Our server, Marcus, was a personality+ fun and informative server. Coffee was rich and plentiful, and mimosas were fun and festive. Overall we loved this place and will be back for sure.

Yelp
Out of this world food!!!! It is my new favorite place to eat in Columbus!!!! Service was just as amazing at the food!

Yelp
Great service at the bar! Food was exceptionally good and the drinks were phenomenal. Had the best expresso martini and oaxaca old fashioned! Definitely come check them out!

Yelp
Spent a little time in Columbus for work and went to the Animal Farm twice. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. I cannot recommend this place enough. It was packed both times I went in and since I was by myself I just sat at the bar. The bartenders were very friendly and checked in often with me. For dinner, I had a the pork belly sandwich with fries and a Moscow mule (happy hour $6). Everything was delicious. The sandwich was a little messy with the avocado and pork sliding all over the place but the flavors were incredible! The next morning, I can in for brunch. I had a delightful Bloody Mary and per the bartender's recommendation I had the Grits Bowl. It was great! Phenomenal atmosphere. Great food. Friendly service. Will be stopping by here when in town. Highly recommend making a reservation if you have a party. As I wrote it was pretty packed on a Saturday night/Sunday morning.
google avatar

Benjamin C.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. I had the Korean BBQ pork belly, whiskey sour, and braised beef pasta. The beef pasta was deliciously crafted. The pasta itself tasted local/homemade, and the beef was very tender. The red wine reduction highlighted the beef flavors quite well. And the mozzarella with cheese curds inside added that special kick. The whiskey sour with egg was good, and the pork belly was good too. The house made white kimchi (with pork belly dish) was interesting, but still good even though it wasn't spicy.

Yelp
Such a cute spot. Their patio was the best spot for brunch on a busy Saturday. Full restaurant and still great service from Emma. She was quick with drinks and quick to clear our table. We had the deviled eggs and pimento cheese appetizers to start. Both were great. $8 mimosa is not a bad deal at all! The cranberry one was better than the regular one. The grit bowl was maybe $15 and was really good. The bacon was crispy and the grits were cheesy. I ate the whole thing. They were full and still fit us in. The patio is partly covered but spacious. Very cute little spot. Parking can be a challenge. If you're in Columbus, this is a must do place.

Kyle F.

Yelp
I recently visited this restaurant while in town visiting family. The staff was amazing .the food was superb. I highly recommend the lamb burger. It was so juicy.

Viki B.

Yelp
The food was exquisite! Each plate that was served was excellent. The service was mediocre and the server had a bit of an attitude. - no refills either.

Lauren F.

Yelp
The food was great as were the cocktails! All 4 of us ordered something different and each dish was wonderful. They do a good job of shading the back patio in the heat of summer so we didn't mind being outside. I would definitely return here if we visit Columbus again.

Yelp
This was such a delightful dining experience. Reservations for 2 . Greeted immediately and shown our seats. Quick service to start with our drinks. My espresso martini was one of the best I've had. Perfectly sweet and a sprinkle of sea salt on top? So good. The breakfast sandwich had both bacon and sausage and my husband loved it. I had the Harlot burger. It was fantastic- every bite! The ambiance/ decor was bright, cheerful and welcome! Thank you TAF!
google avatar

Andy B.

Yelp
I went there this past weekend for brunch and sat at the bar. Devon, the bartender, took exceptional care of me! I started with a gin Bloody Mary, which was flavorful. For my brunch I selected the crab cake Benedict, served with two gorgeous portions of crabmeat. Instead of a hollandaise, they opted with a bearnaise, which was sensational! The crab cakes were on a bed of asparagus and topped with perfectly poached eggs. I had a coffee brown ale with the meal. The place had a cozy vibe, very farm to table. I'll definitely be back to try something else.

Yelp
Loved having lunch at The Animal Farm! It was so tasty. We dined outside after whitewater rafting. It was a short and pleasant walk from the complex. Chris was our server and he was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals and cocktails. My mocktail was pretty and super tasty. My lamb burger and roasted veggies were so delicious. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. The service was impeccable, everyone was so personable and attentive. Looooved it!
